Axis offsets and padding problems

I am having problems with getting my charts to draw as columns to the right of tick marks.  Here is what the chart should look like:
But here is what mine looks like in Flex:
Below  are snippets from my code to draw the chart in Actionscript.  As you can see, I am currently using the padding property on CartesianChart to keep the chart from clipping the columns.  Then I use offset on the columnSeries to get the columns off the labels.  But I am left with a big gap on the left...
// code
     var genericChart:CartesianChart = new CartesianChart();
     var axisList:ArrayCollection = chart.getAxisList();
     var renderers:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection();
     var seriesArray:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection();
     var hAxis:LinearAxis = new LinearAxis();
     hAxis.padding = 100;
    var ar:AxisRenderer = new AxisRenderer();
    ar.axis = hAxis;
    genericChart.horizontalAxisRenderers = [ar];
    genericChart.horizontalAxis = hAxis;
    var vAxis:LinearAxis = new LinearAxis();
    vAxis.baseAtZero = false;
    var axr:AxisRenderer = new AxisRenderer();
    axr.axis = vAxis;
    var columnSeries:ColumnSeries = new ColumnSeries();
    columnSeries.columnWidthRatio = 90;
    columnSeries.offset = 50;
    columnSeries.verticalAxis = vAxis;
    seriesArray.addItem(columnSeries);
    renderers.addItem(axr);
    genericChart.series = seriesArray.toArray().reverse();
    genericChart.verticalAxisRenderers = renderers.toArray();

This appears to be a common problem with Axis not specific to Sun ONE Web Server: http://www.google.com/search?q=org.apache.axis.client.Stub.extractAttachments
You say you tried Axis 1.2, but the NullPointerException you point out appears to have been fixed in Axis 1.2: http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/ws-axis/java/src/org/apache/axis/client/Stub.java?rev=1.32&view=log#rev1.32
Perhaps you're running into a different, unrelated problem with Axis 1.2?

    I have the macBookPro and the problem is the mouse pad does not work I tried everything but still does not work what should i do ?
    so i'm using the usb mouse

    I want to clarify the issue.
    The issue is with the MBP trackpad, and it works fine with an attached USB mouse.
    With some ingenuity, you might be able to fix this yourself, but I suggest visiting your local Apple Store/Genius Bar. Some have fixed this issue and have posted their results online, but the Apple Store should be your first destination.

  • Spry Menu Bar 2.0 (1.0) - Handling of widget generated CSS, placement and rendering problems in CSS

    Hello:
    I wanted to repost my question to re-frame the issue based on what I have learned thus far.
    I am working on a website that has been developed using the Spry Menu Bar Framework UI (2.0) I.0, that has some peculiar rendering problems that affect IE 6 in particular.  The CSS is reprinted below.
    In particular, when I post the widget generated CSS in the head as it is orginally situated by the framework, the menu bar works fine.  However, it seemed to me that I should be able to reduce page weight (an important consideration considering my target population) by placing it in the general style sheet governing the entire site.
    When I place the styles at the beginning of the style sheet the menu doesn't render at all in any of the browsers (IE 6+, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Netscape, etc.) as it conflicts with the general rules governing links that appear later in the style sheet.  When I place the styles specific to the Menu bar at the end of the style sheet, then the menu bar renders properly in all browsers except IE 6.
    The odd thing is that the only way to ensure that the menu bar works in IE 6 is to keep the menu related styles in the head of each page.  This raises problems related to page weight (not an insurmountable consideration if no other solution can be found) but still an issue.  Likewise I need to support IE 6, again given the target audience/population.  The issue obviously has something to do with specificity, but I am not certain that is the only consideration at work here.  I have not tried the !important selector in regard to the menu, as IE 6 seems to only partially support this.
    Thanks in advance for any advice or insight that can be provided.  Thanks in particular to Martin for his contributions to my earlier question related to this issue.
    Steve Webster.
    The CSS governing the horizontal menu bar is as follows:  (currently the following CSS is embedded in the head of the web page)
    <style type="text/css">
    /*  -- Begins Spry Menu Widget 2.0 (1.0) Horizontal menu bar Custom styles --  */
    /* BeginOAWidget_Instance_2141544: #MenuBar */
    /* Settable values for skinning a Basic menu via presets. If presets are not sufficient, most skinning should be done in
       these rules, with the exception of the images used for down or rightpointing arrows, which are in the file SpryMenuBasic.css
         These assume the following widget classes for menu layout (set in a preset)
       .MenuBar - Applies to all menubars - default is horizontal bar, allsubmenus are vertical - 2nd level subs and beyond are pull-right.
        .MenuBarVertical - vertical main bar; all submenus are pull-right.
       You can also pass in extra classnames to set your desired top levelmenu bar layout. Normally, these are set by using a preset.
        They only apply to horizontal menu bars:
            MenuBarLeftShrink - The menu bar will be horizontally 'shrinkwrapped' to be just large enough to hold its items, and left aligned
            MenuBarRightShrink - Just like MenuBarLeftShrink, but right aligned
            MenuBarFixedLeft - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedLeft', and left aligned.
            MenuBarFixedCentered -  - Fixed at a specified width set in the rule '.MenuBarFixedCentered',
                            and centered in its parent container.
            MenuBarFullwidth - Grows to fill its parent container width.
        In general, all rules specified in this file are prefixed by #MenuBar so they only apply to instances of the widget inserted along
       with the rules. This permits use of multiple MenuBarBasic widgets onthe same page with different layouts. Because of IE6 limitations,
        there are a few rules where this was not possible. Those rules are so noted in comments.

