Availability Time Planning
Hi All,
Very Good Afternoon,
I am n't able to schedule the JDBC adapter in Quality system,
In XI Developement it's enable to create the Avilability time planning.
after that i moved my scenario from Development to Quality system, In XI Quality i am n't able to create the JDBC adapter plan schedule.the create the schedule plan is disable mode,.
How can i scechdule the JDBC adapter in Quality system,Kindly help me to solve this issue.

SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR is a compoosite role which has the roles SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_ABAP and SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR_J2EE ......and you seem to have both.....so i dont think that you have to do anymore changes.
Still if you want to confirm:
1) Check SU01 of your DEV system and QA system for your ID.....do you have the same roles and permissions?
2) Is the SP of your DEV and QA the same?
3) Is anybody else able to create the ATP?

Suggesion required in schedulin sender adapter using availability time plan
Hi Experts,
I have to schedule sender JDBC adapter as per below business requirement:
Every month i have to exclude first 5 days and remaining days adapter has to run till month end.
I have selected monthly frequency in Availability time plan and provided 5 days as duration. I have selected excluded option to stop adapter for first 5 days. I have checked the communication channel monitoring, communication channel status is showing stop after 5th day also.
Please suggest me in this regard. What ever i have done is correct or do i need to change the settings in availability time plan??

Bhuvan.Answer: Pick Availability Time Daily and select start series and end series date as needed.. Same date for Availability times from and to.
Click display and then check the dates you dont need (i.e first five days) and click exclude. That's it.

Availability time plan for recevier JDBC adapater ( IDOC-JDBC)

I am doing IDOC-XI-JDBC ( insert) .
We can use availability time plan for sender communication channels ( eg: Sender JDBC ). So the channel is available for only the specified period ( for example : 9AM to 8PM)
Query :
1) Can we use the Availability time plan for Receiver channel ( JDBC )?
2) If Yes, when I activate the time from 9AM to 10 AM , Then after 10 AM if it gets any data, I am getting error in communication channel monitoring adapter level.
If I start the channel with in 5 min then the message processed succefully. But how much time the adapter retries sending message to JDBC. It is giving error at adapter level which it shoudn't.
How to use availability time plan for receiver channel??. Why the message is giving error at adapter level instead of waiting?? will the waiting message success even after 2 hr or more also??

Better way to handle this requirement is, schedule back ground job in ECC to trigger IDoc at specific time interval.>

Suppose you have started Receiver communictaion channel , when ever Adapter engine receive the message then JDBC adapter
will deliver the message to Data base, if data base connection failed due to some reason like Network issue or Data base down, in this case Receiver adapter tries min 3 times to deliver data to Data base, after that it will give error message.
You can set number retries and time interface by your self.

Check audit log ,and post the exception here, there could be number of reasons.

Schedule runtime scenario - RTW Availibilty-time Planning
Hello all-
Is there documentation on RTW Availibilty-time Planning?
I want to learn options on daily, weekly scheduling of ID scenarios using RTW Availibilty-time Planning. (similar to SM36 TCODE in SAP)
How to schedule outbound IDOC and HTTP scenarios as it is not part of Adapter Framework and RTW Availibilty-time Planning?
I read the forum got idea but not in detail.

As far as I am aware, this functionality is not possible for the ABAP based adapters. Perhaps someone else can confirm this.

RWB- avaliability time planning - for(duration)
Hi,gurus:
I have a problem about avaliability time planning.
I create a record ,which type is "daily".
There are some parameters about that,like "at(Time)" and "for(duration)".
What I want to know is can the parameter "for(duration)" be decimal digit?For example,23.95 hours!
We want to schedule our scenario like this:Restart the scenario at 00:00 every day,and end the scanrio at 23:58,and the poll of the scenario is 10 minutes. It is because the user sometimes may manually start the scenario in communication channel monitoring(for example 7:07),but we want the scenario to be started at 00:00 the next day,so I have to set the availibility time planning to meet this requirement ,but can the parameter "for(duration)" be decimal digit?

