Availability check in R/3 for CRM 5.0????

Hi
We are migrating from CRM 3.0 to CRM 5.0 but we are having problems with the availability check. When we execute it in CRM, it doesn't bring the result.
Does anyone know where we can find the solution?
Thank you
Cecilia

Are you able to do an availability check from CRm Online order .ie from crmd_order transaction?
Make sure in the control information section of middleware parametsrs you have the format X=R/34.6C. Also make sure that you have the ATP profile attached to the item category.
If system doesnt give any error that means, there is no RFC called between the two systems. Check SM59 connections also.

  • Availability check in sales order for DIEN materials.

    Hello,
Is it possible to make availability check in sales orders for a service material e.g.: type DIEN? How can i customize it?

The DIEN material type is not stock managed, so it does not make sense to check the availability. If you need to do something similar you could use material type UNBW, this material is quantity managed but not valuated, so maybe this can help you !

  • Need to disable availability check while changing 'Reason For Order' Field in Retail Tab

While change of STO (Me22n) I want the availability check to be disabled when a change to 'Reason for Oder' is made in the Retail Tab in the item detail.
Let me know if there is any BADI/ User exit or enhancement available where i can do this customization.

    Hi Reddy,
Try Transaction Variant, you can customize the screen using this tool.
Basically, you customize the screen (hide, make it required, visible etc) then
save it as screen variant and define a new transaction code to it.
So for your user, just give them this new transaction code (instead of SAP standard).
Detail about transaction variant can be checked on :

  • Material availability check be switched off for during dispatching of order

    Hi All,
Material availability u2013 can the material availability check be switched off during  dispatching of production order but kept when order is created?
Is there any implications on availibilty check.
    How can we do this?
    Regards,
    Vidyasagar

    Dear
If you want to do Material Availablity Check only at the time of order creation , please choose Availability Check Business Function 1  with your order type  /plant combination .Keep No Check  in Capacity  and do not assing  the Overall Capacity Profile Here .
Where as keep the Capacity Overall Profile for Production Order Type with Availablity Check  -2  and Mark No Check to material availablity  option in the same .
In OPKP -make sure that you have Capacity Profile assinged and do not mark Confirm Partial Available Qty .
How ever , in capacity requirement , material availablity is the intregrated part  and while dispathcing production order with in the available capacity of any operation in work centre , system tries to make sure the materials are available for processing just before actual operation starts .
Check in CM21-Setting-Strategy -Dispatch Control -Check if you have option to un-check the Material Availability .

  • Availability Check at Multiple Plants for the Sales Order line Item.

    Hi Friends,
We are having two plants, Plant A and Plant B. Plant A is used to issue the orders to the vendors and stock them, while Plant B is used to manufacture the Product and Stock.
When we create the sales order, we want to check the Current Stock Plus Incomming Purchase order stock for plant A and also check current stock plus Production orders in plant B.
for ex if the current stock is 100 in Plant A and No physical stock in Plant B but there are some production orders for 400 Qty which will be ready in 1 week.
If i create a sales order for 500 qty which is scheduled for delivery 10 days later.  then we want to commit to the customer ( Looking at both the plants stock situation )  the system should check the stock availability for both the plants and automatically create two different line items , Line item 1 for plant A and line item 2 for plant b.
I know there is a user exit for Multiple plant selection USEREXIT_PLANT_SELECTION  in program RV03VFZZ. The Description of the USer exit says ( This user exit may be used to provide a list of plants for which availability is to be checked)  But we have never used this one. Will this user exit do exactly what i want ??
Did any of you, have used the above User exit in your implementations ? If so please let me know whats the purpose of this user exit
    Your reply is much appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards
    Srinivas

    Hi
I dont know about the userexit which you are referring about
But this is not available in R3 The system makes a Availability Check only in the plant which has got determined in the item details shipping tab and stops there
The same is available in APO
If there are 2 plants say 1000 and 2000
In sales order the plant determined is 1000 and there is no stock
    In R3 system stops there
But in APO  system checks the plant 2000 and if stocks are available it creates an STO in the background automatically from 2000 to 1000 if configured accordingly
Even if the material is maintained in 10 plants the system will make a  Availability Check at all 10 plants and act accordingly

  • Stock confiramtion at sales order level for future date- Availability Check

    Hi all
    Here is the scenario
This setting is available in the system:
    Stock is available
Sales order created with Requested delivery date in future-> not confirmed
Sales order created with Requested del date today -> confirmed
    The requirement :
how and where to change this setting in IMG so that also orders with Requested Delivery Date in future are confirmed if stock is available.
As this is urgent request to respond quickly.
    Regards
    Devender