    /* IE6 rules - you can delete these if you do not want to support IE6 */
    /* A note about multiple classes in IE6.
    * Some of the rules above use multiple class names on an element forselection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and "has a subMenu"(MenuItemWithSubMenu),
    * giving the selector '.MenuItemWithSubMenu.MenuItemHover'.
    * Unfortunately IE6 does not support using mutiple classnames in aselector for an element. For a selector such as '.foo.bar.baz', IE6ignores
    * all but the final classname (here, '.baz'), and sets thespecificity accordingly, counting just one of those classs assignificant. To get around this
    * problem, we use the plugin in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js to generate compound classnames for IE6, such as 'MenuItemWithSubMenuHover'.
    * Since there are a lotof these needed, the plugin does not generate the extra classes formodern browsers, and we use the CSS2 style mutltiple class
    * syntax for that. Since IE6 both applies rules where
    * it should not, and gets the specificity wrong too, we have to order rules carefully, so the rule misapplied in IE6 can be overridden.
    * So, we put the multiple class rule first. IE6 will mistakenly apply this rule.  We follow this with the single-class rule that it would
    * mistakenly override, making sure the  misinterpreted IE6 specificity is the same as the single-class selector, so the latter wins.
    * We then create a copy of the multiple class rule, adding a '.SpryIsIE6' class as context, and making sure the specificity for
    * the selector is high enough to beat the single-class rule in the "both classes match" case. We place the IE6 rule at the end of the
    * css style block to make it easy to delete if you want to drop IE6 support.
    * If you decide you do not need IE6 support, you can get rid of these,as well as the inclusion of the SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.jsscript.
    * The 'SpryIsIE6' class is placed on the HTML element by the script in SpryMenuBarIEWorkaroundsPlugin.js if the browser isInternet Explorer 6. This avoids the necessity of IE conditionalcomments for these rules.

    Hi Nancy:
    The specific code that I am referring to is the CSS code governing the styling of the spry menu widget that only works in IE 6 if, and only if, it remains in the head of the web page.  If removed and placed in a stylesheet, the IE plugins fail to compensate for the IE 6 "gap" bug.  As I said, it doesn't make sense to me that, assuming specificity is addressed, that these can not be included in an external style sheet.  I am looking for a) an explanation why they must remain embedded in the web page; and 2) any means by which I might be able to export them.
    I will reproduce the specific css style (code) below:  it should also be visable through reveal source --
    Thanks again, Steve Webster.
    The CSS governing the horizontal menu bar is as follows:  (currently the following CSS is embedded in the head of the web page)
    <style type="text/css">
    /*  -- Begins Spry Menu Widget 2.0 (1.0) Horizontal menu bar Custom styles --  */
    /* BeginOAWidget_Instance_2141544: #MenuBar */
    #MenuBar  {
        background-color:transparent;
       font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; /* Specify fonts on onMenuBar and subMenu MenuItemContainer, so MenuItemContainer,
                                                    MenuItem, and MenuItemLabel
                                                    at a given level all use same definition for ems.
                                                    Note that this means the size is also inherited to child submenus,
                                                    so use caution in using relative sizes other than
                                                    100% on submenu fonts. */

    widget instance, we have used string-concatenated classnames for our selectors for the layout type of the menubar
    in this section. These have very low specificity, so be careful not to accidentally override them. */

