Batch reconnecting from a different disk

I've moved the scratch location to new hard disk I bought, now I want to edit a old project in which I've to reconnect the media. I don't see an option to do a batch reconnect. reconnecting individual clips is time consuming. Just wondering if anybody here had similar experience and valuable solution for me.
thanks

Highlight all the media you want to reconnect, then choose RECONNECT from the FILE menu. It will ask to reconnect all the media you chose.

  • Picking quantity from a different storage location during batch split??

    Hi Gurus,
    Have an issue with doing batch split in a delivery with batches from several storage locations.
    Have delivery XXXXXX where I want to pick batches from several different storage locations.
    I click on the batch split button and select the different batches and quantitys.
    The issue here is that I would like to have the different storage locations entered automatically based on the selection of the batch I have made.
    The only storage location that is entered here or possible to be entered is the defaulted storage location that is in the first screen...
    My question is why can I get the storage location where the batch is located and acctually exists when I do select the batch in the batch split...
    The table LIPS and LGORT is not filed with the storage location so I do not know how I could fill this field with the correct storage location data...
    Thank You for all Your help!

    Christian

    Hi Christian,
    you have not jet got an answer  -- here my suggestion.
    You have to use the Userexit Mv50afz1. Here you can do some checks and  you can do a popup, where you can sign the LGORT, where the batch is.
    In any case, you need an ABAPer
    In documentation, there is signed, that you should not change database other as Save_prepare - and that's too late.
    In one solution at my company, i show in a message the right information. In an other solution, i made a modification of table lips.
    But dont change the index of the current lips/xlips. That may have the effect of incorrest LIS - System.
    If nessesary create an ylips- Line of the position.
    Use an assign-command to avoid the change of the index.

  • PSE 11 (OS X): Help! Catalog has just decided my photos are on a different disk

    I've been running PSE on my Mac for several years without problems. I just downloaded about 3,000 new photos from my camera, apparently without problems, but when I clicked on one of the thumbnails, PSE couldn't find the photo. On further investigation, I realized that while the photos had downloaded to the usual place, ~/photos/download, the catalog was now looking for them in the same directory but on my BACKUP disk (I have a second hard drive that I use to keep a copy of my main disk). I have no idea how this has changed or why, as I've never manually moved anything to the new disk, and have no idea how I'd tell PSE to look on a different disk anyway, but it seems to have decided to keep the same directory structure but now to look for everything on a different disk. How can I correct this? I can get PSE to find my newly uploaded photos if I copy them to the backup disk, but this is not what I want - it's supposed to be a backup disk!
    Thanks for any suggestions, both about what might have gone wrong and (especially) about how to correct it.
    Best,
    Richard Stanton

    Hi,
    Can you please check Edit > Preferences > Camera/Card reader pref > "Save Files In" preference?
    Also, for the current situation, you may reconnect the files using File > Reconnect > All Missing Files. You would need to manually locate path ~/photos/download and click Reconnect.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Iphoto 11 import problem.  My camera is importing photos as 4x4.  I see a single image in the preview window, but the import is 4x4.  I just imported from a different camera and that one was OK.  I can't find any setting to change to fix this problem

    I am having a new problem in IPhoto'11.  An older camera is importing photos as 4x4 (16 copies to a single image).  In the preview pane the photos are fine (single copy per image).  I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting but the problem repeats.  Earlier I had a successful import from a different camera.
    I can't find any settings to change this. Help!

    Sorry but I do not understand your question
    As to importing iPhoto simply copies the photos to the iPhoto llibrary - no changes of any sort are made

    Hello,
    You can schedule an operating system task (Control Panel -> Schedule task) to either call a batch file or a PowerShell script.
    Please read the following resources for examples:

    From ODI call your batch file that you created on the same machine.. which will inturn call the other batch file on a different machine to execute batch client.

