BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE Classify batch (Like MB1C)

I'm trying to post a MM documents using Movement Type 561. I have some information to post on Classify batch to some characteristics, but in this BAPI or using recording (SM35) I don't have any fields to fill with this information, using MB1C this fields are open to fill but when I'm using SM35 it is inactive.
When I call the BAPI it has a error:
ID: 12126 : Inconsistency in classification data => transaction terminated.

Hi,
If your material is "batch managed" you have to supply the bacth number in BAPI.
The BAPI does not search automatically for a batch number like MB1A.

    Hi experts!
    I'm new to batch determination and I'm facing an issue. I've set up a batch determination configuration and it works fine when I post a goods issue in dialog process (MB1A) entering * in the batch field.
    Now I'm trying to do the same with BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, but if I enter * in the batch parameter I get an error message M7116: "The storage location/batch function * is not defined here". If I leave it blank i get the error message "Enter batch".
    Hope somebody has any clue.

  • Batch classify music videos

    Is there anyway do a whole Batch of Music Videos and label them all at 1 time as music videos instead of 1 at a time??
    I have about 22 movies and 40 or so music videos on my ipod. Currently they are all classified as "movies" in the video tab when you right click on a single video or movie. I'd like to reclassify the videos as video but would prefer to do them all in a batch like everything else you can do as a batch, but it seems the apple guys forgot to add video classification in their batch processes.
    So, is there any way to classify all my music videos as such in iTunes without having to do them one at a time?

  • Batch characteristic value not populated!

    Hello guys,
    please would appreciate advice to following:
    I created two reference chars z_goods_receipt (MCH1-LWEDT) and z_created_on (MCH1-ERSDA). Chars assigned to material batch class. During GR in Classification Dates (chars values) are visible, but after GR is saved, in batch chars values are not populated.
    Consequently, I can not use these chars in sorting criterium for delivery batch determination - batches are not sorted acocrding to dates.
    Batches on material level. In Customizing (Classify batches within goods mvt), for mvt 101 setting is 4 (Classification always in foreground (all batches)) - but bug remains even if i try with other options. Check with developer shows not much help from EXIT_SAPMM07M_004 or EXIT_SAPMM07M_004 or EXIT_SAPLV01Z_012.
    Any idea how to populate these chars in batch?
    Alternatively, what else I could use in order to enable FIFO batch determination for batches in delivery?

    Hello,
    SAP reply -standard behaviour. After save in MSC2n values read from MCH1, after that in MSC3N value read from AUSP.
    Issue solved using non reference charactereristic and adding code into ZXMBCU04.

  • How to update/open Classification view of Batch in production Order

    Hi All,
       I have maintained the Class (023) and characterstics for Finished Material. When I am creating the production order, I am assigning new batch number in Production Order Header (Goods Receipt Tab). 
    In the background system is creating the Batch but not updating/opening the Classification view.
    Every time I required to go T code MSC2N and required to open the classification view manually.
    How to open the classification view during production order creation?

    Hi,
    You can only assign the Batch number in the production order, that meanas the said batch will get blocked and will not get saved in the Data base. You can enter the Batch number in the Production order and a while doing the GR you can make the system prompt the Classification view in the for ground so that you can enter the Characteristic values..
    For the above to pop-up you need to enter the Value "3" in the Batch Classification field of the Production Scheduling profile created for the Plant in the Tcode : OPKP.
    Please read the below information for additional inputs :
    Option to classify batches
    Specifies that the system branches to batch classification upon a goods movement or when you create or change a batch (not in the material master).
    Use
    If a batch is classified during a certain transaction or event, you can then use the batch determination facility to search for batches by class characteristics at the time of goods issue.
    Procedure
    If you work with batch classification, set this indicator for all receipt-specific movement types so that all existing batches are classified.

  • Batch Report in Bi Publisher

    we have a requirement like below.
    i have a report consists of 7 layouts in one rtf
    it is the information of member .
    We are trying to run it for batch like 20 members
    as soon as the output 7 layouts in the rtf are printed for the first member it should leave an empty page and then start from the begining for 2 nd member and print all the 7 layouts information of that memeber like that simultaneously for all the members
    Can you please gice any idea how to proceed on this requirement.

