Before i had my own computer i plugged my iPhone into my sisters so that i could save my photos, now when i plug it into my own mac it says my iPhone is my sisters

how do i change my iphone name and keep my things seperate from my kids devices and share the same apple id?

Settings>General>About>Name. That is where you change the name of your device.
Sharing an Apple ID is not too difficult to use when sharing iTunes and App Store content, but you may want to use a separate Apple ID for iCloud to keep iMessage from getting confusing.