    /* IE6 rules - you can delete these if you do not want to support IE6 */
    /* A note about multiple classes in IE6.
    * Some of the rules above use multiple class names on an element forselection, such as "hover" (MenuItemHover) and "has a subMenu"(MenuItemWithSubMenu),
    * giving the selector '.MenuItemWithSubMenu.MenuItemHover'.

  • Tabs y-axis offset on TabNavigator

    Is there a property in the CSS that allows me to move upwards
    and downwards the tabs when styling a TabNavigator in Flex Builder
    3?
    I am having a problem where the tabs of the TabNavigator do
    not join with the body of the TabNavigator when skinning the them.
    I need a way to adjust the tabs's y-axis offset of the tabs so that
    they join with the body of the whole TabNavigator.
    Thanks

    Thanks, Peter.
    Well, I am not too sure if it is a bug. I have taken a
    screenshot of the problem.
    http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/1830/tabproblemhc4.gif
    The tabs do not align with the body of the TabNavigator. This
    is the code in my CSS when skinning the component:
    TabNavigator.contentTabNavigator
    selectedTabTextStyleName: tabNavigatorSelectedTabText;
    tabStyleName: tabNavigatorTab;
    cornerRadius: 0;
    borderSkin:
    Embed(source="../images/skins/TabNavigator_borderSkin.png",scaleGridTop="26",scaleGridLef t="27",scaleGridRight="479",scaleGridBottom="467");
    tabOffset: 5;
    .tabNavigatorTab
    upSkin:
    Embed(source="../images/skins/TabNavigator_middleTabsSkin.png",scaleGridTop="34",scaleGri dLeft="16",scaleGridRight="122",scaleGridBottom="57");
    themeColor: #6A6A6A;
    cornerRadius: 15;
    Is there anything wrong on my part?

  • How to use offset and multiplier property in waveform graph?

    hello,
    i m using a waveform graph and wanted to update its x-axis scale depending on the multiplier value. Also how this
    formula of offset n multiplier works (deltaX)*X+X0? What is delta X and X?
    Regards,
    vijtin
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    hi,
    X0 is the offset and X is the multiplier.  So the graph will start at a cetain offset and will aa to that the delta value times the multiplier.
    e.g.
    If you would have these normal X-values : 0 ; 1 ; 2 ; 3 ; 4 ; 5 and a multiplier of 2 and ofset of 5 you would get the result on the X-as = 5 ; 7 ; 9 ; 11 ; 13
    Hope this helps
    Kind regards,

  • Variable CalMonth Offset and simultaneous Calyear Filter

    Hello,
    I used a variable (user entry) to determine Calmonth, and then I used offsets of the variable to restrict keyfigures and display them in 4 colums, one for each of the 4 quarters preceding calmonth as follows:
    1) calmonth-11 to calmonth-9
    2) calmonth-8 to calmonth-6
    3) calmonth-5 to calmonth-3
    4) calmonth-2 to calmonth
    The problem is that I want also to restrict the keyfigures (and/or the hole query) to the year of calmonth (I dont want to take into accounth the values of the keyfigures if the offset 'falls' the year before).
    Example:
    Calmonth = 06.2007
    Then:
    1) calmonth-11 to calmonth-9 = 07.2006 to 09.2006
    2) calmonth-8 to calmonth-6 = 10.2006 to 12.2006
    3) calmonth-5 to calmonth-3 = 01.2007 to 03.2007
    4) calmonth-2 to calmonth = 04.2007 to 06.2007
    I only want to take into account the values of the key-figures for 2007: 3) and 4).
    So columns corresponding to 1) and 2) should be empty...
    To do so, I have a variable (exit) for calyear that takes the value of the year of calmonth.
    I then additionally restricted the keyfigures with my calyear variable, and I also put the calyear variable in the Filters of the query.
    I also put caracteristic Calyear on top of the columns (before the keyfigures).
    My problem is that on the layout, in the example below, I have all the colums for 2006 and all the columns for 2007, (at least filled with the good values: 2006 has values only for 1) and 2), and 2007 has values only for 3) and 4)).
    But I don't want to have all the 2006 part on my report (having 2006 makes me have a lot of additional rows that are empty on 2007)...
    Why doesn't my simultaneous restriction on keyfigures (calmonth with offsets AND calyear) work?
    Why, if I have a filter on calyear : 2007, I have columns corresponding to 2006?
    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Andrea

