Automatic Date Change

we added an automatically updated date at the bottom of the page to show users how often the website is updated and now the date shows up not only in small script at the bottom of the page, but in large script underneith the table that we use to organize our website. this only seems to show up on the pages that we have updated the dates on. But we cant find it anywhere in the code or design view. This is a project that we are making for FBLA and is due on monday the 11th of january but it only showed up now and we need it to be gone by the time we turn it in for judging. does anyone know how to fix this? we are using dreamweaver 8 i believe. an older version but the easiest one for us to use.

i can maybe post one on monday, the website in saved onto my student account at my school. if i can ask the teacher i may be able to get it sooner. its not online yet.

How to stop automatic date changes when opening an old document?

I use Pages to create my invoices. The problem I'm having is this: when there is a question about an invoice and I need to reopen it the date changes from the original date (which I need) to today's date. I understand why it does this, and I want it to do this when I create the thing, but is there a way to keep it from happening from saved documents?
As a follow up question: it must be very simple to find the date the document was created. Could someone please tell me where to find this?

You likely put a date stamp on your invoice via the menu hiearchy, Insert > Date & Time. Highlight the date string, then from a right-mouse button menu, choose Edit Date & Time... You will see another pop-up that gives you some control over your newly inserted Date & Time.

How to avoid automatic data change in service notification from work order

when I change work order address data the address data from the service notification connected to the order is changed too, how can I avoid this change? Is there anything on customizing to control whichs fields are updated automatically.

Hi,
You can trying using Books of Business.
Create a book and add that particular user to that book and at the time of task creation, through a workflow you can assign it to the corresponding book.
This might resolve the access issue you are facing.

Purchase Order Statistical Delivery Date changed automatically

In the purchase order, when I go to change the delivery date, the statistical delivery date changed automatically.
I do not want to change the statistical delivery date.
Is there any User Exit or BADI to validate this?

For validation, please check BADI - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST and Method - PROCESS_ITEM
From the interface - IF_PURCHASE_ORDER_ITEM_MM use method GET_SCHEDULES and subsequently from the interface IF_PURCHASE_ORDER_SCHEDULE_MM use method - GET_DATA to get schedule line details.

PO Workflow: PO needs to approved automatically when need-by-date changed

Process order date changes automatically while saving the order

Hi All,
While creating a process order in COR1, system proposes the scheduled start date and finish date as current date (today's date), but while saving the order, the dates automatically changes to previous day's date (one day before). Can any one help in what config change needs to stop this auatomatic date change..? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you to carrout Master reciepe scheduling and update the Inhouse production time to the material master, this would enable the basic start dates and sheduled start dates to be same.
If you dont want to carrout scheduling of order, then in OPUZ transaction for the plant/order type combination deactivate the check box for automatic scheduling.

Can OBIEE automatically update a filter if underlying data changes?

Suppose there is a saved request that shows some data set, and it uses the following filter: "Country_Name is equal to / is in USA".
Now suppose that the value in the underlying data source changes from "USA" to "United States". The aforementioned request would now return no data, since there is no "USA" anymore.
Other than changing the way the request was initially designed (i.e. setting the filter to use the Country_ID instead of Country_Name), how would you handle this case? Is there an approach to use in OBIEE that would handle updating the filter automatically? Is this simply bad report design? Do you build something into the ETL process that triggers some action (either manual or automated) if dimension tables are updated? I could probably do an XML Search and Replace in the catalog upon learning that the value changed, but I'm wondering if there is a better way.
Any thoughts?

First of all: The best way to avoid this is to use saved filters in your report... then you only need to change these filters, instead of every single report.
I don't think it is possible to automatically change the underlying filters of a report when data changes.
About ETL: when you implement a Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimension you will create a new record for the dimension when the value of a column changes, to preserve the history. This means you will get two records with two row_ids. In your fact table you will use the dimension's new row_id for new data.
For your report this means that it will give the same results for old data (because it filters on "USA"), but it won't show the new data, since it doesn't filter on "United States". So I don't think this ETL approach will solve your problem.
Maybe a Type 3 Slowly Changing Dimension can help you. This means that you will preserve the history in the same record, using 2 columns for example "Current Country" and "Prior Country". This can solve your problem because you will filter on the same records (which is not the case in Type 2 SCD). But it means you will get two country columns, which is not the most elegant solution maybe..
So maybe going through all your reports is the best way to solve your problem for now and encourage the report builders to use saved filters in their reports.