    Thanks for the update. Looking forward to your results from further searches for that .iso file.
    If you burn a Timeline content to a video file saved to the computer hard drive, you can use Publish+Share/Computer/and one of those choices to get a video file (.mov, .mpg, .avi, wmv, mp4, m2t). But, this route does not allow for menus. You can take the saved video file and transfer it to USB Flash Drive or memory card, and, if your player supports that, you can playback the file with the player.
    When you burn a Timeline content to DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, menus are supported. And, what you have on the DVD after the burn to disc are two folders (OpenDVD and VIDEO_TS) in the correct disc system format. It is the VIDEO_TS Folder on the disc that has the video files and menu files for DVD-VIDEO format.
    When you take the Timeline content to Publish+Share/Disc/DVD, but use Folder (4.7 GB), you end up with a saved folder which contains the same OpenDVD Folder and VIDEO_TS Folder that you would have gotten from the direct burn to disc. But, now you need to take just the VIDEO_TS Folder from the saved folder and get it to a DVD disc in the correct disc system format. You do that with a free 3rd party software such as ImgBurn.
    If you go the ISO Image route, your DVD video files (video and menu et al) are saved as a file in format represented by the .iso file extension. It is essentially a copy of your DVD-VIDEO data including menus. The .iso image produced can be taken to DVD disc to produce the DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc.
    So, in the case of burn to folder, you are looking for a saved folder with OpenDVD Folder and VIDEO_TS Folder inside.
    In the case of the burn to ISO Image, you are looking for a file with the .iso file extension.
    The Save In: location of the burn dialog should point to where you are going to find the folder or file after the burn to.
    Please consider. We will be watching for further developments.

    Add On...have you told me yet what is exactly shown in the Save In field of your burn dialog?

  • Booting from a Firewire Disk backup - get Startup Manager to show FW disk

    Hi all,
    A hint that I have discovered whilst trying to create a backup on a Firewire external Hard disk and boot my eMac from it.
    eMac 1.0GHz (ATI), OS X Tiger 10.4.7 and OWC Mercury Elite Pro 40Gb firewire external disk (Oxford 911+ chipset)
    I created a bootable backup using both Carbon Copy Cloner and/or Rsyncx on the firewire disk, but with the same results each time - it woudn't boot from startup manager. I was careful to make sure that the disk was bootable and it would boot from the FW disk after selecting it in system preferences/startup disk and restarting. O.K so far.
    OS X also offers an alternative boot method using the startup manager at boot time which you can enter by holding down the option key while turning on the eMac until the startup manager comes up. Normally it shows your "macitoshHD" and "repair" hard drives and you can select the preferred boot up drive. According to Apple help it should also show bootable Firewire disks, but I could not get this to happen.
    After a bit of trial and error, I found this sequence reveals the FW dive.
    . Make sure your firewire external drive is turned on and plugged in to a firewire port on your eMac.
    .Power on the eMac whilst holding down the option key (The key with the apple and squiggley thing next to the spacebar)
    .Keep holding the option key until the startup manager icons appear.
    .Once the startup manager appears, it will take about 30 secs to 1 min to scan for drives.
    . Usually icons showing your internal bootable drives will show along with a rescan and continue icon.
    . To get the FW drive to show, hold down the option key and click the rescan button (the turned back arrow icon on the left)
    .The system will then rescan and find the firewire drives and show their icons as well as the internal drive icons.
    . Select the firewire drive (You did give it a unique name didn't you?) and the click the continue arrow on the right.
    . Watch the FW drive activity light and you should see lots of flashing and there you are - booting from the FW drive.
    I couldn't find any reference in all the help references to holding down the opt key to rescan, so maybe it is peculiar to this eMac?
    Give it a try and be sure to let me know if it works for you.
    Ian

    OK JMVP, but there is something a little strange here.
    After I booted the system whilst holding down the OPTION key, startup manager appeared and scanned for drives but only showed the normal internal drives. (By this time I had already released the OPTION key). I clicked the re-scan icon and same thing, still no FW drive. According to all the Apple help files it should show the external FW drive as well.
    But, when I held down the the OPTION key and clicked the rescan icon again, it rescanned and showed the internal drives AND the FW drive. Maybe it's an undocumented feature of startup manager, maybe it's peculiar to the FW drive I'm using
    I will try to update the firmware, but the manufacturers website says it doesn't need updating to work with Tiger. Other than this minor prob it already seems to be working OK. Just won't show up in the startup manager without rescanning with the option key pressed.
    I did notice whilst searching the help files that there is another option to boot from external drives:
    Hold down Option-Command-Shift-Delete keys during startup - this will Bypass primary startup volume and seek a different startup volume (such as a CD or external disk). It didn't work in my case.
    Curious?

  • Solaris x86: How to boot from Veritas mirror disk?

