Automatical update of PO quantity when changed in SO

We have a following issue
for our regular business we have a third party process for trading
goods. So we are using on customer sales order stock. In our system
following is possible: We create a sales order and after using of
Purchase requisition we create a purchase order. So now when we change
the quantity in SO and save the SO, this change is automatically done
in the PO as well.
So this really works without canceling the PO first,
changing the SO and creating a PO again.
So now we have implemented a new product in a different sales area with the same process and
with same material type HAWA but this automatical update of quantity is
not working.
What needs to be done to enable this function for our new
product as well?

My colleague was here when the system was implemented. He is not aware of any development here that enables this function. I have been looking for user exits and none are active for this. I have been told that this works only for customer sales order stock but I was not given any reason why.
It seems logical, that in some development a new sales area needs to be included as Bijay said. Anyway we still think this function works without additional development.
@Raghavendra we are using the SAP standard scenario. SO - PR - PO. PO is manually created out of PR in both cases.

  • IW41: automatic update of activity type when changing the work center?

    Hello colleagues,
    when doing a time confirmation with IW41, we have following problem:
    In the PM order the operations are assigned to a neutral executing work center, as it not known which individual technician is completing the operation later on.
    Now when the individual technician is entering the time confirmation with IW41, system is proposing the work center indicated in the operation from the PM order, then technician is overwriting the work center proposal with his own individual work center ID (and pressing Enter), but the activity type is not getting updated automatically. So the technician must jump to field "activity type" and choose the correct activity type.
    Is there any solution (hopefully with user exits!) to have the field "activity type" automatically updated with the one indicated in the work center, which was entered manually?

    Hi Maheswaran,
    yes, as usual all PM work centers have only 1 activity type assigned in the costing tab.
    We also checked the settings of the activity type (KL03), but we just found one difference: the price indicator was set on 3 "Determined manually" - we've changed to 1 "Plan price, automatically based on activity" (..same setting as for the act. type of the work center with working update of act.type).
    We tested already all possible constellations and scenarios, but we have not found any good reason for the behaviour.

  • Update weight and volume when changing the quantity

    Hello ALL,
    For some configurable items, those whose weight and volume depends on configuration, when changing the quantity at set level, weights and volumes are not calculated again and order item is saved with wrong data about weights and volume.
    when ever changing the quantity we will get a message - " Changing date/quantity may result in different BOM Please configure"
    if we do explicitly by clicking "Item Details Configuration' then Weight and Volume will get update automatically.
    my requirement is Weight and volume should get update automatically when changing the quantity with clicking on "Item Details Configuration'.
    could you provide any OSS notes available for this or any help to achieve this functionality.

  • Error prompts when Automatic Update Cycle --Unable to open changes.txt

    Hi all,
    i have a problem when start Automatic Update Cycle in Indexer tab in Repository Manager. It prompts me that
    Indexing abort at .....Unable to open /app/ucm/server/search/update/changes.txt
    Then i checked the changes.txt file but find it is blank.
    The version of my Content Server is 10GR3.
    Anyone knows why?

    Are you using verity?
    Try this:
    Stop services (admin and regular)
    Delete the <install>\<instance>\search\update\changes.txt file
    Restart both services
    This may allow Verity to start the indexing process over.
    Test.

  • Automatic update of web.xml when running UIX application

    I moved my UIX project from 9.02 to 9.03. The UIX resource files have changed between the versions so I deleted the old cabo folder so that when I ran my applicaton for the first time it would rebuild it. When I ran my application my web.xml file was automatically updated with the following servlet initialisation parameters:

    <param-name>oracle.cabo.servlet.pageBroker</param-name>
    <param-value>oracle.cabo.servlet.xml.UIXPageBroker</param-value>
    </init-param>
    <init-param>
    <param-name>oracle.cabo.ui.UIExtensions</param-name>

    The problem is that I've got my own pageBroker already defined in web.xml so when I run my application it used UIXPageBroker instead. This took me a while to find - my app just suddenly stopped working. I don't know what actually updated web.xml but I think it needs to check for the presence of these parameters before inserting them.

  • How can I automatically update links to bookmarks that change?