    I am having an report consists of 5 tables indise and each table is a specific information of member.
    We want run the report as a batch .
    I have created sperate datasets for each table data .
    now the requirement we will give input 10 member id .
    it should first take the first member and print the report and leav a blank page and take the second member id and print the report for that member id likethat .. upto last member id .
    as i have done 5 data sets for 5 tables i have in the report i have used for loop for each group to the corresponding table . it works fine for 1 members how to proceed for batch of member id's
    my output should be like below

  • Batch Creation or Batch Determination for 531 movement type

    Dear Experts,
    I have some confusion with Movement type 531 -
    1) Can we do Batch determination for 531 movement type.
    2)  Can we do the automatic Batch creation at the production order level or confirmation level. In this case i have done the settings but in confirmation screen i have to create batch manually through Menu Path.
    3) I have to enter characteristics value manually in confirmation screen as i have select classify batches in foreground. But in material master we have Batch Class type so can values comes from there to batch of confirmation screen.

    Please read carefully notes 191368 and 194619. These are very old correction notes and they are already implemented on your system, however, they provide the following information about the system design:
    For a by-product or co-product, no batch determination is executed anymore. The subsequent stock determination is not executed anymore either.
    and
    No batch determination for by-products may be executed during the confirmation.
    It means that the batch determination for movemen 531 is not a functionality of the standard system.
    I have never tested this scenario, however, as far as I know, the batch can be created automatically for the by-product if you are using internal number range on OMCZ.

    I have configured newly batch management in our IDES ECC 6 system in which while posting the GRN I am getting the following error:
    Invalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determination
    Batch WHITE has already been posted in stock
    For batch WHITE of material YARN40SCMBD 1001, no class could be deter
    Deficit of PU Ordered quantity 5 KG : YARN40SCMBD 1001 YN01 WHITE
    and also the system response is
    For batch WHITE of material YARN40SCMBD 1001, no class could be determined
    Message no. M7207
    Diagnosis
    The system has been configured so that batches have to be classified for the current movement type. Since neither the material nor any batch of this material has been classified, batch &V1 cannot be classified for the current movement type.
    System Response
    Depending on how the system is configured, either a warning or an error message is issued.
    If the message issued is a warning (W), the system allows you to enter batch WHITE without classification. The warning is, however, issued to prevent you from making a wrong entry.
    If the message issued is an error message (E), you cannot post batch WHITE.
    Procedure
    You either have to classify material YARN40SCMBD in the material master or manually create batch WHITE in the batch master and classify the batch there.
    As soon as a class has been assigned to the material or a batch of this material, you can classify other batches of this material upon goods movements.
    Pls help me. how to solve this problem.

    Hi,
    Follow the steps:
    1.Field---VFDAT and table-MCHA should be created as a charecter in CT04 and assigned to a class in CL02N.
    2.create MM01 and add the class to it in classification view.
    3.In mm01 plt storage1 view give data for remainning shelf life and total shelf life and in purchasing view activate batch management.
    4.OMJ5- activate SLED for your plant and mvt type 201.
    5.opj2- set BD for your plant.
    6.create sort sequence in cu70 and assign your charecteristic value to it.
    7.create batch serch strategy in MBC1 for access sequence(plt/matrl/mvt typ) create a condition record.
    8.Do a GR using 501 and enter SLED related details.(production date and exp date values)
    Repeat the above step and enter diffrent values for SLED details.
    So now two batches are created with SLED as the charecteristic.
    9.Do a GI using 201 mvt tye in MB1A and enter * in batch field(system will determine the batch using the SLED value basedon the criteria(ascending or descending which was set in the sort rule.)

