When i check the information of my mac it says that i have 14 gb storage in movies, but i erase everything i had in this computer and is still full.

hi when i go to the information of my mac it says that i have almost no storage available, but it says that im using 14 gb in movies, 7 gb photos and 53 gb in others... i dont know why is that. as i errase almost all the information i had in this computer. i just havent erase the tings i have in my mail as it contains all the information i have of work.
how can i find this items that say that are taking so much of my computer... help as now is starting to run very slow.

How much available space do you see when you right click on your hard disk (usually Macintosh HD) and use Get Info?
How does that compare to the free space at  > About This Mac > More Info… > Storage?
If there is a large difference it could be Time Machine snapshots that can use up to 80% of your disk. This is not a problem, it is a feature. To gain the disk space back, plug in your Time Machine disk and run a backup.

Foxfire error message that I already have the application running. But when I check the system manager, I don't see that Foxfire is running.

Often, when I click on Foxfire, I get an message saying that Foxfire is already running and I have to close it to start it agai. But when I look at the sys manager (ctl/alt/delete) it does nopt show that Foxfire is running.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

It says I have over 150 gigs of video on my hard drive. But I have gone through and deleted almost all of what shows up, still it says there is roughly the same amount on the hard drive. Where are these files? I want to delete them so I can have my hard drive clear.

Boot from your DVD by switching on the Mac & inserting the disc, restart it & hold the "C" key. Once the installer window loads & you have selected your language, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities Menu. You will then need to select your disk from the menu within Disk Utility & choose how you wish to format. It should be formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
Once it has formatted, you should then be able to install the OS.
PLEASE REMEMBER...that formatting a disk will completely erase it's content. Be sure that you don't wish to recover any of your previous content before doing any of the above.

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

I take it you are not the administrator for the site? If so, you would be given the option to unlock the page (it will be near the top of the screen in a yellow box).
Do you have access to the site outside of Contribute. If you can't unlock it via the administrative function mentioned above, you need to go into the site using Windows Explorer (if it's a local development site) or an FTP client and find a file with the same name as the page but with a .lck extension and delete it. That will unlock the page.

When I open either package I get a message saying that I have 00 days left in the trial and to continue I need to purchase a licence or start a trail. If I click on purchase a Licence the once I log in with Adobe ID I can get started. I have contacted Adobe chat support 6 times. They suggest deleting an opm.db file and assure me that this will sort the problem and within 24 hours back to square one

1) Apps are not part of the backup, only data stored by 3rd party apps. But you can redownload the apps for free again if you use the same account you did when you bought them the first time. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519

3) Backup your itunes+ library (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1382 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1751), which will copy your Mobile Applications folder, and save your iphone backup folder as well
In other words, maintaining a backup of your computer is essential.

In order to download iTunes 10.7, which requires OS X 10.6.8, you have to buy OS X 10.6. It's available from the online Apple store, in the US by calling 800-MY-APPLE, or online here. After OS X 10.6 installation, run Software Update until there are no more updates available, at which point you'll be at OS X 10.6.8 and can install iTunes 10.7.