    Hello team,
    We are using trailware Veritas Storage Foundation (VxVM) on Solaris 10 x86 system and need help in booting from alternative boot disk(Mirror disk).
    Steps did :
    1. Mirrored the root disk group using veritas volume manager command *"vxrootmir"*
    2. Updated the bootpath with mirror disk path in /boot/solaris/bootenv.rc
    Updated the EEPROM information:
    # bootadm update-archive -R /a
    3. Edited the grub configuration file, /boot/grub/menu.lst
    Created the following entry similar to primary disk entry to allow the root disk mirror to be booted
    title Oracle Solaris 10 8/11 s10x_u10wos_17b X86 <VxVM: Alternate Boot Disk>
    findroot (rootfs0,0,a)
    kernel /platform/i86pc/multiboot
    module /platform/i86pc/boot_archive
    4. reboot -- -r
    At the time of boot, selected the newly added entry from the grub list and got the following error,
    *"Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected device and press a key".*
    I am unable to move further from here, is this because of the veritas trial version we are using ?
    Please help in resolving this issue and also explain the step by step process of booting from alternative boot disk on a x86 machine.
    Let me know if you find anything inappropriate. Looking forward for your replies.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi--
    I have not seen this message before but a quick google search says that is pretty common and is related to the system
    trying to boot from a different device (not the one you intended). Can you check your BIOS settings and possibly remove
    devices from the boot order setting... Otherwise, I would suggest running installgrub on the disk that you are trying to boot
    from.
    I'm curious why you are trying Veritas. Is there a Veritas feature that you need? You might consider trying ZFS if you haven't
    already. Its very simple to set up and use.
    Thanks, Cindy

  • [SOLVED] - Changing the root file system to a different disk

    Hi,
    I ran out of disk space on my / partition so I decided to buy a new hard drive, and copy everything over (but with different sized partitions). Hoewever, Arch is still using the old / partition rather than the new one.
    My new home partition is mounted on /home, as I expect. But for some reason, both the old and the new root partitions are mounted on /. Furthermore, I know that the old disk is being used for the root filesystem because conky tells my that it's 94% full, which is how full the old / on my old disk was.
    Here are the things I tried:
    First of all, I changed my fstab so that the root partition on my new disk gets mounted as /. (I also changed it for my /home partition similarly). Here are the relevant lines from my fstab:
    LABEL=new-hitachi-root / ext3 defaults 0 1
    LABEL=new-hitachi-home /home ext3 defaults 0 1
    UUID=3c1c1940-693f-4428-aa89-65e1403241f7 /old-home ext3 defaults 0 1
    UUID=4a84f8ae-4bad-4acf-8573-1a7b244b416c /old-root ext3 defaults 0 1
    After this, gparted reported that my old root partition was mounted under both / and /old-root. My new root partition is mounted under /, also. (So I have two partitions mounted under /, my old and new root partitions. However, the system is using the old root partition, since conky still tells my that / is 94% full).
    I'm not sure what else to try. I tried messing around with /boot/grub/menu.list, but I'm not sure how to modify it, I keep making my system unbootable. At the moment it looks like
    title Arch Linux
    root (hd0,0)
    kernel /vmlinuz26 root=/dev/disk/by-uuid/4a84f8ae-4bad-4acf-8573-1a7b244b416c ro
    initrd /kernel26.img
    (or it did look like that, before I modified it). That seems to be right, because the root entry says (hd0,0), which is the same as /dev/sda, which is the disk where my new root partition is.
    Cheers for any help! I'm pretty stuck until I can get some more space on my root partition.

    karol, thanks. Any idea how to get it to point to my new disk? I tried
    root=/dev/disk/by-label/new-hitachi-root ro
    but I couldn't boot from that, I got loads of errors... it couldn't find proc, it didn't even know the host name, loads of other errors. What is the new naming scheme?
    bangkok_manouel, do you mean grub? I modified /boot/grub/menu.list as described above, is there anything else I should do?
    Edit: I didn't post the whole fstab file, but boot is definetly in there. Actually, I'm still booting from the old disk, since I didn't want to boot from the new one until I got root and home right. (Is this bad?)
    My whole fstab:
    devpts /dev/pts devpts defaults 0 0
    shm /dev/shm tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0
    LABEL=callisto /callisto ext3 defaults 0 1
    LABEL=thebe /thebe ext3 defaults 0 1
    LABEL=new-hitachi-boot /new-boot ext3 defaults 0 1
    LABEL=new-hitachi-root / ext3 defaults 0 1
    LABEL=new-hitachi-home /home ext3 defaults 0 1
    UUID=3c1c1940-693f-4428-aa89-65e1403241f7 /old-home ext3 defaults 0 1
    UUID=4795b52b-f849-4bcd-8032-d1634550afdc /boot ext2 defaults 0 1

  • W2k8R2 Windows Backup - BMR on different disk configuration - How to move one parition of three parition to an other raid-disk?

