BAPI Required for Plant to Plant Transfer using HUMO

Hi
I need to tansfer many materials from plant to plant it will be more than 5 lakshs line items.
All these materials are Handling Unit managed materials and need to use WM transaction HUMO to transfer this materials.
Is there any BAPI available to process this transaction?
Please let me know if anyone faced the same situation.

Hi There,
Couple of options here
VLMOVE is the standard transaction for moving HU (Although these are at the IM level this means that the WM activity is ignored, so no WM requirement is created)
HU_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT
GN_DELIVERY_CREATE if you want to create a delivery to instigate the movement
I think you may have an issue at the warehouse level with these though

Help required for plant wise transactions

Dear Experts,
My client want that his user should able to see the customers which are at that plant level only. But at this moment all customers can be visible & billed at any plant level.
e.g. Mumbai CFA is created as plant. This CFA associated customers can be billed by ahmedabad CFA(plant user )also. We want to restrict it. Client want that user of one plant should not be able to do any transaction at the level of other plant.How can we do that?

Why do n't you go for authority-check through an object with the help of basis team on shipping point .
means , user will have authorisation according to the shipping point , we are doing this way only .
This is the best option for you .
Note : even one plant can have multiple shipping point , user may be different .

BAPI required for incoming vendor invoice (without PO)

Hi,
Which BAPI can be used to post a "vendor invoice" ie.like a utility bill where there is no PO or GR ?
The few BAPI's that I have searched and obtained is:
1. BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE
2. BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST
Our exact requirement is to have a BAPI which can take the following fields as input:
GL Account
Cost Center
WBS element
Material No
Customer
Tax Code
Trade Partner
Customer group
And give the following data as response
Verification number in SAP
Payment status
Vendor master data
Kindly help me to find the correct BAPI.

Hi,
When we use BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST for posting an invoice without a PO, we are facing major issues.
We have to input vendor account number and the amount. This should be entered in 'ACCOUNTPAYABLE'.
Even though there is the field 'VENDOR_NO' for entering the vendor number, there is no field for entering the amount !!.
Kindly help me to identify where I should input vendor amount as input (either in 'ACCOUNTPAYABLE' or elsewhere).
Also, I am entering GL account number in field 'GL_ACCOUNT' in the segment 'ACCOUNTGL'. But there is not field to enter the amount.

Plant transfer with margin with different profit centers

Dear Experts,
We have a scenario wherein we manufacture the product at plant 100 and sell through plant 200.
As per new requirement, above plant transfer should be done with the margin.
Example:
Plant 100, product Std price: 1000
At the time of transfer to plant 200, product price should be 1500.
Rs. 500 will be the fixed margin for the year. next year it may change.
Plant 100, Prodcut price: 1000, profit center 101
Plant 200, product price 1500, profit center 201
Please guide me hoe to set up above case

You can define a new condition type for the price at the second plant 200 (say ZP01 in the below screenshot) and maintain this condition type once in a year using MEK1. The condition class of this should be B - prices
Also, both plant 100 and 200 will need to have price control Standard at 1000 and 1500 respectively.
Now define a condition type(say Z000 in the screenshot below) and call it STO notional profit/margin ( I call this notional as you are gaining a profit from 'selling' to your own plant). This condition type should have condition class A -Discount/Surcharge
In the pricing procedure, assign subtotal E against condition type P101 (this standard condition type automatically picks Standard price in plant 100). Against ZP01, assign subtotal D.
Now against Z000 assign calculation type 12 (calculates ZP01 - P101). Against Z000, maintain an accrual key ZW1 (say) and assign this to an 'STO profit' G/L in OBYC.
Your postings in PGI should look as below in the 2nd screenshot. The profit centers in my case is the same, however, you can maintain different profit centers in Plant data 1 for the material in the 2 plants.

Issue with Plant to Plant Transfer Mvt type 301

Hi,
I'm trying to do a Plant to Plant Transfer using MB1B/MIGO,mvt type 301, from a plant / Storage location which is NON HU managed to a plant / Storage location which is HU Managed, I'm getting this error,
Message No : VL296.
HU cannot be delivrd from plant XXX stor. loc. XXX to plant YYYY stor. loc YYYY
Has anyone come across this error ? Any solutions?

Hi Feroz
In HU-managed storage locations, materials can be managed in HUs only. Mixed stock made up of packed and non-packed materials within the same storage location are not supported. HUs can also be managed in interim storage types.
if you want to use 311 to move the material already in stock, but in a non HUM Storage Location and you want to transfer those materials into a HUM Storage Location 304. If this is the case you can use the transaction VLMOVE with the destination plant and storage location. Before that you have to create the HU with the transaction code HU02 Storage location: where the material is and the status: in stock

LSMW/ BAPI method for Document upload (CV01N)

Hi All,
Could you please let me know if it is possible to use LSMW (BAPI method) for creation of document ?(using CV01N) and linking files.
If yes, what is the business object for doing the same?
I did came across a BAPI "BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2", but in order to use it for mass upload , we will have to develop a program. SO I was trying to see of the LSMW method could be used.

