Availablity Check in Sales Order with Total Replenishment Lead Time

Dear PP Consultants,
This is regarding the TRLT field functionality during availablity check of Sales Order.
I understand the TRLT field is defined manually in Material Master MRP-3 view as the sum of the longest lead time of raw material, in-house-production time and floats.
If during the availablity check of Sales Order, the raw material which is having the longest lead time is already available in stock, can the system calculate the TRLT dynamically and propose the delivery date in sales order only based on in-house production time??
Is there any setting that can be made so that during availability check of Sales Order, the system considers the stock of raw materials and then propose the confirmed dates?
Your early respose is much appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance for your valauble suggestions.
Thanks,
Kishore

Hi,
The RLT is not dynamic, and is not related to the stock situation of the components.
It's only purpose is to give an estimated availability date for the finished material (sold) when no better information is present (like a procurement element).
The only way I know to get an availability date taking into account the availability of components, is the assemble-to-order scenario. In this scenario (MTO!), a production order is created automatically during the creation of the sales order. The system can then use the production order features like scheduling and availability check of components to propose the availability date for the finished product.
Besides that, you can get much more complex solutions for ATP using APO's ATP engine.

  • Sales order with Compl.deliv., Lead time and Shipping date problems

    Hello, SAP gurus!
We have some concerns with sales orders that won't start processing, and I'm wondering if there's anyone here who have had experience with this problem.
If not, hopefully you understand this scenario.
    Scenario:
    * A salesorder with three lines, of which two lines are not in stock (itemcategory YBAB), one line in stock (itemcat TAN)
    * Requested delivery date is asap, ie 19/03-2014
    * Marked with Complete delivery
    * In the Shipping tab, it seems all dates are copied from lead time of the YBAB-lines, 11/06-2014.
    * We just received the two YBAB-lines on PO, but the date still shows 11/06-2014, almost a month from now.
Is it possible to make SAP automatically change the shipping date to the date we actually receive the items and are ready to process the order?
What we have now is a salesorder made 2 months ago, ready to be packed and shipped today, but SAP seems to hold on to the "expected" date a month from now. It's frustrating!
    Hope to hear from you

    Hello,
You will need to trigger a av. check again to factor the impact of receipt of YBAB items.
You could evaluate backorder processing to automate this as a daily run to work on the sales order relevant for re-ATP based on new availability situation.
       Thanks,

  • Total replenish lead time

    Hi gurus,
anyone can explain why this field (total replenish lead time) is designed to enter manually instead of system automatically calculate from BOM for a manufactured part? and how does it work according to the following scenario:
product X is produced in plant=1000 from material A and B (both A and B are procured externally for plant 1000, to simplify the case)
in plant 1000, PO processing time=1day
A: planned del.time=3 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
B: planned del.time=5 days, GR. processing time=1 day.
to make X need 2 operation: 1st operation need 1 day to assemble A and B together, after assembling, 2nd operation need 1 day to paint, 1 day to dry
what's the total replenish lead time we should enter for X?
    thanks,
    cookie

    Dear Cookie
3.if it's only for availability check, does that mean the MRP would not be affected by this field, then what would be the lead time feed into MRP? what's the relationship between MRP and availability check? why they use 2 different sets of data?
    1) MRP will not take this field into Account for Calculating Dates
    2) MRP for in-house materials - in-house production time & GR Procesing time ( Lead time )
3 ) For external Procured materials - PR processing time , Planned delevery time & GR Processing time
    4) MRP Net Req. Calculation Concept is different from Availbility check Concept

  • Availablity check in sales order considering the Raw material stock/procurement

    Hi Gurus,
Our client Production process requires  the availability check at order level to consider the procurement time required for the Rawmaterial (BOM component of the FERT, whose sales order is taken) in cases when this RM is not available in the plant, and Availability check should not consider this procurement time when this RM is available in the plant.
ie in first case, it should consider the total time for in-house production as well as the time required to procure the rawmaterials, along with all other times that we use like Gr processing time, packing picking etc.
In second case it should not consider the RM procurement time, but only the inhouse production time and other times as applicable.
To my understanding, Availability check at order level will only check the time given in the MRP view of the FERT, and it does not check anything about RM stock or RM procurement time.
Can you please give me some suggestions to meet this requirement of the client (client is into Food Product Manufacturing).
Your quick response will be very helpful

You can try with user exits intended for ATP as recommended in the following note based on material type:-
Note 1644443 - Documentation on User-Exits in the area of the availability
That is as and when ATP runs for a sale order, with any of the exits listed out in the above note, you can validate for the material type which would be different for components and accordingly, write a coding in such a way not to consider such of those components.  But ensure that the user-exits are critical and should be tested carefully as cautioned in the note.

