BBLink account is preventing priority hub from working for emails

The priority hub on my phone was working fine when I got my Q10 a couple months ago. Somewhere along the way it stopped working, but just for my email accounts--BBM, text, twitter, etc, kept working. I have spent some time trying to figure out why this happened, reading forum posts here and such with no luck.
In the end I settled for making some manual rules that mimicked the priority hub behavour. It was a pain, but it worked.
Then I had a seperate issue when adding a new email account, where my outlook contacts kept duplicating on my phone. In the end, I fixed this by removing accounts I wasn't using on the phone (mainly the bblink one), and deleting all my local contacts phone information, then readding the outlook account. This stopped the outlook duplicates from being created.
But low and behond, my priority hub started working again for emails. Which was great. But then a few days later, it stopped working again.
I figured out it happened when I plugged my phone into my computer to back it up. At this point the "bblink" account was made on my phone again. Then the priority hub stopped working for emails again.
Deleting the "bblink" account once again fixed the priority hub issue.
It's not a big deal, I can just delete this "bblink" account every time I back up my phone. But I have the Link program on my computer set to not sync or auto start anything. I just plug in the phone, run the backup, and unplug it.
So I'm just wondering if anyone knows what is going on here, or has experienced something similar.

Check your Link set for contacts and calendar and turn that off.

    Which firmware your N8 having now? You can check firmware by choosing Call, then type *#0000#.
    My N8 works fine on security setting and able to define Phone auto lock period, by choosing Menu>Settings>Phone>Phone management>Security settings>Phone and SIM card>Phone auto lock period>User defined>Lock after(minutes)
    You will prompt to enter Lock code each time u define auto lock priod or enable/disable auto lock.

    Posted this elsewhere too; odd thing is both Safari AND Chrome work just fine. Did the suggestions but nothing fixed it, including deleting the app and trying to downgrade to a couple of versions back.
    Printing or even print preview on FF results in a blank page. Tried updating the "Add On" but that didn't do anything either. May have to give up on using FF. This is for my mother-in-law's machine and it works fine on my MacBook Pro at home. She's using an iMac with OS X 10.6.4 and this started with a recent upgrade.

    The meeting invite is being sent from a Computer through the Outlook 2010 Email Client. Both Computer and Outlook 2010 are set to Eastern Time. The OWA (Outlook Web Access) for the 2007 account is set to Eastern Time. The Outlook 2010 Email Client is connected to an Exchange 2007 account and the Exchange server for the exchange 2007 account is located in Chicago (Central Time) and is set to Central Time. When the meeting invite is sent from the Outlook 2010 Client the recipient receives the invite on his/her iPhone(set and located in the Eastern Time Zone) and a mime-attachment.ics file is attached to the meeting invite email. There is no info displayed in the subject line or message body. If the iPhone user opens the attachment it displays the meeting date and time and any other info that was sent from Outlook. The Outlook 2010 user sets the meeting for 10:00am to 11:00am. when the meeting invite mime-attachment.ics file is opened on the iPhone the meeting is displayed as 9:00am to 10:00am. if the iPhone user adds the ics file to his/her calendar it adds a meeting event that is scheduled 1 hour earlier than it is supposed to be. I had the iPhone user to set Time Zone support on and off and there is no change.

    To execute a process flow with an email activity, you may need to access different host machines and ports. New security measures implemented in Oracle Database 11g Release 1 restrict access to hosts and ports. You must explicitly grant access to hosts and ports that the email activity accesses using the DBMS_NETWORK_ACL_ADMIN package.
    For example, the user OWBSYS needs to send an email through the mail server mail.example.com using port 25. The DBA must perform the following steps:
    1. Create an Access Control List (ACL) for the user OWBSYS using the following command:
    EXECUTE DBMS_NETWORK_ACL_ADMIN.CREATE_ACL
    (’acl_for_owb_cc.xml’,’ACL for Control Center’,’OWBSYS’,’CONNECT’);
    The ACL has no access control effect unless it is assigned to network target.
    2. Assign the Access Control List (ACL) to a network host, and optionally specify a TCP port range. Use the following command:
    EXECUTE DBMS_NETWORK_ACL_ADMIN.ASSIGN_ACL (’acl_for_owb_cc.xml’,’mail.example.com’,25)

    I have had my Charge for about a month, and really like it.  However, I cannot get a ringtone notification to work for email.  I've followed the steps in guide- what suggestions do you have?  Thanks.

    We can help you resolve your ringtone concerns. We do need some more details about your issue. What difficulty are you having in assigning the ringtone? Does it give you an error when you try to pick the ringtone, or does it allow you to assign it but when the phone rings doesn't work? 
    What have you tried? Have you pulled out the battery? Have you tried another ringtone? Are these stock ringtones or are they downloaded? 
    Please reply with some more details, and I'm sure we'll get you on a path to resolution. 

