Back to English Lang at reboot, Fastest way to start WM, Yaourt error

Hi guys I need some help,
I installed arch yesterday. I set every thing to "Turkish" i had no problems till this morning. I started my computer and the language was back to english.
# /etc/rc.conf - Main Configuration for Arch Linux
# LOCALIZATION
# LOCALE: available languages can be listed with the 'locale -a' command
# HARDWARECLOCK: set to "UTC" or "localtime", any other value will result
# in the hardware clock being left untouched (useful for virtualization)
# TIMEZONE: timezones are found in /usr/share/zoneinfo
# KEYMAP: keymaps are found in /usr/share/kbd/keymaps
# CONSOLEFONT: found in /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts (only needed for non-US)
# CONSOLEMAP: found in /usr/share/kbd/consoletrans
# USECOLOR: use ANSI color sequences in startup messages
LOCALE="tr_TR.UTF-8"
HARDWARECLOCK="UTC"
TIMEZONE="Europe/Istanbul"
KEYMAP="trq"
CONSOLEFONT=
CONSOLEMAP=
USECOLOR="yes"
[/quote]
[color=#FF0000]
In my locale.gen is only turkish uncommented.
What is the fastest way to get the WM loaded. I'm not using a login manager but i won't every time type "xinit /usr/bin/openbox-session". I will autologin and autoload the WM.
xinitrc will open a security hole because it won't lock the virtual terminal and I'm not sure if a bash script is the right way.  What would you suggest?
The last time I installed yaourt I had the problem that it couldn't find any packages from the AUR. Do I have to do someting to make it work after I installed it? I tried it out-of-box.
And if somebody is right now using ubuntu can he give me the screenshots for the font settings in firefox and gnome font settings (right click menu settings).
Thanks to everyone who wants to help or just look at this thread.

Happy new year everybody
I just solved the locale problem. If someone (like me) will use the autostart.sh in the official openbox site will get this error. Look at this:
# Run the system-wide support stuff
. $GLOBALAUTOSTART
# Programs to launch at startup
hsetroot ~/wallpaper.png &
xcompmgr -c -t-5 -l-5 -r4.2 -o.55 &
# SCIM support (for typing non-english characters)
export LC_CTYPE=ja_JP.utf8
export XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
export GTK_IM_MODULE=scim
export QT_IM_MODULE=scim
scim -d &
# Programs that will run after Openbox has started
(sleep 2 && fbpanel) &
I removed the ja_JP.utf-8 and this problem was solved. Thanks for @Cedeel and @karol for their help.
Now I still don't know in which  way I should load my openbox. Details in the first post

  • How to set phone keypad lang back to English?

    Hello all,
    Yesterday had to restore my iPhone 6 plus 'cause it was taking forever to sync new songs into it. Anyway the restore and sync were success.
    Then I discovered this little oddity (see attached pic).
    If I add a new contact > add a new number > tap the + * # key (to get the + sign), you notice above the * and # keys the two keys (4 & 6 position) are in Chinese, how to I change them back to English?
    Thanks.

    How long your phone rings before going to voicemail is usually a setting the carrier can change on your account.  Give your carrier's Customer Service department a call and see if they can extend the ring time.
    As for text notification:
    You can set a longer tone by going to Settings > Sounds > Text Tone and selecting a different tone option.  If you want multiple notifications if you recieve a message and keep ignoring your phone, you can get repeat notifications at two-minute intervals by going to Settings > Notification Center > Messages > Repeat Alerts and changing how many times it will repeat.

  • [SOLVED]LibreOffice changed language, can't turn back to english.

    Hi, so I installed LibreOffice about two weeks ago and it has worked just fine and dandy until today when I tried opening a Microsoft Word document, it loaded but the workspace was black with white letters and it's Afrikaans or something similar, my question is if there's a surefire way to change it back to english? I already tried uninstalling/reinstalling but had no luck with that, even if I open other documents or start a new one it's in that same strange configuration, could anyone help me with this, please?

    Wow, I don't know how or why, but I uninstalled LibreOffice, then the next day after a fresh reboot reinstalled it and it changed back to english !
    Still, thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, if this happens again I'll make sure to try out your suggestion.

