Balance different in S_ALR_87012993 due to over settle

User encounter a problem during run an order report using T-code S_ALR_87012993.
The balances for the IO in this report suppose is Zero balance, but the report come out with a balance of RMB 12,846.91. When I drill into order actual line item (i.e. T-code KOB1), the balance shown in KOB1 Zero Balance.
Please advices why the 2 report balance not the tally with each other.
Supposedly the balance should be NIL in both reports.

Hello,
As this is the std. report, it should not give wrong figures. 1.Please check for any filters in the report.
2.Check the value types selected for the report.
3.Check the additional account assignement made if any for the internal order (as this will not figure out in KOB1)
Thanks

• Pxi655x automatic shut down due to over temperature

I have a PXI-1045 chassis with the following pxi boards installed,
1. PXI 6602 x 1
2. pxi 6534 x 3
3. pix5411 x 1
4. pxi4070 x 1
The whole system works fine, however after I installed 3 pxi 6551 in the pxi chassis, I always encounter the problem that the pxi 6551 boards will shut down automatically due to over temperature, and the message showed that I need to switch the system off. Has anyone come across similar problem? Sometimes it happens even when I have not run any LabVIEW programme...Could anyone give me some advice?

It sounds like you have a pretty full chassis but I don't see anything that should cause an immediate thermal shutdown. Here are a few things to check:
1 - Is your chassis operating at room temperature (ie 27 C)?
2 - Are your PXI chassis fans on and unimpeded? If not make sure they are on "High". Also make sure the filters on the chassis fans are clean and there is air space behind the chassis to allow air flow.
3 - Are your 655x boards in adjacent slots? If so try spacing them out or putting your other boards between them. This should reduce the concentration of heat in your chassis. Also verify that any unused PXI slots are covered with slot blocking (blank) panels. This maintains ideal airflow inside of the chassis.
4 - Do the three 655x boards work when they are the only devices in the chassis?
The thermal shutdown is meant to prevent the 655x from operating outside of its legal thermal range. This guarantees the device specifications can be met and ensures the product won't fail due to overtemperature.

• TSPITR - Recover a Dropped Tablespace aborting due dependency over XDB.

I found an issue using TSPITR to Recover a Dropped Tablespace when XML DB (XDB) is installed on a different tablespace from "SYSAUX".
During execution of TSPITR RMAN use Data Pump to export/import Tablespace Metadata as Data Pump has dependency over XDB views and related objects and XDB is installed on a set of tablespace not included on dummy database then EXPDP fails.
Errors raised ORA-39123, ORA-00376, ORA-01110.
I didn't found any limitation about XDB location on documentation or MoS.
This looks like a Oracle Bug.
See this:

RMAN>If I drop tablespace SOE and XDB on Target database and try to restore both (SOE,XDB) export will succeeds but during IMPORT Metadata RMAN will faill due XDB dependency.
In my view, they (mean Oracle) need find way to include XDB Tablespace at DUMMY database only to export (EXPDP) Metadata purposes.
If someone get a workaround for this error will be grateful.
P.S: This is not a Production environment and will soon open a SR on Oracle Support.

Hi Michael,
I did not find solution to use TSPITR to recover dropped tablespace if XML DB is installed in a non-default tablespace (i.e outside of SYSAUX).
As far I could understand, the only way to perform this RESTORE is using the old fashion. By creating clone database excluding all unnecessary tablespace, exporting and importing metadata from desired tablespace manually.
Since Oracle has not solved the issue I created my own workaround.
@All
If someone is able to use TSPITR to restore dropped tablespace when XDB is installed in a non-default tablespace, please let me know!!!
The procedure below is supported on All Oracle Version since 10.1 until 11.2.
I DON'T RECOMMEND to create AUXILIARY (clone) database using the same server from TARGET because you can damage the TARGET database.
On this example I'm using same server.
See this example:
### ON TARGET DATABASE
SQL> select count(1) SEG_COUNT from dba_segments where tablespace_name='SOE';
SEG_COUNT
32
SQL> ! date
Wed Dec 19 15:08:11 GMT-02:00 2012
SQL> drop tablespace soe including contents and datafiles;
Tablespace dropped.
### CHECK TABLESPACE TO BE EXCLUDED FROM RESTORE
SQL> select tablespace_name
from dba_tablespaces
where tablespace_name not in ('SYSTEM','SYSAUX','UNDOTBS1','SOE','XDB','TEMP');

• Using a different Sender GL in Internal Order Settlement

When we settle an Internal Order from GL/Cost Element 1 to Fixed Assets, we get:
Dr: Fixed Asset
Cr: GL/Cost Element 1.
For various reasons, we do not want to Credit the original GL/Cost Element but rather another one.
Does anyone have any sugestions as to how this can be achieved?
Thanks.

Hi
Can you tell me what is meant by "Internal Order from GL/Cost Element.."?
As per the functionality, when you settle an internal order, something is moved from the intrnal order and put to another. Hence the place from where it is moved is credited and the receiver is debited. The internal order has postings through the cost element you have posted. So the movement is from what the internal order has in its account.
Order settlement is done through a secondary cost element created and this cost element is used for debiting and crediting the sender and receivers. Hence your idea of using a totally different GL/Cost element (of course that do not have postings with respect fo the internal order in question) is not practical, I hope.

• Balance in transaction currency error for AUC settlement

I was trying to perform AUC settlement and hit Balance in transaction currency error. When i open up the line items I found that there are 2 sets (duplicate) of data posted to the depreciation area. The second set is with value 0 except depreciation area 01 posted as 100000EUR.
so now i have 2 line with 100000EUR for depreciation area 01. I guess this is the main culprit of generating the error Balance in transaction currency.
I'd glad if someone can tell me why they are 2 sets of data generated in line items? I only post the vendor invoice against the AUC once.
Or perhaps am I heading to the right way in identifying the root cause of this issue?
This is part of the AC010 course part of asset accounting that teaching on AUC aasets.
Any positive reply is welcomed!
I attached the line item image. Please note that there are some lines hidden for dep area beyond 03. and all are with amount 0.

• Opening balance differs with closing balance

Hi
I have a scenario where opening and closing balance (Previous period/year)of g/l accounts are different (for differernt currencies except company code currencies) .It is a customized report where the system is taking the value of recently maintained Exchange rate for calcualting opening balance (based on sy- datum ) while closing balance is calculated with the formula (Opening + Debit Amt - Credit Amt.)
Requirement is that closing balance should be equal to opening balance of next Period /Year
Kinldly let me know how to solve this problem
Thanks in advance
Regards
Praveen P C

Hi Milind,
Thanks for the valuable reply.
Through debugging I came to know what you have mentioned. But, in my case, the reason why it fetches the wrong exchange rate, lies with the valid_from field in T_curr table. The dates are stored in a different format(Inverted Date) in the T_Curr table. Is there any way that I can directly bring the closing balance of the previous period/year as the opening balance of the next period ?

• Billing value is different in billing due list

Hello Experts ,
I have one question on contract billing plan.
For a contract i have changed service data (i.e contract end date to 10th oct 2008 ) accordingly system generates billing plan item with settlement period (from 1st oct to 10th oct ).
This line item in billing plan will have billing value only for 10 days and according billing value comes to 925 USD.
Rest of the billing line items for this item have billing value as 4098 USD.
But in billing due list this line item as billing value as 4098 USD instead of 925 USD.I think this is a wrong value.
Can someone pl suggest me why system is considering billing for whole month instead of billing value for 10 days.
Thnaks ,
Nitin

• Debit balance in vendor account due to outward

Dear All,
While analyzing debit balance in vendor account, we came across that in most of the cases the debit balances
arisen due to stock outward to vendor from stores and DCs. As we know that in case of Food, the PO/GRN and
returns happens at each stores and DC. In all these cases it is not possible to check the balance in vendor account by stores and DC and due to outward to vendor accounts, the debit balances arises.
Therefore how do we build the logic in System which will not allow any outward to a particular vendor account.
Is it possible through standard process or we need to build validation for the same.
Regards,
Vissu

Hi Aditya,
In F110
Choose Edit → Proposal → Debit Balance Check → Simulate.
(Confirm the program RFF110SSP. Choose Continue.)
The system then displays a list of accounts that would be blocked in an update run. Carry out the update run.
Choose Edit → Proposal → Debit Balance Check → Execute.
(Confirm the program RFF110SSP. Choose Continue.)
This will solve your problem

After some investigations, the gap comes from the carry-forward, which is different whether stated from FS10N or ZCAL.
First of all, is ZCAL a standard SAP program?
If yes, what kind of check could be done?
If not, any idea?
Thanks!
Stan B.

hi Stan,
ZCAL is not standard, therefor any comparison with standard does not make much sense. A developer has to sit down and see how ZCAL works. Asking here is just wasting time, as no knows this transaction...