Hi Narendra,
LSMW is not supporting for attachements. Please check and confirm. If you have to upload bulk files then use BDC(Batch data collection) it's very useful for uploading thousands documents at a time. Ask abap'r to write a bdc program.

You don't need another "cluster license". The downloaded
          version is clusterable.

Ipod shuffle system requirements for itunes 5 are they real?

The box on a new Shuffle says

I've been using my Shuffle with X.3.8, iTunes 4.7.1 and iTunes 4.9, and Quicktime 6.5.2 until its minijack went defective. I need a replacement shuffle and don't want to upgrade my OS, my itunes, or my QT.
Are these system requirements for real? If I use the iPod Shuffle 1.1 updater will the new Shuffle work with my OS/itunes?
I ask about the updater because once when my current shuffle's playcount stoped updating an Apple Genius suggesting updating the firmware from ipod updater 1 to 1.1 and ever since I can't restore it to version 1 (it gives failure to update errors). I worry that a new Shuffle won't be downgradeable.
If not what version of itunes 5 is best? I recall it was so buggy that it was bum rushed out the door.
Under no circumstances do I want itunes 6. I had 6.0.1. and 6.0.2 on a new hard disk a few months ago (and it required X.3.9 and QT 7) and it was awful! The sound volume dropped precipitously and the sound check didn't work.

Never mind. I returned the Shuffle for a refund. Apple lost a repeat sale by failing to practice the slightest bit of backwards compatibility!

Using Sun Solaris ? (i know using sun Sloaris i can have this mode of high availability BUT I PREFER INSTALLING IT ON RED HAT ENTERPRISE )
Using RED HAT ENTERPRISE on the two servers ? i wan to knew if i must use Vmware with the adequate licences (Vcenter) to provide FT fonctionnality for active / active Design ?
How i can use the replication to provide a complet active / active Design ?

It depends what functionalities you want to use on CAR.
For example:
If only plain authentication is needed, you can install two servers independently and just configure replication between them (they just need IP visibility to replicate configuration). NAS clients can contact servers in round-robin or you can share load on two servers in some other way.
If you want CAR to perform session management and dynamic IP address allocation, than you need some cluster solution, as two servers must have synchronized state of sessions and consistent administration of addresses allocated from a pool.

Implementation using HUMO transaction

Hi,
I need to call HUMO transaction to do a Plant to Plant transfer in the same system with the assignment of Handling units.I couldnt find a FM or BAPI for the HUMO transaction for my requirement.
The requirement is : Enter Material, Batch , Qty and Plant in the Contents tab of HUMO transaction, it will display the HUs(Handling Unit) in the next page, then we will Select your HU option >>> Go to EDIT >>> Change HU Posting >>>Select Other Posting --> Drop down >> Select 0007 Plant Transfer (One-step-Procedure) >>>>> Enter Receiving Plant & storage Location and SAVE.
I checked all the functional modules under the Package "HANDLING_UNIT_MONITOR"(which is HUMO transaction package) and I didnt find any FM fitting my requirement.
Have anyone worked in calling HUMO transaction in ABAP program ?. Any inputs on the above requirement will be useful.

Try this way...
go to transaction HUMO and press F1 on fields Material, Batch , Qty and Plant and see the technical
attributes and see the Paramater id for exah field and pass to transaction like below..
see sample code..
    SET PARAMETER ID 'MAT' FIELD w_material.     "MAT for Material Number
   SET PARAMETER ID 'CHA' FIELD w_batch.         "CHA for batch Number
   SET PARAMETER ID 'WRK' FIELD w_Plant.     "WRK for Plant

Customization for Plant to Plant transfer

Hi Everybody !
There is a requirement saying that the system should request Incoming Certificate for the GR which is based on a Transfer Order(i.e. Plant to Plant transfer).
From the answers to my previous query I know that standard SAP does not supports this. So can anyone suggest any config change or ABAP developement which makes this possible ? Please give a detailed answer so that I can follow that and make this happen in my system.

As stated, the system doesn't support the COA requirement when your not treating the plant as a vendor.
1) Why are they requiring a COA anyway? There is no business benefit to that. In every client I've worked for we have done away with these. It was common practice at one time when plants had separate quality systems and business systems. But with all plants on one SAP system, data can be accessed for any plant. If the receiving plant needs to send out COA's they should be generated by SAP so there should be no need to have a hard-copy.
There is no ISO or GMP rule that these type of shipments require COA's. In fact, when all the plants are on the same system, they should discourage it.
2) if you really want to check for a COA, include the check as a pass/fail qualtitative characteristic as part of an 08 inspection lot.
