Avoid transport request while saving table

Hi,
I have created a Z table and its maintenance view. When ever I enter values(rather change using SM30) in this table, always a popup with transport request is appearing. I need to avoid this. I need to avoid this as data will be maintained in production by business user and no data will be transported from Dev to QA to prod. I am not able to avoid tranport request number.
I am on SAP 4.6C.

Customizing tables not asking for Customizing Request while saving data

Hi,
I have some customizing tables in my development server (Delivery Class = 'C').
These always used to ask for a Customizing Request whenever data was saved in them.
Suddenly, I have noticed they are no more asking for any Customizing Request. I cross-checked in the Transport Organizer and confirmed that there are no customizing requests of mine which may be already holding any data entries of these tables.
I wonder why this may be happening (believe it to be some basis configuration issue. also asked my basis guy but he has no clue).

My problem is now solved. Let me summarize the problem and the solution now.
-> The customization tables suddenly stopped asking for a request while saving data.
Somehow the settings had been reset, and as Gautham pointed out, it was corrected in the tcode SCC4
-> Most of the tables now worked fine, but still few of them didnt ask for requests
Here, I found out that the developers had chosen "no, or user, recording routine" instead of "standard recording routine". For such tables, when i check in the tcode SE54, menu path Environment -> Maintenance Objects -> Change, I find the Transport category 'No Transport'. Regenerating the maintenance generator choosing "standard recording routine" fixes this and the tables now ask for a customizing request.

Including transport request while modifying the custom table

Hello Experts,
I have a scnerio like, I have to insert/modify some records in my custom table. Now we want that these records should come under a transport request, so that we can track which records are for which user.
I am developing a report and including a parameter for transport request in the selection screen. So the report will take TR number directly from selection screen, but how to include it for the records inserted.

I think you did'nt understood my issue. I am not using and transaction. I am creating a report program which inserts new entries into my custom table based on the flat file on my presentation server.
Now I want these entries to be inside a transport request which is there in the selection screen.
Hope this gives the clear idea of my specification.

Asking for transport request while table data updation

Hi All,
I am trying to update a table TCJ04 using transaction OPS6. When ever I am adding a new entry or edit the existing entry and click SAVE, the table is asking for Transport request number.
This table carries a master data and should not be asking for transport request. Rather its access has to be controlled by user authorisation.
Please tell me as to what is the reason of asking for transport request.

Hi There,
It is asking for the transport request for each new entry in the table since the Delivery class in the attributes is set to C( Customizing table, maintenance only by cust., not SAP import ), If it is set to "A" it will not ask for the transport request..
Try creating a custom table and play around with the Delivery class, A and C, you will come to know the difference.

System ask for a transport request while maintain IT0002

I'm getting strange message while maintaining IT0002 i.e system ask for a transport request. But while maintaining IT0008 or IT0009 etc it's not asking transport request. So while Diagnosis it is giving
Active integration to Organizational Management means that when a link to Organizational Management is created, it is saved automatically.
When saving organizational data, the data must be written to a transport request because, for example, the automatic transport recording is active. Without a correction request, the relevant changes in Organizational Management cannot be saved.

Check the Tcode OOCR how the swich is active or not
later check with ur basis Guy once

How to avoid Transport request in ITS logon screen

when I try to enter logon details in GUI service ( SICF tcode ), it is asking request number to save the service. Is there any way to save without transport request?

Transport Request for Custom Table??

Hi all,
I got the requriment for Custom Table.
"The table should have attributes such as the table contents can be transported from DEV to QA to PROD. Also the table can be maintained individually in QA or PROD too"
I have understood that I need to have "Delivery Class" as "C". But i want to know what should Transport request type: (Workbanch or Customizing)

If table must be maintained in QA and PRD, you need "Delivery Class" as "A". With "Delivery Class" as "C" you can only maintain table in DEV and transport entrie changes to the other systems.

Asking for Transport Request while editing DTP in Quality - Client Open

We have opened the client and trying to edit the DTP, but it is asking for transport request.
Is there any other setting that we need to do in order not to prompt for transport request?

