Aware of Gatekeeper address lookup failures

How can I know when a Gatekeeper send an resolution failure to gateway.
thanks

You can use the following commands on the gatekeeper:
term mon
debug h225 asn1
debug gatekeeper main 10
These will show you the messages sent between the gateway and gatekeeper as well as the gatekeeper logic for accepting or rejecting the call. Be sure to do "undebug all" when you're finished.
Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.

  • How to fix "Email address lookup" failure

    Here is a weird one...
    I have created a new nickname object which has three email addresses.
    They all list OK under "View Email Addresses"
    However when testing, GWIA reported "no such user". !!
    After double checking the "View Email Addresses" screen for typo's, I did a Tools | Utilities | Email Address Lookup and it fails on the address, but the other two addresses for this nickname object are found OK.
    So I deleted the nickname object and recreated it, but it still the 3rd email address can't be found.
    Does anyone know why this is the case? Or better yet how to fix this?
    Cheers, Gordon

    Uwe,
    I have synchonised the user object, and strange thing is that the nickname addresses actually appear in the user object under the "View Email Addresses" list, in the "Nickname Email Addresses" section. So the user object looks correct.
    I guess that when the Email Address Lookup utility searches as does GWIA, it accesses an address list and not by actually looking at each individual user object's address list. So I just have to figure out why just one of the three nickname email addresses are not making it to this "Email Address Lookup" list.
    I might look into doing a PO rebuild, unless there are any other less drastic ideas.

  • Intermittent lookup failures and system limits?

    Hi,
    on our deployment system we sometimes see intermitten failures of lookups. E.g. on the Webserver (Apache2.2) with a reverse proxy to an internal machine defined in /etc/hosts we will get "DNS Lookup failure", after a few reloads it works. Or restart of the apache helped, too. In our postgres mirroring script we have a similar problem. A host cannot be found even though the host is defined in /etc/hosts.
    Since the problems are not 100% reproducable, I was thinking about some system limits (open files, processes?)
    Did anybody run into a similar problem or has some hints where to look?
    Christian

    Hi,
    I've been running a reverse proxied Webserver setup to an internal machine for over 4 months and not seen this problem. My reverse proxy instructions are located in /etc/apache2/sites/specifichostfile in the <IfModule modproxybalancer.c> module instructions.
    I just use the internal IP to denote the machine not even bothering with a DNS entry. But an A record could be introduced to lookup the internal machine. If all the traffic on this domain goes to an internal machine you can specify the IP address in the WebService->General panel. In my case I am only diverting the /cgi-bin/ traffic in one case and Rails traffic in another, and so am more selective.

  • Address Lookup in External LDAP

    I did changes in my $OH/j2ee/OC4J_UM/config/oc4j.properties file in order to Lookup in a external LDAP:
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.label=Contacts
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.url=ldap://OtherLinuxHost.mydomain.com:389
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.searchbase=ou=Contacts,dc=mydomain,dc=com
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.filter=objectClass=inetOrgPerson
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.mail=mail
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.lname=sn
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.fname=givenName
    toolkit.ldap.dir.1.attribute.alias=uid
    In my Collaboration Suite - Messages when I am creating
    New Message, click in Blue Torch,
    Select from list the "Contactss" directory
    Select "Email Address" "contains" * => Go
    UM shows the contacts from the External Ldap, but when I try to bcc, or cc or to, it is not updating my destination fileds (bcc/ cc/ to). But if instead of select the List "Contacts" I select the Internal Directory (OID) it works fine?
    Which argument I miss ? or how I configure UM for export the email address from the AddrLookup Window to the Message_compose Window in the destination fields (bcc or cc or to) ?
    Thanks alot for any help.

    It is happening to us as well, we have OCS release 2 9.0.4.2 on Linux trying to access an external OpenLDAP linux server for shared contacts.
    After we get the results of the search on the external LDAP, no button works on the Address Lookup window except "Close". It doesn't matter is we select the "Corporate Book" or other Oracle internal address books; we have to close the window and open it again to do a new search.
    Are you seeing the same behavior?
    I will have a phone conference today (5/11/05) with Oracle support to talk about this issue, we have had a TAR open for about 20 days now.
    I'll keep you posted with the results.

  • Specific Destination Address Lookup?

    Now on a dedicated GPS device, you can enter an exact destination address, and the GPS device can find it, quickly, and create a route to your destination.
    Does Nokia Ovi Maps support direct address lookup on the phone?  I have not been able to get it to work.
    Now you can locate an address on the phone by finding it on the map, save it to favorites, but this is tedious and time consuming, to get the street number right.
    You can also enter the address online to Ovi Maps, and sync the location to the phone into your Favorites.  This works well too.   Now you have your precise destination.
    Am I missing something or is this a limitation with respect to the downloaded maps to the phone?
    To have precise address to GPS coordinates on the phone offline to all known addresses would make the maps too large.
    This is using the phone offline.  For example, doing route planning, inside your house with no GPS or network connection.
    The second case is you have your current GPS position known to the phone, since you are outside, yet the phone cannot determine your specific destination, when you enter it.  In this case, you only have a GPS satellite connection, nothing else.   I cannot enter a destination here either.
    My belief is you must be "online", either WiFi or with a phone data plan, to get specific destinations.   Is this belief correct?

    Hi Biff27
    The answer appears to be that it is regional variation whether or not you can navigate "Offline" to a specific address. Using v3.04 with UK maps downloaded there is no problem but talking here about small surface area compared with other countries. At one point I had world maps downloaded together with all "ClientIndex" so it certainly wasn't absence of available data to blame but no comparison to that on remote server.

