Auto System Shut Down

Currently I am trying to put together a new computer. I have all the parts needed, and they are compatible. I put everything together, double/tripled checked all connections. when i try to turn it on, it runs for about 10 seconds, then just shuts off. ;(  I'm running it bare, i have no monitor, keyboard, mouse, and sound connected. I just turned it on barebone.
I am using:
K7N2 Delta-L Motherboard
AMD 2800 Benton
2x 512 kingston Ram sticks
80gb 7200rpm hard drive
floppy
DVD drive
CD/RW drive
350watt enermax power supply
I have tried taking one of the ram sticks out and turning it on, it didn't work.
I tired getting a new 350watt antec power supply, it didn't work.
WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?!?!  ?(  ;(
Once again my problem is that the system shuts down automaticly after I turn it on. It will run for about 10 seconds then... it's down again.
PLEASE!! SOMEONE HELP!!  ;(

CMOS is the chip that stores ya bios info like date, time and cpu settings etc.
It's the 3 pins bellow the small round silver battery.
On my K7N2-L (non Delta) it's jumper JBAT1
It as 2 settings 1 = keep data (normal use)
                 2 = clear data
look at following X = jumper position o = empty pin
Keep data
O
x
x
Clear data
x
x
o
after clearing cmos (do it with power off on PC or u will fry it) u will then need to setup bios again.
If this still wont boot have a look at jumpers J10 & J11
J10 sets cpu fsb mode
J11 sets cpu fsb frequency.
Look in ya manual it's in there.
Try to get PC to post by setting J11 to
J11  o     J10  o
     x          o  J10 not bridged = 100mhz
     x
J11 safe mode cpu fsb 100mhz.
It will post then. Just the cpu will be set to a lower speed then it is.
If it posts go in to bios and hit set bios default then bridge  J10 making it 133/166 mhz and J11 x
                                          x
                                          o  this sets J11 to default 133
reboot and it should post good cpu speed.
Hope u understand all this junk i just wrote

  • System shut down during F110 payment run

During the F110 payment run, the PRD system shut down. There were 259 items in the proposal and according to the status 42 posting orders were generated and completed. What is the process to handle this problem? Can the payment run be re-started?
It appears that clearing documents were created for some open items before the system shut down but no checks are showing in the check register. Has this happened to anyone before and what steps should be taken to resolve this?

    Is it a matter of...
    1. deleting the output of the payment run,
    2. deleting the proposal
    3. canceling the the payment check by check using FCH8 if any occurred
    4. reseting and reversing the clearing documents created using FBRA before the system shut down
    5. start a new payment run

  • Premiere Pro CS4 crashes and system shuts down while rendering

    Hi All,
Good morning everyone, my system shuts down while rendering using Adobe media encoder from premiere pro. I have tried the following:
    1.Completely removing CS4 and reinstalling.
    2. Updating all the video drivers.
    3. Re installing the Operating System (XP and Vista)
But the issue persists, i have attached the crash report and any thoughts are highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Vincent

A number of problems pop out of your DXDIAG:
Both your video driver and your audio driver are more than 3 years old.
Your F drive is slow, because of the fill rate of 90%. You lack other hard disks.
You have Matrox, BlackMagic, Nero, Sony, DivX and other stuff installed. It has been a long time ago that I have seen such a long list of DirectShow filters installed.
Suggestions: Update your drivers, clean up your F drive and add another disk, remove all that Matrox stuff, possibly include BlackMagic and Sony.
What export/encoding settings do you use from what sequence settings?

  • IMac from 2009, 4 GB RAM. System shuts down when I use safari or make much moves on the trackpath.

I've got an iMac from 2009, 4 GB RAM. System shuts down when I use safari or make much moves on the trackpath. Use Mavericks, installed Mavericks again on clean system. Problem still exist. What now?

The 2009 iMaccan take 8 GB ram, while it should run ok with 4 it might be a rather inexpensive test to put in 8 and see if that clears up the problems.  Mavericks is going to use almost 2 GB itself so, unless you are opening a lot of applications, you should get by with 4 GB.  But I would go for 8 and see how it does.