  • Creating New Sales Order with Total=$0.00

B1 is not allowing me to save a Sales Order with a DocTotal of zero.  Is there a setting to allow this?  Something I missed in admin, maybe?

In Sales Order, I enter a Customer.  I then select a Delivery Date.  I click 'Add' and receive a message box: "Document total is zero. Continue?"
    I click 'Yes'.
I receive a status bar error:
"Invalid total [[Sales Order - Document Total]] [[Message 131-44]]"
The Sales Order does not add.

This transaction is not a part of standard SD - most likely it's specific to some industry solution or an international add-on.
Post in another forum, search for OSS notes and send a message to SAP, since it's not a Y/Z transaction.

  • Total replenishment lead time calcuation

    Experts,
how does SAP determine the replenishment lead time for a part under the following circumstances,
    - purchase part (ProcType F)
    - two PIR for two vendors with diffrent delivery times per vendor.
    - Source list has no fixed vendor
    - quote arragement in place.
in MD04 I see the correct split acc. to quote arrangement, but currently I have the effect that the replenishment lead time for this part changes form delivery time of vendor A to delivery time of vendor B from time to time. Unfortunatly I can not see a pattern in behind.
Who can explain this behaviour ?
    Thanks in advance
    Jörg

    Hi,
    - purchase part (ProcType F)
Depending on the setup done in OPPQ (push button - external procurement), the lead times will be read from Info record first if not existing then from material master or directly from material master.
    - two PIR for two vendors with diffrent delivery times per vendor.
If the vendor is fixed, then the lead time from the fixed vendor is selected. If quota based, then from the vendor to whom the quota is allocated to.
    - Source list has no fixed vendor
    lead time from mtl master.
    - quote arragement in place.
Lead time as per info rec of vendor selected based on the quota arrangement.
Now all the above is theory... so take some examples in your sandbox & do some testing to see it n revert if you face any issues.

  • Credit Check in Sales order with partner other than payer

    Hello,
We have typical business scenario in the sales process in yarn industry. Details are mention below:
    - Complete sales process starts with agent and ends with agent but payer(debtor) are always the end customer(Form C customers) which are also provided by Agents
    - Credit Limit are maintained with respect to Agents and there is no possible combination is to which customer will order goods via which agents
    - Major issue we are facing how to perform credit check as at Agent level bcoz invoices are created for end customer
    Options:
    - In order to use Standard functionality is that created multiple payers in the system belonging to combination of agent and customer and use A/R parent customer concept in credit master data were we can map them as Agent.
But issue with this solution is lot of payers will be created in the system.
Not sure if customer hierarchy concept can be useful.
So kindly request to suggest best possible solution available for above process.
    Regards
    Sagar

    Dear Magge,
This is the standard SAP behaviour. Please refer to SAP Note 706034.
    As per this note
"This is required due to the following:
During creation, the credit managment checks a document with "OK". For a
later change of the document, the credit check is "not OK". Since the
reaction "Error message (Error)" is set in the Customizing, the system
    could not save the document.
Due to this, the system cannot set the credit status "not OK" for the
document, in order to prevent follow-up activities. Therefore the system
displays a warning message instead of the error message, so that you can
save the document and thus set the credit status (blocked). The document is
    blocked now for follow-up activities."
We faced the same issue in our project and found we cannot change the Warning message to Error as it is hardcoded as warning. Hence we used USER EXIT and gave the logic that if this warning message is called when in T code VA02 then throw Error Message.
    Hope this will be helpful.

  • Total Relenishment Lead Time vs. Routings Lead Time  ( very urgent)

    Hello PP Champs
    Need urgent help
I am facing a scenario in current project -
My Customer service quotes for delivery to an customer with in 3 days for a stock item by seeing the availability check with Total Replenishment Lead time in MAterial Master , but when production order is created SAP schedules the same on routing Lead time basis with a date after 7 days. this seems technically correct as per Std.SAP settings
1=but How to avoid this business conflict in SAP PP module?
2=another thing we are nt using the capacity planning with this client ,but incase we get 2-3 orders with same start date and same requirement date for a single work center " how to priortise the selection of production orders" w/o capacity planning
pl consider first query as most urgent and help me
Could somebody put a thought on this and help me out.. I'll reward full points any helping hand for the same
    Thx in advance

    Hi,
you can define via define  the checking scope opjj whether to include the RLT
    in availability check or not.
    Note:
Items for which the delivery date falls within the replenishment lead time, but for which there is no inventory, are confirmed for delivery after the replenishment lead time. In the case of items for which the delivery date falls after the end of the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that everything can be confirmed.
In the standard version, leave this field blank if you want the system to check the replenishment lead time.
    Dependencies
If you want the system to check the replenishment lead time, you should make sure that you have entered a value in at least one of the following three fields in the material master:
GR (goods receipt) processing time (Purchasing view)
Planned delivery time (MRP I view)
GR processing time (MRP II view)
Otherwise, the system confirms every requirement

  • Availability check on Sales order creation

    Dear Gurus,
I'm trying to set the availablity check on Sales order creation VA01. I need to do this on saving the order. it there an SPRO for this. please help me out on this occation.
    many thanks..

