Beginner - Why my images are blurred?

I've just got started on InDesign CS6 and I'm having a problem with the images I place in the document.
All images are not sharp, although the original is.
I'm not stretching the images. Even if I let them in the original size, they lose resolution.
Most of them are JPEG images. Is that the problem?

I also had the same issue. I upgraded my iPhone 3Gs to the new software about a week ago. Yesterday the photos on my phone were blurry. I "googled" the issue and ended up here. Synced my phone and now all is well! thanks for the help.

Laserjet200 (HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw) prints, but images are blurred; sometimes the entire page and other times just the right half. Staples tech said the drum could be bad. Can this be corrected? Using W7 ultimate OS.

I see by your post that the images are blurred. I would like to help you.
Run a calibration on the printer.
On the printer touch the wrench, system setup, print quality, color calibration calibrate now.
Print a Diagnostics Page to see if you have the same results. Trying to determine if it is a hardware or software issue.
Go to Setup, Reports, arrow down and select Diagnostics Report.
I have provided a document with more steps for running a cleaning and checking print driver settings.
Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues.
Remove the toner and check to see if there is any toner on drum.
Make sure the paper type is selected to the media that you are using, not the default setting unspecified.
Please provide the following information so I can assist you better.
What were the results of Diagnostics Page and Print Quality Page?
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
What are the Ink levels?
Was there any damage on the toners?

When I try to print to a PDF from any program images are blurred

I try to print to PDF using word, or any other program. The resulting PDF is clear for text and all but the images are blurred.
Could There be a reason for this and how do I fix it? I am using the print preset when printing.

You're right, if a workaround works it's good. I don't use pdf's much either, usually just to send images if the receiver is on a PC as I work on a Mac. I had to send an image to a printer for a brochure so I tried to send a press quality pdf. I ended up sending a tif. I tried the Adobe posting to see someone had experience with this problem before calling my computer technician-at a cost. Your comment about fonts and locations prompted me to check files and read the window details more carefully, not just click continue.

IMovie 6 HD - TV Screen Images are blurred

How do I created iMovie DVD that plays clear images and text?
I do not want to keep wasting DVDs experimenting for clear result.
I created iMovie per instructions from another post:
imported screenshots of website using KenBurns effect;
set the effect to 1.0 to stop zooming, and did not allow iMovie to render movie when exporting.
Discussion indicated that blurred image in iMovie would be clear on TV screen.
Imported snapshots were crystal clear in Preview and Photoshop.
Imported iMovie to iDVD and burned DVD.
DVD plays blurred images and text.

Are you saying I should size any still images at 768x576 pix before importing them into iMovie since that is TV resolution?
If you are using PAL, yes. For NTSC, the resolution is 640x480 pixels.
Does it matter what dpi the images are?
No, the dpi is of NO concern in video.
If snapshot captures screen images at 72dpi,
does it help to increase dpi of image in Photoshop?
No.
or is that only interpolating dpi since capture was at 72dpi?

Images are blurred in Library module

I am having some new issues when viewing images in the Library module. I have been using LR for quite sometime and this is the first time. I saw a thread somewhere here that maybe this might be a bug. Is that correct. Let me walk you through some of the chronological process.
1-I was viewing RAW images in the Library module and noticed the images were trying to stay in focus. Then since that time the images have been rather soft, blurred.
2-I Optimized the Catalog, and changed the "preview settings". But it didn't not make any improvement.
3- I viewed the same images using Image Browser just for a comparison, and I was amazed how sharp the images were compared to LR. Keep in mind that I have never experienced this shooting RAW. I am aware that RAW images have imbedded JPG Preview images, but this is not the case
4- I am not editing, or making any changes, so need to suggest to view the images in the Develop module. All I'm doing at this time is to select my best shots.
5- However, I noticed something interesting. The images that are displayed blurred, were shot with my G9 camera. But if I view other RAW images shots with my 40D, and even my old D60 they are not blurred at all.
I am wondering if this anomaly has any connection between the G9 and LR? I'm very frustrated since I have deleted some images based of how they were displayed,but now I'm wondering if they were good shots and they were displayed blurred.

