Beginner question: no vlaue from dimension fits,want totake "all" element

My next question, this time an OWB-question (or maybe a general DWH question).
The scenario:
I have to load data into a cube (from different sources) , but not all rows to load have got a corresponding dimension value. Why? Sample:
I have rows where I can say the it is a call,chat or mail. A transaction can be distributed to call,chat and mail. For Example 10 EUR mail, 10 EUR chat, 0 EUR call. But from one source I can not say it is from call, chat or mail. I have the sum of all in the measure.
I designed dimensions in this way ( for example) Dimension REG_PATH:
ALL-element (node) and the leafes
-mail
-chat
-call
Levels: ALL_REG_PATH, REG_PATH
hierarchy STANDARD with Levels in this order
ALL_REG_PATH
REG_PATH
So when I chose in my frontend (not an Oracle product)
the ALL-element I see all of the objects.
Now I want to load data with call, chat or maybe with the key for the all-element. Ok, no drill down is possible, but it is ok. When I load the data, rows will be load wit call, chat , but when I try to load data also with the value for the all element no data will be load (cube build log say all data loaded?!?).
Can someone explaine what is wrong, why I cant load the data ? Is it not possible to load thne data with the valu from the node ?

I am using the newest Version OWB Version 11.2.0.3 , the AWM – Client 11.2.0.2.0B.
I designed the dimensions and the Mapping with OWB. Yes, I load my data into AW.
I have different loaded Cubes in our AW, so the load function.
It is raining in Berlin :-(

The User who entered in the previous screen has his credentials like username stored in SAP SYST field sy-uname.
Please refer to the following link.

try to code the message or use WRITE TEXT in the Userexit.
based on the following.
data: g_msg type string.
Change the sy-uname to character.
concatenate "Welcome to the Screen of ERP Training" sy-uname to g_msg
write g_msg.
Please do revert if the above is not correct solution for your problem

Menus popping and keeping me from clicking/Safari wants login all the time
I bought this iMac in Jan. I suffered through viruses and hacking with four XP's. I bought a Mac so as to never be in that **** again. Well I've been reading sysprofile logs and watching the records of apps I've never used. Today I saw fax verifications when I've never sent nor received one. My folders and files change all the time. For example, right now my desktop is covered in all the logs I saved and filed in my documents files. When I open them, presto magic, the info I saved has changed to something else. Sometimes as many as 30 files pop open one by one on the desktop while iTunes plays the song Crazy. I am not making this up. Since I am new to iMac I didn't even recognize that someone had used Grab to put a picture of "share folders" with a "start" button in the middle of my desktop and it cannot be deleted. I know you think it's because I'm a novice, but, believe me, I got enough ed with those XP's to work for Microsoft. I called Apple and told them that I either need a white hat hacker or a priest to fix this baby. I mean I don't even know how to begin to tell someone over the phone all the things this crazy machine does. But for now, since I am trying to continue my online biz, I only ask that someone please, for the love of God, tell me 1) how to stop the pop-up menus that keep me from clicking anywhere--the menus don't even make sense or even remotely apply to what I'm doing. It's a pointer fight at every click. I have gone over sys prefs a hundred times. And, 2) how to keep Safari from popping a menu down every few minutes asking for a new kind of named login no matter how I change the keychain. Yes, everything is locked up tight. No one shares or has access to my computer, and yet Big Bang is saying "Goodnight" to me and I've never played it or even knew I had it. I read a lot of pages in this forum and read a lot of familiar sounding stuff. I feel so overwhelmed, disappointed and depressed. Thank you.

Hi, I have a beginner question. I'd like to make a click-track, but I want to use my own sounds, either recorded or from the internet. Can I do this with Logic Express 7, or do I need Logic Pro 7 and the EXS24?

RyanI think you can do it, but it might be a pain.
You could import a sample of a single click and just paste it into every beat on the Arrange Page.
Other than that, you might need the sampler included with Logic Pro -

You may want to contact Apple and check, if they can provide a copy. Insurance may depreciate the original value. I was offered residual value which i used to buy newer replacements, and provided the receipts for replacements back to insurance.

Firstly, when we scope the logic, it doesnt fetch the entire record from the member sheet. It just fetches the ID.
Secondly, we dont have the feasibility to read only the second ID and skip the others. However, one alternative is that you use the SELECT statement to store all the IDs in a variable, and then use a FOR loop. But this will loop through all the 5 IDs, as per your example. If you want to skip all the IDs except one, you should maintain some property, so that all the IDs are neglected which doesnt have a particular property value.

joyTo elaborate on "Mallee"'s answer, it's not good practice to load dimensional data into a fact table.
I guess what you mean is how to refer to dimensions when loading a fact table.
Simply refer to dimensions using lookups on the necessary dimensions, the lookup needs to be on the natural key you have that links facts to dimensions. Don't forget to use the dimension's surrogate key though when populating the fact table's foreign key columns pointing at the dimensions.

I need to compare my dimesnion to the fact tables that use this dimension and delete all the rows in the dimension with the Sks that are not being used on the fact tables.
I wrote a query to get all the Sks that are not being used. Now how can I feed the output of this query to the delete statement.
So i want to delete from dimension where Sk = result of the query.
Any ideas of a good way of doing this ?zooz -
This may help: Create a staging table that joins your fact table with your dimension or lookup table - thereby eliminating all values not in your fact table. Populate your dimension table(s) from the staging table. Truncate staging table.
We join to most of our fact tables early in our OWB mappings to solve this problem.

