Benefit Eligibility
A person is eligible for a benefit on 1st of the month after reaching 25 yrs of age but if he is already 25 at the time of hiring, he is eligible for the same on 1st of the month after 30 days.
I tried doing but not able to meet one condition, 1st of the month after 25th birthday. It is taking 25th birth day in the enrollment and for others (above 25), it is taking 1st of the month after 30 days, as required.
Can we get this eligibility rule with a variant without any user exit?

I have only mentioned about the "Employee Eligibility" node and I did try eligibility grouping and variant. My question is why that '1st of the month' condition is not working for giving the minimum 25 yrs age.
My requirement is simple: "Employee should get the eligibility from the date of 1st of the month following his 25th birthday".
Again, we do not want to keep track of benefit amount, contribution, coverage, etc.

In benefit, 2 dates are there enroll and eligible. In eligible date, permanent employee has to wait one month and hourly employee's waiting time is 3 months, before s/he gets entitlement. In HR enhancement PBAS0001, depending as per employee status (permanent or hourly) benefit eligibility has to be calculate. Any help if with codes will be rewarded generously.

I've been trying to write a dynamic action to take the termination date from infotype 0041 and based on that data change the benefit eligibility date and rehire date on infotype 0041.
Can anyone explain how can this be done?

There's no dynamic action functionality for PD.
Instead you can use user exits & BADIs.

Receiving "The HR object is invalid" error in OSB
Our HR person is encountering "The HR object is invalid" error after entering employee name while navigating to the non-flex form in OSB. She was unable to datetrack back to 4/10/10 and enter a change to the employee's enrollment, but was able to enter it using sysdate (5/14/10 at the time of entry). She really needs to enter it on 4/10 however, since the employee had a promotion to director level at that time and benefit eligibility changed as of that date. After receiving the error, the enrollment data does not display. Only option is to back out of the form. Any help would be appreciated.

Benefits Configuration - need guidance
Hi All,
I have the following situation and seek your guidance to do the config accordingly.
1. Some benefit plans are eligible for one set of employees based on their Paygrades - can I set the eligibility criteria for these plans for employees based on their TRFGR in feature ELIGR. Pls let me know if I am right in this approach.
2. Some benefit plans are closed and are available only for those employees who have already enrolled. So, this plan should be available only in the adjustment reason and only as change or delete. This plan should not be configured in Standard Selection. Pls confirm if this would meet my requirements.
3. One benefit plan is available only for new employees. How should I achieve this through config. I am not sure how to go about this.
Would appreciate if you can kindly help me in this.

Here is what I think:
1. To enable eligibility based on Pay/Salary, you need to do following:
a. Make sure Salary Groups are defined
b. Link it with eligiblity grouping
2. Immediately after a plan is closed, and you want it to be available only to employees already enrolled in the same plan. In this case, nothing special is required, just change the plan status to closed. In case, you want another plans to be available to employees who have enrolled to closed plan, make sure you have an entry in table V_T74FY indicating such condition.
3. It is not possible with simple configurations because Benefit eligibility citireria can be defined based on: 1. Number of hrs worked, 2. Number of Days/Month/Year worked, 3. On a specific Date in Future
To achive your client's requirement, you may try following: (Note: This may not be the best solution)
Lets say you have Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and Plan D, of which Plan A should be available to new hires.
You can create two plan groups, as:
PG1 = Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and Plan D
PG2 = Plan B, Plan C and Plan D
Now make sure new hires are automatically falling in PG1 Group. And rest in PG2. You can develop this case from here on.

I need to change the Benefit Dependent age eligibility from 24 to 26.
I thought this was on v_74ht_d, but this did not work.
I remember doing this a few years back and had table t5ub3 as a reference, but when I go to SM30, no age is listed. But if I look at the table in SE11, I see the 24 in there.
Does anyone know where to maintain this?

Benefit plan eligibility based on participation in another plan
We need to control a spouse plan eligibility based on participation or enrollment in employee plan in the same program. Employee can enroll into both the plans at the same time but we need a check which would not allow employees to enroll into spousal plan without enrolling into employee plan. We have to maintain these plans separate as each have their own coverage amounts as these are optional life plans. If I use eligibility criteria then it is requiring employee to be enrolled into reuired plan even before the life event was processed. Need help in how to have the validation done during enrollment? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Automatic Benefit Plans based on Date Types in IT0041
Hi
I am having an issue with a re-hired employee. We have two date types in IT0041. Current Hire date and Service Award Date. If somebody is hired for 1st time, both the date types are same( e.g 12/12/2008). and this case the automatic benefit plans follow the config rules properly and some start from the hire date and some from the 1st of following month as per the config ruel.
But If we are re-hiring an employee, in this case Current Hire date( 12/12/2008) would be different from Service award date ( because of his previous experience with this employer). In this case all the automatic plans are starting from the date when the re-hire action is performed, not even the re-hire date and do not follow the config rule at all.
We have never made any dependency of benefit plan on IT0041 anywhere in config, but why this is happening? Any suggestion would be appreciated,

WillsNope. we never configured the dynamic eligibility part. So that makes it more strange. Because if all the date are same it works fine , but if the dates are different, it gives wrong result

In the Family members and dependants Iview, if I add a child from today date, this new child is not visible in the select dependants in the enrollment in to benefits. Only after 31 days of adding the child we are able to add the child as a beneficiary in the enrollment ( Select dependants ). Is there any setting where this 31 days - time limit is saved?

I have an issue related to dyanmic elgibility for benefits (HRBEN0047). The system uses a standard Benefit eligiblity program RPUBEN47. The requirement I have is that the employees hired need to complete 1000 hours and 1 Year of service from the date of hire for eligibiltiy (condition to be satisfied).
It so happens the exisiting program poses this problem: some employees (Per Deim, part time) do not complete 1000 Hrs in the stipulated one year of service.Suppose the employee is hired 05/11/2005
The 1 year service date is 05/11/2006 and since he is part -time the date he completes 1000 hrs may be 08/02/2006 (for example..) But 08/02/2006 comes into a new year of service for him, because he is part-time his service is pro-rated and spills into his next year of service, which otherwise has to start from zero hours from 05/11/2006. The program is not showing the correct eligbility in such cases.
Any thoughts or leads would be really helpful...

Why the benefit plan did not appear ?

I have configure in IMG the health plan and insurance plan , then flexible administration...But when i hire or adjust reason for a new employee ,and create IT 0717 , then in ENROLLMENT i still se " Default offer" or "New hire" but in that i see no plan.......Maybe i have configured in a wrong way ..Could you show me how to make these plans appear to be enrolled ?
Is there any document that describes step by step the Benefit configuration.. ?
