Availability Check : Confirmed Date in Sales Order.

Hello Gurus,
I have an issue with the availability check.
Scenario :
Customer has created an order for quantity 800 on 26th of Feb and accordingly when created the order go confirmed for 17th of March.
The specific quanity(batch) of 800 was released from Quality to unrestricted on 27th of Feb.
And Now that the stock is in unrestrictd the customer wants to deliver this material before 29th of Feb as against the 17th of March confirmed date.
When we try to re run the availability check, since there are other open orders and deliveries against the material system proposes a new confirmed date alltogether which is still further ahead of 17th.
Can some body advice me as to how do i ensure that the particular quantity can be sold before 29th.
I have also tried running Backorder processing and Rescheduling which failed, It might also be because i might have not run them properly as i am new to the concept of backorder processing and rescheduling.
Please guide me to correct this step wise.
Thanks.

please try as below:
Back order processing is a functionality in SAP where you can change the committments and over-ride the blockage of stocks marked against sales documents/deliveries. For e.g. you receive an order from a very important customer for material "A" but the entire quantity of A is committed to another customer "B" via earlier sales orders and this is where BACK ORDER processing helps you to change the committment and shift stock due for B to A. This is the benefit of this funtionality.
OMIH - Checking rule for updating backorders
OPJL - Define new checking rule
OPJJ - Define scope of check
V_RA - Backorder Processing
Data selection:-
Sold-to-party Customer code Mandatory
Sales Organization Mandatory

Changed confirmed quantity :-
Tick the material you want to changed and click the Back order button Confirmed quantity that still can be changed are highlighted.

  • Sceduling as per the delivery confirmation date in sales order

    Hi,
I am working with planning strategy 50 and using availabilty check as per ATP.
When I create the sales order and check the availabilty, system confirms the delivery after TRLT(current date+TRLT).But when I run MRP,system creates a planned order on the req delivery date date.
(Req date - GR Processing Time - In-House Production time) so that Planned Order is available on the req delivery date.
As the system confirms the delivery after TRLT,I want my planned order's availabilty on the same date.
to summarise,I don't want system to consider the Reqmt date as reqd delivery date of the sales order but the conformed delivery date of the sales order.
I appreciate your help in letting me know if there is any way we can do this.

    Hi,
Can you check what is the Variant (dates filed) specified by going to SM37 transaction.do as below,
Goto SM37 transaction and give job name and then execute then select check box against date you scheduled job and then CtrlShiftF9,now place cursor on program/command and from the menu Goto-->Variant,here you check if any date range there.

  • Confirmed date in sales order influenced by planned order dates

    Hi,
My requirement is that the after the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated, the changes in the dates of the planned order, when carried out, shall accordingly influence the confirmed date of the sales order line item when the availability check is carried out in the sales order.
Say, the sales order has confirmed a line item for 25.05.2009. Once the MRP is carried out and planned order is generated and owing to unavailablility of a component, the planned order date (finish date) is manually re-scheduled to say 28.05.2009. My requirement is that the sales order confirmed date shall accordingly be re-scheduled when the availability check is carried out.
    Additional Info : Strategy Group - 20,
                           Make-to Order scenario is employed,
                           Standard Item category TAN,
                           Requirement Class - 040.
Is this possible in standard SAP? If not, please suggest any custom developments that may be required. Looking forward for helpful replies.
Do revert back if more info required.
    Regards,
    Anil Kumar

    Hi Anil,
As Suggested in Above reply to your question.
If Materail component was not available and due to that you had to reshedule the planned order date manually, that definately will affect the material availability date, but i think if material availability will be run once again in Sales Order it will determine the new material availability date, and i dont think there is any need to carry out any enhancement.
Guru's Please correct me if I am wrong.