  • Batch Applications in Java

    I have to write programs in Java which will run as a nightly process (same as COBOL in mainframe) without any user inputs. First question is: Is it a good idea to do this. Eg: I will give an example of a real life situation. Let us take a banking application. Every night after the bank is closed the system has to spin through every checking accounts (millions) and do some transactions, cleanups maintenenace so that next day when the bank is up and running the accounts are ready. Normally these kind of processes will be in COBOL. Please give me input and will appreciate your ideas. Is it better to do this in C++ ??? :)

    * Java as many libs useful for batch (like XML APi, JMail, log4j etc ...)
    * you can do a "big" program that execute some tasks depending on args. A part of your code is common. With several batch you have to duplicate it.
    * if your batch are very different and don't use same code, no need to do a program.
    * the use of Java is platform independent, so if your server change, no need to recompil the code !
    * java is an Oriented Object Language, so if you don't have an Object Model ...
    * if all your other program of your Information System is in Java why not keep it heterogen ?
    * shell script is faster than java if you know use it !
    it depend on project, I use a java program to do my batch because all my architecture is in java and because i need send/receive mail, acces ftp/http and i use an object model to generate report etc ... but if you just want to write a csv file from your database you don't need to use other thing than shell script .
    think about global architecture, future of your application ... good luck !

  • Batch Classification Screen for Goods Movements

    SAP Gurus,
    Very recently (24. April), we experience the following issue: (PP-PI Process Order)
    At the moment of process order confirmation, for any new batch assigned in the good movement overview, there's no pop-up of batch classification screen which allow our user to entry the classification data. And this functionality works fine in the past.
    Do you have an idea that how it happens? We checked the configuration OMCV and master data as well, the settings are all fine to me.

    I think you talk about the 101 movement, don't you? In this case this is not possible at all, check SAP note  85310
    Because goods movements can be decoupled from confirmations and          
    processed in background, it was decided that this functionality would    
    not be implemented; therefore this is Standard R/3.                      
    Solution                                                                 
    As a work around for this you have the following options:                                                                               
    1.  Classify your batch manually through Batch Master Maintenance.                                                                               
    2.  Turn off automatic goods receipt and classify your batch through the 
        pop-up that is presented during MM goods receipt.                                                                               
    3.  Do not create your batch during Order Processing. Instead have the   
        system create it during confirmation and at this time you will be    
        able to classify your new batch from the Goods Movement screen       
        COMPONENT>BATCH MANAGEMENT>CREATE BATCH.                                                                               
    Note :                                                                   
    If you want that your batch is classified in the background you can set  
    in the transaction OMCV (classify batches within goods movement          
    overview) that the classification is to happen in the background. You    
    can then utilise the user exit EXIT_SAPMM07M_004 to valuate the          
    characteristics if it is valid for                                       
    your release.

    Batch Valuation
    Batch Status Management
    Batch Determination and Batch Check
    Batch Where-Used List
    Shelf Life Expiration Date (SLED)
    It is used to have the characterisitics of the batch like Solubility, thickness, any other such.
    It is used to back track easily, which material which batch has consumed in a specific batch.
    It is easy to recall a specific batch when a problem is noticed in a batch.
    It is used to segregate materials basing on Shelf life expiry date.
    These are some of the cases.

    sorry, that is a typo in the english translation of the note. The original german says: "Dies bedeutet, dass zu einem Material die erste Charge jeweils immer auf ERP-Seite angelegt und an das EWM-System übertragen werden muss, da hierdurch die Verbindung zwischen Material und Klasse angelegt wird."
    (now translated from me): This means that, for a material, the first batch is always created in the ERP system and must be transferred to the EWM system because this creates the connection between material and class.

    Moving Further - In ADSUBCON I am not getting any option to multiply the same line items for multiple batches , like MIGO is having that option , if i am clicking on new items ,sales order no. and special stock E is missing for movement type 541... please check following screenshots.

    I just perform MIGO 101 of Purchase order. I enter vendor batch number ABC123. After save, I go to MB03, I cannot find my Vendor batch number that I have entered just now.
    Please suggest me where should I configure to display the vendor batch in material document posted.

    You can check the vendor batch details vide Transaction MSC3N, mention the material, Plant, Batch and enter.  You can find the vendor batch in Basic data1.   Alternatively vide MB03, mention the document number and enter, double click the batch, click go to Classify batch, you can find the vendor batch.