    Thanks for your answer. In fact, my problem is not just having the comlums for 2006 but the fact that <u>they're not blank</u>... I've got values on it and that makes my results wrong (For example, I created a column using a SUMGT of another column/keyfigure, and it seems to take into account values of the keyfigure for 2006 AND 2007 => in the the 2007 part of the query. I just want a sumgt of 2007 in 2007...).

    I5 still using ios6 as of last night the phone will not connect to my Internet, in settings it says connected with the check mark however there is no wifi icon at the top of phone, have done everything possible to resolve... My i4 and pads are fine, I've had this phone for 8 months with no problems until last night , AT&amp;T not any help,apple wants $ I thing it's a software problem.. Any one had this issue?

    - Restart the device. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    - Reset the device. (Same article as above.)
    - Reset All Settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings)
    - Restore from backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766 (If you don't have a backup, make one now, then skip to the next step.)
    - Restore as new device. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137  For this step, do not re-download ANYTHING, and do not sign into your Apple ID.
    - Test the issue after each step.  If the last one does not resolve the issue, it is likely a hardware problem.

    I am not able to launch FF everytime i try to open it, it says FF has to submit a crash report,and restore yr tabs. I even tried doing that and the report was submitted too, but still FF did not start, and the problem still persists, please help me solve this issue

    Hi Danny,
    Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
    but not 180, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
    =COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
    or
    =SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))
    If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • BOSD, Battery issues and Heating problem after iOS 8 upgrade

    i have upgraded my iPad mini to iOS 8. Ever since I upgraded to iOS 8 am facing blue screen issues and heating problem as well. This is really frustrating even the patch iOS 8.0.2 dint solve the problem. Are you guys listening our complaints. When will you fixing it.

    The same thing happened to me on my 2012 Subaru Outback.  I'm not sure this will help you since you have a Honda, but I'm posting this just in case.
    I paired the audio on my car with my iPhone 6.  However, when I turned the car off and back on again, the iPhone would not pair automatically.  I had to manually connect the iPhone with the car.  Turns out there are two separate bluetooth pairings on my car: one for phone which allows up to 5 devices and one for audio which allows only one device.  So I did the second bluetooth pairing for the phone (had already done the audio), and that fixed it.  YMMV

    I am making code to try to make a game and my problem is that my code

    Another problem is that I would like it to attack with out me telling it how much times to attack. I am using Object oriented programming.

              System.out.println("RockCrab hit: " +instance2.done);
              System.out.println("rockCrabs health: " + instance1.health);
    }when the code is run it says something like this:
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 9
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 38
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 8
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 31
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 7
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 24
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 6
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 17
    my point is whatever some one hits it always repeats that
    my expected output would have to be something like
    you hit 1
    RockCrabs health is 9
    RockCrab hit 9
    your health is 37
    you hit 3
    RockCrabs health is 6
    RockCrab hit 4
    your health is 33
    you hit 2
    RockCrabs health is 4
    RockCrab hit 7
    your health is 26
    you hit 3
    RockCrabs health is 1
    RockCrab hit 6
    your health is 20

    [_Crosspost_|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5390217] I'm locking.