  • 100% thread pool/CPU usage prevent MII Applications from working

    Hello to all,
    our MII Applications were running on MII 11.5 (windowsserver 2003, with IIS) without any problems.
    We migrated these MII Applications  to SAP xMII Version 12.0 SP8, SAP NW 7.00 SP20, Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.4.2_22-rev-b03, mixed mode).
    Since then we faced several problems that prevent the MII Applications from working, e.g.
    - 100% application thread pool usage rate
    - 100% CPU usage
    - awful lot of http connections
    Several sap support calls didn't find the root cause.
    Workaround: restart sap system weekly
    Does anyone has any idea how to go on?

    sap support told us to install this Java version.
    Furthermore SAP Note 716604 says "do not use J2SE 5.0" and "Currently, we recommend 1.4.2_24 b06".
    Any more ideas?

  • Software that prevents key combinations from working

    Under OSX 10.4.7 the key combination "shift + l" does not produce "L" on my iMac. Everything else seems fine including lower case L. If I start the iMac from the OS software installation disk (OSX 10.4.4) or startup in Windows XP using Boot Camp or start OSX in "safe mode" then "shift + l" does produce "L".
    Also, I have an eMac (also OSX 10.4.7) for which the key combination "shift + /" does not produce "?". If I startup in "safe mode", "shift + /" does produce "?".
    I have never installed any software for setting "hotkeys". How do I identify what software on my hard drives is preventing these key combinations from working?

    Sorry about posting in "iMac G5". I have no idea how I failed to get it in the Intel iMac forum.
    I used the "Activity Monitor" utility to see what was different between "safe mode" and my regular startup. I noticed that the "Speech synthesis server" was one difference. I found the "Speak selected text when the key is pressed" option in the preferences pane for "Speech". That was the problem.
    It would be nice if there was a warning message that said, "You will not be able to type '?' if you assign that key combination to Speech."

  • Validation in Accounting-how to get it to work for PO creation?

    I created a validation rule from GGb0 to limit cost center assignment to some G/L expence accounts.
    It works great for all the transactions that get posted to BSEG: Journal Entries, IR, GR.
    How can i get it to work (to validation if it is a correct cost center with G/L expense account) during creating a PO type K (for expense PO's) from ME21N?
    I know that it is a complete set of tables and PO is not triggering the validation because it is not creating a FI document, but i still need it to work!
    Any ideas?

    Can you please list out the coding done with this validation rule in Controlling via tcode OKC7 and/or GBB0.
    I am using R/3, V 4.7 and not ECC.
    While creating a Purchase Order or Purchase Requisition, Project expense account should only generate a validation error when an Account Assignment Category K (Cost Center) is selected but should not generate any validation error when the same project expense account is selected with an account assignment category A (Asset). Please note that this project expense account is commonly used expense ccount in PR/PO for thel fixed asset purchases and would like to have a validation rule so that it cannot be used with any cost center. Figured out there are two options 1. BAdI User Exit and 2. CO Validation Rule.
    I would appreciate if anyone has the detailed coding part of the complex CO validation rule via OKC7 and commitment management part?

  • Prevent Scheduled Build from Running for Check-Ins Committed by Build Server

    Hi there,
    I am using TFS 2013.
    I have a scheduled nightly build that runs only when there have been check-ins.
    The problem is that my build process checks-out/in a couple files used for custom versioning. This is done under the machine account of the build server.
    Even though no check-ins were committed by developers - the scheduled build sees the check-ins done by the build server and thus, executes another nightly build.
    Is there a way I can prevent scheduled builds from running if the only check-ins were from the build machine?

    I don't think we can achieve this kind of conditional trigger from TFS build definition. We had a similar situation so we disabled the TFS build and started the build using Powershell (windows scheduled task). Below is the powershell script. The scripts
    gets the history for the day and checks for the user passed as parameter if even one changeset is not by the user the script will queue a build.

    Push isn't working for my email on iPhone and iPad for aol carrier

    I have the paid AOL accounts, and they were supposed to get back to me today and have not, thus far. It has to be an issue with AOL's email server.  The tech that I spoke to over the weekend said that he thought that it may be an issue with their server.  Almost 3 weeks ago, AOL's email server was hacked.  They said that 2% of their accounts were affected, and one of my AOL accounts was in that 2%.  They didn't admit for over a week that it was their server that had been hacked, and instead made everyone affected think that it had been their own computers that had been hacked.  I have to believe that this is an AOL issue again.  Everything was working fine with my iPhone and my iPad, and suddenly my email was nolonger being pushed on Thurs night/early Friday.  If I get an answer from AOL, I will certainly post it here.

    We're trying to get a pulse from the community on what email clients and platforms you guys are using, especially in the case where the threading of email subscriptions isn't working. I have heard that threads can be grouped in Entourage on a Mac.
    Can anyone Mac/Entourange users confirm this?
    Would appreciate everyone's input on what mail client/OS you are using and if threading works for you or not. I know for the majority of you it isn't working, and we're looking at ways this can be addressed.

    Here's the first entry: I use Microsoft Outlook on Windows XP and my email notifications don't thread.

