Ayuda, comunicacion serial y webcam

Saludos

  • Kernel 3.16 webcam shows black image

I have a Cisco VTCamera3 (a rebadged Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000). After upgrading to 3.16 the camera always displays a black picture. I tried downgrading to 3.15.8-1 and it functioned properly. Some debug info on 3.16:

Nothing new on linux-uvc-devel mailing list since Aug 7.
I followed some other instructions, attempted to adjust the exposure value but the problem persisted:

  • My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam on Windows 7 (HP Pavilion dv2660se)

Hi, I bought this laptop from someone I know, and Windows 7 came with it. I must say I don't know much about electronics. The built-in webcam won't work, either on CyberLink YouCam or on MSN Messenger. On CyberLink Youcam, it says no webcam is detected. In the control panel it doesn't even say there's a webcam, but there's an 'unknown peripheric' though. What can I do? P.S.: Please forgive english mistakes if there's any.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. My webcam was working for months but I recently had the laptop sent for repairs for something else, and I've just noticed since having it back that the webcam isn't detected. When going into the webcam program it says there is no webcam detected and for integrated cameras, make sure it is switched on. I've also had an unknown USB device notification flashing up but when I investigate in Device Manager I have in 'Sound, video and game controllers' Cyberlink Youcam virtual driver installed and 'functioning properly' Also in USB devices there is a usb not functioning properly "Universal Serial Bus Controllers / (Standard USB Host controller) / Port_#0002.Hub_#0003" and 'no drivers have been loaded for this device'. It's unknown but when I choose to search  manually for driver updates the path it directs me to is C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\NICDRV_8169\win7    'Windows has stopped this device as it has reported problems (Code 43)' Does anyone know what I might be able to do? I've tried reinstalling the Webcam driver but apparent from that I don't really know where to go.... Thanks

  • XPS L502X integrated webcam won't start, error message "Close the other video streaming applications to start video"

Hello, i've been working with this issue for more than a week now. Have tried all the solutions on the net without any success.
Windows 7 home premium x64 is installed on the machine.
When trying to use any application using camera shows up a message, that webcam is used by another application. This pops up on Skype and Dell Webcamcentral. Ms Silverlight shows black screen, no message. The device is present under imaging devices in device manager. The driver installed is Microsoft 6/21/2006 ver. 6.1.7601.18208, status "device is working properly". Driver files: ksthunk.sys, usbvideo.sys and ctclsflt.sys after installing webcam central.
    Here is what i tried:
    1. Installing drivers from Dell.com in the correct order
    2. Uninstalling webcam driver and letting windows install the driver from windows update.
    3. Uninstalling windows driver and installing Quanta webcam driver before restart. Note, that in all 3 steps quanta driver never showed up in driver details in device manager.
    4. Uninstalled skype.
4.Uninstalled all "usb root" in device manager, restarted, windows installed it's drivers, installed Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam SW RC1.1_ R230103.
    5. Uninstalled Webcamcentral, downloaded and installed ver 6.1 Skype.
    6. Started windows in a clean boot state.
    7. Installed process observer. Webcam is used only by skype, but skype gives "camera used by another app" error message.
    8. Turned off laptop, removed ac power and battery, pressed power on button for 30 secs.
    9. Tried to update driver through device manager - driver is up to date.
    10. Reinstalled windows and installed chipset drivers + wireless drivers and let the windows update. Then installed all Dells drivers in the correct order.
    11. Restored to the point before windows update and installed Dell drivers in the correct order.
    12. Restored to the point after windows update again. Installed ms Silverlight, camera shows black screen. Room is light, tried a sheet of white paper close to the camera.
    13. Tried different skype versions again, uninstalled skype.
    14. Process observer shows that nothing uses webcam. Supportassist shows failure in webcam at all checkup stages. Supportassist suggests to turn of programs that might be using camera.
    15. Tried all the steps before windows reinstall.
    16. I gave up and ask for your help.
    Here is Supportassist diagnostics log:

    Iqb,
    Make a system restore point.
Start, control panel, device manager, Go to the USB Controller section and click the + sign. Go to each USB Root Hub. right click on it, left click uninstall.
Restart your computer. When you login, the new hardware wizard will reinstall everything. Please be patient, it could take up to 2 minutes.
Try the webcam and see if it works.
If no, then the webcam became detached from the motherboard, usually near the webcam

  • Webcam, USB Ports stopped working suddenly

    Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone can help me, my webcam and all USB ports have suddenly all stopped working. Yesterday my mouse light was flickering but still working and today the same mouse won't light up at all. I tried with a different mouse and it would light up
but is not recognized by the computer and unusable. I tried both mice on a different computer and they work just fine. I also tried a few more devices with my usb ports and realized they don't work at all.
I was browsing the net yesterday and I tried the following suggestions already to no success:
    1. Turned computer off --> pulled out battery --> pulled out power chord --> Pushed power button for 30 sec --> put everything back and turned computer back on
    2. Ran sfc /scannow and ran chkd
    3. Tried system restore to the last date I remembered my mouse working
    4. Went to Device Manager --> uninstalled everything under Universial Serial Bus Controllers --> restarted computer
    5. Installed any critical updates for windows
    6. Tried deleting/renaming the INFCACHE.1 file but even after creating a new permission group (Administrator) with full control it put an x on it and wouldn't let me
    7. Ran Microsoft's automated troubleshooter
Really not sure what to do now....has anyone else been in a similar situation and can offer any suggestions? I am using an HP laptop (HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC) running Windows 7.
Is something broken with my hardware or am I just suddenly missing some drivers?