  • Availability check of material against sales order

    Dear All,
Please let me know how to check the material availability against a sales order during despatch stage. 1. plant
    2. sales order no.
    3. line item no.
    4. material group

    Dear ,
When system perform ATP  for any Sales Order , it checks the Total Replishment Lead Time-MRP3 .The total replenishment lead time is the time needed before the product is completely available again, that is, after all BOM levels have been procured or produced. It is not calculated by the system, but defined in this field as the total of the in-house production time(s) and/or the planned delivery time(s) of the longest production path.
This time is necessary if, for materials produced in-house, the replenishment lead time is to be taken into consideration in the availability check.
In an availability check where the system takes the replenishment lead time into consideration, it only checks whether there are sufficient incoming quantities and stocks available to cover the requirements within the replenishment lead time. Outside the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that the material is available in sufficient quantity.
Therefore, in this situation, it is usually necessary to depict the product's total replenishment lead time with all BOM levels as the replenishment lead time.
Now , unless the Requirement Pass through MRP , you can not have BOM explosion  at the lowest level and system will give you the result based on the MRP Net Requirement Calculation till the lowest level of BOM as dependent as well as FERT.
At the Sales Order Stage it only checks the Availablility of FG with in RLT which can be proposed or committed but not confimred because BOM Lead Time for compoenets are differnet and it does not perform any requirement planning .
But , you can check after MRP run , you can check the Material Availabity in MD4C , CO46 , MD04 etc where it will also give you a clear report on the Requirement Date , Committed Date , Qty to be procurede , Qty to in Stock all of them .
Before MRP  if you want to check  the Order BOM , then you may have to go for Z-report based MARD , VBAK , MARC , STPO  etc .

  • Availability Check Screen while creating sales order

    Hi
If I see the stock level in MMBE , I find enough stock for some materials .But when I create  the sales order for those  materials , system is taking to availability check screen .
I am going and saving the sales order and trying to create delivery for that sales order but system is giving error that u201Cno schedule lines due for  upto selected dateu201D .
What could be the problem and Hoh I can fix it please .
    Jaya

    Hi Jaya
    1. Enough stocks in MMBE means what?
Have you got enough stocks in unrestricted use
    This needs to be checked
    2. IN OVZ9 t code for your checking group of the material in MMR and checking rule A (sales order) there is a check box of include sales requirements
If that is ticked upon saving a sales order stocks are reserved for that order
Like that there might be some open orders existing for the item
You can see the list of such open orders in VA05N
Hence the system is taking you to availability check screen while creating order because there are not much stocks for this fresh order
You have saved that inspite of that
Hence there are no schedule lines in your order
Hence there is problem in delivery
Create the delivery on the scheduled dates given by the system in the schedule lines

  • Availability checking user exit at sales order level

    Hi ,
Is ther any availability Check user Exit at the sales order level?
1)I want to make Confirm quantity to zero in the sales order level
2)The block confirmation is set to VBEP-BMENG to "0" for each item where VBEP-LIFSP =Z1
Is ther any related USEREXIT in the sales order  to make confirm quantity to ZERO
    (VBEP-BMENG=0)
    Ragu

may be you can try putting some logic is MV45AFZZ in USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBEP
or in the exitSDTRM001 - Reschedule schedule lines without a new ATP check.

  • Availability check on storages in sales order and delivery documents

    Hi all,
I'm verifying if it's possible to find a standard or a custom solution for this type of problem:
I have a scenario in which there are more storages relevant for MRP (ex. 01, 02, 03, 04), and, in if I check availability in sales order or delivery (using checking rules "A" or "B") with setting which considering storages location inspection in availability check control, system check if there's stock available on all these storages.
I'm trying to verify if it's possible to consider only some on these storages (ex. 01 and 03 only) in sales order and delivery documents availablity check.
I know that in sales order storage location field is normally filled only using exit, but i don't know if it's possible to do, using a user exit, check availability considering only some storages and not all. At delivery level i have tried to use stock strategy, but this functionality don't have consequences on availability check, also if it's relevant during good issue phase.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.
    Regards
    Gianpaolo

    Hi Gianpaolo,
We had some issues with availability check on a Customer Site.
I don't remember right now if we had to exclude storage locations from MRP to take them out from ATP, but I guess Shiva is 100% correct.
At the end, what was done was to always "force" a unique storage location in the sales order item, which will be the storage location used for shipping of the delivery of course.
If you use WM in your plant, then you will have no problem in having a unique storage location, so no problem.
Anyway you are correct in your analysis, if the Storage location is not informed in the sales order item, then all the plant stock is taken in account for ATP.

