Beginner Question - transferring username from login page to next page

Hi,
Beginner level Question ; would appreciate kind reply,TA
How can I implement the following scenario in abap?
I've a login screen wherein user enters requisite credentials.Once authenticated the transfer goes to next screen called erp_training.On this I need to implement the welcome ******* functionality where ******* represents the entered username from the first screen.(Like what happens in most emails when we login in)

Ur query:
Implement the welcome ******* functionality where ******* represents the entered username .
The User who entered in the previous screen has his credentials like username stored in SAP SYST field sy-uname.
Please refer to the following link.
Display information message in SAP Initial Screen
try to code the message or use WRITE TEXT in the Userexit.
based on the following.
data: g_msg type string.
Change the sy-uname to character.
concatenate "Welcome to the Screen of ERP Training" sy-uname to g_msg
write g_msg.
Please do revert if the above is not correct solution for your problem

Previous Page and Next Page functions lost

The Previous Page and Next Page icons suddenly vanished with only the Reload Page and Add Bookmark icons showing. The only way I am able to return to a previous page is through History. Will I have to reintall Safari? and, if so, can I just install Safari without jeopardizing my data not only in Safari but other applications? I have original OS X 10.2 and 10.3 discs. Can I reintall over the existing Safari app?

Sorry, but this didn't work at all. I think Safari has been corrupted and think I'll have to reinstall.
Do I deinstall? or can I reinstall over the existing Safari? And can I isolate Safari with my existing OS discs (I have both OS 10.2 and 10.3.5)?
I have an external hard drive. Could that be helpful in this process?
(I suspect that all my bookmarks will be lost, but can compensate by printing them out in hard copy).

It sounds like the navigation bar has just been disabled. Just right click next to a tab in the header and in the context menu that pops up, enable ''Navigation toolbar'' and ''Bookmarks toolbar''

How to diplay username who login in a another page with php

anyone please help me with whole codeing..m very new

One thought though, when I was playing around with that solution I noticed that everything gets filtered.
i.e. images, so maybe you chould place some thing on the page (image) and when it comes through .. do something. I know its not quite as good, because your back to having to put something on each page (or restricted pages).
The images won't be wrong, unlike the URL .. maybe not images maybe something else. good luck

How do I prevent Pages from pushing paragraphs to next page when they would otherwise begin on the last line of the previous page?

I am writing papers for school which have strict page limits so I can't afford to be losing lines at the bottom of a page because Pages thinks it looks better to have a new paragraph start on the next page. It does this automatically and I have to go back and manually format to get the first line of the paragraph to start on the last line of the previous page. This then creates problems down the line when I am editing so I would really like to be able to turn the feature off.
e.g. with Pages auto-formatting
-----page 1-----
     Paragraph #1 blah blah
blah blah blah
     Paragraph #2 blah blah
blah blah blah
-----page 2-----
     Paragraph #3 blah blah
blah blah
e.g. after manual formatting

New User Question: Transferring Project from PC to Mac

Hello All:
I'm hoping someone can give me a little advice. I just made the switch to Mac last week and I'm struggling a bit.
I have a large (full length feature film) project that I had been working on using a PC (Pinnacle Studio). The editing was 90% complete. However, it became necessary at this point to switch over to the Mac.
I rendered the project as an AVI file and was able to open it using Final Cut Express. However the guy at the Mac store told me that I would lose some quality doing it that way and that the best thing to do would be to re-capture the footage from the DV tapes directly into the Mac.
Okay. So here's my first question: Is there really no other way to do this without losing video quality? (It would mean a major set-back in our schedule and many, many hours of re-editing what has already been done.)
If I must re-capture the video, then I will do so - but I just want to make sure it's the right thing to do before I commit myself.
I'd appreciate any advice.