    Hello Devender,
You can achieve the mentioned scenario by configuring ATP. You can do ATP with RLT or ATP without RLT.
In ATP with RLT, system will check and confirm the quantities from existing stock only and if quantities are insufficient then the system will consider inline POs or manufacturing time to confirm remaining quantitites.
Else you will be getting schedule lines for only items in stock and remaining will be unconfirmed as ATP without RLT will be activated i.e., system will check and confirm the quantities from existing stock only.
Types of Availability Check in Sales and Distribution
    Processing
There are three types of availability check:
_ Check on the basis of the ATP quantities
    _ Check against product allocation
    _ Check against planning
The following SD-specific control features need to be maintained in Customizing:
    _ Checking group
The checking group controls whether the system is to create individual or collective
requirements in sales and shipping processing. In addition, a material block for the
availability check with transfer of requirements can be set here. The checking group can
also be used to deactivate the availability check. This option was created especially for
the assembly order so that when the bill of material is exploded in the assembly order,
the individual components, if necessary, can be classified as non-critical parts as far as
    procurement is concerned.
The checking group specifies in combination with the checking rule the scope of the
availability check. It is proposed in the material master record on the basis of the material
type and the plant, and copied into the sales and distribution documents.
    _ Checking Rule
You use the checking rule to control the scope of the availability check for each
transaction in sales and distribution. You also specify whether the check should be
carried out including or excluding replenishment lead time. The individual checking rules
define by transaction, which stock and inward and outward movement of goods should
be taken into account for the availability check.
    _ Schedule line category
You can control with the schedule line category whether an availability check and
transfer of requirements should be carried out in the sales documents. The possible
settings for this at schedule line level are dependent on the settings in the requirements
class which is determined from the requirements type of the material.
    _ Delivery item category
The delivery item category can be used to control whether an availability check takes
    place in deliveries.
    Requirements type
The various requirements are identified by their requirements type. The requirements
type refers to the requirements class and its control features.
    _ Requirements Class
The requirements class contains all control features for planning such as relevance for
planning, requirements planning strategy and requirements consumption strategy. In
addition, it is specified at a global level whether an availability check is to take place for
the material in the sales and distribution documents on the basis of the ATP quantity
(ATP = available to promise) and whether requirements are to be passed on. A finer
degree of control can be obtained for sales documents using the schedule line category.
Replenishment lead time is only included in the check performed on the basis of the
    ATP quantity.
    Prerequisites
An availability check can only be carried out if the following prerequisites have been fulfilled:
_ The control elements described above for the availability check must be maintained in
Customizing for Sales and the relevant assignments made to the sales transactions
_ The availability check must be switched on at requirements class level and - for the
availability check in the sales documents - at schedule line category level
A requirements type must exist by which the requirements class can be found
_ A plant must be defined. It can either be proposed from the customer or material master
record or can be entered manually in the document.
_ A checking group must be defined in the material master record on the Sales/plant data
screen in the Availability check field
Configuring entries of the Availability Check
IMGSDBasic fncsAvailability check and TORAvailability checkAvailability check with ATP logic or against planningDefine checking groups
You can use SAP std checking groups of 01 for summarized reqts or 02 for daily reqts or u can create ur own.
The columns total sales and total deliveries are selection options whereby u can configure a checking rule to sum up reqts to post to MRP either individually or by day or week.
Column 5, Block qty; set this block if u want several users to be able to process the material simultaneously in different transactions without blocking each other. The No Check indicator is used when u want a material to not be relevant for an ATP check.
Defining a material block for other users. The Block checkbox is an indicator that enables u to block the particular material from being checked for availability if it is already being checked at the same time by another user.
Defining the default value for checking groups. However should no entry exist for the checking group in the material master record, one can set a default value per material type and plant.
Controlling the availability check. In this section, u tell the system what stock on hand and what inward and outward movements of stock it must take into account when performing the availability check. These settings are based on the checking group that is assigned to the material master record and the checking rule that is predefined and assigned to the sd transaction. The carry out control for the availability check must be maintained for both the sales order and delivery.
    Reward points if helpful.

  • Availability check for sales order stock

    Hi,
We use sales order stock in sales order which creates purchase requisition automatically.Movement types for GR 101E, for GI 601E. Material master data has on MRP2 view as GR processing time 2 days for example. I create sales order with requested delivery date today. After saving SO, PR is created and I create PO with delivery date today and post goods receipt document for today. System gives as confirmation date today + 2 days. although the material is in stock.
We use also project stock in sales order which creates purchase requisition automatically.Movement types for GR 101Q, for GI 601Q.I run the same scenario for the same material. As soon as I create the purchase order system confirms the open quantity in sales order for today. (Scope of availability check is the same for both sales orders and includes PO)
    What can be the reason?
    Thanks

    Hi Murat,
i guess the problem is with the 'Check without RLT' indicator' in Availability check control. For the MTO (checking rule AE) i guess this indicator is not set but for the Project systems (Checking rule PS) this indicator is set. This makes the difference. Do the changes as desired in transaction OVZ9.
Please check and revert back if you are still facing the same problem.

