Automatic call blocking from invalid numbers/Smart Limits for Wireless changes

It would be nice if your call routing system could be set to AUTOMATICALLY prevent calls from invalid phone numbers from being completed. As an example, I have received calls on my cell phone with the following Caller ID numbers in the last few days: 408-189-xxxx728-727-xxxx The first number uses an invalid exchange (189); the second an inactive area code (728). These were both obviously spoofed numbers that spammers/fraudsters are using. While I get many, many more nuisance calls than these examples each week, it would relieve some of the call volume if your system blocks these calls in the first place. I also subscribe to the Smart Limits call blocking service. 30 numbers is NOT enough to cover all of the spam calls I get. Could this be increased to at least 200? I have already used up all 30 slots in my Smart Limits. I also have over 50 numbers programmed into my phone's phonebook that have been flagged as spammers. Since they can either change the numbers they transmit on a regular basis, or there's just so many of them to begin with, 30 numbers is much too low. Would it also be possible to count and record the date and time when calls have last been blocked and have this information posted with the list of my blocked numbers? It would be useful to see how many times that calls from the number have been received and when the last one was blocked. I could then delete that number from my block list and replace it with one that has had more activity.

Hi there
Thank you for posting your valuable feedback on our Smart Limits service!
As with everything we offer, we rely on this feedback to provide services that our customers find useful, and to make existing products even better. I agree that adding an automatic block for such calls would be an awesome option, ad would being able to increase the blocked contact limit and see records of those blocked calls! There may be some technical limitations preventing us from adding these features at this time, but we will certainly pass your comments on to the teams that can make this happen!
Thanks again!

  • Block from key in business area for company do not have business area

    Dear experts,
How can I do a validation rule to block from key in business area for company do not have business area?
    Kindly advice.
    tks!

    Hi,
One option, you can create role via Tcode PFCG for each user/company which do not have business area. You can disable the business area in authorization tab.
One more option you can greyed or freezed the business area field for the company which do not have the business area by using Tcode OBC4. You can suppress the business area field for each GL that been used by the company code. In other words, you create special field status group for the company and suppress the business area.
    Hope this will help you.
    TQ

  • Sending IDocs from ForEach Block from BPM disables my XI for 10 Minutes!

    Hi guys,
I have a scenarion, where my SOAP adapter sends XML into XI, this passes it into BPM, which splits this XML in block to multiple IDoc and these are sent into R/3 system. This really works, but unfortunately, when I send the message into the SOAP adapter, my BOX is unavailable for cca 10 minutes and the documents contains only 2 IDocs!!  After these 10 minutes is everything ok and the  IDocs are in the R/3 system ...
    What could be wrong??
Any idea is welcome, thanx in advance!
    Peter

    Michal,
First I tried to do this with my BPM:
before the change, I was mapping the message to IDoc directly in the BPM block part (I had abstract interfaces for message and for IDoc) and sending the Idoc away from the BPM
after the change, I tried to send away from the BPM just the message and try to make mapping to IDoc on the way from the BPM to rhe R/3 system
(it didn't help, my box was unavailable for 6minutes again)
I checked the BPM - sending of the both massage was in the same second! So the problem could be only in
a, MAPPING (not very possible - tests take few seconds)
    b, in sending IDoc
But what could be wrong?? What could take so many resources??
To the header mapping: I have deleted the Ad Spec Ids and added the header mapping (sender service, receiver service)...  But the ALE error was there again!
Honestly, I have read the header mapping docu, but didn't unterstand it, how could it be useful in this case..

The obvious way is to check event of one of axis out of range and set its border value programmatically. But in that case graph would be temporary out of range. Is there any way to "solid" graph on plotted data border?

  • Smart Limits not working on iPhone 5

Wednesday it works. Thursday it doesn't. Friday I it works and tells me all the texts and call data. Today does not show any activity but I know there were texts because I was one of them!
Is this normal? Is it because it's an iPhone?

    Good Afternoon ,
I would be happy to answer your questions regarding AT&T Smart Limits for your iPhone! AT&T Smart Limits is a feature that allows you to restrict certain activities for mobile users on your account.
Viewing call and text logs can be done from your myAT&T profile online or through the myAT&T app.  There is a delay for text, call, and data usage to appear online.
You can set up notifications and alerts for certain device activity through AT&T Smart Limits. Please click here to be taken to our support page on creating alerts.
I would like to also mention that iMessages (texting through Apple’s servers are considered multimedia messages, not a standard text) cannot be restricted.  If you block data usage on an iPhone through Smart Limits, and the iPhone is set up to use iMessages for text messages, this will disable texting to and from that phone.
    Thank you,

  • Automatic delivery block to be reduced - Credit management?