MS Project 2010 Start dates change automatically

Hi,
I hope someone can help with this project problem, its driving me insane!
I have a set of activities which have a start date of 01/09/2014, there are no predecessors to these tasks but there are successors, and a date constraint date (the project start date is 16/06/2014, and these tasks cannot start until 01/09/2014).
When I mark the tasks as 100% complete the dates do not change (as expected), however once I have saved the file and closed it, something weird happens. When I reopen the file the start date (not baseline start) of these tasks has changed to the project
start date (16/06/2014). The % complete is still reading 100% complete and the task finish date has remained the same.
These tasks are milestones and have no duration.
Another aspect that I have discovered is when I take out the % complete (and it returns to 0%), the start dates change back to 01/09/2014.
Can anyone tell me if I have a setting somewhere which I need to change as its driving me insane, the more tasks that are marked as 100% complete, the more tasks I have that change to the project start date, so the problem is getting worse as the days go
on!

Do you have the Project Status date set correctly, and is it set for the correct date? If its set back in June and under File, Options, Advanced the Move flags are selected you would get the behaviour you mention.

Equipment Master data changing automatically

Dear All,
this is weird but our SAP system is changing equipment's master data once it is created.
we have blocked all the possible chances of using T code "IE02-EQUIPMENT MASTER DATA CHANGE" at user end.
we are finding it very difficult to track because every time the equipment's action log displays new SAP ID's . we have checked with same ID but any where it is not possible for that user to have an authorization for IE02
it mainly changes the master data such as description/Manufacturer/Model number etc into some weird information. and this is happening at any time where in some cases it has been found that at 3:00 am or 4:00 am. we had also checked any background job is running at same timing but we couldn't found out any such case and this is happening without any prior notice so it is difficult for us also to monitor the same

I fee that you must investigate through table CDHDR. Run Tcode SE16 --> Give value CDHDR --> Enter.
Here input values as under ( OBJECTCLAS, OBJECTID, USERNAME) and Execute.
In the output, you observe the values of fields TCODE, UDATE. You will come to know whether these changes are happening through IE02 or some other Tcode.
Also you should try without giving the USERNAME also. In this case you will get the lines of both normal changes and surprise change also in the output, where you are likely to find out what is happening.
In a similar way, you can investigate through table CDPOS also.

Open Transactions in ECC for Master Data changes in MDM

Hi All,
I have a basic Design question on how to handle the impact of Data changes in MDM for any open transactions with that Master object. For eg if we have a Material set up in MDM and in ECC and there are open Purchase Orders for that Material, now if the Base Unit of Measure is changed in MDM and gets harmonized to ECC(After Workflow approval of the Change) how will it impact the PO attached to the material . Can we do any configuration in ECC that will restrict any Open PO s not to take the new changed value and any new POs taking up the new Base Unit of Measure , or can we set up an alert/notification that will trigger for a PO whenever any Master Data is changed and the PO takes the new changed value on the fly . What will be the best approach from a solution point of view .

Hi Prabuddha,
In ECC if a change happens to a master data not all the changes are reflected automatically in the open documents like open PO or open Sales order. Some fields values have to be redetermined for eg: "pricing procedure", some of them needs to be changed manually for eg: "Description". Moreover specific to your eg of Base unit of measure, this is a sensitive field and has lot of impact on the process so there for changing such fields it is necessary to close all the open documents against the Master data record in consideration. This fact is regardless whether the change happens through an IDoc or directly by MM02/XK02/XD02

No Data Change event generated for a XControl in a Type Def.

Hello,
Maybe I am missing something but the Data Change event of a XControl is not called when the XControl is used in a Type Def. or Strictly Type Def. (see the attached file).
There may be some logics behind it but it eludes me. Any idea of why or any idea of a workaround still keeping the Type Def. ?

Thank you for addressing this issue. It must be a XControl because it carries many implemented functions/methods (though there is none in the provided example).
Also consider that the provided non-working example is in fact a reduction of my actual problem (in a 1000-VI large application) to the smallest relevant elements. In fact I use a typedef of a mix of a lot of different XControls and normal controls, some of them being typedef, strictly typedef or normal controls and other XControls of XControls (of XControls...) in a object oriented like approach...

I use a typedef to propagate its modifications automatically everywhere it is used in the application (a lot of places). As you imply a XControl would do the same, though one would like to construct a simple typedef when no additional functionality is wanted.
The remark "XControl=typedef+block diagram" is actually very neat (never thought of it that way) because it provides a workaround by transforming every typedef into a XControl. Thanks very much, I will explore this solution.
One issue remains: All normal controls update their displayed value when inserted into a typedef but not XControls. Data change event is not triggered. I known that XControls have some limitations (no array of XControls) but I would say, like TWGomez, that this is a “bug” considering the expected functionality.