  • User exit for availability check.

    Hi Friends
We are maintaining a Z table for combination of values of plant and order type.
It is required that while creating a order through IW31 for a plant and order type combination, the system should check the Z table for these values. If present, then standard availability check should be disabled for this order.
Is there any user exit to accomplish the same.
    TIA.

  • Availibility check for sales orders created simultaneously

    Hi SD experts,
When a sales order is being created with an item "A", while a second sales order is being created too, at the same time, with the same item "A", the system can't carry out the availibilty check.
It displays the following message : "The material A (plant M500) in item 000010 which you entered for processing is blocked for another transaction. The system is therefore unable to carry out either the availability check or the transfer of requirements."
This is quite logic... But for example for a call center where the operators create orders simultaneously how can we make it possible??
    Any suggestions please ?
    Thank you,
    Bahia.

    Hi there,
In SPRO -> SD --> Basic functions --> Availability check & TOR --> Avaliability check --> Avaliability with ATP --> Define material block for other users.
Here you make the settings for different availability check types 02 for individual requirements etc. If you check the field Block, system will block the material for other remaining sales orders if availability check is being carried for one sales order. It is set at plant level. If same material is available at other plants, it will be available there.

  • Different availability check for VA01 as for VA02

    Hello,
For the availability check, during sales order creation (VA01), the system takes into account the requirements transferred to MRP. In some cases, an order cannot be confirmed, even if there is sufficient stock according to CO09.
If I change the order (VA02) and run the availability check again, now the system can confirm the order.
It seems that SAP performs a different type of availability check during VA01 as for VA02. Does anybody know where in SPRO I can customize the settings for this?

    Hi there,
In VA01 system doesnot confirm the order even the stock are available because the available stocks are reserved for other orders which are logged in prior to your order.
There is no separate availability check for VA01 & VA02.
If at all items are confirmed in VA01, why again you have to do availability check in VA02?
When you say that when you change the order in VA02, what changes you have made? Changes to any material data, customer master or delivery dates will again trigger availability check.
In VA02 if you want to see the available quantity you have to click on display availability. Not Check Item availability. If you click on Check item availability, tehn system will again carry availability check.

    Sivanand

  • Material Availability check during work order creation and Release

    Hello All,
We are checking material availability at creation as well as release
Say we have Material XYZ=100 in stock MMBE
Now XYZ =100 is say at normal storage location =75
and scrap storage location=05 and serviceable =20
Currently when availability check is performed it checks for 95 (It excludes scrap storage location 05 )
but we want  Availability check to be only for normal stock =75 and not for Serviceable and Scrap location
how to do this in configuration or via exits
Since if the material is under Scrap location it is not counting in Availability check at work order creation this logic is working fine but I do know from where this control is put that when the material is in the stock of scrap it is not counting in Availability check for work orders.Same thing I want to extend it to Serviceable stock .
Why not it is consider it for Scrap storage location , what is config or any MM enhancement
So that when Availability check run it will not consider Materials at SCRAP as well as SERVISABLE storage location also.
Please have your views on this
    Regards
    pratap

    Hello
There are two option for your requiement
    1. Changing the status of the servisable storage location stock to restricted use stock . You can include or exclude this stock status material in OPJJ. This solution is not storage location dependent. It is stock status dependent.
    2. Please refer the enhancement for the storage location determination. I am not sure about this funtionality:
For production orders the following enhancement is available:
PPCO0005 enhancement for storage loc. determination/backflushing
You can use this enhancement to change the storage location and the indicator 'backflushing' in the reservation.
The enhancement PPCO0005 contains the following enhancement components:
    Function exit
    EXIT_SAPLCOSD_001 storage location determination/backflushing
You can find the description in modification text of the function exit.
You can find an example of the user exit in the function group XC01 in the include LXCO1F05.

  • Availability check during Shipping

    Hi,
I want input regarding availability check during shipping.
It's a make to order scenario & I want to know whether availability check is really required during shipping for checking the sales order stock or it can be managed without availability check.
The reason, why I want to avoid availability check is because the quantity of production order is very small say 10 ton of concrete p day. I require a proper logics to convince my client.
    Please share your valuable inputs.
    Regards
    Suman

    Dear Suman
Whatever be the production order quantity, it makes sense to carry out an availability check in the delivery for the following reasons.
If you do not carry out an availability check for particular materials in the sales order, you should definitely check whether the order quantity is available and can be delivered when you create the delivery. Even if you have checked the availability situation in the order, it makes sense to check it once again in the delivery.
The availability check is calculated using planned inward and outward movements of goods. Therefore the delivery situation might have changed in the meantime due to unforeseen circumstances, such as lost output. The availability check in the delivery takes any such changes into account.
    Thanks