  • Material Availability Date of Sales Order

    An issue 1  :
There is material which is GATP relevant and stock is available in APO and R3.When GATP check is performed MAD Date is shown as Current Day +1,where as it should be Current Day only. And this issue happens on Friday only i.e GATP returns Current day as MAD day on other than friday.
    An  issue 2 :
There are Sales Order already created for a material sat mat1 with availability check code  "ZF" in MRP3 tab of material master. The MAD has already been calculated with existing settings through GATP functionality.
What is required that change the availability check code in MRP3 tab of material master to "ZB" and re-check the availability of the already created sales orders in R3.
But what we understand since Sales Order already created for Availability check code "ZF",new changed "ZB" will not impact the ATP check.
    An issue 3 ;
What are the settings influence the calulations of MAD in APO and R3.
Is there any way this can be achieved.
    Manish

    Manish,
First, you will always get better responses in this forum if you enter one issue per post.  Many people are unwilling to respond to a multi-question posting.
Issue 1.  There are dozens of factors that can contribute to a Material Availability date in APO. Are you using RBA?  Allocation? ATP against a forecast? CTP?  Transportation Scheduling? etc etc etc......
The most likely reason is that you have an issue with with valid workdays in one of the calendars that affect your GATP check.
Issue 2 - This is mostly an R/3 issue.  The practice you call out (change the MM ATP checking group and re-atp the order) is only supported by SAP in a limited way.  The easiest way I have found to do this is to open the sales order, remove the plant from the item, and then save the order.  Make your changes to the MM.  Wait until the MM changes get to SCM.  Now, re-open the sales order, and re-enter the plant.  If you are lucky, the sales order will re-read the updated MM data, and re-atp the order in SCM using the updated SCM data.  Now, re-save the sales order.
By the way, don't think that you can now blithely change the ATP checking group in R/3 back to the old value.  You will face additional problems in delivering and shipping the order later. The process I described should only be used to correct an existing MM error.
Also, be aware that any ATP checking group beginning with a 'Z' has been customized for your company.  You should contact the local SD expert to see what changes your company had made for these ZD and ZB groups.
Issue 3 - GATP is a large module in SCM.  There are many types of checks.  Each one has it's own items that can affect MAD (generation of MAD is the prime output of GATP).  I couldn't possibly cover them all in a single posting.  The standard SAP overview class for GATP is 3 days, and this class doesn't go into much detail.  I strongly recommend that you consult with your local GATP functional expert, or consider hiring an expert GATP consultant if you wish to proceed with your development of APO GATP.
    Good luck!

    DB49.

  • Confirmed quantity in sales order and credit check

Due to the fact that we are using automatic credit check , for the sales orders that are not blocked due to credit control the confirmed quantity is made to 0 until some person responsible unblocks the sales order.
My issue is how to prevent the confirmed quantity from becaming 0 even if credit block exists

    Dear Friend
If the automatic credit management is active the confirmed quantities of sales order becomes 0 because in t code OVB8 the requirement no used will be 101 and system routine will be 1 that is system reservation
Here you need to change the 101 to something else or you have to write a new routine thro ABAPer so that even if the document goes for credit block the confirmed quantities doesnot change or become 0
I dont have the practical experience of changing this to something else and having worked on that
    But you may try that
The area to explore or get your requirement is this only

  • Config to select Checking Rule "A" during Sales order availability check

    Hi All,
Please can you tell me the config that tells system to select the checking rule "A" during sales order availability check. The problem at my client side is that the system was using the checking rule "A" initially but suddenly it has started using checking rule "B" (delivery) for sales order. The item category being used in YAN and Scheduline Line category is YC (ATP and Allocation allowed).
The checking group is getting picked up correctly from the Material Master value.
I have tried to find all the possible config that might be causing this issue, but I am unable to find one. Based on my understanding of the SAP SD process, there is no place where we can define in system to use the "checking rule" for SD availability check. This is the default (hard-coded) in the system.
Please can you help me to find how the checking rule "B" might be getting called instead of "A".
    Regards,
    Swapnil

