Bank facility and accounting treatment
hi,
1 down payment, BOE and guarantee. why only down payment has financial impact? because touch on bank account?
2 noted item can be cleared?
3 why statistical posting for BOE and guarantee no financial impact?
thanks
rgds
Hi,
1) Down payment has an impact on financial immediate but BOE and Guarantee is handled by bank. But when the ultimate payment happens, accounting for the same too happens.
2) Noted items are cleared. For example - When a down payment request is created, it is cleared when i make a payment against it (customization can be done to include it in F110).
3) BOE and guarantee will have a financial impact when the final payment happens. It will depend on the kind of terms agrred with the bank. The system we have for BOE at our clients place is - We have a payment method for the purpose and run F110. The instruction is passed to the bank and the bank makes the payment to the vendor on behalf of my client. The clients bank account is debited only after 2 months (as per the agreement).
Hope tis helps.
Thanks and Regards,
Anit

Wrong house bank and account id allowed in FCH5
Hi
I created one downpayment to vendor with F-48. I entered Bank outgoing GL account number in the screen and i posted this document. I entered house bank (ABC12) and account id (AC102) in that bank outgoing GL account.
After posting above downpayment entry, i went to FCH5. There i entered above payment document number and different bank's house bank and account id.
System allowed me to create check with different bank details. Ideally system should bank details and should not allow creating FCH5 with different bank details.
Is there is user exit / validation or standard setting for restricting above error. How would system know that you have use the House bank and Account ID of so and so......?
Bcoz, this is a manual procedure
We can't put a validation here bcoz the fields are limited and they will not help us at FCH5 level.
Use the T Code FBZ5 for Down payments to the Vendors
It will help you

KUMAR.Hi Kumar,
You will have to configure the House Bank with T Code FI12 and further mention the payment method in FBZP. You will have to select one of the follwing as payment method, check/transfer/postal giro transfer/bill of exchange. Though check (C) is widely used.
Assign points, if useful.

Hi SAP Gurus,

I have created the Bank A/c,Detail is House Bank No.24001, Account ID : 24001, Bank A/c No. 2111111111, GL A/c No. 40000000.

Regards,
AmitabhHi Amitabh,
As per the error you have not yet assigned your GL account for the particular Bank Account.
For example while giving payment by Cheque. Method is Cheque, GL account is Outgoing account right.
The entry would be
Cheque Issued Out Ac Dr.
To Main Bank Ac Cr.
You hv to assign both GL Account.
Please check Assign accounts to account symbols area.

Hi Gurus,
Please tell me the uses of House banks and Account IDs?
How many Account Ids can be in one House Bank and is it compulsory that we should have equal no of Bank GL Accounts and Account ID in House Bank?
Please revert asat.
Thank YouA housebank is the bank used by the Company for its Banking operations.
EX: SBI is the Housebank...You may have two accounts with SBI one for colections and other for disbursenments.
Each bank account has a account ID...suppose you can term the above accounts as ACC(account for collections) and ACD(a/c for disbursements)
So each housebank can have many account IDs as per the number of accounts.
It is better to have a separate GL account for each account ID

Dear Customer Service Team,
I bought a twelve-month Dreamweaver CC program with monthly payment that I have paid via bank transfer and there would be a question about the activation. How could I get the license key with which I can activate my account? I can not find it and now I only have access to the trial version.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Kind Regards,
G. ZsoltThere is no serial number require for Creative Cloud products, you may activate the products using your email address and password which is associated with Adobe. If your Dreamweaver asking for serial number, then make sure you are signing in with correct email address.

Bank and account error when adding a business partner using DTW
I need your help please. I am trying to add a business partner using DTW but the load fails with a message "Bank and account do not exist in the company Application-defined or object-defined error65171".
The related fields that I am using in the business partner file (csv) are:

I am sure that the bank and account exist because previously I manually added a customer with the same bank and data that I am using in the dtw interface.