Auto update of PO price after del. date change

We use price date category=2 , "Delivery date" for our materials. In ME22N, the delivery date is changed. Message 06 484 appears at the bottom of the screen,
"Delivery date changed (new price determination process may be necessary)".
We want to have the new price determination automatically carried out when the delivery date changes in the PO. If you change other fields like purchasing org. or plant, the price is automatically redetermined.

It depends on the costing method of the org and the distribution details of the PO.
Typically, for avg. costing, it is not possible because that will alter the way the transaction was costed.
But for a std. costing org, it may be possible.
You will have to setup the test cases for your org and see.

Problem writing meta data changes in xmp in spite of enabled settings

Dear Adobe Community
After struggling with this for two full days and one night, you are my last hope before I give up and migrate to Aperture instead.
I am having problems with Lightroom 5 writing meta data changes into xmp and including development settings in JPEG, inspite of having ticked all three boxed in catalog settings.
In spite of having checked all boxes, Lightroom refused to actually perform the actions. I allowed the save action to take a lot longer than the saving indicator showed was needed, but regardless of this no edits made in the photo would be visible outside Lightroom. I also tried unticking and ticking and restarting my compute.
Therefore, I uninstalled the program and the reinstalled it again (the trial version both times). I added about 5000 images to Lightroom (i.e. referenced). After having made a couple of changes for one photo in development settings, I tried closing the program. However, then this message was then displayed:
I left the program open and running for about 5-5 hours, then tried closing the program, but the message still came up so I closed the program and restarted the computer. I tried making changes to another photo, saving and then closing and the same message comes up. The program also becomes unresponsive, and of course still no meta data has been saved to the photo, i.e. when opening it outside Lightroom, the edits of the photos is not shown.
What do do? I would greatly appreciate any insights, since I have now completely hit the wall.

What version of Lightroom? Include the minor version number (e.g., Lighroom 4 with the 4.1 update).

If you start shooting raw, then you're gonna need a raw processor, regardless of what the next step in the process will be. And there are none better for this purpose than Lightroom, in my opinion. As has been said, you can export those back to Lightroom as jpeg then delete the raws, if storage is a major issue, or convert to Lossy DNG. Both of those options assume you're willing to adopt a non-destructive workflow, from there on out anyway (not an absolute requirement, but probably makes the most sense). It's generally a bad idea to edit a jpeg then resave it as a jpeg, because quality gets progressively worse every time you do that. Still, it's what I (and everybody else) did for years before Lightroom, and if you want to adopt such a workflow then yeah: you'll need a destructive editor that you like (or as I said, you can continue to use Lightroom in that fashion, by exporting new jpegs and deleting originals - really? that's how you want to go???). Reminder: NX2 works great on jpegs, and so is still very much a candidate in my mind - my biggest reservation in recommending it is uncertainty of it's future (it's kinda in limbo right now).

Splitting events after batch date change causes event to disappear

Hi all,
The basic (repeatable) scenario is this:
o I scan in a bunch of old pictures I want to keep in iPhoto (lets say 10)
o I import them into iphoto (no problems with import) 1 event with 10 pictures is created.
o I then take a specific set of 4 photos and split them out of the main event into a new event (everything still ok) - 2 events, 4 and 6 events respectively.
o I open the new event and do a batch date change on the 4 pictures, changing the date to the correct date of the picture
o I exit the event expecting it to move up in the list of events (I sort by date). It's gone! iPhoto lists the 1 new event and its 6 photos
o I change my sort (by time, by name, etc) and still not there.
o I find my library in finder, open the package, and the files are still there.
o I go back to iPhoto and click on "Photos". Walla! 10 pictures!
o I undo the data change and they show up again in events - 2 new events, 10 total pictures.
I've already done all the obvious checks (are you sorting by date, look up by even name, search by file name through all events etc.) I've talked with a product specialist and they said the standard "rebuild the library" which did not resolve the issue.
I can repeat this until the cows come home in the existing library. I've created a brand new library and it does not repeat, do there is something in my library not right. But I don't buy the standard "redo your library from scratch" (36K pictures, 50 faces and hundreds of places). Just like with faces, you can discard the db files, there must be something besides "rebuild automatically and if that doesn't work sorry start over". Was iPhoto coded in Redmond?
Has anyone had anything similar to this? I looked through the forums and couldn't see anything. If I have to rebuild this, I am done with iPhoto after having to rebuild due to faces too many times, and my question changes to what are folks recommendations for a more stable photo management software suite?

If the problem doesn't repeat in another Library then obviously the issue is with that library.
As you've tried the basic rebuild: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
The obvious solution is to restore a good version from your back up and, er, Walla! as you say yourself.
Next least destructive option: Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