    Hi
Checking rule is transaction based like A for SD sales order and B for SD delivery like that it is defined
So in a sales order the system checks with the combination of AChecking rule and the Checking group defined in MMR and for that combination we give controls in OVZ9 and based on that system makes availability check
Every one  and all SAP materials including myself say Checking Rule is transaction based and picked up by the system thro hard coded controls
But In t code OPJL it is possible to define new checking rules that means customization is possible
But where is the link or assignment
For this nobody has given correct answers including the PP friends
For you the system is shifting the Checking Rule from A to B in the sales order itself means we can find out get where the said assignment is done
In OVZ9 remove the combination Checking rule B and your Checking group and save
You said the system has shifted its  Checking rule to B from A
Now test it after removing this control in OVZ9 and see the system is shifting once again to A or throwing error as the control is removed in OVZ9
make sure that you do this in a sales order and post back

  • How to Restrict Confirmed Quantity in Sales Order (Based on Batch Expiry)

    Dear SD Experts,
Currently our sales order confirms any amount of quantity if stock is available. And only during delivery it checks for the expiration of the batch and reduces the delivery quantity to batches available in stock within expiry.
But since we are doing a bulk creation of deliveries at the end of the day, the check for expired batches is happening too late and no visibility for the data entry operators of stock that cannot be delivered during creation of the sales orders.
So I am looking for solution to restrict the confirmed quantity in sales order to actually confirm only stock what can be delivered. i.e. based on expiry of the batch.
    Thanks!

    hi
in Logistic general - batch mangement - batch determination allocation and check activation - maintain allocate SD search Procedure/ activate check
check this for your sales area and sales document type and then in the search procedure maitain the strategy to check the Expiration date.

  • Two Delivery dates in Sale Order against one item

    Dear All
I need two delivery dates in sale order. one is default at the time of creation sale order. second i need actual delivery date which will be confirmed by production planning department after analysis the order whether material can be ready on that delivery date or it need to change. Actual delivery date may vary from original delivery date and both need to preserve in system. kindly provide solution. best regards.
    Manjit

You need to select the Availability & Transfer of Req. check box in Schedule Line Configuration. It will transfer the req. to PP.So while creating the sale order , schedule Lines will be confirmed as per the Available Stock.
System will give you the Default Delivery Date as the Date added after Lead Time in days in the Configuration.Else system will give the Current Date.
    Best regards,

  • Determination of First Date in Sales Order

    Hello SAP Friends,
Below is the issue we realised during the testing. The issue is with First date in the Sales Order which is not updated as per Unloading Point Calendar .
As per details I received, it should refer Unloading Point Calendar for ShiptoParty and populate the next working day as First date into Sales Order.
How is First Date determined in the sales order?  Is there any config settings which is based on Route to do this? Or Is it controlled purely based on settings done in Tcode: VOV8, Leadtime days? I do not think VOV8 settings is controlling that in our APO system.
I have checked MAD, Pick/Pack, GI date all are populated correctly, But First Date did not follow the logic Unloading Point Calendar of ShiptoParty.
Please let know your inputs in this regard.
    Thank you
    Satish Waghmare

    Satish,
I unfortunately don't have a solution for you.  However, here are a few observations, and a question.
My experience is that 'First Date' in R/3 is not determined.  In every sales order I have ever seen, First Date is proposed (matches the requested delivery date in the Sales order header) by the system, but can be overridden by any changes that the user may elect to make.
Generally, then, after First Date is entered, the R/3 system then may be configured to determine certain master data:  Shipping Point, Unloading Point, Route, Route Schedule.  From this master data, if you are performing ATP in R/3, the system will then also calculate various dates (if configured) for the confirmed schedule proposal:  Normally these calculated dates are Delivery Date, Goods Issue Date, Loading Date, Material Availability date, Transportation Planning Date.  If you have configured Route Schedules in R/3, other dates may be determined.
If you are performing ATP in APO, then any such scheduling must be performed in APO.  Relevant Master data that was determined in R/3 is carried across to APO during the ATP check and is then used to calculate appropriate durations.  This does not happen automatically, you have to configure the scheduling technique you wish to use in APO.
So, my first question:  Are you performing ATP in APO?  If not, then you should probably close this post, and re-enter in one of the SD forums, since it is an SD issue.  If you are performing ATP in APO, then what scheduling technique are you using?
    Best regards,