Regarding Bank key and Bank account number
Hi All,
I have a query regarding Bank key and Bank account number.
I want to set bank account number length as 9 digits. so I set it @ below path
SPRO -> SAP NetWeaver-> General settings -> Set countries -> Set country specific checks.
I tried to change the bank account number length to 9 digits from existing 10 digits using transaction FI12.
But while changeing the bank account system throws an error like "Bank account number or bank number are not of valid length".
Can any one suggest solution on this?
Thanks in Advance!
Regards,
NidhiDear Nidhi,
It seems that earlier bank account number contained 10 digits and then setting was changed to 9 digits that may be the cause of the error. Do one thing, go back to country setting and restore the bank account number digit to 10. Then make changes to bank account number to 9 digits. Make similar changes to all bank in your company code which has 10 digits.
Then go to country settings and make account number digit to 9 digit which will prevent bank account number to be 10 digits created in future.

Regards,
Pallavi.Hi Pallavi,
Press F1 help in the Bank key field, this is the information you find there:
Bank key you specify the bank key under which bank data from the respective country is stored.
When you define the country key, you also specify the country-specific definition of the bank key.
Normally, you manage banks using their bank number. The bank number in the control data for the bank is then displayed twice, that is, as the bank key too.
In certain countries, the bank account number takes on this function; then there are no bank numbers and the bank data is managed using the account number.
For data medium exchange, you may find it useful to be able to enter foreign business partners without a bank number, even if there are bank numbers in the country in question. In this case, the bank key can be assigned internally.
To manage bank data using another key, for example, the SWIFT code, external number assignment can also be used.
Bank Account number is your account number in the respective Bank.
Please reward points if helpful.

Check in vendor master record between Bank Key and Bank Account for Belgium
Hi all, just a request.
In Belgium the first three digits of the Bank Account are always equal to the Bank Key.
Unfortunately SAP does not check if they are different.
Is there a standard check or should I "offer" a custom control?
Thanks a lot !!!Dear,
I checked right now in SPRO, but no validation with combination of Bank key and Bank account - that to particular first 3 digits not available. Option available is with ABAP Development.
Option 1.
You create Bank key using transaction FI01. Remove authorizations for FI01 from all users [Hope this already exists in your system].
In vendor master, if you enter Bank key - which also selectable with F4 option, if bank key manually entered and PRESS ENTER, one more new screen open to enter Bank data. That means after pressing enter system validating our entries in bank key with database and when not available, populating new window to enter new entries.
Now when ENTER pressed, suggest Development team to display an Error message 'Bank Key XXXXXXX not available'. By this user cannot enter a bank key as their wish.
Once valid bank key selected from selection screen - validate bank account entry first 3 digits of Bank key 3 digits entered. If not matched - Error message.
Option 2.
Simply remove authorizations for XK01, XK02, MK01, MK02, FK01, FK02 from all users and authorize only one user in creation of Vendor master who aware and take care of entries.

Syed Hussain. -

Accounting Treatment for CWIP (AUC)
Please Explaing me the Accounting Treatment for Capital Work In Progress.
what are the accounts we need to create for CWIP ( AUC ), & Whats the treatment in SAP.
As per my Knowledge when an asset under con, following entries will be effected.
1. 01.04.06 to 31.03.2007. ( Asset Under Construction ).
CWIP Exp (P&M) A/c Dr 5000
To Bank A/c 5000
(For Exp incurred for CPWIP)
2. Capitlized on 01.04.2007.
Plant & Machinery A/c 5000
To CWIP Exp (P&M) 5000
( being Asset has been capitalized on 01.04.2007)
please guide me whether the above details correct or not.
if wrong please send me the procedure for CWIP.Your entries are correct. In SAP you can settle AUC in two ways
Ist Method
1. Create AUC under 4000 asset class
2. Make postings to AUC through f-90
3. Make distribution rule using T Code AIAB
4. Settle the AUC using TCode AIBU
In step (3) you can distribute the amount spent on AUC to two or more assets otherwise you can give only one asset and then settle the AUC through AIBU.
2nd Method
1. Create an investment order (KO01)
2. System automatically creates AUC under asset class 4001
3. Enter distribution rule in the same screen ( like in the (3) above) or just give a cost center or an asset.
4. Post payments through F-90 and give the order number in that screen
5. Then settle the AUC using TCode KO88
