B1if generate Zip file

Hello Experts,
Is there a way to generate an .ZIP file within a Step in B1if?
Basically I need to generata an ZIP file with documents created in B1if Step.
Thanks in advance.
Pierre

Thanks to Maria Trinidad from SAP I had what I want and I'm ready to share.
Here's how I made it work:
Generate your file/s
Read your file/s with a GetFile atom (in my case PDFs, so I use bin as Payload Type)
xsl:copy the GetFile payload into the predecessor of the StoreFile atom
Here is my Processing Flow:
GetFile atom details:
the xform (atom2.xsl) transformation:
<xsl:template name="transform">
<bfa:io pltype="zip">
<bfa:zipentry
entryname="test.pdf" dataset="" group="" docname="" alias="" pltype="bin" properties="">
<xsl:copy-of select="/vpf:Msg/vpf:Body/vpf:Payload[./@id='atom3']/bfa:io" />
</bfa:zipentry>
</bfa:io>
</xsl:template>
StoreFile atom details:
et Voilà I've got a freshly new test0000.zip file containing test.pdf in my c:/tmp directory.
This scenario step is not performing like a flash because of bin to char conversion so use your precautions, anyway it did the work fine for me.
Thanks again Maria for helpful info, hope this can help.
Regards
Pierre

• Split a ZIP File in smaller Chunks / payloads on ECC 6.0 (NOT PI)

I call a external web service directly from ECC6.0. In one of the proxy class's methods I need to send a zip file. I can generate ZIP file using SAP supplied class. The file size of this zip file 150 MB and I want to break this file in smaller chunks say 2 MB chunks. Is there a FM / Class / some way to break this file into smaller chunks?
Appreciate your inputs
Thanks,

Hi Vikram,
You can use the FM DX_SPLIT_FILE to split the zip file.

• How to set password for a zip file?

I am able to add files to a zip file using java.util.zip.ZipOutputStream. I'd like to set password for the generated zip file, but could not find any relevant API in JDK doc.
How to do that in Java? Maybe using a third party library?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

Thanks bro, I am looking at the Zip4J :) one of its feature is "Read/Write password protected Zip files" :)

Hi,
I am using ZIP API in Web Dynpro JAVA for multiple file download scenario.
Issue:--->

Example-1: some PDF files gives out message that " "

• Zip File using oracle

Hi Guys. Is there any knows how to zip a file using oracle? I really need to know how. Pls help.
Thanks in advance.

When I've needed to generate ZIP files in Oracle, I've written a Java stored procedure to do so. You may also be able to use the [UTL_COMPRESS package|http://download-west.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/u_compr.htm#BGBEJIEJ] depending on the Oracle version and exactly what you're trying to accomplish.

• How to zip all the files generated using file adapter

Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario in place where i split a message into multiple messages. I used to generate multiple file using the file name present in the payload of the splitted message using variable substitution.
This is working fine.
Now the requirement has changed and i want to zip all these file and create a single zip file.
I think it could be done using run OS command option in file adapter, but have no clue how to do it.
Please help me.
Regards
Rahul Nawale

Hi,
you can use on of the command line ZIP utilities:
http://www.winzip.com/prodpagecl.htm
http://www.7-zip.org/
then when your file adapter puts the file
you can use commnad line to zip the files

• Cannot open zip file generated with java

Hello everybody !
I work on a web application ( servlet, JSP... ).
I generate a zip file containing only one file corresponding to a JSP page but when I try to open it thanks to Winzip 8.0, I have the following message :
Error : invalid compressed data to inflate.
The zipped file is not empty, does anybody know what is the problem, here is the source code of my servlet :
public void trt (HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse res) throws ServletException, IOException
URL l_JspPage;
String temp;
ByteArrayOutputStream l_ByteArrayOutputStream = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
ZipOutputStream l_ZipOutputStream = new ZipOutputStream(l_ByteArrayOutputStream);
l_ZipOutputStream.setMethod(ZipOutputStream.DEFLATED);
ServletOutputStream out = res.getOutputStream();
ServletContext servletContext = getServletContext();
if ((temp=req.getParameter("url"))!=null)
try
l_JspPage = new URL(temp);
DataInputStream l_DataInputStream = new DataInputStream(l_JspPage.openStream());
int l_iBufferSize = l_DataInputStream.available();
byte l_byJspPageData[] = new byte[l_iBufferSize];
l_DataInputStream.read(l_byJspPageData, 0, l_iBufferSize);
l_ZipOutputStream.putNextEntry(new ZipEntry("file.html"));
l_ZipOutputStream.write(l_byJspPageData,0,l_iBufferSize);
l_ZipOutputStream.closeEntry();
l_ZipOutputStream.finish();
String zip=l_ByteArrayOutputStream.toString();
res.setContentType("application/zip");
res.setHeader("Content-Disposition","inline; filename=output.zip;");
out.println(zip);
out.flush();
Thanks for your help.

Your code is somewhat obscure, but it appears that you are writing a zip file to a byte array, converting the byte array to a string, and writing the string to "out" - whatever that is.
I'm not sure why you are going through all this, but in any case the string conversion is probably a wrong step. Zipping results in binary data, and string conversion will probably result in changes to the binary values.