Flushing out old values from dimensions
Hi BEX Gurus,
I'm using transactional data in the cube level. Now I restrict majority of the dimensions using structures using the data.
Like say, you have Male/Female ratio. I had loaded M & F during 1st load. Now, when I load the 2nd time as MALE & FEMALE; in the BEx level, the dimension 'Gender' is displaying all the 4 values 'M','F','MALE','FEMALE'; even though the older values M & F are not listed on the info provider.
So, I just need a method to flush off the older values.
I had checked this out. But RSRV isn't helping much. [Dimension Table Larger than Fact Table|Dimension Table Larger than Fact Table]
Any ideas.

seemingly you will have to empty your cube when doing this step the pop up comes to ask if you also want to delete values in dimension tables, here is your issue.
If you have no possibilty to empty the cube because you do not have the psa for past values you could proceed in several steps.
Option A
1 create user exit variable not ready for input on these char if F then Female and so on for male.
2 copy the cube push data in it , empty as mentionned above the 1st cube with emptying dimension tables once done
3 full from the copy cube to the first one
4 continue with delta loads.
Test before applying to prod. this should work.
Option B
1 remain on the option of creating user exit variable not ready for input on the characteristic and hard code if F then Female and so on for male.

I'm new to Acrobat and LiveCycle in general. I'm working out of windows LiveCycle Designer 8.x and my question is as follows....
I'm working off of the "Quote" Form Template and what I am looking for is a way to make the rows of the Table expand as needed. I will be converting this Template into a "Purchase Order" form, and there will be many occassions where I will need to increase the table rows - perhaps onto a second or even third page - due to the volume of different items I will be seeking prices on at a given time.
Long story short I would like to take this "QUOTE" form template and make it such that if needed, I can expand the table size one row at a time, pushing the content beneath (Comments, subtotal, etc) onto the next page....
Hoping I have explained my query well enough, Could anyone provide me a solution or point me in the correct direction?

For the sake of hypotheticals I am creating a dynamic PDF form. This pdf is a Purchase Order Form, with a table in the Body that will expand/contract as the form user needs. (EXA- Default table size is 5 items, however user is creating an order for 12 items, he/she can increase the table rows to desired capactiy.) It will be a very simple layout. All data for the form will come from manual entry, no XML data binding going on.
My new question is as follows: Is there a way I can have this user's Adobe reader or Adobe acrobat software remember previous data entries, so that if 4 weeks after ordering widget X he/she needs to place another order for widget X, the software will autofill the table as he/she types into the table cell?
This would be similar to how Excel will start to autofill if it recognizes a previously entered value from some other cell in the worksheet (workbook?)

Paleolithic question : I went from Photoshop Elements 1 to 12 !

I went from Photoshop Elements 1 with a MacOS 9 Imac to Photoshop Elements 12 with a Macbook under Maveriks.
Some images made with Photoshop Elements 1 does not open in Photoshop Elements 12. images taken one month apart there several years may or may not open.
In "Get Info" from the Macbook, the system nevertheless recognizes these images as type "Adobe Photoshop Elements file".
But in the "More info" Macbook, those which open in Photoshop Elements 12 displayed: Dimensions: 591x886 / Space color: RGB / Alpha Channel: No / Opening: yesterday.
Those that do not open with Photoshop Elements 12 displayed nothing (only the opening time).
How to open these photos which are nevertheless in .psd format ?

MaheshIf I look at the available parameters in the helpfile 2 things are strange in my opinion:
1)the parameter is called approvalstatusmsg, approval status was the V4 naming convention of the function, right now it is called workstatus, so it might be a V4 function. Never used it myself but maybe it is something not correctly migrated to v5.
2) Even if it is working in V5, which I don't know for sure, then it is strange that you only have variables for Categroy, time and entity, since you can setup the workstatus for more then these 3 dimensions in V5 which you would also like to have in a case you set it up for more then 3 dimensions. For example for if you want to use Category,time,Entity & Product dimension in the workstatus, you would also like to inform the people which product is updated, since only just category,time and entity won't say that much.
So I think you best check with support if this function is still usable in V5 or if it is an old function from V4. and if it is working in V5, how do you get the right parameters in the variables when you setup workstatus for other dimensions then just Category/time/Entity.
I would like to know the results!

Beginner question: Can I apply one formula to all cells in a column?

I'm new to spreadsheets, so apologies for asking what is probably a very simple question.
I want to apply a formula that divides the values in one column (W) by values in another (AX) for a table containing 3000 rows, and outputs the result for each row into the appropriate cell in the new column I've created.

Besides Numbers '09 Help there are two other useful resources available in the Help menu: the Numbers '09 User Guide and iWork Formulas and Functions Help.
For "Beginner questions," my first choice would be the User Guide. For the specific question you asked, a quick scan of the chapter on "Using Formulas and Functions" (pp 83-96) will provide some useful information. Start in the neighborhood of page 93.

IMac shuts down at the end of safe reboot?
My 27 IMac failed to get past start up grey screen. I shut down, pulled all external Devices and restarted in safe mode. The start bar gets to 99% done in safe mode start up and Then the Mac shuts down. Any suggestions?