  • Driver only for the HD 4110 webcam...do not install suite in Win 8.1

    Dear Readers:
I mistakenly installed the software suite for the 4110 webcam on a win 8.1 pc and the camera cannot deliver a good image. (I think this is due to the fact that the win 8 platform is not supported for this camera, unless in compatibility mode.) The rest of the software programs seem okay, it's just the camera is a mess.
Anyway I plan to install it on a HP win7 desktop but only want the camera working not the suite. I plan to use the cam with Handy AVI and maybe Blue Iris.
Any pointers on finding just the drivers? Should I have windows do a search for them?
    Hope you can help.
    Thanks,
    Bill

  • Cannot use webcam on my Satellite A300

    Hi there
I have installed Windows 7 home premium in my laptop (it had windows Vista) and ever since I can't use my webcam.
It doesn't appear in device manager and I have install and uninstall many times the drivers but every time I see the message that says that the camera is either disconnected or destroyed and restart the camera or the computer.
Is there a way to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance.....
My laptop is Satellite A300-20W with model number PSAGCE-09N00DGE and serial number 29353297Q

    > i want to know if the problem can be easily solved so i can solve it or it is difficult...if it is difficult or i need to exchange camera i won't do anything..
Its always difficult to disassemble the notebook. Its not like a disassembling of desktop PCs. If you never disassembled such notebook, I would not recommend doing this because you could damage other parts. I think you should ask an specialist to check if the cable is lose or not.
    > how can i install the original vista recovery image??
Well, you have to use the Toshiba Recovery disk. If you did not create such disk, then you will need to order such disk from Toshiba. Check some threads in the Product Recovery forum.
    > do i need to remove windows 7
Yes, the recovery disk will format the whole HDD and would remove also the Win 7 system. All your data would be deleted so backup the data before doing such things.

  • Acrobat stopped and doesn't recognize serial nr. any more

I have design Suite Standard installed on Windows 7 (62-bit). Acrobat suddenly stopped working. Everything else in the Suite works fine. Several reboots didn't help, so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall (clicking on only Acrobat X). When I input the serial number, I got the message that the s/n was invalid. But it is correct.
This is not the first time I have had to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat X from the CS6 Suite. The program works fine on a second computer, which is the only other place the Suite is installed.
I have no other versions of Acrobat or the Reader installed. Also (and I suppose this is normal) among the Programs listed to Uninstall, Acrobat only stands on its own. The others are all under "Adobe Cretive Suite CS6".
      I am really stuck.

Some third-party software (such as security software, anti-virus software, and webcam drivers) may prevent iTunes from recognizing your iPhone. You may have to update your software, adjust software settings, or temporarily disable the software.
So focus on your antivirus software first and any webcam software or drivers that is launched and running automatically when your computer is launched that is not required or needed.

  • Using http live streaming to stream data from a Webcam

JavaFX 2.2 includes support for http live streaming: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Live_Streaming
How could one create a http live stream from a Webcam and thereby enable a JavaFX application to view and hear the Webcam video in realtime?

    Bom Dia Saille,
No entanto é necessário saber se o desenvolvedor do produto permitiu isso (Veja Using VI Server to Pass Data Between a VI and a LabVIEW Executable).
    Atenciosamente.

  • HP HD-4310 Webcam registration not recognised.

Sorry to double post this, you know how it is when you're running round.
    HP HD-4310 Webcam
I buy a product over the counter in the UK and register it with HP, I cannot download drivers as the HP UK site does not recognise the serial number I registered???
I pay out money but actually get nothing accept 3 hours unpaid work navigating the bloated complexity of "support" ???.

A predictable response, you get loads of "kudos" for that.
Where's the button for "No Kudos" then?

  • Thinkvision 2251 WEBCAM compatible with Thinkpad T60?

    Greetings,
Purchased a Lenovo Thinkvision Monitor with integrated Webcamera model L2251x 22" wide screen. Have a Thinkpad T60 laptop. After nearly 7 hours of online support, telephone support and researching customer forums, loading every driver I can find for the monitor and laptop, I'm down to a program called Lenovo Webcam Center by Intervideo. Driver from Lenovo website noted below:
    HYPERLINK "http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/options/mediaonegallery.exe
I am at the point where it asks me to enter the serial number for the software. As the webcamera came integrated with the Monitor, and the T60 had no webcam, I have no serial number. I checked out the Intervideo website to see what it would cost to get the SW license, but it says it is no longer sold. I would be willing to pay a nominal amount to get this webcam working.
Can I get a serial number for this old software? If I do, you think the T60 and 2251 Monitor are even capable/compatible for Webcam? Lenovo has been poor at support and this seems a common issue on the customer forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Painfuul 7 hours trying to figuure this out, anyone know?
Have loaded every driver I can find for Webcams from 2251 CD, Lenovo for both laptop and monitor and every forum link I could find. Down to this WEB gallery driver from INtervideo that seems no longer supported and stupms me at the SERIAL number during load as thwew 2251 didn't come with this (and the T60 had no cam to begin with).
    Any help appreciated.

  • [S10e-4187] Inconsistent webcam internal port connectivity

The problem is that the webcam reconnects all the time to the USB port, so the computer says that there is new hardware from time to time. Sometimes the webcam works after this and sometimes not - it also says that if I connect to an USB2 port it will work faster all the time.
Recently it hasnt work at all, I am suspecting the either the service pack to conflict with it, or maybe an hardware issue.
The computer is running: Windows XP Home Edition SERVICE PACK 3.
I have not updated any form of firmware on it.
    Hope someone here can help
    Regards

    Reminshi,
You mentioned that you never update any camera firmware but the camera connectivity seems to have problem. I would like to double confirm with you. Did your machine updated with any software or drivers, or windows update before you started to notice the webcam problem? Does the machine come with Win XP SP3 or you updated to SP3 by yourself?
I'm not sure the firmware in my hand would help but you can give it a try. I'll send you a private message later.
    Cheers,
    Cleo