  • Fastest way to read a 5MB textfile (200,000 lines)?

    My current code:
    String file = "";
    BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(new FileInputStream(filename)));
    while(in.ready()) file = file.concat(in.readLine());Unfortunately it is awfully slow (starting with 2,000 lines per second but dropping to like 100 lines per second over time). What is the fastest way to load the content of that file in a string and out of curiosity, why are my lines per second dropping?
    Thank you for your help!

    This is exactly what I've done - it's the fastest thing out there. One thing to comment on though: Using a BufferedInputStream is not necessary; BufferedInputStream only improves performance if you're doing inefficient reading (such as reading blocks by newlines). If you doubt what I'm saying set up a quick performance test bed and test it... I did this a while back which is why I know the truth :)I believe you. Thanks for the tip.
    In my case I needed the BIS because I only wanted to load the 40 MB audio file in 1 MB chunks at a time
    to process it and store it in my own representation.

  • Fastest way to view clips

    I have a hard drive camera and it creates hundreds of clips. I want to look at each clip and then create subclips. Is there a way to speed up the process of opening up each clip individually and then setting my in and out points? Can I put them all in viewer stacked up and then just exit the one I'm done with and go to the next? Any keyboard shortcuts anyone can recommend? I would rather not throw them all into the timeline, wait to export all the clips into one .mov file and then edit them that way, but I know that is an option. Any advice would help.

    use the keyboard. It's the fastest way. cmd-4 takes you to the browser, use the arrow keys to select the clip you want to view. Up and down arrows bring you from bin to bin, when a bin is selected. To open and enter a bin, use the left and right arrow. Once in the bin use the up and down arrows again to go up and down within the bin. Press the return key to load the clip in the viewer and the spacebar or "L" key to play. cmd-4 to go back to the browser and select another clip. If you want to rename a clip after you have watched it, press the Enter key (not the return key) and you will open the dialog box for the name. You can rip through the browser items without ever going to the mouse, which is what really slows you down.
    In addition, if you have Leopard you can use the Quicklook feature in the Finder window and just use the up and down arrows to cycle through the clips. You don't even need to press the spacebar because every time you arrow to a new clip it automatically plays. You don't even need to launch an application to view them.
    Just a couple of time saving features. If you have Adobe, you can use Bridge in the same way, but it's easier to name and add metadata to the clips before you import them into FCP.

  • Fastest Way to Render PDF from XML

    Hi
    I have used XSLTC(pre-compiled XSL files) to render PDFs.Parser i have used are the latest from XALAN.
    Using FOP 0.20.5
    Using JAXP 1.3 i am using the validate framework for validating XMLs against XSDs.
    This is the fastest approach which i could possibly come up with for rendering XMLs into PDFs
    I am just wondering..with so many API etc available is there any accepted fastest way of Rendering PDFs through XML.
    I mean this should also take into account the rendering capability of the transformers.
    Any insights would be welcome.
    Thanks.

    Logging and Capturing?  Or Logging and TRANSFERRING?  This being P2...I'll assume the latter.  It should take about a gig a min to transfer...the same time needed to back up a card.
    But you are L&T right from the camera...so I assume that you are not backing up the footage...just importing?  Why not back up?  That's step #1.  Unless you are backing up later.  Connected to the computer via USB or Firewire?  And the drive is connected to the computer how?  USB or Firewire?

  • Fastest way to activate the camera?

    What is the fastest way to activate the camera on the iPhone 3GS? (rather than pressing the on key; going to camera app;etc).

    As to another place to click, I am in some doubt there. When I updated, it was just one of those things available and I did this in one go (as per previous post). I am not sure why this is not working in your case, but did you try powering down and then turning it back on again?
    As to the point about 3.1.2 and 3.1.3 I so not think that makes a difference.
    Ah, going straight from a locked phone to the camera? I know that one: no. And I regret this as much as you. How do you know you are going to take a spontaneous shot, eh?
    A later note on your settings and iLukeKendall's input: you both have the iPod Controls Off, while mine are ON, but the double click reveals the camera for me. Hmmmm.