    Hi All,
I was asked by a user to change automatic delivery block from 60 days to 30 days for a given credit control area. On further talks with the user, she gave an example where a customer had overdues for more than 60 days and hence went on a block.
After my analysis, i found in OVA8 the following 3 credit check conditions:
    1) Static check
    2) Open item check (Max%=50, Days = 60)
    3) Oldest open item check (90days)
Also for unchecked documents area on top right of OVA8, the deviation mentioned was 20% and No,of days=60 days.
My quesiton, is which of these settings will I have to change to get the automatic delivery block to 30 days from 60 days? Is it point no.2?
I also want to know which credit check condition was triggered for the customer to go into a credit block and what date the customer went into a block.
    Thanks,
    Tejas

    Hi
you can check in VKM1, which type of credit check was trigerred, there are fields like STAT, DYNA, OILT, OpIT
First find out due to which your document was blocked, it seems it is open items, if you read open items you will find
Credit check against overdue open items
Specifies whether the system carries out a credit check based on open
        items.
    Use
This type of credit check works in conjunction with two values that you
        specify in the adjacent fields:
o   Maximum % of overdue items in open items
o   Number of days which the open items are overdue
The proportion of overdue open items (that exceed the specified number
of days) in the total of open items should not exceed the percentage
        specified.
so in your case items which exceeded 60 days (overdue) should not exceed 50% of all open items. This should have been triggered.
Now if you want to have credit block for all items which are above 30 days than you should use Oldest Open Items and change it to 30 days

  • Conned by Automatic Call RecorderPC (Phishing Risk...

    Hi Nokia,
Please help about Windows Phone 8 App that was purchased from Windows Phone 8 Store. The App called Automatic Call RecorderPC from Publisher called Win Phone Apps, seems to be a con. After installing Automatic Call RecorderPC on my Nokia Lumia 1020 (Windows Phone 8 - Lumia Black), on opening, the App redirects to a web page that describes about Android installation. As loyal patron of Nokia, Windows Phone 8 and .NET developer, I hereby report this to Nokia in order to help Windows Phone 8 users like me with concerns to this duplicity and risk of Phishing. BTW, I lost money INR 360.
Here’s the URL to Automatic Call RecorderPC: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-in/store/app/automatic-call-recorderpc/2b5e35d1-ee5d-4795-b7c1-a18ab7...
    Please clarifyme about this doubt.
    Thanks

    Thank you for the reply.
I reported concern to Microsoft immediately. However, the reporting function has only radio buttons like Malware or Virus, Privacy concerns, Misleading app etc.
The radio buttons should me replaced by check boxes.
BTW, there's one more App from the Publisher Win Phone Apps called Call Recorder Full App4PC that is listed on the Windows Phone Store.
This is news to me because I thought Windows Store was foolproof.
    Yep, yet another con!!!

  • How to Call Function from SAPSCRIPT

I want to Call a function from my SAPSCRIPT to get some data and print the same in the form , Can I get an example for this

    Hi Nandan,
U cannot directly call function from SAPScript... For that u have to create one include in which u need to write the code. Using Perform... EndPerform u can call the same from SAPScript. See the below example
u need to write this code in SAPScript
    PERFORM formname IN PROGRAM includename
    USING &field1&
    USING &field2&
    CHANGING &field3&
    ENDPERFORM
Here includename is your include type program.
u need to write this code in your include type program..
FORM formname TABLES in_par STRUCTURE itcsy
                            out_par STRUCTURE itcsy.
    data : var1 like field1,
           var2 like field2,
           var3 like field3.
READ TABLE in_par WITH KEY 'field1'.
      CHECK sy-subrc = 0.
      var1 = in_par-value.
READ TABLE in_par WITH KEY 'field2'.
      CHECK sy-subrc = 0.
      var2 = in_par-value.
now u can call corresponding function using local VAR1 and VAR2. Here u can pass N no of USING parameters.
    After processing on VAR3...
READ TABLE out_par WITH KEY 'field3'.
      out_par-value = VAR3.
      MODIFY out_par INDEX sy-tabix.
    EndForm.
Here in_par and out_par are the structures which will be used to communicate with SAPScript. And this is the only way as per my view.
I m sure this code will work fine. Here i have used dummy variables that u need to change as per your requirement. If u have more queries write me back.
And yes if this works than dont forget to give the points.
    Regards,
    Sagar

