BI 7 : filtered columns

Hello Experts,
I am using query designer BI 7 version,
Created a query and have used 2 filters, My question on exection in web, the filltered values come in the corner and no longer the columns are seen in the structure..
Is there a setting to retain them in output also... show filtered structure...???  where it is!!!
Regards,
Bijal

Hi  Bijal,
      you can take those  filtered  info objects into   Rows also... then you will get those  those    info objetcs are displayed in columns in the output..
    for  example you  want to filter  Material from  100 to 500 .. then you can put 0Material  in ROWS and as well as filters also.. but in filter you need to mention the condition..
   then you will get  0Materail(but only from 100 to 500 )  also in the output .. along with the  corresponding values..

  • How do I SUM filtered column set only in FormsCentral View Responses?

    Hello... When I use the FormsCentral "view responses" tab's excel spreadsheet report, I can't seem to SUBTOTAL any columns once they have been filtered!
    I only see an option for adding SUM in the last row, but it calculates all of the filtered and unfiltered amounts together anyway... How can I only add up and report the amount for the filtered set selected??
    Thank you!  -Chris

    Hi wcanerday,
    Thanks for the green tick and your feedback. Yes, the SUMIF function is powerful!
    When you adapt the Personal Budget template, make sure that the items in the Category Column (A) on the Budget sheet exactly match the items in the Pop-Up Menus in Column C of the Transactions sheet.
    Editing a Pop-Up Menu in Numbers 3 is easy. Please call back if you need more help.

    I have two column, each one have different formula.
    My Formula based on filter.
    Column1
    FILTER("DW"."SUM_PLAN_MONTH_AMOUNT" USING ("DW"."PLAN_YEAR" BETWEEN YEAR(DATE'@{P_BEGIN_DATE}') and YEAR(DATE'@{P_END_DATE}')))Column2
    FILTER("PAYMENTS"."SUM_PAY_AMOUNT" / 1000 USING ("PAYMENTS"."PAY_DATE_PAID" BETWEEN DATE'@{P_BEGIN_DATE}' AND DATE'@{P_END_DATE}'))How to add new calculated column based on those two column?
    For example:
    Column1 | Column2 | NewColumn

    7 | 12 | 12 / 7 * 100

    I can't seem to subtotal any columns if they have been filtered.  If you use the SUM function, it still calculates all of the chart's rows.  How do I only add up the filtered set?

  • Filtering columns at runtime inCR2008

    Hello,
         Good day !
         I am working with CR 2008 sp3 Fix 3.3 and ASP.NET 2.0 .
         I have a tabular report  with n  number of coulmns.(for ex:6 columns)
         I would like to know how to apply filter on these colums?
         I saw the presentation provided by the SAP on how sorting and filtering is used in CR 2008.
        But not able to do it in my report.I have gone through the crystal report help ,but it says about the filtering with with the OLAP reports.
    My report is a simple tabular report on which i want to have filtering functionality like sort functionality in CR2008.
    please let me know if you require any more clarification.
    Thanks and Regards,
    smitha.

    Hi Ian ,
    Thanks for the response.
    Colums are not coming from cross tab.
    It is just a normal simple crystal report where the fields are put in the detail section below the header in the Page header section.
    For example  Suppose i have a report with fields for country ,State ,Population and the report is dispalyed in the UI
    Now the report should be able to filter the data according to user selection.
    suppose India is selected then all the states under Indai and the Population
    or if the state is selected then the corresponding country and population etc.
    I mean the report should work like the way shown in this link
    [http://www.businessobjects.com/global/flash/product/catalog/crystalreports/demo_sorting_filtering/sorting_and_filtering_viewlet_swf.html]
    Is it done with the help of parameter?
    I am not using a parameter to have the filter functionality .Rather I want to make use of the functionality provided by CR 2008
    Just want to know what is the filter functionality provided by CR 2008 and how it works with the normal simple crystal report.

  • Filtering columns on condition

    Hi, I want to be able to select a few columns depending on a key. for instance, if my key is 'FA' then I want my FA columns to be the ones returned and not PG even though PG's columns are also declared. Here's the idea:
    table1
    id  key  val
    FA  1  5th Ave
    FA  2  NY
    FA  25  UserFA
    PG  7  9th road
    PG  11 MIA
    PG  12 I don't need this column display
    PG  25 UserPG... and the following query:
    select max(decode(key,'25',val)) as name
    , CASE when id = 'FA' THEN max(decode(key,'1',val)) END as  address
    , CASE when id = 'FA' THEN max(decode(key,'2',val)) END as  city
    , CASE when id = 'PG' THEN max(decode(key,'7',val)) END as  address
    , CASE when id = 'PG' THEN max(decode(key,'11',val)) END as  city
    from table1
    where id = <x>
    group by id;So I'm expecting an output as follows if I set id = 'FA':
    name   address   city
    UserFa  5th Ave  NYas you can guess this throws an ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined because I have "as address" and "as city" twice, renaming each differently probably not an option because the output of this goes somewhere else that is looking for those keys. So my question is... how can I re-write this to be able to select only columns for FA if id = FA, and columns for PG if id is PG? instead of selecting them all and causing all this conflict? I have about 20 to 30 ids, I'm only displaying 2... so keep that in mind when modifying this, because even by remaming the identifier the selct picks ALL columns, including the ones that are different of the Id picked.
    Please let me know if clarification is needed,
    Thanks,

