B1 Site User ID

Hi All,
Please can you tell me why is the SAP Business One 8.8 PL10 version asking me Password for "B1SiteUser" when I am trying to install a fresh copy of SAP Business One Server? I have uninstalled the previously installed SAP 8.81 version and am trying to install a fresh copy of SAP Business One 8.8 PL10.
Actually it should ask us to assign/create a new password for B1 Site User instead it is asking me to enter a password. Please can someone help me. My client wants this issue to be resolved by today itself.

Thanks for the reply. CCleaner didn't resolve the issue, but thanks for the idea of cleaning registry entries. actually my problem got solved because i needed to delete the existing files of SAP from C:\Program Files directory.

Things seem to have gone crazy here. I cannot log into the client site using my partner portal password and username.
My client user which I set up as an admin, is saying that she cannot upload images saying she doesn't have the authority to do that and she cannot import items, with a different message.
Also, I see now way to modify or delete her as a user from the partner portal. Going fom my portal to the client site to details.

There are any number of services. Just do some Google searching. There are services like Picassa, MediaFire, PhotoBucket, Tumblr, and many others. Just takes a little research on your part.

Sharepoint Site User name,created by and Modified field issue

I am being admin of sharepoint site . I have added a user to my sharepoint site from people and groups(Site Action-->Site Settings-->Users and Permissions-->People and Groups). So Now "Created by" and "Modified by" field should
show My login name(display name) in those fields Right ? But In those field it is showing user name whom I have added to my sharepoint site. I have added user to my site so My display name should be their in "created by" and "modified
by" field. Facing this issue on PROD and UAT.

Actually, the users have been added to the site groups or granted with permissions in Site Permissions, then the users will be added to the User Information List of the site collection.
I recommend to check if the users you added have already been listed in the User Information List.
If yes, then the Created By and Modified By fields have already been filled with other values.
Created By field will show the user name who is the first one to add the user to the site and the Modified By field will show the last one who edit the My Settings of that user.
To access the User Information List, you can type the URL like this:
http://server/_catalogs/users/detail.aspx.

Simplifying printers for multi-site users

Windows 2008 R2
Windows 7 Enterprise
Topology: Central network with about 50 users/computers and 5 servers. 25 remote sites, 2-4 users/computers per site (no servers at the sites). Each site also has one network printer.
Currently all sites have the same IP scheme (we use DirectAccess for file access so unique subnets are not required). All of the printers are the same model and have the same static IP. So no matter what site a roaming user goes to printing works with no
confusion.
Some new technology is being implemented that will require us to make unique subnets (which is actually desirable for obvious reasons). At the same time we will be implementing site-to-site VPNs, so there will be full connectivity to AD/central site.
So, here in lies the problem. Our super simple printing solution, now will not work. Some users roam to a dozen sites or more, will they have to have that many printers? Then they have to make sure to print to the one that is online/ready? Is there a GPO
setting to hide offline printers or something? I wouldn't care if there were 25 print queues as long as only available printers were displayed. I see that there is some location aware printing features of AD/W7, but I am concerned all the offline printers
will confuse users.
Any ideas?

Catalog for site users

Hi Guys,
In our site we are getting catalog data for all user including anonymous users also
Is catalog data shared for all users by defalult or we need to write any code for assigning them ?
Please give me clear picture on this

In multisite environment ATG assigns catalog to profile based on site defaultCatalog property, we don't need to worry about it, ContextValueRetriever will take care of it.
If u have only one catalog, u don't need to worry about catalog assigned it profile, I am still searching how atg assign default catalog in this case, may be scenario.
If u have more than one catalog, u need to assigning catalog to profile.
        It can be done through many ways: scenario, servlet pipeline(ProfilePropertyServlet)
        U follow any thing, Ultimately u'll be setting catalog property in profile.
     Do following and catalog will be assigned to profile as suggested below
     atg/commerce/catalog/CatalogTools
                 defaultCatalogId=UR_CATALOGID
     atg/commerce/util/ContextValueRetriever
               userProfile= true

In order for users to view a catalog, they must have that catalog assigned to their profile. The catalog assumes the existence of a catalog property for the user repository item. OEE Report Multi Site User Validation

The OEE Report allows a site to be selected.
Are there plans to implement a config so we can restrick which sites a user can select?

Obviously no. I don't have insider information, but I found out the report is still the same in SAP ME 6.0. Every UME user with roles SAP_XMII_Read_Only and Role_SAPMEINT or any other SAP_XMII_* role is allowed to execute the report and select all existing sites.