  • System shuts down while burning project

While burning a DVD project the system shuts down randomly. I started burning a project and everything went fine until it started actually writing to the DVD. I walked away from the system for a minute and when I came back it was off. When I restarted it the DVD was unusable.
I thought it may have had something to do with the energy saver features, so I turned off anything that would put the hard drive or display to sleep. I even surfed the Net during one burn to make sure the system remained active, but it shut off anyway.
I ruined 3 DVDs so far. Any thoughts?

Do you get any output from iDVD in the console log when this happens?

  • SYstem Shuts Down Every Time if on AC Power.

    1. This does not happen if running on battery.
    2. Lenovo suggested test seem to prove it is not a hardware problem  --doesn't happen if on "F1" key.
    3. Replaced power cord -no change
    4. They think it could be  defective Windows 7 Upgrade.  Did not point to Virus.  I have Virus protection.
    5. Does not happen when booting up.  Only when startup is complete and W7 Start screed is up.
    6. Started happening a couple of months ago, at random, once a day.  Now it goes black in just minutes, overtime.
7 W7 was installed bout six months ago.  Was fine.
8 Can't reload W7 because Microsoft requires you to be on AC power to load.
    9. If attempt to load from CD, system shuts down --goes black, complete shut down.

    Hi, ttranfagli
I have a few questions so I can get a better grip on the issue at hand:
What is your machine type and model? Also, what do you mean by "if on "F1" key"? Also, have you tried this in Safe Mode? Finally, does this occur if the machine is running off of AC power only with the battery removed?
    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

  • System shuts down immediately upon build

My whole computer shuts down immediately upon trying to build a project. It only happens with one project. I can build other projects just fine. I was able to build this project just fine 5 months ago. I deleted the build folder to save space, but have made no other changes since then, other than transferring the project folder to another hard drive. Now every time I try to build the whole computer immediately shuts down.
My first thought, is somehow an asset went bad, but I have no idea how that could have happened because every thing worked fine five months ago. I can't even determine what causes the crash from the log because it happens immediately. I have tried transferring the project folder to other hard drives, but the same thing occurs. My biggest question is even with a corrupt asset why would the entire system shut down. I would think I would just receive an error message.
Thoughts on correcting the problem or any information as to what could cause the whole system to shut down would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Jurgen,
Thanks for your reply.  You are right, the key was in that file. (Volker also pointed me in that direction). For some reason it had a name for my server that was not in my CFTGCP #10.
    WARNING => DpNetCheck: NiHostToAddr(PTC02.PTC) failed (rc=-2)
I do not know where it got that address from.  It is close to the correct address but because it was not exactly correct the network access failed.  Once I made the change the jobs stayed up.
On to to the next problem....

  • Recently I tried adding disc menu to my project and an error occurs and system shuts down using pre9

Recently I tried adding disc menu to my project and an error occurs and system shuts down using pre elements 9 on mac how can this be repaired

From the Premiere Elements Information FAQ http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1042180
•What version of Premiere Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Elements 9 with the 9.0.1 update).
•What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac".
•Have you installed any recent program or OS updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
•What kind(s) of image file(s)? When talking about camera raw files, include the model of camera.
•If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
•What were you doing when the problem occurred?
•What other software are you running?
•Tell us about your computer hardware. How much RAM is installed?  How much free space is on your system (C:) drive?
•Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Premiere Elements, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?
    And some other questions...
•What are you editing, and does your video have a red line over it BEFORE you do any work?
•Have you viewed the tutorial links at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1275830 page?
•Which version of Quicktime do you have installed?

  • My computer starts, bar completes half way and the system shuts down. Dont know what happened.

Starting abnormally, Like when I start my MacBook pro which is almost new. A bar runs on the white screen and then when it reached half way system shut down. Can anyone help. Any way to reset my computer.
Also, when I am going to option, the system doesn't allow me by saying hard disk is locked. Kindly help out

OS X- Gray progress bar appears under Apple logo during startup
I suggest you need to erase your drive and reinstall OS X. Be prepared for the possibility that your hard drive has failed.
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • USB external HD does not turn off after system shut down

This is not a new issue in Leopard. I had this issue also in Tiger but I never bothered to ask whether there may be a solution to this issue.
I have firewire as well as USB HDs attached to my iMac. If I put my computer to sleep both the firewire and the USB HDs turn themselves off. The HDs come back to live after I reawake the Mac. But if I turn off the iMac then only the firewire HDs turn themselves off. The USB HDs remain turned on.
Is there a setting somewhere that can be changed so that the USB external HDs turn themselves off after system shut down?