  • Reg:PIR /Deliver date of sales order

    Dear Friends,
i have an issuie ragardding PIR (MD61).
I have created a demand from N0vember to March
    Weekly 20no.s  machines ,.
    For Ex:
November :60. Decenber:80, Jan:100..like that way till Maurch.
in the month of march i have planned 100.(totalplanned quantity is 390)
And sales orders have consumed the PIR.. in the month of march i have palnned only for first 15 days 100no.snext 15 days are remaining. suppose if the sales people create the new sales order it should give the delivery time in the month of march. But here the delivery dates  is showing in month of Decmber only.
may i know whats the reason..i hane not ,maintained Consumption mode in MRP-3. please let me know the solution.
    Thanks in advance..

    Dayanan,
I must appologize for my earlier inaccurate answer.  I was unfortunately relying on SAP online help which implies that only Strategies 50, 60, 52, 63, 74 use availability check against planning (planned independent requirements).
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/cf/70124adf2d11d1b55e0000e82de178/frameset.htm
This help statement is misleading.  Upon further research into your problem, I have discovered that 56 also, by default, performs availablity check against planning. What you are describing is therefore standard behavior.
Availability check against planning ignores supply elements, including FGs stock or FGs production orders.  Configuration contained in OVZ9 that I mentioned in my earlier answer is mostly irrelevant.  The system instead performs Availability check against the un-consumed Planned independent requirements.  The assumption is that you faithfully build/procure the components of your forecast, and therefore you can confirm any new sales order, as long as unconsumed PIRs exist.  The final assembly process is implicitly assumed to have unlimited capacity to perform your FGs assembly, as long as unconsumed PIRs exist.
Calculation of un-consumed forecast (from which your SD confirmation dates will be derived) is affected in turn by the consumption mode in the Material Master, as you have noted in your research, and by the backward and forward consumption periods in your Material Master.
Now, your problem originally was that you were getting confirmations (delivery dates) in December, when in fact you wanted them to confirmed for your next 'open' forecasting period, which for this material is in March.
The unexpected confirmation in December means that the customer requested a December or earlier delivery date, and there are unconsumed PIRs still left in December (eg, not enough customers have already entered orders for December to have entirely consumed the existing December forecast).
I will assume by your distress that you are unable to produce FGs product in time to meet the December confirmation deadline.  The way most companies solve this issue is to periodically (weekly at a minimum, some do this daily) is to run a job that deletes all PIRs within a specific time frame (eg, any PIRs earlier than, say, '2 weeks from now').  The window within which these PIRs are deleted is typically related to FGs processing time and FGs capacity load.  You will have to decide what is the best window for you.
You can Mass delete PIRs using MD75.  You can commit this to a job by creating a variant, and then using report RM60RR30 in batch.  If you are already executing this report regularly, you probably want to review the Key Date, and move it forward in time a bit.

  • No Confirmed Quantity at Sales Order

    Hi,
I have requirement where i dont want the system to confirm the quantities at sales order level though the quantities are available at stock.
Please be informed i have tried deactivate the Availablilty Check at Schedule Line Category and also tried NO CHECK option at the Checking Group.(KP)
If I have assigned KP Availabilty Check in the material master, system doesnot check the availability but the quantities got confirmed in the sales order schedule lines. As per my requirement, system should not give the confirmed quantites and schedule line date even though the quantities are available at stock.
Can anyone help me to fix this?
    Regards,
    SS

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
Reply to Lakshmipathi, My client doesn't want the system to confirm the quantities until the management takes the decision. On the same time, the sales order needs to be recorded and they want to perform the manual availability check whenever they decide to confirm the quantities.
I tried assigning the delivery block in sales order and also I tried with null value in requirement type. Both ways did not solve my purpose. Still the system confirms the quantities.
Is there any other way to meet this requirement?
    Thanks again for your efforts.
