Extended search by default with closed SC actived as well??

Hi,
Does anybody know if I can put Extended search by default with show also closed SC actived as well.
Could I put a customer field in first place in the search criteria??
It might be done using screen variant or BADI? or I should modify templates or standard code.

How disable the Extended Search default in the BBP_AUCTION

Hi Experts,
How could I disable the Extended Search in the BBP_AUCTION in SRM 4.0 ?
Just for one user I getting the Extend Search by default and the message "(Note: Extended Search Active)".
We need the simple search default fot this user.
We try apply the SAP Note 990490 but the problem did not solve.

Extended search problem in SRM

Hi,
We have a problem with extended search in SRM while checking the status.
In Status
If I have selected 'Awaiting approval' and clicked on start button, now it is showing all the SC of awating approvals status.
If I have selected 'In approval inbox' and clicked on start button, now it is showing all
the SC of 'In your Inbox' & 'Awaiting approval' status.
If I have selected both 'In your inbox' in status and check 'Bought on Behalf of' and clicked on start button, now it is showing the SC's of 'Awaiting approval' and normal SC(without creating with on behalf of).
What might be the issue. How to solve.
Any OSS Notes available for this issue.

Hi Jagan,
If your SC is considered as complete by SRM (but with a fixed vendor and not a preferred vendor) the system will check if it can create a PO in R/3.
For this, each item will request a META_INTERPRETE_DATA to R/3, asking if it can create a PO. If R/3 considers this data as incomplete, it will reply to create a PR.
Usual cases of R/3 PR creation instead of PO:
- prefered vendor in SRM (and not a fixed one)
- custom checks in user exits in R/3
- error messages in R/3 (ex: O6 334 In the case of a fixed vendor, please enter info record)

SC : Extended Search on Header Customer field

Hi ,
I have created customer defined field on Header & Item in SRM 5.0 .
I am showing both of them on Extended Search in Check Status of Shopping Cart .
But I can search on the basis of Item Customer field <b>not</b> on the basis of Header Customer Fields .
There is flaw in BBP_PDH_SEARCH_SC FM on header Cus. field .
Has anyone encounter these problem .

Extended search for contracts

When I select a purchasing organisation in the extended search criteria, the search results returned are those that are expected. However if I change the purchasing org the old value is retained. If I delete the old value and search again it is put back into the search field by the system. Also, when I choose a product category sometimes the results give me all the contracts when I am expecting no results.
We have applied notes 1088749 and 1067327...still the issue persists....
Is there a new note for this issue?

LSO - Search and Extended Search are not working

Hi ,
From the learning portal we click on Search and Extended Search , nothing is diplay by the system . We have course matching the description . Also in the back office : LSO_TRAININGTYPE_SEARCH_C seems to be OK .
Any help will be welcome, should work out of the box .

Extended search account assignment BBP_POC

Guys,
Got a question about the account search in BBP_POC. Don't know where to look anymore, but it's probably easy to solve.
When a user searches (in extended search) on account assignment Cost Center with a value he gets a result.
When he changes the account assignment type to Internal Order and searches on a particular internal order there's no result. However, if you know the PO number and search on that directly a result is shown.
Non of the users are able to get a result on account assignment type Internal Order.
Any idea what the solution could be?
We're SP18 of SRM 5.0 ECS

Set the Finder's Search Box default to current folder? How?

How do I set the the Finder's default Search Box parameters to be the current folder that I'm in, instead of searching the whole flamin' computer? (I have to quickly click on the folder name) And also instead of the default being 'Contents', how can I set it to be 'File Name'? It would speed up so many of my searches. I could still click on 'This Mac' to get that, and 'Contents' likewise.

I complitely agree and very very frustrated with that problem too just wrote this to feedback system:
The problem that many people find is that when you have a finder windows open and that you browse a file like "Appplication" then due to the large number of application you use the search bar by taping the application name.
That's where the problem come from.
Once you tape the application name it start searching in the all computer ! instated of in the file
The second problem is that he is searching the content and it will be better to have as default by file name.
If i wanted to do that kind of search i will use the spolight button next to the clock and people want that search bar in finder to be searching in the folder you are in not all computer.
Last problem is that we don't have a custom option in spotlight preference or finder preference.
I would recommend to have that default search in finder change to search in file ONLY and to add Spotlight option in the Finder Preference for people to be able of customizing it.
When you use that search bar everyday many times a day it becomes very very frustrating.

Search settings - default to current folder and "file name" ?

99.9% of the time, when I enter something in the search bar of the Finder window, what I want to do is:
1. search is the folder that I'm in
2. search for the "file name", and
3. then sort the results by "date modified".
Currently, problem is:
1. I can only change the search area (which defalts to "This Mac") after the search has begun.
2. Likewise, the default is "content"
3. There's not even an OPTION for "date modified". The "Last Opened" option is rarely useful.

Worse, the same is true for the "Kind" info taken directly from Finder windows. Try entering "Plain Text" in the Kind-Other search. I have hundreds of these but the search turns up exactly one, & it isn't even in my Documents folder.
(Before anybody suggests it, yes I have rebuilt the Spotlight index repeatedly, using both the Privacy pane method & Terminal commands, & it makes no difference.)
The point is not to rant but to demonstrate how poorly thought out & unreliable the app remains. I feel the problems are so obvious & widespread that we should not have to use the feedback page to tell Apple about them, but apparently we do. It really is as if it was designed by people that don't have a clue about what a search engine should do or how to integrate it into a user friendly environment.

SAP CRM Search Help - defaulting values in search help screen

Hi All,
I am working on search help object in service order(Amount allocation ) BTAMNTALL component view name vIEW:BTAMNTALL/HdrBillplanDet and field name STRUCT.AC_ASSIGNMENT. in that block if we select account assignment type as ERP cost center it will give standard search help in Select account assignment field.
Its basically calling the standard search help CRMT_AC_ASSIGN_KOSTL_E. After pressing F4 it will display the popup Controlling area cost center and description. Basically I need to default the Controlling area in F4 help based on some logic.I am not sure where to write code for this one.
Please find the attachment where I need to default the value. any help is appreciated.

At least can you read the document I provided carefully? the point 2.3.1.2 give you the answer.
Anyway if the document doesn't specify "defining a default value" but give you some ideas/hints, you only need to use a little your imagination. Like:
1- Use a custom search help with a constant (static)
2- Use a custom search help with a search exit to determine the data that you need from the sales org of course you need to add the orgunit as an input parameter for the search help and supress the input parameter which will be determined in the search help exit (dynamic)
3- Create a value node for the context (hidden) and put the info you need once you select the sales org in the hidden attribute/s, this hidden attributes should be mapped in the get_v method (dynamic, not sure if this will work, I never tried, but will be nice if you try and give us some feedback)

Search help: default value for 'Maximum no of hits'

Not sure if this is possible and don't have a SAP system available at the moment ...
But check this out...
Is there anything in user profile ..
or check if the number of hits field has a PARAMETER ID associated with it...
Then in that case you might default a value other than 500 in your user profile.

Extending search help MAT1 in MM03

Hi All,
I need to extend MAT1 . I have extended this by using the below fields.
MAT1W MARA-MEINS (Base Unit of Measure)
MARA- BSTME (Purchase Order Unit of Measure)
I am getting the fields and its values when i am testing as an individual search help. But it is not capturing the values into the transaction when you select the entry.Please suggest me how can i proceed with this.