    Hi
tolerance limits for price variancesin Purchase order
When processing a purchase order, the system checks whether the effective price of a PO item shows variances compared with the valuation price stored in the material master record. In addition, it checks whether the specified cash discount value is admissible.
Variances are allowed within the framework of tolerance limits. If a variance exceeds a tolerance limit, the system issues a warning or error message.
In the SAP System, the types of variance are represented by the tolerance keys. For each tolerance key, you can define percentage and value-dependent upper and lower limits per company code.
    Standard settings
The standard SAP System supplied contains the following tolerance keys:
    PE Price variance, Purchasing
Tolerance limit for system message no. 207. This message appears if the specified effective price exceeds the predefined tolerances when compared with the material price.
SE Maximum cash discount deduction, Purchasing
Tolerance limit for system message no. 231. This is a warning message, which appears when the specified cash discount percentage exceeds the predefined tolerances.
    Note
You can specify whether the system message appears as a warning or error message using the menu options Environment -> Define Attributes of System Messages.
For Invoices specify the tolerance limits for each tolerance key for each company code.
When processing an invoice, the R/3 System checks each item for variances between the invoice and the purchase order or goods receipt. The different types of variances are defined in tolerance keys.
The system uses the following tolerance keys to check for variances:
AN: Amount for item without order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks every line item in an invoice with no order reference against the absolute upper limit defined.
AP: Amount for item with order reference
If you activate the item amount check, the system checks specific line items in an invoice with order reference against the absolute upper limit defined. Which invoice items are checked depends on how you configure the item amount check.
    BD: Form small differences automatically
The system checks the balance of the invoice against the absolute upper limit defined. If the upper limit is not exceeded, the system automatically creates a posting line called Expense/Income from Small Differences, making the balance zero and allowing the system to post the document.
BR: Percentage OPUn variance (IR before GR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units : quantity invoiced in order units and quantity ordered in order price quantity units : quantity ordered in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage tolerance limits.
BW: Percentage OPUn variance (GR before IR)
The system calculates the percentage variance between the following ratios: quantity invoiced in order price quantity units: quantity invoiced in order units and goods receipt quantity in order price quantity units : goods receipt quantity in order units. The system compares the variance with the upper and lower percentage limits defined.
    DQ: Exceed amount: quantity variance
If a goods receipt has been defined for an order item and a goods receipt has already been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (total quantity delivered - total quantity invoiced)).
If no goods receipt has been defined, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced - (quantity ordered - total quantity invoiced)).
The system compares the outcome with the absolute upper and lower limits defined.
This allows relatively high quantity variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small quantity variances for invoice items for larger amounts.
You can also configure percentage limits for the quantity variance check. In this case, the system calculates the percentage variance from the expected quantity, irrespective of the order price, and compares the outcome with the percentage limits configured.
The system also carries out a quantity variance check for planned delivery costs.
DW: Quantity variance when GR quantity = zero
If a goods receipt is defined for an order item but none has as yet been posted, the system multiplies the net order price by (quantity invoiced + total quantity invoiced so far).
The system then compares the outcome with the absolute upper tolerance limit defined.
If you have not maintained tolerance key DW for your company code, the system blocks an invoice for which no goods receipt has been posted yet. If you want to prevent this block, then set the tolerance limits for your company code for tolerance key DW to Do not check.
    KW: Variance from condition value
The system calculates the amount by which each delivery costs item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * planned delivery costs/ planned quantity. It compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
LA: Amount of blanket purchase order
The system calculates the sum of the value invoiced so far for the order item and the value of the current invoice and compares it with the value limit of the purchase order. It then compares the difference with the upper percentage and absolute tolerances defined.
LD: Blanket purchase order time limit exceeded
The system determines the number of days by which the invoice is outside the planned time interval. If the posting date of the invoice is before the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the start of the validity period. If the posting date of the invoice is after the validity period, the system calculates the number of days between the posting date and the end of the validity period. The system compares the number of days with the with the absolute upper limit defined.
    PP: Price variance
The system determines by how much each invoice item varies from the product of quantity invoiced * order price. It then compares the variance with the upper and lower limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
When posting a subsequent debit/credit, the system first checks if a price check has been defined for subsequent debits/credits. If so, the system calculates the difference between (value of subsequent debit/credit + value invoiced so far) / quantity invoiced so far * quantity to be debited/credited and the product of the quantity to be debited/credited * order price and compares this with the upper and lower tolerance limits (absolute limits and percentage limits).
    PS: Price variance: estimated price
If the price in an order item is marked as an estimated price, for this item, the system calculates the difference between the invoice value and the product of quantity invoiced * order price and compares the variance with the upper and lower tolerance limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
When posting a subsequent debit/credit, the system first checks whether a price check has been defined for subsequent debits/credits, If so, the system calculates the difference between (value of subsequent debit/credit + value invoiced so far) / quantity invoiced so far * quantity to be debited/credited and the product quantity to be debited/credited * order price. It then compares the variance with the upper and lower tolerance limits defined (absolute limits and percentage limits).
ST: Date variance (value x days)
The system calculates for each item the product of amount * (scheduled delivery date - date invoice entered) and compares this product with the absolute upper limit defined. This allows relatively high schedule variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small schedule variances for invoice items for large amounts.
    VP: Moving average price variance
When a stock posting line is created as a result of an invoice item, the system calculates the new moving average price that results from the posting. It compares the percentage variance of the new moving average price to the old price using the percentage tolerance limits defined.
Variances are allowed within predefined tolerance limits. If a variance exceeds a tolerance limit, however, the system issues a message informing the user. If an upper limit (except with BD and VP) is exceeded, the invoice is blocked for payment when you post it. You must then release the invoice in a separate step. If the tolerance limit for BD is breached, the system cannot post the invoice.
Note that if you set all limits for a tolerance key to Do not check, the system does not check that tolerance limit. Therefore any variance would be accepted. This does not make sense particularly in the case of the tolerance key Form small differences automatically.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Automated tool to convert from Forms to Dynamic Page for Oracle Portal?