    I've built things like this in the past, what you need is a translation or layout table.
    The problem you have is "which row represents the City?" This isn't easy to answer - based on your sample query, it's "2" for FA, and 11 for MIA.
    If you can, I'd suggest setting it up differently: Have "2" always the city.
    For example, create a new table:
    field_mappings (or some other name)
    id Field
    == ===
    1  Address
    2  City
    3  Name.. etc, or whatever
    depending on your needs, you can expand that as you need - in our case, we had additional columns to tell us what datatype it was, and what format to display it in. (and to those cringing, no worries, it was just 1 subject area, not entire datamodel. It was for a section that was very dymanic, Each year the forms changed with different fields and values. It worked well because we had very little code changes year to year - it was all data driven. shrug not perfect, but it worked :)
    anyway, with that in mind, you can then just join your oiriginal table to this one, an viola .. "magic" happens :)
    But yeah, as sb92075 indicates, sample tables, with creates, and such would help greatly.
    (to clarify, you provided sample <data>, change that to a CREATE TABLE ... <blah> . with INSERT statements ..
    watch the difference in responses :P )

  • Filtering columns in a .csv file v .xml file

    Hi everyone,
    The following code fragment apparently creates a dataset from an xml file. The first line creates the dsStates dataset from an xml file called states.xm. The second line seems to be pulling in the list of cities into the dsCities dataset from the same xml file. I mean I assume this is what it's doing since it's accessing {dsStates::url} and then "/state/cities/city".
    var dsStates = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../data/states/states.xml", "/states/state");
    var dsCities = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../../data/states/{dsStates::url}", "/state/cities/city");
    My question is that since I'm not using xml as the source file for the dataset I'm creating but instead I'm using a .csv file, I'm wondering whether I can create two similar constructor functions like the above xml versions. I assumed that the first line would be as follows:
    var dsTypes = new Spry.Data.CSVDataSet("data/types.csv");
    This would bring in the data from a .csv file called "types.csv".
    The question is though how would I access certain columns in this types.csv file so that I can filter them into the second dataset which would be called dsHospitals. I started off with the following line:
    var dsHospitals = new Spry.Data.CSVDataSet("    ");
    ...but then since it's not xml is there are way to target these columns as it's done in the xml version. Or are there limitations with what I can do with a .csv file compared to xml files?
    Would really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks for the reply,
    I've actually ended up using an xml file instead of a .csv due to the limitations.
    I'm pulling in some xml files dynamically into a table and have based the code on the information at the following url:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/SpryPagedViewSample.html
    My application is identical to the one in the above url except that instead of bringing in state and cities, I'm bringing in categories instead of the states and hospital names and addresses instead of the cities.
    The example in the url uses an unordered list to display the names of the cities as in the following code:
    <div spry:region="pvFacilities dsFacilities">
          <ul spry:repeatchildren="pvFacilities" spry:choose="choose">
                <li spry:when="{pvFacilities::ds_RowID} == {pvFacilities::ds_CurrentRowID}" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:selected="selected" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::name}</li>
                <li spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::name}</li>
          </ul>
    </div>
    I needed to revise this since I'm not only displaying one item, ie. the city name as in the example, but instead I'll be displaying the full hospital details which would require that the information is inserted into a table. So I had to adapt the above code to work with a table and I came up with the following:
       <div id="privRegion" spry:region="pvFacilities dsFacilities">
      <table id="private" cellspacing="0" summary="A list of private hospitals">
    <caption>Private Hospitals </caption>
    <thead>
      <tr>
        <th id="name" scope="col"><a href="#">Name</a>
          </td>
        <th id="address" scope="col">Address</td>
        <th id="suburb" scope="col"><a href="#">Suburb</a>
          </td>
        <th scope="col">State
          </td>
        <th scope="col">Postcode</td>
        <th scope="col">Phone</td>
        <th scope="col">Fax</td>
      </tr>
      </thead>
      <tbody>
      <tr spry:repeatchildren="pvFacilities" spry:choose="choose">
        <td spry:when="{pvFacilities::ds_RowID} == {pvFacilities::ds_CurrentRowID}" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:selected="selected" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Name}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Address}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Suburb}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::State}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Postcode}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Phone}</td>
        <td spry:default="default" spry:select="select" spry:selectgroup="page" spry:hover="hover" spry:setrow="pvFacilities">{pvFacilities::Fax}</td>
      </tr>
      </tbody>
    </table>
    </div>
    When I test though, it's only bringing in the first row and even then, it's only bringing in the hospital name and then 19 of the phone numbers from other hospitals! Not exactly what I was aiming for?
    Are you able to take a look at the following url to see where I may have gone wrong?
    http://files.officelinkonline.com.au/spry_test/
    Really appreciate any help/advice.