There's nothing wrong with posting a question to multiple forums. I was trying to show that at the Canon forum you stated LR was initially working properly, and sometime later the same images appeared blurry. This is an indication that something changed in your system, not an issue with LR’s capabilities:
-Corrupted LR preferences file
-LR application, corrupted
-System Virus
-Low hard drive space
-Failing hard drive
-System memory issues (insufficient memory, failing memory)
-Camera problem (not likely)
The problems logging into the Adobe LR forum is another indication that you may have one or more of the above system issues.
There is an issue concerning LR not applying sharpening and noise reduction to images in the Library module, except at very high ISO settings:

I doubt this is the "blurring" you describe in the Library module, since your 40D and older 60D camera images are not blurred. You would also be able to see 'Sharpening' and 'Noise Reduction' applied in the Develop module at 'Fit' image view size. You stated that you see no difference.
As you can see there are numerous things that could be causing your problem. I suggest trying the suggestions I provided in my last reply as a good starting point to finding and "fixing" the source of the problem.

Help! Internet images are blurring

Brand new ibook and everything is fine except on the internet. All photos are blurring, boxy, on both explore and safari. I have checked system prefs display and made sure it was on the max pixels. thanx

I am especially disappointed by the blurry text in GIF-images. Even the menu in Apples own home-page look a little blurry. I wonder if it is some kind of anti-aliasing, and if so, whether it can be turned off. The font-smoothing options in the appearance preferance pane doesn't do anything for text contained within GIF-images, I think.

Why my images are not showing?

I upload the images using file manager and it shows that the files are there. but it doesn't display. when i open the image path in a new window i get this message: "Bad Request". Can anyone help please?

Hi Alfred, so you know you will run into several issues if you do not follow naming conventions with folders and images on the web.
If you have spaces for example this causes a lot of problems.
That %20 stuff you see in your links are because you have spaces.
Any time you have a space in a file or folder you should replace it with a -
Removing them I can get a 404 error but support will only be the ones who can say if the images are uploaded correctly, they also may have not been saved correctly and are corrupted.
But what you can try is renaming the folder to...
granite-cobbles
And try one of the images to be..
sawnface-tubled-lrg.jpg
And see if that works.

Alright, now why when I import a 3-5 megabit image it looks blurry when I scale it DOWN. I am confused, but then again when I zoom in on my text, that is just as blurry. Is there a reason for this or does it get clear when I finalize my DVD. Thanks for any help.

I am going to try to fix this without posting, I know it can't be to hard.
First I know my picture is very large because when I expand it the blurriness goes away. So my first question is what apple software will fix this. The file size is 2.5 roughly and looks clear in viewer but like crap in Motion, how do I fix that?
Secondly, Should I be able to see my image clearly on the screen or will it get better when it's all finalized.
Lastly should I be on 8 bit for viewing or does that have nothing to do with my problem.

Web images are blurred and sliced when many tabs are open

i have a problem when i call different websites and i still have many opened tabs, the image on the website is not properly displayed.
When i call the Website in a new window , the image will be properly displayed. this happen only on Firefox 35.0.1 but not in Firefox 30.
This happen on diffrent CMS.
Example see the image in the attachment.
PS: this happen either for png or jpg images. Tested with 3 Computer , where Browser with and without add-ons.

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

Images are not clear in pdf output

Hi,
Images are blurred once a pdf file is generated. Don't understand why. Please let me know a solution to get pictures with better clarity after generating a pdf .
I used to shrink the images a bit to set them in the Framemaker area. Once the pdf is generated, the quality is blur.
Please advice how to get images with good clarity and visibility.

Photos downloaded to iPad are blurred in 'slideshow'

I've downloaded 50 images into an album on my iPad, but when I click on the 'slideshow' feature the first image is as sharp as it should be, but thereafter the remaining images are blurred can anyone tell me why this is please? If you are having issues with your photos in the slideshow being blurred (aside from the first one), you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device

I did a exact copy - paste of your code and i did a changes to the the image names, when i executed it, the system displays the images. It works properly as expected.
I couldn't point out any errors in the code given in the above post.
Please check the following,
1. Make sure the image name is correct.
2. Make sure the image extension is correct.
3. Make sure the image is right inside the Mime folder.
4. Cross check the image name by choosing the properties option that is displayed in the context menu (i.e. when you right click on the mime object).