  • Address Lookup option has disappeared

    hi all,
    my company recently moved to google mail and i am using a BB with curve 9300. all seems to be working fine except for 2 things.
    firstly when i go to compose an email on my BB and look for a company name in the address book i no long have the address lookup function. i am sure it was there when i first set up my BB with our company gmail domain.
    secondly 2 way sync seems to be working fine except for when i delete a message on the BB i get the option to delete on handheld and on mailbox and select that. except it never does. i have recived the message over and over from the server. i have changed the settings so on conflicts handheld wins and still the message wont delete on the server. the sync works fine for sent items on BB calender and for read items. just wont delete.
    any help would be much appreciated. have been trawling the internet for help but not found anything yet.
    thanks in advance
    g

    Hi gjrc,
    The address lookup feature is only available when using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server. If your company has switched to GMail for their mail service, they would not be using BlackBerry Enterprise Server anymore.

  • Address Lookup from Postcode

    Can anybody recommend or show me an example of a Address lookup using Apex? (Thats also Free?)
    Cheers Stars!

    Spam wrote:

    From the purely technical point of view I can't, other than provide a general pointer in the direction of web services...
    (Thats also Free?)...however whatever technical solutions exist, they are doomed on this critieria. UK postcode data is owned by the Royal Mail and must be properly licensed: the last project I worked on with this feature [non-APEX] had a feature to count the number of postcode searches performed so that the appropriate royalties could be calculated and paid. Given the state of Royal Mail's finances I doubt that this has changed since then, or is likely to in the foreseeable future.

  • ICal address lookup

    I have noticed a bug in the address lookup in iCal, it never seems to find the same addresses as it does in the native maps app which renders this function useless.
    I was wondering if anyone else has found this issue or a fix.
    When iCal is searching for the address the most popular are not showing according to my local area.  Also it displays missing suburb names and won't select address.
    Also is this able to translate to ios7? I can't seem to get the travel times on my iPhone, with iCal on ios7 again would be great as I take my phone with me not my desktop. Just a suggestion

    Ditto. If I paste in a complete address, the map function does not work. But if I slowly type the address, giving time for maps to search after each keystroke, *sometimes* I am presented with the correct address to select.
    Why can't it simply map whatever address is input? Very odd.

  • DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure for xml type

    I generated a web-services.xml with the wsdl2Service task without a type mapping. The service is a document/literal based web service. I implemented the Java method, which accepts a single parameter with type javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement and returns javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement. Everytime I invoke the method from a client I get the following error from the server (WebLogic 8.1 SP4):
    weblogic.xml.schema.binding.DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure for xml type ['urn:mytest1']:test and java interface javax.xml.soap.SOAPElement
    at weblogic.xml.schema.binding.RuntimeUtils.invoke_deserializer(RuntimeUtils.java:325)
    What could be wrong with my configuration?

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same problem on weblogic8.1SP1.
    If you had rectified this problem, please advice me as well.

  • Hostname lookup failure

    I am running Oracle 8.17 on a Win2000 PC and my App server on a linux box.
    My problem is when connecting the following wont work:
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@my.host.net:1521:mydb"
    while
    "jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.168.0.7:1521:mydb"
    does work
    I do have my.host.net set in the /etc/hosts file as 192.168.0.7 and I can ping and traceroute to my.host.net.
    Two weeks ago all this code did work and now I am a loss for words.

    Update: I used hstrerror() and extracted the error message for the corresponding error when res_init() failed. hstrerror() returned 'Hostname lookup failure' error. Any inputs?

  • Participant Lookup Failure

    We are having problems locating participants using findByEmail on our server. Using the ID we successfully lookup the user with DirHumanParticipant. Using the mail property we then attempt to do a findByEmail to get the participant. This fails to locate the participant even though we have verified the participant email in our test is correct. Is there some sort of sync between the DirHumanParticipant info and Particpant info that would cause this lookup failure?
    The code that is failing is as follows:
    dirHumanParticipant = DirHumanParticipant.fetch(session : mySession, id : element.alipid);
    if (dirHumanParticipant != null) {
    email = dirHumanParticipant.mail;
    if (email != null && email != "") {
    ** part = Participant.findByEmail(email : email);
    if (part != null) {
    copy = clone(this);
    copy.leaveData = leaveData;
    copy.participant.next = part;
    else {
    logMessage("......particpant not found ", severity : INFO);
    ** This is the statement that fails to locate the participant, return null;

    Hi,
    Am I correct in thinking that you're using the user ID to get the DirHumanParticipant in order to get the unique email so that you can use that to get the 'Participant' to use? (if not ignore the following :-))
    Because I'm pretty sure the Participant.find(String name) method actually does a lookup by the Participant ID, not the name as the signature states.
    So the following should work too:
    copy = clone(this);
    copy.leaveData = leaveData;
    copy.participant.next = Particpant.find(element.alipid)
    Cheers,
    Tim

  • "no match" in address lookup

    Thanks in advance for the help. I was on an Enterprise Server at my former employer prior to loosing my job. They took me off but since then have had this problem with address book.  I can find them by scrolling all 600+ but not easily. Also won't do lookup for email addresses either. Thanks, Phiphirn
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    The 'Lookup' feature can only be used if the device is connected to the Enterprise Server, and it's used only for looking up addresses for people that do not exist in your device's Address Book.
    When you go into your devices Address Book, you should be able to just start typing a first or last name and device should start to filter the addresses based on what you're type.  So if you type J then O then H, it should find any names that have JOH in them (John Smith, Mike Johnson, etc).
    If you find a post here helpful, please consider giving the poster some Kudos