Since the issue is not a Leopard issue, and maybe not even a Tiger issue, you might check with the drive manufacturer for some assistance.
Does the drive turn off when you eject it and then pull out the USB plug? That's important.

  • U410 display and system shut down way too fast when inactive

    Hey guys,
the display of my u410 shuts down when I am afk for more more or less one minute and shortly after the system goes into energy saving mode (don't know how to say that in English, its the same thing that happens, when I close the lid).
Due to my energy management settings this shouldn't happen  for at least 5 minutes after last action in battery mode and not at all in plugged-in mode and it still does.
When watching a film it doesn't happen but sometimes while watching a youtube video on full screen, and all the time when not on full screen.
It also happens when I'm downloading stuff and clearly don't want to sit in front of the laptop for over an hour moving the mouse every now and then just to make sure it doesn't turn itself off, because then the download gets interrupted.
Would be awesome if somebody could give me a quick hint how to fix this!!!

  • System Shuts Down with no Error in Log

My System will randomly shut down, especially if I am ripping a CD.  I am not sure if it is heat as the machine stays pretty cool.
Though since I put in my Old Video Card I keep getting a System Beep during POST (1 long, 3 Short)
According to the Forums that should be a conventianal Memory error, but everything seems to work fine and I dont always get the beeps.  I have reseated the RAM and this machine has not had any issues since I built over 18 months ago.
Any thoughts?  Could the Memory do this?  I was under the impression that Memory Error caused a BSOD not shut down the system, where Heat or Power would cause that?
    Any help would be appreciated

Sorry about the temperature thing     At the moment I have PCAlert 4 on the system and it shows 56-57 C.  Is there a program out there that I can monitor the Temperature (Performance Log) and even the power at given times?

  • Satellite L750D system shuts down without warning

My Satellite 750 D is about 1 1/2 yrs old and since about two months it has developed this habit about just switching the whole system off as if I pressed the power button or surprisingly cut the energy.
The sound it makes is something like a whistle doing its last sound.
I really have no idea why my notebook does it. I've checked on viruses multiple times and there's nothing. It can't be lack of battery either since I'm not using it on akku.
I should add that the LED with the cable symbol goes off for a few seconds when it happens.
I'm afraid to give my notebook for reparation since its problem doesn't show up every time. But it happened twice yesterday and twice today and it's starting to annoy me.
Any good advice for me? I'd appreciate it!

    Hi buddy,
Satellite 750D is not known to, I never heard about such a notebook model from Toshiba. Can you check the exact model number on bottom side again?
If your notebook is already 1,5 years old, have you already cleaned it using compressed air spray? Theoretically it could shut down due a higher internal temperature.

  • Lost my email after system shut down to do updates

Help!!!  Just when I thought my learning curve was over... I have a dilmea.  I updated my systems... computer shut down... when it restarted I went to send an email... and I can't find anything to do with email.  Where could it have gone?  How do I get it back?  I was going to do systems restore up until yesterday.. but I can't even find that.  Please help me!!!

Power failure is a dangerous situation.
    Your database may become inconsistent.
    A quick checklist would be:
-Try starting only the database first, don't start sap, database most probably wont and might need some sort of recovery ( i am quoting oracle database here) do the required recovery or troubleshooting and make sure that database is not giving out any errors in its log files. if database starts up correctly all is fine.
-if the database starts, start sap, sap normally should start up correctly.
-if SAP starts properly, check system log SM21
-check SM13 check for any failed updates - if there have been failed ones, one needs to carefully analyse them.
-check if the system log is not showing any logs
-check ST22 is not giving any wierd dumps (if it is investigate why)
Can't think of much right now.. maybe you can wait and see what others have to say.

    Siddhesh

  • System shuts down immediately after starting

I have performed a system copy using a procedure that worked great for me in the past. The target was an new empty iSeries that has never been used before.  Everything seemed to copy just normally.
    The problem is this:
I log on as <SID>OFR and start the system with option 2 from the R3TASKS menu.   The usual work process jobs start up and immediately shut down.
The WP jobs have this in the job log:
    CPC1224
    Message . . . . :   Job ended abnormally.
Cause . . . . . :   A SIGKILL signal was received for the job. The action for the signal was to terminate the job.
Any suggestions of how to determine the cause here?
    Thank you
    Alan