    The documentation I am working on currently outputs to WebHelp, Word, and PDF.
    The files include numerous equations and figures. I created styles to automatically number these and bookmarked them for linking. It just occurred to me, however, that these figures are likely to change over time. Is there a way to automatically update the links as figures are added or removed?
    FWIW, I am using RoboHelp HTML 9.0.2.271 on Windows 7.

    There is no automatic way of updating bookmarks that I am aware of. Can you not create bookmarks that avoid the numbering as they will not be seen by users.

  • Automatic refresh of photo order when changing photo titles in iPhoto 9.6

    I've just moved from an older version of iPhoto to 9.6.
    In the previous version, when you changed the title of a photo (within an event), the sort order of the photos was automatically and immediately updated.  In 9.6 it isn't - I have to do View - Sort Photos then select another sort criteria (e.g. date), then do this again for title, to get the photo order to refresh.
    Does anyone know if I am I stuck with this new (retrograde) behaviour, or if there's a way to get iPhoto 9.6 to automatically refresh the photo order?
    Otherwise, is there a keyboard shortcut for refreshing the photo order, or for changing the view - sort photos criteria?

    It will resort if you leave the Event (click All Events button) and then go back.  Not a good solution but quicker IMO than using the View ➙ Sort menu method.

    the info record is a kind of general, means it has the general price. A contract is an agreement for a certain quantity and price and period that may have a price that you can only get from your vendor  with this kind of agreement. So it is not really logical to have the contract price in the info record, too.
    There is no way to get this update automatically.

  • Delta Records is not getting updated in delta queus when changes done

    In Quality system , when a user makes a change to an order's ship-to address, the changes are "triggering" a delta record into the delta tables for BI to extract. This can be seen via tcode rsa3's delta tester.
    In Productionn System, when the user makes the exact same change, nothing is added to the delta table and the changes never come over to BI unless a full extract is request for the order.
    Why changes not getting updated, please give your inputs.

    Do you have your V3 update job active and running? THis job wites changes to the delta queue. Of course your datasource has to been initialized and a delta queue should be setup. You can check it in RSA7.

    Open a Finder window and you should have a folder called iClouDrive in your home folder. Drag your documents or folders you want to share into this folder and it will be available on your other computer (look in the same folder).
    As already mentioned Dropbox is a good solution; however, I like to use my free 5 GB from Apple's iCloud because I am not using very much space there. I reserve my Dropbox for other uses such as family photo and recipe sharing.

  • User ID will not update in DropDown menu when changed on website

    I have a User ID for my CitiCard account that I cannot change in FireFox. In addition to changing the User ID I have also followed a process in CitiCard to 'Clear a User ID' however, when I follow it the old User ID still remains populated.
    I can 'work around' this glitch by simply choosing 'Use a different ID' from the drop down menu. It's not an obstacle to accessing the account - just a 'minor inconvenience' - added step, if you will!
    When using FireFox the User ID box in the CitiCard account remains populated with my previous User ID and when I try to use my new - or old password with it - it is rejected. So as I previously indicated I simply have to select 'Use a different ID' and enter the 'new' User ID, enter my 'new' password and I'm in.
    Additionally when I go into Explorer all of the changes have occurred correctly.

    Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop down list:
    #Click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop down list
    #Highlight an entry in the drop down list
    #Press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to remove it.

    I created one output type ZNSO for sales order and created access sequence and condition record for Order Type in VV11. Now, I am able get that output type ZNSO in messages automatically while creating SO (VA01) and posting an IDoc.
    But, my requirement is, If I change the sales order (VA02) that should post an IDoc automatically (User doesn't want to enter output type manually).

    I believe you are referring to events with calender on page where you can update the calender showing the dates, In case you are using third party event system then Muse will not control this but if you have created that in Muse itself then you will have to manually update it from Muse.
    If site is hosted on BC then you can use events module to render the dates and details , from site end you can plan out the events and the one expired will be removed from calender.

    Hi Tom, On the large or small product layouts this price does not update. It is the total of 1 item. If you view the cart you will see the updated value based on multiple items.
    This is always been part of BC and not something that is broken.
    If you want the price to dynamcially change when you select 2,3,4 items on say the large product layout you will need to create some javascript.
    If you are refering to the cart - make a backup of the changes you have done and restore the cart to default. You will see the correct tags and working functionality. if that works compared to what you have carefull review your changes to find what you change to break the functionality.