    Hi Experts,
We are thinking to convert majority of the forms in our portal to dynamic pages. Is there any tool to automate the conversion from Forms to Dynamic page for Oracle Portal 9.0.4.1.0?
    Thanks, Abbas

    Dear Abbas,
You seem to have two issues... ;-)
If you are finding the Forms are getting corrupt very easily, I'd suggest you go and open a Service Request into Oracle Support (http://metalink.oracle.com). There are a couple of ways where you can have these not corrupted (depeding on the Portal version you are in) and if there isn't yet a way you may get a bug logged and fixed within the next patchset eventually (improving the product functionality).
As to changing it to a dynamic page it might give you a bit more flexibility... yeah. It really depends on what you desire to do. I'd slowly start to code them in this way if your goal is this. As to the former coded forms unfortunately as I've said there isn't a strait way to do that, so you may do this slowly in time...
I hope it helps you a bit further...
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • How to do I have my rented movie played from iTunes? I paid for it and the last time I checked, it was still downloading

I rented a movie called "Holes" from iTunes. I paid for it with my iTunes gift card. It took a long time to download the movie, so I went and took a nap. I woke up and tried to play the film and it will not show. It doesn't even show I purchased it nor does it show it's available to rent. The balance on my gift card shows the movie was paid for. Where is my movie? How do I play a rented movie I purchased for on iTunes?

All purchases are considered final, but you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download or credit you : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption
If you are on a very slow connection and it's going to take longer than 24 hours (48 hours if you aren't in the US) to download a rental then don't start playing it until it's completed downloading - the 24 or 48 hour countdown starts as soon as you click play.

  • How can we encourage Apple to develop blocking calls from specific numbers?

Looking through posts on here, I see that neither AT&T nor the iPhone itself permits an iPhone owner to block calls from one or more specific numbers.
For some reason, although I've had my mobile number for years, I've recently started to receive daily calls from one specific number, an ignorant person who calls at all times of the day and night, barely apologizing for yet again dialing incorrectly. Very annoying.
Yes, I know I could change my number, but literally hundreds of people have used this number for years, and I'm truly loathe to start over.
In reading posts here and on AT&T, I gather this is not an uncommon problem. I assume that even if AT&T is unwilling to institute call blocking, this is a problem Apple could solve with iPhone software. What's the best way to encourage Apple to include this in a future iPhone software update?
In advance, thanks for your guidance.

This would be something ATT would have to do since they provide the actual phone service.
In the meantime, you could create a ringtone of "silence" and assign it to that person's number. This way you wouldn't be disturbed when the person calls until you can work out a solution with ATT.
