HOUSE BANK CONFIGURATION

Hi Experts
In my client  number of bank accounts  maintained with each bank which is configured as House bank is more than one in almost alll the cases. Client is interested for check printing for each bank account maintained with the bank be it automatic payment programme(F1110) or manual payment(F-58)..But the consulting team which is presently involved in the implementation is expressing some limitation and as per the explanation given to us only one account can have check printing and rest of the bank account should  go for manual check facility,
can somebody pl throw some light on this issue.Correct answer will be rewarded.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Vijay
I will put the scenarion in this way.Company x ltd is having bank account with SBI,Mumbai and it maintain 5 bank accounts say Current a/c,CC account,Project finance a/c,Current a/c other.
SBI is configured as House bank and all the a/c mentioned above as Account id.Each bank a/c is having Check facillity.
The config step in bankdetermination(Pl see 2nd step-Bank accounts) in FBZP can accept same payment method only once,If all the bank accounts are configured as account id under same house bank having payment method as check.
So in F-58 if we are selecting some other bank account system gives a dump.It will be grate if you suggest some other solution.
You can try and give your feedback.
Thanks & regards.

  • What is bank key in house bank configuration

    hi
what is bank key in house bank configuration. is bank key same as our bank routing number.
    thanks,
    monica

    Hi,
You specify the bank key under which bank data from the respective country is stored.
Basically, your banks are managed by using their bank numbers. The bank number and the bank key are almost same for the house bank.
Like you said, you may define a 9 digit number that serves as a routing number too.
    Hope it clears your doubt.

  • House Bank Configuration/ Assignment

    Hi All ,
I need information on House Bank Configuration/ Assignment with respect to business area. Its very urgent.....
    regards
    PSNG

Bank that your company used for banking purposes.
It is also the first step for configuring your Account Payable Modules.
    FI12 - Configure House Bank
    House Banks
First Step: We first create House Banks. These are the banks for
your clients. Your client uses these for its banking transactions. One House Bank can have multiple bank accounts assigned
    to it.
During the implementation one can try to rationalize both, the Banks and the Accounts.
    A House Bank has
a Unique Bank Key. Bank Keys differ by each country's norms. The US Bank Key is called ABA (American Banking Association)
number. Normally each House Bank can have its own Company Code. In some cases, where the Banks use a different ABA key for
paper Transactions and a different one for Electronic Transactions, you Create Two House Banks instead of one for One
Physical Bank. Also, Two Bank Accounts will be created for a Single GL Account.
    T-Code: FI12
    Menu Path:
Financial Accounting > General Ledger Accounting > Bank-Related Accounting > Bank Accounts > Define House Banks
    Config
    Steps:
A House Bank is tied to a Company Code and each Bank Account is tied to a House Bank. So first we Select the
Company Code for which the House Bank is to be created.
The Create Bank icon is clicked and it brings up a pop up for
House Bank Identifier and House Bank Country. House Bank ID is a number decided by you. You can specify a number based on
    your numbering conventions.
The Next screen requires entry of the Bank Key - the ABA number is the House Bank country
selected was US. On this screen you also enter the House Bank Address data as well Control Data - comprising of SWIFT COde,
    Bank Group and Bank Number.
Once the House Bank data has been entered and filled up, you click on Bank Accounts and
you are taken to the screen to configure the Bank Accounts. On the Next screen click on the "Create Acct" icon.
    A pop
up comes up where you enter the House Bank Identifier in your system as well as the Bank Account identifier in your system
along with a text description. Once this is done, we get to the main screen where we enter the following
    data:
Bank Account: The Bank Account given BY the Bank.
Altern. Acct No.: This field is used when two
accounts at the same bank use the same account number. This situation may arise when the bank manages the accounts in two
different currencies. This field has a different number than the Bank Account field.
    Currency: This is the
currency in which the account is managed.
Control Key: For US Banks, this is used to identify whether the account
is a Checking or Savings account. The key is 01 for Checking and 02 for Savings. The Default value is checking account if
    nothing is specified.
GL Account: Each Bank Account is assigned to a GL Account Number. The Bank Account updates
    the GL Account entered here.
Discount Account: If the company uses the Bill of Exchange facility then we enter the
Cash Discount Account for Credit Memo Postings that this Bank Account should update.
    Bank Account
    Structure
It is important to have the right structure for Bank Accounts, GL Accounts and the Clearing
    Accounts.
It is important to know how much of:
    Confirmed Cash,
    Floating Cash out, and
    Floating Cash
    in
is available for the company on a particular day.
There should be Only One Confirmed Cash GL Account with many
Bank Clearing Accounts. So, the Checks Outgoing Clearing, Wire Outgoing, ACH Out, and Deposits clearing need to be set up
for each Bank Account. It is also important to leave room for additional clearing accounts that may be needed in future.
For this, we may have a range of 10 GL Accounts for each Bank Account. The numbering, for example, can have the GL Account
ending with 0 for each Confirmed Cash Balance (eg: 110000); each deposit clearing account will end up with a 1 (110001); each
outgoing check clearing account will end with a 2. each outgoing ACH account will end with a 3 and each outgoing wire
account may end up with a 4.
Check Lots and Void Reason Codes
The final step in configuring of the AP Bank
Account is to assign it to a check lot.
    Check Lots
If the company has a MICR printer then a blank
check lot can be used for Payables. The check lot determines the check number that is used on payments.
    The first
step is to bring up the "Check Lots" screen.
    T-code: FCHI
    Menu Path: Financial Accounting >
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check
Management > Define Number Ranges for Checks
On the main screen you need to fill up Company Code, House Bank number,
and the Account ID for which the checks are being created (?)
After saving the information click on "Change Status"
icon. This takes you to "Maintain Check Lots" screen. Most of the information will come filled up. You can enter the From
    and To check Numbers.
To create a new check lot and assign it to the account, you can click on the "Create" icon. In
the pop up enter the Lot number identifier and he range of the check numbers and also the next lot number if
    needed.
    Void Reason Codes
In SAP, it is not possible to void a check without a valid reason code. We
can have any number of Void Reason codes. There should be at least one Void reason Code configured in the
    system.
    T-code: FCHV
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business
Transactions > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment media > Check Management > Define Void Reason Codes.
    Three Void
reason Codes come pre-configured - 1, 2, and 3. They deal with the problems encountered with the printers. There are
indicators to be assigned which define whether the Reason Code is due to Manual or Print program. Any codes created by the
    users are only assigned Manual.
    Payment Program Configuration
This step determines how to process
the payment transactions in the system.
The Payment Program is a series of steps within one Program.
    The
configuration occurs in table T042 and other variations of table T042 that end in a letter.
    T-Code:
    FBZP
Menu Path: Financial Accounting > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Outgoing
Payments > Automatic Outgoing Payments > Payment Method/Bank Selection > Configure Payment Program