Thank you for responding Tom. I was pretty much resolved to doing that anyway. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't another way.
I have another question - I captured my first DV tape to the Mac.
During capture, the process stopped at every individual shot and went back frame by frame "locating timecode break". Once the tape was done - it automatically separated each shot into individual clips.
This is fine. But the problem is that there are now several seconds missing from the beginning of each shot. Some of the shorter clips are only a couple frames long because the majority of video was not captured.
How do I tell Final Cut to simply capture the entire tape as one long clip? I can separate the shots myself.
I appreciate the help - and sorry if I'm asking really obvious questions.

Beginner question: no vlaue from dimension fits,want totake "all" element

My next question, this time an OWB-question (or maybe a general DWH question).
The scenario:
I have to load data into a cube (from different sources) , but not all rows to load have got a corresponding dimension value. Why? Sample:
I have rows where I can say the it is a call,chat or mail. A transaction can be distributed to call,chat and mail. For Example 10 EUR mail, 10 EUR chat, 0 EUR call. But from one source I can not say it is from call, chat or mail. I have the sum of all in the measure.
I designed dimensions in this way ( for example) Dimension REG_PATH:
ALL-element (node) and the leafes
-mail
-chat
-call
Levels: ALL_REG_PATH, REG_PATH
hierarchy STANDARD with Levels in this order
ALL_REG_PATH
REG_PATH
So when I chose in my frontend (not an Oracle product)
the ALL-element I see all of the objects.
Now I want to load data with call, chat or maybe with the key for the all-element. Ok, no drill down is possible, but it is ok. When I load the data, rows will be load wit call, chat , but when I try to load data also with the value for the all element no data will be load (cube build log say all data loaded?!?).
Can someone explaine what is wrong, why I cant load the data ? Is it not possible to load thne data with the valu from the node ?

I am using the newest Version OWB Version 11.2.0.3 , the AWM – Client 11.2.0.2.0B.
I designed the dimensions and the Mapping with OWB. Yes, I load my data into AW.
I have different loaded Cubes in our AW, so the load function.
It is raining in Berlin :-(

Beginner question - link five items in menu to five pages in iPhone app

I can set up a menu to link to one page. But I'm confused on how I can set a table for five items to link to 5 different text pages.
That is all I want to do.
Also, if I'm doing a text page how do I completely eliminate the typewriter so it never appears.
Can anyone help?
I have been diligent in trying to accomplish this for 40 plus hours and failed.

"Menu to link to one page", and "Table for five items .." doesn't tell me enough to make any suggestions. As abpve, a little more precision might help. I need to understand what you mean by "text page". For example, if you mean an instance of UITextView which the user isn't going to edit, just set its [editable|http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/UIKit/Reference/ UITextViewClass/Reference/UITextView.html#//appleref/doc/uid/TP40006898-CH3-SW6] property to NO, and the keyboard will never appear.

How do I keep stroke from spilling onto next page?

My InDesign document has a few strokes that are on 45 degree angles and I'm trying to keep them from spilling onto the next page. I can't send them to the back because that won't work in this instance. Is there a way to keep them from showing on surrounding pages? Thanks!

A screen capture would help explain the problem. Are you saying you have stroked frames, rather than just open paths, that are rotated and cross the page boundary?

Smartforms how to print Table rows on to the next page automatically

SMART forms:
layout : Half of my A4 page is filled with templates, a small portion is footer, the middle portion is Table.
Note: i have set the condition for the footer as (tick the check box) "only after end of main window"
Output:
                   the template is displayed the table is populated on the first page, no footer on 1st page,
                on page 2 the table rows are printed (table rows were a lot) and finally footer got printed every thing as per normal
what i want is:
                 instead of the table lines printed in the middle of page 2 (bcz my main window table is in the middle, top is templates)
                 i want the table lines (after filling the main window table lines in the 1st page) to continue to print from the
                 top of the page on page 2 and immediately after the table rows finish. footer must be printed....
what should i be doing to get this output

yes i have done that already as u said, when i do it......
i created a new page (next page) directed first page to next page
on the next page my layout is like below
removed all the templates dragged the main window to the top of the page......
when i check the result, there is an empty line as the first line in the table (2nd page)
and also the footer (again a template) on the first page, which is ticked as ( print after end of main window) is NOT displaying.