I planned to test that,but the scenario will go on live tomorrow,so I have to test that in another XI system some day later.
There are no problems for ABAP job to resolve this problem.But for XI time scheduling,it is a little difficult.We have to set the poll of interval in ID,and set the availability time planning. -
Planning Availability Times tab not available
Dear All,
Greetings!
We have a SAP NW 04s system with PI 7.0 SP 11, we are trying to do some actions in the Planning Availability Times tab at the Communication Channel Monitoring in Runtime Workbench.
But the Planning Availability Times tab is not available when I choose any of the Communication Channels, I am able to view only the Cluster Node and Administration Tabs in the browser screen.
Kindly let me know whether any configurations needs to be activated for the tab
(or)
Any special authorizations to the user
(or)
Is the feature available only from SP12, as I searched few OSS notes for Planning Availability Times and found that the corrections or changes refering to SP 12 and above for WAS 7.00.
Currently we are on the below mentioned SP's,
SAP_ABA 700 0011
SAP_BASIS 700 0011
PI_BASIS 2005_1_700 0011
SAP_BW 700 0010
Kindly help me in solving the issue.

I am not sure exactly when this functionality was released (SP11 or SP12). I think it may be available in the latest SP11 patches (XIAFC, XIAF and XITOOLS). You would need to be on the latest patches to ensure you can use the functionality. If you still don't see the button then it will be necessary to go to SP12.

Availability Times For Communication Channels
I'm am new to XI. I have been trying to set the Comm channels to run hourly during between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00. I have used the Planning availability times procedure to try accomplish this. Just for testing I have the channel set up to run every 10 minutes after an hour I set it up to stop. I receive an alert when ever my comm channel is scheduled to start and stop, but the channel does not stop.Is there something I am missing that still needs set up? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I create a list of available times?
I frequently receive emails asking me when I'm free for a meeting. I'd like to reply with a list of available times between specified dates. How do I do this with existing Mac software or commercial products? I've seen such listings from Outlook.

Lync shows wrong available time
We have 1 VIP whose lync shows wrong available time. He works in night hours, so it must say available till 12am .
Pls guide on how to fix this.

Lync will take the work hours from your Outlook client. Try changing users working in Outlook.
To change your work days and times in Outlook 2010, do the following:
Open Outlook Calendar and click the File tab.
Click Options.
Click Calendar.
Under Work time,
Under work hours change the Timings.
Once this is done close the both Lync client and outlook. Open outlook Client first and then Lync Clietn

Make level0 members un-available for planning
Hi,
Is it possible to make level 0 members un-available for planning but to keep them in application for reporting purposes?
My managers will decide if we will use a project in forecasting but want to keep it for reporting purposes in the future.

lubosIf you using bottom-up versioning then you need to enter data at level 0 so in that respect you can't set the level.
Maybe you need to approach it in a different way and have a reporting hiearchy and a planning hierarchy within your dimension.

The table is SCRULES. The problem is that hours information it is a little 'encoded' there.
You can use functions like APPT_RULE_CONVERT_TO_ICAL or APPT_RULE_TEXT_GET to get more readable information.
You can also use FM CRM_SERVICE_ENT_GET_RULEID to get the rule id, based in your availability profile.

I just replaced an Airport Express with a new Airport Extreme. My iMac recognizes the external hard disk I have connected to the Airport Extreme, and my Time Machine is backing up to it. But I can't get my MacBook Pro to recognize the disk as available for Time Machine. Both are running Mavericks, and the MacBook is only a couple of months old.

Background MRP Run Some times Planned orders are not generating.

We run MRP in the background at plant level once in a month. Some time we do not get planned order for the material in MD04. Than we run MRP (Selected material only) manually through MD01 considering MRP control parameter 13132.Than only we get planned order. Plesae let me know why it happens? Please give your comments on this.

First check the output list or the results of MRP run in SM37,find out for how many materials it has
throwned out error,I hope in this list you can find out the materials.
Then the next step you have to check once again the material master settings.
Instead of running in MD02,first check whether was there any issue in master data,or if this happening
repeatedly for the same materials and work around.

Availability check - Planned order not considered
Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue in Make to Order scenario.
My sale order is of quantity 10.
when i save the sale order, i get confirmed quantity as Zero.
But in my controls setting of availability check i have selected consider all firmed planned order.
Now i have a firmed planned order for this sale order.
but still system shows confirm quantity as Zero.
Let me know what is the correct procedure and whether planned orders are considered for availabilty check for MTO scenario or not.