    Hi
If there is a stock of 1000 in unrestricted and if you have included sales requirements in OVZ9 (made a tick sales requirements in inward and outward movement) then if you create a order customer X with 100 quantities of that same material stock will be reserved for that customer X with 100 quantities
But if you check in MMBE there wont be any reduction still it will be 1000 only
If that order is delivered and pgi done then only In MMBE stocks will become 900
To have a very proper reservation for that customer it is better to go to  t code MB1B movement type 412 E and that will reserve stocks for him with proper material document(reserving for sales order)
If you do that unrestricted becomes 900 and sales order stocks become 100 in MMBE
In case 1 there is chance of your 100 quantities can be reallocated to another customer thro back order processing
In case 2 it is not possible it will be for that order only
Or if you create delivery and dont do PGI then stocks will be reserved for that delivery
But to have stocks reduced from MMBE you have to do PGI

  • Credit sales order with credit check without top up limit

    Hi Experts,
I have a silly question, just wanted to confirm is this possible in SAP system?
I have check thru seem no such function.
My user requested a requirement is credit sales order with credit limit check however without top up credit limit to specific customer. eventually allow this specific customer sales order, delivery order without blocking and created succesfully?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Yong Kok Wah

    Hi,
Use a seprate risk category for such customer. In OVA8 Setting for the given risk category set the Credit Limit Seasonal factor.
By means of above setting system will support the concept of TOP Up credit limit (for a given time period) for given customer against said credit limit.

  • How to check the sales orders that have been created with an Rebate Agreeme

    Dear Experts,
Do you know how to check the sales orders that have been created with an Rebate Agreements?
    Thanks!!

    Hi Hoo Laa,
I have one way but little lengthy.
Rebate condition always appears in the billing document.
So 1st you extract the sales order list from Table VBAK.
once you have the sales order list then you can put your order list in Table VBFA --> Extract the billing document list.
Now put that list in the table VBRK.
In VBRK you will get the "Doc. condition" --> put that doc condition in table KONV with your rebate condition type.
    It will show the result.
Later, through VLOOKUP you can identify in which order you have given rebate to your customer.
    Already said, Little lengthy

  • Automatic Freight price on Sales Order with minimum total freight for order

    Hi,
I am stuck trying to solve a freight pricing scenario on sales orders and I was hoping that someone might have seen this problem before. There are a number of basic requirements:
    1. The freight should be calculated automatically.
    2. The freight should be based on weight and shipping condition.
    3. The total freight of the order should be minimum X Euro.
The problem we have is to try combining these three requirements since access sequences and condition records are not used on header conditions. The first 2 should be possibe to solve using a copy of standard item freight condition KF00 and creating a new access sequence including shipping condition. However, when including the last requirement we must see to the freight price of the complete Sales order and the system must automatically if the total reaches the minimum level.
For example, say that we have a sales order with 2 items and the minimum freight for a total order should be 10 Euro. Based on weight and shipping condition the system automatically finds condition records giving item 1 a freight price of 2 Euro and item 2, 3 Euro -> giving us a total freight of 5 Euro.
The system should see that the total freight of the 2 items does not reach the minimum freight price and automatically use the minimum price instead.
I have been looking at the possibility to use 2 separate condition types (since the minimum should be a fixed price), or maybe it is possible to solve this through a user exit somehow? Has anyone seen this type of problem before?
Any input and thoughts would be highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    /Dan

    Hi Dan
For the 1st  query , maintain access sequence and assign it to the condition type and maintain condition record for that freight condition type
For your 2nd query , in V/06 change the calculation type of the freight condition type to gross weight /Net weight
But as  issue is concerned   in VK12 maintain minimum & maximum values. So if the Minimum value reaches then only the condition type triggers
So in your pricing procedure say you have a 2 freight condition types of  ZXXX & YXXX . So assign minimum & maximum order values in VK12 for ZXXX condition type . And if its maximum value exceeds then YXXX condition type should trigger.