    I think there is some confusion here on what is to be considered
    threading and what isn't. Since I may have been causing some of that
    confusion by not being as exact as I could have been in my many rants
    about the subject, allow me to attempt to clarify a bit.
    First, lets start with a sequence of messages to define a topic (I am
    trying to avoid the word thread here). Somebody starts a topic with
    message A. The first reply to message A is message B. The second reply
    to message A is message see. In flat view the topic will look like this:

    In threaded view it will look like this:

    Now somebody is going to reply to message B in the topic. In flat view
    this will look like:
    A
    B
    C
    D
    In threaded view this will look like:
    A
    -- B
    ---- D
    -- C
    Strictly speaking only such a tree-like view is considered threading.
    For instance what Gmail does is not strictly threading (more about that
    later). Threading works because every email message has a Message-ID
    that is a unique identifier of that message. When an email client
    replies to a message it will create a new unique Message-ID for that
    message, but it will take the Message-ID from the original and put it in
    the References header so email replies have a pointer back to the
    original message. If a threading email client receives a message with a
    References header and it also has the email message to which that
    References header points, the email client will show that message as a
    child of the original. (This is still somewhat of a simplification and
    skips over multiple IDs and the In-Reply-To header, for the exact
    working see RFC 2822 section 3.6.4.)
    This is what the whole Mozilla family of email clients does and most of
    the old school Unix email clients as well.
    What Gmail does (and what you can configure many email clients to do) is
    to group messages by subject. Such a group of messages is in Gmail terms
    a conversation. Then within that conversation messages are sorted by
    date. This is different then threading. If a Gmail user had read
    messages A, B and C of our example above and then navigated away, upon
    returning to the conversation he will not find message D on the third
    position in the conversation, but on the fourth. I think we should (and
    I will try to remember to) refer to this behaviour as grouped display,
    and not as threaded display.
    Now, how can we use this to fix these forums?
    The first part is simple: just add a References header to all outgoing
    email. Only email clients that are configured to thread will do
    something with that, so it will fix threading for those who want to use
    threading without breaking anything for the email clients that don't
    want to thread.
    The impact of this on the Jive advancedemail plugin should be minimal.
    Every outgoing email should just set its MessageID to the ID property of
    the outgoing ForumMessage then test for the value of the parentMessgeID
    property and if it is present set the References header. Append
    @mail.forums.adobe.com to all IDs and you are done.
    This will not fix the issue for the email clients that use grouping. To
    (mostly) fix it for them, the simple solution is to just move the unique
    code in the subject line forward until it appears before the "Re: " in
    the subject. Email clients that use grouping are aware there might be an
    code in the subject to indicate a message is a response (in English
    usually "Re: ", other languages use something like "antwoord: " or
    "resp: " etc.). They will group based on what is in the subject after
    the "Re: " so that will put all the replies together.
    It may not entirely fix it though, since the first message in a topic
    doesn't have "Re :" it might be you end up with 2 groups, one with just
    the first message and one with all the answers.
    I already tested this and the Jive email import functionality does
    support the code being in a different position, so it is just the
    sending part that would need to be modified.
    This does have a huge downside for the email clients that use neither
    threading nor grouping (such as webmail clients like Squirrelmail and
    IMP). If you use such a client and do a simple sort on the subject now
    it will sort more or less correctly. If the code moves forward the
    sorting there will disappear.
    The last and final step / option is to change the Jive email import
    functionality not to depend on that code but instead to depend on the
    References header that an email client will put in the reply. That is a
    significant change on the Jive side (and if Jive is going to do that I
    have more suggestions to improve their core email system). Then
    everybody can thread, group and sort however he likes, but Jive would
    need to define a backup strategy for messages where an email client
    fails to include a References header.

  • How can i prevent my C3 to check for email automat...

    I have a C3 and am using it for email. I have set up my hotmail and google mail account.
    Every day at 9:00 my phone checks for email automatically That is no what I want. I only want it to check for messages when I ask for it.  i have a plan with a fixed amount per day, regardless how much I use it.
    So the automatic check for email says to my provider "you can charge this phone for the day". And that is not what I want if I do not intend to use the phone for the rest of the day.
    Where can I set that automatic checking for messages is turned off.

  • Neuratron's Photoscope prevents Paper Capture from working

    I have been using Acrobat 9 Professional for some time without any problems.  I installed Sibelius5 with Neuratron's Photoscope a few weeks ago and Paper Capture simply stopped working. I tried repairing the installation, and finally uninstalled Acrobat and re-installed it to no avail. I have spent literally hours trying to fix this problem.
    I finally did a search here on the Acrobat forums and found the post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1178373#1178373
    I found a copy of the Paper Capture driver drs832.dll located here: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\plug_ins\PaperCapture and copied over the ******* version that Photoscope dumped in C:\Windows\System32. Now my Acrobat Paper Capture applications work perfectly once more.
    I just wanted to share and prevent anyone from going through what I've gone through.
    Acrobat ERROR Message encountered:
    "Acrobat could not access the recognition service because:  Unable to locate the Paper Capture recognition service.  Your installation may be corrupt. This is probably due to either a low memory situation or a corrupt installation.  If the problem is not clears up by shutting down other applications and/or rebooting, then please re-install Acrobat.