• Problems with CRC in some windows app's whit zip files generated with Java

Hello,
That is very strange but, we have an app for compressing a folder into a zip. For making, we use the Java.Util.Zip API. Our zip file looks fine, we can unzip the files into another folder without problems, even we can open the file with Winzip or Winrar.
But, we had encountered problems with anothers win apps like "Recovery ToolBox", or another win app built with the "Dynazip.dll" library. This apps give us the next error.
"Bad Crc".
But if we unzip this "corrupt" file and we zip the content again, all work without errors.
[http://img297.imageshack.us/i/dibujoou.jpg/]
Our code (this function only zips a single file):
public static File zipFile(String sFile, String sNameFileIn, String sFileOut)
throws IOException {
File file = new File(sFile);
FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(sFileOut);
FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream(file);
byte[] fileContent = new byte[(int) file.length()];
fin.read(fileContent);
ByteArrayOutputStream bout = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
ZipOutputStream zout = new ZipOutputStream(bout);
ZipEntry zipEntry = new ZipEntry(sNameFileIn);
zout.putNextEntry(zipEntry);
zout.write(fileContent, 0, fileContent.length);
zout.closeEntry();
zout.finish();
zout.flush();
zout.close();
out.write(bout.toByteArray());
out.flush();
out.close();
File fich = new File(sFileOut);
fin.close();
return fich;
}I try to calculate the crc number for my own without success... I don't know what's happening
Thanks in advance

FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(sFileOut);ZipOutputStream zout = new ZipOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(sFileOut));
byte[] fileContent = new byte[(int) file.length()];Here you are assuming the file size is <= Integer.MAX_VALUE. What if it isn't? Remove.
fin.read(fileContent);Here you are assuming you filled the buffer. There is nothing in the API specification to warrant that assumption. Remove. See below.
ByteArrayOutputStream bout = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
ZipOutputStream zout = new ZipOutputStream(bout);Remove.
ZipEntry zipEntry = new ZipEntry(sNameFileIn);
zout.putNextEntry(zipEntry);Correct.
zout.write(fileContent, 0, fileContent.length);int count;
byte[] buffer = new byte[8192];
while ((count = fin.read(buffer)) > 0)
zout.write(buffer, 0, count);
zout.closeEntry();Correct.
zout.finish();
zout.flush();Redundant but not incorrect.
zout.close();Correct.
out.write(bout.toByteArray());
out.flush();
out.close();Remove.
File fich = new File(sFileOut);
fin.close();
return fich;I don't know why this method returns a File constructed out of one of its own arguments, which the caller could equally well do for himself, otherwise OK.

• Adogjf Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP error while patching

Hi,
I'm upgrading my version of Java from 1.3.1_19 to 1.5.0_17. I downloaded the jdk-1_5_0_17-linux-i586.bin file and unpackaged it to /u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0. It unpackaged it to a new directory jdk1.5.0_17 (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17), whereas the old version is in a directory jdk (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk).
Having done that I had to run an interoperability patch (4372996). Upon running this patch I received an error at the end:
adogjf() Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP
There were no other errors.
I think the problem has to do with where my new java version is located but I'm not sure. I'm thinking that it's still looking under the old JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk) when I want it to look under the new JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17). So, should I move the contents from the new directory (jdk1.5.0_17) to the old directory (jdk) or is there a way to 'point' it to the new JAVA_TOP.
Please let me know if I'm totally off base and there's another solution. We're currently on EBS 11.5.10.2, DB 10.2.0.4 and RHEL 4 Update 5.
Thanks,
Lia.

Here you go. Hope this helps you to help me :-). Thanks.

• NCS reports email as zip files

I recently migrated from WCS to NCS and since the migration all the reports are being sent inside a zip file. I remember having this issue when I first installed WCS many years ago, however I am unsure what was done to correct it. I have checked the Administration section of NCS to try and find the setting but no luck or within the Report Launch pad on any of the migrated reports or the new reports.
I don't want them sent as zip files but as either native CSV or PDF as specified within the appropriate report. The reports are never that big to need compressing into a zip plus the mail server they send through will accept up to 20-25MB attachments which is much greater than the native size of any of the reports generated through NCS or WCS.

I agree, I email quite a few csv reports and the file size is typically under 1k. It is strange they don't making the zip file an option instead of doing it mandantory with every e-mail. I find it very cumbersome when dealing with 10 - 12 reports and having to unzip every file first.

• One Orchestration for Multiple ZIP file FTP Solution.

Problem:
Zip files are being generated from multiple locations on my network. I do not need to see any information in the Zip files. My goal is to pick up the files and transfer them to various external FTP servers.
Solution:
BizTalk picks up the zip file using a pass-through(file) receive port. I created an orchestration because I would like to send email based on failure/success. Inside the orchestration I am using the receive port information to assign the destination party.
The send port then filters based on destination party and sends to external FTP server.
This gives me the ability to have 1 orchestration for multiple transfers. I wanted it to be as generic as possible.
1 Orchestration - 10+ Receive Locations - 8+ External FTP Sites.
Question:
Has anyone done this before? What should I watch out for? Do I have a good solution to my problem?

Yes ,
This is totally a valid business scenario were you have multiple publisher of the message and there are different subscriber( FTP sites ) for your processed message .
You can have multiple receive location inside the same receive port and also multiple send port for different message subscription .
So ,Its all good from your side :)
Thanks|

I don't know what those programs you mention do....but,
You should have the free version of Stuffit Expander installed on your system. It is available from Smith Micro here:
