  • What is bank key in house bank configuration

    hi
what is bank key in house bank configuration. is bank key same as our bank routing number.
    thanks,
    monica

    Hi,
You specify the bank key under which bank data from the respective country is stored.
Basically, your banks are managed by using their bank numbers. The bank number and the bank key are almost same for the house bank.
Like you said, you may define a 9 digit number that serves as a routing number too.
    Hope it clears your doubt.
    Assign points if helpful.

  • House Bank Configuration/ Assignment

    Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....

    PSNG

Bank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
    FI12 - Configure House Bank
    House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
    to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
    A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
    T-Code: FI12
    Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
    Config
    Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
    your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
    Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
    A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
    data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
    Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
    nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
    the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
    Bank Account
    Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
    Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
    Confirmed Cash,
    Floating Cash out, and
    Floating Cash
    in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
    Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
    The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
    T-code: FCHI
    Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
    and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
    needed.
    Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
    system.
    T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
    Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
    users are only assigned Manual.
    Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
    The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.
    T-Code:
    FBZP
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Outgoing
Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Method/Bank Selection > Configure Payment Program

  • HOUSE BANK CONFIGURATION

    Hi Experts
In my client  number of bank accounts  maintained with each bank which is configured as House bank is more than one in almost alll the cases. Client is interested for check printing for each bank account maintained with the bank be it automatic payment programme(F1110) or manual payment(F-58)..But the consulting team which is presently involved in the implementation is expressing some limitation and as per the explanation given to us only one account can have check printing and rest of the bank account should  go for manual check facility,
can somebody pl throw some light on this issue.Correct answer will be rewarded.

    Hi Vijay
I will put the scenarion in this way.Company x ltd is having bank account with SBI,Mumbai and it maintain 5 bank accounts say Current a/c,CC account,Project finance a/c,Current a/c other.
SBI is configured as House bank and all the a/c mentioned above as Account id.Each bank a/c is having Check facillity.
The config step in bankdetermination(Pl see 2nd step-Bank accounts) in FBZP can accept same payment method only once,If all the bank accounts are configured as account id under same house bank having payment method as check.
So in F-58 if we are selecting some other bank account system gives a dump.It will be grate if you suggest some other solution.
You can try and give your feedback.

  • How to replicate FP bank configuration

In my application I use 14 (fourteen) FieldPoint banks exactly alike:
    FP-1601+DO-401+DI-301+AI-100+TC-120.
I would like to configure one bank and then, except for the name and
IP address, just replicate that configuration onto the other 13.
    How do I do that?
(I do hope I do not have to manually configure every single chanel for
avery single bank: we are talking about 420+ channels total!!!)
    Thanks to all who reply.
    Gilberto

    Follow the directions below:
Assume that you have the following systems:
System A: System that you will manually configure with the desired settings and item names.
System B: First system you want the configuration to be copied to.
System C: 2nd systems you want the configuration to be copied to.
System n: Last (or nth) system of the identical systems you want the configuration to be copied to.
Hint: You may want to temporarily label each system with its corresponding letter at this point, and label with the IP address after completing step 2.
Make sure that the hardware systems are identical (i.e. FP-2000 is not that same as FP-2010, FP-2010 is not the same as cFP-2010, etc), with identical modules connected.
Configure A, B, C...n's IP address. These will be used later.
Take system B, C...n offline, so that no more changes are made to them at this time.
Configure A with the desired settings that you would like to copy to the other systems.
Make sure that Download item names on Save under Tools>>FieldPoint is checked.
SAVE the .iak file. This will only save the information for system A. This will also download the item names to system A.
Take system A offline so that it can be copied (keep B, C...n offline as well).
Delete A, B, C...n from the Remote System's list and refresh the Remote System tree (press F5). This deletes them from MAX, and from the iak file if you saved it. Do not save the iak file.
Exit and relaunch MAX. Expand remote systems. Only system A should appear with a yellow warning sign (it is loaded from the iak file). Make sure the Model in the network settings page is FieldPoint RT to make sure that it is a FieldPoint (e.g. not PXI) configuration.
Right-click on system A and select Change IP Offline.
Enter the IP address for system B and press OK. The operation will be successful as long as you don't have system B online.
    Put system B online.
Press F5 to refresh the Remote Systems tree. System B's icon will now change to the blue FP icon.
Right-click on the Bank item under system B and select Apply configuration to bank. This step will copy the hardware settings to all the I/O modules for bank B.
Take all systems offline and repeat Steps 8 to 14 for all other banks (C...n).
Once done with configuring all the systems, put ALL systems online and do the following steps:
Start with a new iak file
Refresh remote systems (press F5). All configured systems will show up with gray icon.
Do Find Devices on Each system
Save the .iak file (Note: this save will download the Item Names to the respective systems).
To do the same operation in FieldPoint Explorer:
Configure A, B, C...n's IP address. Keep ALL systems online.
Configure A with the desired settings
Save the .iak file (this should also download the item names to system A)
Right-click on commRes in FP Explorer and select Copy (enter the number of copies to be made). This step will add that many items in the FP Explorer tree.
Right click on one of the newly created commRes items in the tree and select Edit this comm Res
Enter B's IP address and click OK.
For Each network and I/O module under B
Right click and select Edit this Device
Select Channel Configuration and then select OK in the Channel Configuration box
Select OK in the device config box
If you want, rename the default commRes to a new name.
Repeat step 5-8 for all other banks
Save the .iak file (Note this will also download items names)

  • Error while uploading Bank Statement using FF_5 with Multi Cash Option

    Hi
I am trying to upload the Bank Statement in FF_5 screen with Multicash (MC) option and am facing the information message that Account XXXX  YYYY EUR : Statement 201100059 is not in the bank data storage. This is for the Germany Country Company Codes.
Here XXXX is the Bank Key and YYYY is the Bank Account Number defined in the House Bank configuration (FI12) for our Company Code ABC in Germany. However, when I double click the information, I get the following error message :
No EUR House Bank Account AAAA / BBBB exists (message can be customised). But the AAAA is the House Bank and BBBB is the Bank Account Number in our other Germany Company Code XYZ.
This has become a go-live stopper scheduled in the next two days. Can someone guide me and help me in overcoming this problem.
Also, let me know in case it has anything to do with the Define Search String for Electronic Bank Statement ? If so, please help me in configuring the same.
Thanks a lot for the prompt support.
    Regards
    Gemini

No, the issue is not search string related.  Search strings are only related to transactions and not run until the transactions are processed.  The program has to validate the bank accounts before it can process any transactions.  Based on the error messages, the program isn't able to validate the bank accounts.
What is the message number?  Are you saying that the short text is referencing one bank account and the long text references a different bank account?  Does either account ID in FI12 have the alternate account field filled in?  If the alternate account field is filled, FF_5 will use that instead of the account number in determining the house bank/acct ID.

  • Vendor open line item amount payment in app through different house banks

    Hi,
    Kindly Help me.
Our client requirment is vendor open line item amount payment in app through using different house banks is it possible.
    Please let me known
    Thanks & Regards
    Ramu

    Hi
Generally , you can assign a default house bank and account id in the vendor master record. During execution of  Automatc payment program  this house bank will be used ( provided your APP configuration via FBZP and APP parameters are in line ). However, you can change the default house bank at the document line item level to a different house bank and this would be checked with house bank configuration via FBZP ( and your APP parameters ) and payment made via the preferred house bank .
You may also change the house bank while editing the Automatic payment proposal through a re-allocation of house bank .
    Hope this helps.

  • Change Bank Account on Printed Checks via F110

    Hello Gurus-
I have a requirement to change the account number on the printed checks which is done by the House Bank configuration.  I was wondering if there was anything else I should consider or keep in mind when making changes to accounts numbers on printed checks?  Should there be any changes to check lots for example?
    Thanks!

    Option 1.
    Simple solution would be.
if you are not going to use old bank account and want to use old cash gl account for new bank account for checks, you chage old bank account to this account to new account. Then you are all set. Dont have to create any check lots and no other config. changes.
This had impact in accounting while reconciling checks(check clearing) that created with old account if you change the GL account also while changing the bank cash gl account if you change cash gl as well.
You dont have a problem if you dont change cash gl account.
    Option 2.
You have to create a new account ID in the same house bank, use this new account id in Bank account determination(here change to new account id from old account ID), avalible amounts and create check lot for the new account ID.
    Option 3.
If you dont like to messup with the existing house bank, you can have a new house bank and account, in this case you have to create ranking orders, bank determination, avalible amounts and create check lot for the new house bank and account id.
    * Make sure to take out the old house bank and account id from bank account determination for check payments. Otherwise if any invoice created for the old house bank will get paid with the automated payment run.
all can be done in the transactions - FBZP and FCHI