  • Fastest way to write array of million longs to file

    Hi,
    I have an array of 200 million longs. What is the fastest way to write this array to a file, so that I can read it back later. I tried looping, but that is too slow.
    Thanks,
    Taran

    Maxideon wrote:
    Can't he store a portion of those longs into a very large byte array, write the array, and then rinse and repeat? This would increase size of the file writes and should spead up the time...It's still looping. Simply using buffering will decrease the I/O overhead significantly. No need to munge pre-I/O buffering ourselves.

  • Fastest way to re-install address book app

    My address book app is missing. The dash board still can reference my address book- and I have it on my .mac account- so all is not lost.
    What is the fastest way to download the address book app back into my application folder?
    Thanks,

    Try using Pacifist to extract it from your computer's original disks; you may then want to rerun the Mac OS X 10.47 combo updater to ensure you have the current version of it.

  • How to make a table copy - the fastest way????

    Hi,
    Well, I have the following task to do in the minimal possible time:
    Task: duplicate a table in my instance database. The source table name is SPC.
    The destination table name is SPC_REP. Both are partitioned.
    The trouble is my source table has 40 million rows, but I need to copy only 27 million related to a column which I will use a condition in where clause.
    Ok, so I have some questions:
    Question 1)
    What's the fastest way to provide this copy?
    Export/import, Insert into, sqlloader (this one I've never used)
    Question 2)
    I am planning to do this by export/import utility. But I don't want to waste time doing first the export process and only after all doing import process. I would like to do export and import simultaneously to save time as table has so many rows.
    Question 3)
    If I use export/import I will not be able to create the copy table on the same schema as it is my source table, correct? Correct me, if I'm wrong...
    Thank you all,
    And any hint will be appreciated.

    Export & import probably isn't the best solution here. It's not particularly fast, reuires that you create an additional copy of the data in your dump file, involves the cost of pulling all the data out of Oracle and puts it back in, etc.
    Transportable tablespaces would be an option, assuming your partitioned table isn't in the same tablespace as a bunch of other opjects.
    Personally, I would probably do a
    CREATE TABLE <<copy name>>
    AS
    SELECT *
      FROM <<original name>>
    WHERE 1=2
    INSERT /*+ APPEND */
      INTO <<copy name>>
      NOLOGGING
    SELECT *
      FROM <<original name>>
    WHERE <<something>>Justin

    APPEND & NOLOGGING may be faster so I added that.

    All of a sudden, my Adobe Acrobat now speaks German! Unfortuantely, I don't. Does anyone know of a way to change the language back to English? I'm using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.1.2 on Vista.

  • How to get back to English keyboard?

    By mistake I tapped the "International" key and the keyboard switched to Chinese. Is there a quick way to get back to English without cycling thru all the other keyboards? (Everything else is still in English; only the keyboard is changed.)

    Yes it is. It will cycle through whichever Keyboards you have configured or as you put it are "active".
    I have 3 keyboards configured. English, spanish, and Emoji.  When I hold it down only those 3 keyboards appear. It doesn't show the entire list of available keyboard formats and layouts that the iPad can handle.
    My "configured" and your "active" mean the same thing.
    Which is why I suggested the poster just tap the key again. Unless they have every supported keyboard configured / active then in at most a couple of taps it should return to the original keyboard layout.
    Yes the Tap and Hold also works.

  • How to change the bios back to english. I hit a key and it changed it to Japanese

    I put a password on my laptop so I have to sign .  well I've forgotten the password so I was trying
    To see how to reset it or do a system restore.. Well I was checking out the BIOS and hit the wrong button and now its in a different language.  So can someone please help me figure out how to change it back to English.  And get into my laptop..I still can't remember my password.  Thank you!!
    Cherry

    Cherry, welcome to the forum.
    You should go into the BIOS setup by tapping the "esc" key continuously as the computer is booting.  This will take you to a Menu.  Choose F10 for BIOS setup.  Once you are into the BIOS, use the arrow keys to move to the "Exit" Tab.  Press the "Enter" key to open this Tab.  Move down to the Default settings (may be a bit different wording) option.  Press "Enter" again.  You want to choose "Save and exit".  This should set the computer back to the way it was when you bought it.
    Now, for the password.  The only choice that you have is do a System Recovery.  There is no way to use the computer without the password.