  • Vendor open line item amount payment in app through different house banks

    Hi,
    Kindly Help me.
Our client requirment is vendor open line item amount payment in app through using different house banks is it possible.
    Please let me known
    Thanks & Regards
    Ramu

    Hi
Generally , you can assign a default house bank and account id in the vendor master record. During execution of  Automatc payment program  this house bank will be used ( provided your APP configuration via FBZP and APP parameters are in line ). However, you can change the default house bank at the document line item level to a different house bank and this would be checked with house bank configuration via FBZP ( and your APP parameters ) and payment made via the preferred house bank .
You may also change the house bank while editing the Automatic payment proposal through a re-allocation of house bank .
    Hope this helps.

  • APP..House Bank

I having one query regarding APP....
In APP run...total amount payable to vendor comes out to Rs. 5 lacs ....and in FBZP under Bank determination in ranking order we have specified ranking order of banks in the following manner.....
House bank 1..........available outgoing amount....4 lacs
House bank 2..........available outgoing amount....4 lacs
In these scenario one house bank will not be able to pay full amount.....then how system will pay in this scenaria.
Will system gives an error message or pay 4 lacs from House bank 1 and remaining amount from House bank 2.
And if in second house bank we don't have any available outgoing amount....I mean we have total available outgoing amount is only 4 lacs.....in this scenario what happens
    Please reply

    Hi Namitha,
In addition to the comments above below is useful information regarding APP.
    1) Available amounts for all house banks configured in APP, can be changed/altered directly in PRD system every time when you require using Tcode S_ALR_87001486 - Enter available amounts for the payment program
Ex: the above tcode can be used everytime, before running APP to set the maximum amounts from each bank account manually (according to the actual bank balance of your bank account)
    2) the available amounts in each house bank will be checked with total payments of a single payment run only.
Ex: if your available amount for outgoing payment is 100 INR for house bank 1, then in the first payment run if total payments to all vendors is equal to 70..then payments will be made without any issues.... Again if you run APP for the second time, system will not consider the previous run's total payments 70 in to account. as long as your subsequent  APP's total payments are less then 100, system will post the payments for the same.
This information must help you to understand better.

  • House bank account balances and turnovers

    Hello,
at our customer company we have configured few G/L accounts for multiple bank accounts - e.g. one for each house bank ID per local/foreign currency - so for each bank we have two G/L accounts configured. This works very well until we need to see the turnovers and opening and closing balances per each house bank account. Are there any alternative possibilities to see that in SAP apart from customizing a report from FEBKO and FEBEP tables?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joaniuka

    Hi,
When you enter the transaction and select a statement or group of statements you can click on u201Cother displayu201D. Then you can see an ALV with all the entries in the statements you have selected. Opening Balance, closing balance and posting date are available in the ALV among many other fields.