Hi Ganesh,
One of the options would be to save it in a DUMMY request ,incase you do not want to transport such that you make changes next time it will by default get saved in that DUMMY request i.e it will not ask for a request next time.
We usually save it in Dummy request,when we change a DTP in Quality or in Production.

How to Create Transport Request For custom table

Hello All,
I have and requirement to create transport request automatically when and record inserted in to the custom table.
Actually FI whe people create or delete some bank account from DEV client the transport request creates automatically and they transport that request to Quality and Production system to delete or create that account from all the systems. but when they delete the account all the informations related to that bank accounts get deleted from all the standered customize tables . to keep the track of that deleted account I have created one z table which is of type customize table. this table is filled automatically when any account get deleted from DEV system. now I want to pass that record to Quality and Production systems using transport request.
how can i create transport request when record get inserted into my ztable automatically.

Hello All,
This is a FAQ and has been answered many times before in the forum.
1. Maintain delivery class 'C' it will start asking for a TR: False. Delivery class has got nothing to do with the TR prompt. It determines how the data is to be transported. A delivery class 'C' will prompt for a customizing request, whereas a delivery 'A' will prompt for a workbench request.
2. For the system to automatically prompt for a TR you have to select the "Standard Recording Routine" in the table maintenance generator. This will prompt you for a TR every time you try to create / modify a record & save it to the DB.
Hope i am clear in my explanation.
If your table is filled automatically through some coding you have to add the entry to the TR programmatically. SPD "The server could not complete your request" while "Saving the XOML file"

Greetz!
I'm trying to resolve an issue where a SharePoint Designer Approval workflow on a list fails while "Saving the XOML file". The workflow has been reduced to a single step for tests and it still fails.The more details dialog is empty.
The Event Viewer does not record the event and no unexpected events show up in the logs.
Any ideas on what might be causing this?

How to create a transport request while making changes to a role.

Go to tcode PFCG.
enter the role name
click on menu role->transport.
and then execute and click on all the checkbox and then it will ask for the request ....and then u can transport it.

Transport request when saving Org Plan

Hi All,
When I create the org plan (PPOCA_BBP) or vendor group (PPOCV_BBP) I'm being prompted to create a transport request. I've never seen this happen before.
Does anyone know if there are any system settings that need to be made to stop this happing?

Dear Chris,
I am not sure about Org Plan and Vendor Group, but, usually you would need to assign your customization to a transport request so that you could transport them from Development to Quality and Quality to Production Server.
However, you can override the settings in SCC4:
under Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects:
*Changes without Automatic Recording
*Automatic Recording of Changes
*No changes allowed
*Changes without Automatic recording, not transports allowed

Prompt for customizing request while saving changes on infotype

I have the problem when I am going to change a employees infotype (e.g. infotype 0001 or 0002) using transaction PA30.
If I want to save this action, the screen appear dialog box: "prompt for customizing request."
Has anyone experienced such a problem? If so, can you please tell me how
did you fix it.

Hi,
For master data maintenance no need of transport request. Ask your basis people to remove transport request option for master data maintenance. Earlier I faced the similar problem I report basis team and they removed it.

Transport Request while changing InfoPackage

Hi,
I have a 2 different info packages on 2 different infosources which are of flat file upload.
Whenever we want to load the data, we change the file name in the External Data tab of the infopack and schedule to start immediately.
For one infopackage, system is asking for the transport request whenever I change the source filename but for the other one system doesn't prompt for transport request. It starts loading without any message.
Can anyone please advise what could be the reason for asking request for one infopack and not for the other one. Is there is any settings ?

Hi,
one got transported from development system and is assigned to a development class --> the system puts it into a request.
the other one is not transported and just a local object --> the system does not need a request to track the changes.

Transport Request while Uploading Documents

Hi
We have small problem when some of our users are trying to upload documents in Solution Manager. The system prompts for the Transport Request whenever they are trying. They have uploaded earlier and did not prompt for any. I checked the scc4 settings and make sure that I h ave selected the correct setting. Is there any way we can disable this option.

Are you sure SCC4 settings were not adjusted at that time or for a certain period, it's hard to believe it would suddenly change out of the blue.