    Hello folks,
    I need your help in following situation.
    My source-system has 1 RAID5 (600GB) over 5 HDDs. On the RAID-Disk are one primary partition (250GB) and 1 extended partitions (350GB).
    Because the hardware is out of support, I will migrate it to new hardware-server. I must minimized the downtime and the administrative effort. So I can't reinstall a new windows-installation, because 4 different software-licences are binding on SID. Additional
    a DFS-R is configured, so I need some hours to reconfigure it.
    The new destination-system has one RAID1 (300GB) that I will use it for windows-system, and one RAID 6 (1TB) that is planed for data.
    I has make a full backup (with all Critical) by using Windows Server Backup to a NAS storage. Than I has boot my destination system from Windows Server 2008 R2 media, and will make a recover. All Hard Disk is detected, after I install the storage-drivers. When
    I confirm the last step in windows-server-backup, windows-backup stop with error "Not enough space on harddisk 0"
    How can I move the extended partition to harddisk 1 (RAID6) durring BMR??? I cann't exclude the volume in backup-procedure, because the DFS-R is installed with some share on this disk.
    Has anyone a idea?
    Best regards

    Hi,
    I'm afraid we will not get it resolved. BMR will restore the partition information so you need at least a 600GB disk/RAID to restore both Drive C and D - it will create partitions on disk/RAID but cannot be separated restore to different disks/RAIDs.
    How about get another 300GB disk and change your system RAID from RAID1 to RAID5. (Or change RAID1 to RAID0 but of course you will lose fault tolerance ability).
    If you have any feedback on our support, please send to [email protected]

  • Can OS X 10.9 Authenticate An Active Directory User From A Different Trusted Forest

    I am able to authenticate with an AD account from a different trusted domain in the same forest as the domain the client is bound to on OS X 10.9. An AD account from a trusted domain in a separate forest cannot authenticate on the same client. The same AD account from the same external trusted domain in the same external forest can authenticate to a Windows 7 client bound to the same domain as the Mac client. It seems that OS X is incapable of cross forest authentication. It seems as though the directory services search path only includes the forest of the domain the client is bound to. Windows clients seem to be able to handle the referral process to a different forest, but a Mac client does not. Am I correct in this assumption? Has anyone accomplished cross forest authentication on an OS X client? If so, how? If not, what is the reason this can't be done?

    Well, I’ve made some encouraging progress.
    I’ve managed to log on!
    I deleted /var/db/.AppleSetupDone while booted into the recovery volume. I then created a new local admin user and, after a much longer than usual delay, got through the account creation stuff and arrived at last in the Finder, which was sluggish as heck.
    Checked user accounts, and according to system prefs they’re all there. Fired up Activity monitor and found that opendirectoryd was consuming 365%-405% CPU.
    I unbound the system from our Active Directory domain, not really expecting it to work but it did. cpu load dropped to nothing.
    I rebooted, was able to log in as the original local admin user (woohoo! Progress!)
    Re-bound it to AD and boom CPU shot right back up.
    I unbound it again and am currently backing up the drive with CCC (conversation with professor yesterday “Time Machine? What’s Time Machine?”)
    If CCC dies, I’ll run DW on the original, but I’m now pretty sure my issue is a borked opendirectory database.
    Plan going forward:
    I’ll nuke&pave the iMac, restore the apps, but NOT users and computer settings from the CCC during the re-install, create a new local admin, re-bind to AD see what happens.
    If it doesn’t go nutz again, I’ll have him log on so it creates the local directory, copy over his original user directory from the backup drive, make it his actual home on the disk again and in theory he should be ok.
    It’s amazing how often just laying my problem out in public makes my brain think of new things to try :-)
    I don't know if this is directly applicable to an OpenDirectory-bound system rather than Active Directory, but it might work for you.