  • Issue with GL account determination of House Bank

    Hello everybody,
we have small hiccup with gl account determination for house bank while doing FBWE (bill of exchange) transaction.
I have configured the house bank and created a sub account for factoring and assigned values for G/L and Discount acct using FI12.
Even linking of these to g/l's has been done in FS00. We were expecting the g/l to be pickedup automatically, whenever the housebank and account id are given in transaction.
However, when we are doing FBWE transaction for COLLECTION, the posted document shows another g/l which i find as COLLECTION ACCOUNT in table T012K-WIKON(Subaccount for bill of exchange collection  - House Bank Accounts), though i am sure that i didnt assign this account anywhere in FI12 ( i couldnt see a place to attach it).
Can anybody guide me, how the <b>Subaccount for bill of exchange gets attached to a house bank and Account ID</b>? or where i might have gone wrong?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Lakshmi Narayana.S

    Thank you very much Dominik.
Indeed, entries are missing in  OBYK for the account i was having trouble.  Let me check with my functional guy to know what information needs to be maintained here.

  • Payment Method "Bank Transfer" in House Bank?

    Hi Experts
    1. I have created a Payment method as Bank Transfer - "B".
    2. Assigned it to the Company code
    3. Created a Bank Account in a House Bank with Payment Method Bank Transfer - "B".
    4. i have created a Vendor given the Bank details and choosen the payment method B.
    5. Now when i post the invoice in F-43 i want the payment has to be happen in the vendor bank directly.
please help me what additional configuration i need to do for the above task.
    Regards
    RAJA

    Dear Raja,
please run FK03 for Your vendor --> General data --> X Payment transaction
You can use the field Partner Bank Type LFBK-BVTYP to define a key (example 1,2,3,4 OR A,B,C..) that You can choose and insert during the invoice posting so the System will use this vendor bank during the automatic payment
    or
FK03 --> Company Code data --> x Payment transaction --> field Short Key for a House Bank LFB1-HBKID that mean:
The key for the house bank is used if the customer/vendor is always to be paid by the same house bank. The bank selection of the payment program is cancelled with this entry.
    I hope this can help.

  • Payment Program - Error FZ570 "No valid house bank found"

I am using SAP ECC 6.0 and am getting an error message FZ 570 "No valid house bank found" for a single house bank when cash concentration is performed (trans FFWR).  All other house banks are OK.
Can anyone tell me specifically what is causing this error?  I have checked all the configuration tables for this house bank and it all seems fine.  I really don't want to debug F110 to determine what is causing this problem.
Note:  This house bank shows up as an exception on the Payment List as error 070 but it is really FZ570.
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Joanne,
I think you can get a better response in the ABAP or FI Functional forums.

  • House Banks

    Hi
I have a question about banks, I hope I am in the correct forum.
    1.
From a review of house banks set at my company I have noted one with no GL code assigned to it.  What would be the impact of this, could payments still be made from this account?? I am unsure as to where the posting could be done if the account has no GL code?
    2.
Also during the processing of electronic payments is it inherent in SAP that the GL account and bank account number cannot be changed by the user?
    3.
The payment program F110 generates [ayments from the AP subledger only I think?  Once this is done how is the payment secured from being changed e.g. AP gl account, vendor name, amount, currenct, bank details etc?
    Thanks for your help
    CT

    Hi Rafael,
    Thank you for your reply.
    1.
For the account with no GL account configured it has a 'discount' account.  What is the significance of this please?
    2.
So this means all relevent accounts are defaulted from the config and end user cannot amend?
    3.
Thinking of just the payments, is it inherent that once the payment progran F110 generates the transactions using the AP subledger data then a user cannot overwrite the payment details e.g. chnage the amount of vendor?  Or is this done via some form of authoirisations?
    Thanks

  • House Bank not picked in the payment proposal - F110

    Dear All
We have done the FBZP configurations to use  F110 automatic payment run. However the house bank and account ID does not get picked automatically. We have to go line by line and reallocate. We have maintained the payment method, and house bank ranking order. Please let us know if there are any other changes that we need to make for the house bank to be be picked automatically ????
    Thank you
    Gayani

    Hi,
Please try to maintain bank detail in vendor master and if bank details are not maintained while posting than APP will not pick the house bank and bank account.
Now, you can add the bank detail in vendor master for future invoice posting, bank detail will be picked by APP in future runs. For current open item you need to use mass update for line items.

  • Wrong House Bank in Payment proposal of AAP?

    Hello Experts,
We have more than 20 business areas and we have created individual house bank for every business area.
In one of our Business area, when they are running AAP for a vendor to make payment(payment method-T),the Corporate house bank is coming as default in the payment proposal.
I have configured every pair of house bank and business area in the ranking order of "Bank determination" configuration.
Please suggest how can i change the house bank in the payment proposal?
    Regards,
    Sumeya Offrin

    Hi,
Please follow the below steps to reverse a posting APP entry:
    1. Reverse and reset open item in T.Code FBRA
    2. Delete the existing payment (F110 u2013 Menu u2013 edit u2013 select payment run Delete)
    3. Delete the proposal (F110 u2013 Menu u2013 edit u2013 select proposal run Delete)
    4. Delete the parameter (F110 u2013 Menu u2013 edit u2013 select proposal run Delete). This is optional.
Now you can either re-run the existing APP run or create a new one.
