BeginAnimations: starts an animation but how do you stop it?

I've been using the following code snippet to start an animation:
[UIView beginAnimations:animationID context:nil];
[UIView setAnimationDuration:8];
[UIView commitAnimations];
but how do you stop it (prematurely)?

This may sound ridiculous but how do you stop a song playing ?
I can play a song, pause a song, shuffle and many other things but I can not find any function that just stops it altogether!
In video you press the "done" button but no such thing appears in music - am I going mad?!I think that the "Close" just means "make this little music window go away now," not "Close down the music app." At least, that's how it's always worked for me (before and after the upgrade). If you are playing music and doing something else and bring up that music window on top of what you're doing, you still need to hit pause in order to stop the music.
If you hit pause and the "Now Playing" arrow is still up, it doesn't really mean much except that you can easily get back to what you were playing if you go back into your music. Your music isn't still playing. It's just holding your place. That's how I think of it, at least. -

In iMovie look in the Event Library. You should see an Event named "iPhoto Videos" (assuming the videos are compatible with iMovie).
Each time you open iMovie it will look for any new videos in iPhoto and place thumbnails in the iPhoto Videos Event. You will be given a choice as to whether you want the thumbnails generated now or later. The thumbnails will appear in chronological (date) order in the Event window. Note that the clips themselves are not actually imported to iMovie - they are simply referenced by iMovie (that is, iMovie points to the clips in iPhoto).
Drag clips (or parts of clips) to a project. To start a new project, select File > New Project from iMovie's menu.
Please ask if you need more advice. Otherwise, click on Help > iMovie Help in the menu. There you will find plenty of good information about how to use iMovie, including short video tutorials.

PS CC 2014 DNG and RAW 8.5 did not update with the rest of the CC package. I downloaded/installed the DNG/RAW converter but how do you install w/i CC 2014 plugins
Thanks John. I have tried solutions 1 to 3 from (-http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.h tml) and they do not work. So I presume that all I can do is to remove all 25 CC applications and start again!
Incidently, ( http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ ) does not list Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 as an update even though Adobe have announced that it is available (http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2014/04/camera-raw-8-4-and-dng-converter-8-4-now-a vailable.html). The same applies for Adobe Premiere Pro 7.2.2 (http://blogs.adobe.com/premierepro/2014/04/premiere-pro-cc-7-2-2.html). If they are not available this would explain why I cannot download them but I am very suprised that Adobe didn't mention this when I contacted them.

Is this for a computer model or an iDevice model? If the former you've posted in the wrong forum. But here's the answer.
Open General preferences in System Preferences. There are two options you can check that affect this behavior:
Check the boxes you thing you prefer. When you next shutdown the computer you should be asked in a dialog about reopening applications on restart. Select the option to not reopen. -

Not sure what you mean. Deleting a POP account only deletes the messages stored in the account’s mailboxes, not any messages stored in custom “On My Mac” mailboxes, if that’s what you mean. It’s not that Mail goes after your mail trying to delete as much as it can. It’s just that if a mail account is deleted, then its mailboxes cannot exist anymore...
That said, instead of deleting the account right away, you can just disable it (i.e. turn OFF Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > Enable this account), leave it that way for some time, and delete it only after making sure you didn’t miss anything while the account was disabled.
BTW, if you back up your data, and the ~/Library/Mail folder in particular, you won’t have to worry about accidentally losing anything as a result of doing something like that...
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library. -

When you eneter information into iTunes Producer for uploading, the info must match what is in the internal metadata. In this case, the book is called Mississippi, but in iTunes Producer it is spelled Misssissippi. There is an extra "s". This will cause an error.

In Beehive you can create wiki pages but how do you ....
Add an image and then put a link under it, in html it's easy you wrap the image in a <a href.... > </a> link but how do you do the same in a wiki page. There was nothing in the documentation for Oracle Beehive that describes the syntax for wiki pages and what you can and can't do.

If you right-click an image on a web page you can select to
"Block Images from [the url of the site]".
This works well, particularly to make the page printer-friendly, but how do you reverse this choice to see the images again?You can see all permissions for the current page in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
If it is from a different domain then use this:
*A way to see which images are blocked is to click the favicon (<i>Site Identification</i> icon) on the left side of the location bar.
*A click on the "More Information" button will open the Security tab of the "Page Info" window (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
*Open the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Page Info" window.
*Select the first image and scroll down though the list with the Down arrow key.
*If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain. -

It has options to "scan to..." If I scan using Image Capture, I scan it to the desktop (jpeg). If you want to get it into iPhoto, open iPhoto and import the picture.

How Do You stop Auto opening apps?
How do you stop the previous apps from auto starting when you start your machine? I have already turned off the retsore windows in system prefes and I dont have any auto startup items... so what gives, can someone tell me how to stop them from opening up? I suppose I could go and close every app before I take my laptop off its power plug (battery is dead now days)... but I was just hoping there was some otehr way rather than going into each app before I pick up and run.