• Displayed white balance differs from camera value (Canon .CR2 raw)

I've noticed that Lightroom will often display a sequence or group of pictures with a very visibly different white balance between consecutive frames.
Looking at the EXIF info in a sample Canon .CR2 raw (EOS-350D), the recorded colour temperature is 5200K (camera set for AWB), but Lightroom reports this as 4950K after import. For the next frame (continuous shot), the EXIF colour temperature is again 5200K, but Lightroom reports 4900K.
This still happens in LR1.2 (on newly imported photos).
Why does Lightroom appear to make its own decision for white balance rather than use the recorded value?
Thanks,
Barrie

In any case, I'm worried about the discrepancy
between Aperture and Camera Raw on something so
basic.
Sorry I can't help you directly with Aperture as I haven't bought it - yet. However, re-the above quote, I'd just mention that the interpretation of colour temperature values is not quite as simple as it might seem. Even more so when you bear in mind that RAW converters from 3rd parties like Adobe or Apple are not based on the RAW conversion engine produced by the camera manufacturer - in effect they have to guess/estimate what the temp/tint values in the RAW file actually mean...
Some time back I made a series of tests using 3 Canon cameras, with ACR, Capture One & the Canon RAW converter. Each produced noticeably different results, and C1 & ACR showed quite different temp/tint values. (The Canon software only showed 'As Shot' - no values). The differences were consistent between shots from each camera (using WB values input or AWB) - but they weren't consistent from one camera to another. Which program produced the best result depended very much on the Camera/Subject/Personal taste...
Hope someone can help with Aperture specific info, I'm sure there must be a way of making camera specific adjustments to the RAW conversions...

• UWL - Different numbers for wf-templates over all SAP Systems are needed?

Hi Experts,
we have the situation that we have three systems with a invoice receipt workflow. In all systems they are the same template numbers (e. g. WS99900012). Now it is a good solution because every development at the workflow could be transported to the other two systems and good is.
Now we heard that all template number must be a distinct number over all systems. Otherwise the UWL will not find the correct workflow in the correct system.
Is this true? Or have the UWL another attribute except the template number to find the correct combination system/workflow?
Thank you for your help!
Bernhard

Hi,
When you configure the UWL for your workflow tasks, there will be configuration XML file(s). You either generate them automatically or build them manually, or something between these two. The thing that I mentioned will be done in the configuration file(s).
Now I cannot find any official document about this topic. But as I said I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. I have configured UWL to work with multiple backend systems. And your case is basically the same. The only difference seems to be that your task IDs will be the same for each system, but the different backend system objects should handle this. Of course I cannot be 100% sure about this, and sure there might be at least a bug in the UWL that it cannot handle these.
The uwl configuration you can find in portal in System admin -> System config -> UWL.

• Balance is not zero due to currency conversion

Hello experts,
could you please suggest me in a solution of the following issue? I use f-28 Incoming payment transaction. Document currency is usd, while local currency is euro. When currency conversion takes place rounding happens and instead of e.g. 3555,14 euro 3555,15 come up. But it appears from time to time due to rounding. Because of this, debit sum is not equal to credit sum (0,01 in our case) and consequently the balance is not zero. So, system displays the message Message no. F5060 "Posting is only possible with a zero balance; correct document".
What are the ways to correct this issue?

Hi,
I checked OBY6 and the check box was already set. I also want to add some details. In F-28 I use BTE 1020 in order to split amount in bseg-dmbtr field. Have a look please. We have to make an incoming payment 5500 USD - this is document currency. In our functionality we split this amount into 2 amounts: 4500USD and 1000 USD, then we convert 4500 USD and 1000 USD into EURO as euro is local currency. After those conversion I get 2 line items with 4500 USD and 1000 USD in euro in bseg-dmbtr field (4500\fursf eur and 1000\kursf eur, accordingly) instead of line item with 5500 USD (5500\kursf eur). At the end of BTE 1020 FM I get a table with line items some of them are splited as I wrote above. And because of currency conversion while splitting balance is not zero.
The only idea is to spread those difference by open item positions.
Regards,
Alex.