New Site Users

Please tell me I'm not being obtuse!
Just sent a site live. Client wants to use BC email. I want to use the V3 interface to set up users.
I realise that there are admin users and email users.
When I add the admin user, he will get an email to the effect:
"To complete your account setup and access the administration interface, please visit the following URL and create a password for this account:"
I don't think he can retrieve this email yet as he doesn't have a password set.
Do I need to add him as an email user first, sending the activaion email to an external address, and then add him as an admin user once he has set his password?

I also tried to ask Live Chat this morning and they didn't have a clue - I just wanted them to confirm what I thought.

Safari 2.0.3 in OS 10.4.5 only remembers site user name/password 25%

In previous OS Safari behaved itself, but in this version the "do you want Safari to remember your user name/password" only works about 25% of the time.
Ideas/explanations? BTW I have never used the keychain.
I have just about given up and reverted to having the different names and passwords in Stickies and enter them manually-- what a PITA!

Problem solved by using Firefox.

I have FF 3.6.15 on a Macbook with OS 10.6.6, I would like to find a way to add a site,user name & password to the "Saved Password" list by hand so that I don't have to rely on my memory.

Some websites block the FF password save feature. I would like a "work around" so that those sites are automatically sign-on.
There used to be a simple way to do this,but I have not found it in the current version of FF.

8.8 B1 Site User Password

Hi All,
I am installing 8.8 and I have not been given a prompt for the B1SiteUser, this been the case I not finish the install.
If I open up the Server Manager and go to the u2018license Manageru2019 I can see that I can re set this, however I do not know what the original / standard password is.
Can any one help me.

Thank you for your hint. I was having the same issue. It didnt prompt for B1site user password and also the radio button "Server Database Credentials" was grayed out in the solution proposed by Mario Schoenberg .
I deleted the folder server tools, re installed and it worked.

Having problems with hotmail and other sites.User arrow wont turn into the hand to click on some things. While in hotmail can't go back to inbox, have to reload each time I look at one of my e-mails, And cant write new e-mails VERY ANNOYED!!!

also on aol mail, Also tried to use the feedback part of this website but when it came to hit the submit button.... it wouldn't change into the hand to let me click... I had this problem as soon as I downloaded the new update, I then couldn't find a later version so I downloaded the 9 beta version it worked only for a while.... HELP!!!! I do not want to have to resort to explorer...

Uninstalled everything PA, also uninstalled mangler which was the only thing that depended on PA. It didn't work anyway.
No pulseaudio --kill command so I couldn't run.
Checked systemd journal and there is no mention of PA this time.
Checked top, and grepped ps aux and there is no PA there either.
I also rebooted the machine completely just to make sure. However VLC and HTML5 have the same incompatibilities.

How can i prevent my user in one site about financial report in other sites

we implement our project in 4 sites via Citrix and all of users works on head office database, we used Document Series to divide evey site financial/inventory/procurement transaction . for example one site's JE number start 1 to 1000000 and other site start form 1000001 to 2000000 . but we see all user can see financial report like TRial balance, General ledger for other site but selecting in extend option in report without viewing them in detail. How we can make constrain for this issue, I mean user in other site cannot see other JE in General ledger report by selecting documnet series in Extend option.

1) In your case, you assign Group (in Document Numbering>>>Series Set up) for each site.
For example:
Site 1: Group 1
Site 2: Group 2
2) Then, go to Authorization >>> General Authorization >>> Administration >>> System Initialization >>> Numbering series. Now, you grant full authorization in Series - Group No. x for site users.
For example:
Site 1 ' user:
     Series - Group No. 1: Full authorization
     Series - Group No. 2: No authorization
Site 2 ' user:
     Series - Group No. 1: No authorization
     Series - Group No. 2: Full authorization

ISE - Local site admin only has access to local users/devices?

Hi All,
I'm trying to configure ISE so that a local site administrator can only edit devices and users in his location, and only view reports/authentications for users at that location. I've tried setting the data access permissions to only view his location in all locations, but he can still view users authenticating on all devices.
Does anyone have any ideas how we can filter the reports so that he only sees his site users?

Cisco ISE 1.2 allows you to define role-based access control (RBAC) policies that allow or deny certain system-operation permissions to an administrator. Below is how you can assign roles, based on access to reports , to two different admins.