  • Remote and IR Problem

    A rather odd and annoying problem has recently been occuring on my MBP. A couple days ago my remote (after working without fail for over a year now) suddenly stopped working. Yesterday night and this morning it started working again but after a while it stopped again. I've read dozens of support articles which haven't really helped because there seems to be another problem.
    Most articles have stated that there is an option to disable the IR receiver in the "security" window under system preferences. When the IR and remote are not working this option disappears but when they are working the option is present. I have also tried replacing the battery without any result.
    I am now thinking that it might have something to do with heat buildup because it is mainly occuring after the laptop has been on for about a half hour, so I am going to try to borrow someone's fan.
    If anyone has any suggestions to solve this I would appreciate it if you could help. Thanks!
    MacBook Pro 1.83 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    check out this thread. Seems to be the same problem.

    Click here: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
    SIgn in with your Apple ID, the same one you used to access this support forum.
    Hopefully, you will see a list of all the devices you registered with your Apple ID, including their serial numbers. Let me know how this works out.
    Edit to add: If you enabled "find my imac" on your Pro, you ought to be able to remotely lock it, or even wipe its memory. Click http://www.icloud.com/ sign in with your Apple ID and click the big green "find my iPhone" icon (nevermind the name, it will find all your devices provided they're running Lion or iOS 5).
    Then file a police report and nail the b*****d.

  • LG Ally text message and gps problems

    hello. ive been with verizon for about 10 years maybe. ive been overall happy with the service and customer service. but the prices should be alot lower.lol. i started out with the motorolas then switched to the lg phones. only problem with the motorola was the speakers. not loud enough. could never hear the phone ring. the lgs usually suffer from the same problem.
    i had a few phone problems but nothing like this lg ally. im on my second one and about to be my 3rd one in about 3 months. 1st phone i had every problem under the sun. this phone i am suffering from text message problems and gps problems. i suffer from what everyone else has problems with. the messages wont send. they will eventually lock up. it will show the envelope with the red explanation point ( i think thats the graphic). then usually everytime when i sent a text the texts will close. it will send then bounce back and show up as a draft and i have to resend it and wait for it to go thru. finally the last problem with the texts. when i send a text a phone number from my contacts shows up and freezes on the screen. its in white text with a black background. its the same number every time. it stays on the screen until i restart or pull my battery out.
    gps. when i open up google gps that comes with the phone i make sure the gps is on... when the directions are found and the map pops up 9 out of 10 times it just keeps saying searching for gps. the turn by turn never is found. the 1 time it does it takes a good 10 minutes to be found. atleast on my first one ally the gps did work 8 out of 10 times. it just took a good 5-10 minutes for gps to be found and show turn by turn.
    anyone else have these problems? where you able to fix them or did you need to get a new phone? the 2.1 update was supposed to fix problems. i think they just made it worse. the ally is supposed to have 2.2 froyo. where is it. is it ever going to get it. i got this phone because i like the lgs and the keyboard. also the sales representative on the phone was giving the lg ally rave reviews. why couldnt he say dont buy this go with a motorola droid. this phone is the biggest junk ever made

    I do apologize you are having trouble with your device I looked in our information system on the LG Ally in reguards to issues you are having it states if you have the Free Droid Security anti virus protection application down loaded it will cause the phone to lock up or freeze. Check and make sure you do not have the application on your device. Check you GPS settings and make sure correct. Go to Settings; Location & Security; make sure GPS is on wireless network. If this does not fix issue you can try doing a Master Reset on your device. Make sure your contacts are saved in your G-mail account or through Back Up Assistance.
    Master Reset/Soft Reset:
    Factory Reset option 1
    From the main screen, touch menu tab
    Touch Settings
    Touch Privacy
    Touch Factory Data reset
    Touch Reset Phone
    Warning: This will erase all data from your phone, including:
    Your Google account
    System and application data and settings
    Downloaded Applications
    It will not erase: Current System software and bundled applications; SD Card files, such as music or Photos
    Factory Reset option 2  - Warning this will reset device back to original factory settings.
    Turn off the phone
    Press and hold "home" + "end" + "volume up or down" keys together for a few seconds when the device is power off
    Once device displays boot information, release keys.
    Soft Reset
    Press the Power key.
    Touch Power off.
    Touch OK.
    Press the Power key to power on the device.
    or
    Remove battery cover, remove battery and reinstall.Also there is a new update for LG Ally it will be the Froyo 2.2 but there is not release date available at this time it will post on your device when available. Hope this Helps. Leslie