  • Help with Filtering a JTable by multiple columns

    Hi everyone, I need some help with filtering a JTable.
    Basically I have five columns in my table and five text fields for Username, First Name, Last Name, Address and Phone Number.
    What I need to do is have each text field filter the column it is assigned to. So if the table was
    So if I put 'foo' into the username field and two users have a username containing 'foo' they stay on the table, but if i also enter text in first name, say 'john' and only one of those entries has a first name of 'john', the other disappears.
    I'm probably not explaining that very well so let me know if you need clarification.
    I found this code (which I assume works correctly) but I don't know how to interface it with my other class that displays the JTable

    AND Abteilung.IDOE =
    ( SELECT IDOE FROM OE WHERE OE = :P9_SEL_OE AND JAHR = :P9_SEL_JAHR
    ) temp
    Requirement is : we need to filter this query again based on column in select list . As using AND / OR operator we are not able to give desired result ..
    As in our case we are filtering the above query based on :P9_SEL_JAHR and :P9_SEL_OE variables ther is further requirement that we can also filter the filtered given query based on column vaue so we can get the specific columns value through bind variables and can use OR operator between them .but the problem is coming on merging the columns where case with the given query ..
    As for example if we use this afer the query
    OR/AND
    MitarbeiterStatus.mitarbeiterstatus = :P9_SL_MA_STAT OR
    MitarbeiterListe.OEVON = :P9_SL_OEVON OR
    MitarbeiterListe.OEBIS = :P9_SL_OEBIS OR
    MitarbeiterListe.SAPPERSNR = :P9_SL_SAPPERNR
    for the OR case the first query will be always true so it will not filter it baseed on column value and in case of AND the second query would return true ..so we would get filtered column value based on column bind varaible not the complete query result based on JAHR and OE bind variable.
    any way to satisfy these two cases within a single query ..suggesstions are welcomed and would be truly appreciated.
    Cheers
    sachin

    Not certain I've fully understood your required logic without examples, but I think you just need to use brackets:
    WHERE MitarbeiterListe.Jahr = :P9_SEL_JAHR
    AND Abteilung.IDOE =
    ( SELECT IDOE FROM OE WHERE OE = :P9_SEL_OE AND JAHR = :P9_SEL_JAHR)
    AND
    MitarbeiterStatus.mitarbeiterstatus = :P9_SL_MA_STAT
    OR MitarbeiterListe.OEVON = :P9_SL_OEVON
    OR MitarbeiterListe.OEBIS = :P9_SL_OEBIS
    OR MitarbeiterListe.SAPPERSNR = :P9_SL_SAPPERNR
    )

  • InputDate Column Filter Date Format Problem

    Hi,
    I have an af:table with filterable columns and some of these columns are based on Timestamp VO attributes.
    When I enter a date filter - either manually or from the associated date picker, the filter is applied correctly using a date format of dd/MM/yyyy.
    However, when the table is subsequently refreshed, the filter value is still present but has been re-formatted to "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mi:ss" format (default format for a Timestamp datatype?). The an error appears in the column filter component - "Error: The date is not in the correct format".
    If I want to retain the filter value across queries, how can this be achieved?
    My table column is defined as follows:
    <af:column sortProperty="#{bindings.ViewDataVO1.hints.LastReadingDate.name}"

This does not appear to be re-formatted for display - but I don't know how to manipulate this value...
    Or is there a better way? This seems more complicated than it should be...?

  • Getting ALV Layout columns

    Hi Experts,
       I save an ALV layout with some filtered columns. Now I would like to take the columns through program giving the variant name as input. I get variant info from LTDX table, but no the columns of ALV. Could u please tell me any FM to find out the columns or any table which stores those details?
    Thanks and regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi Venkat,
    Now as you have the variant into some varaible. Pass this varaint name to FM 'LT_FC_LOAD' with IS_VARAINT = variant variable name, I_TABNAME = '1', and import your fields into the field catalog.
    You will get the fields according to your variant.
    Now after having fields in field catalog, you can easily create dynamic internal table from the same field catalog.

    I have a table (af:table) with a filterable column. How could I iterate through the rows after the filter was applied?
    Thanks in advance

    Have you tried to get the iterator in the bean method and iterate over it?
            BindingContainer bindings = BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
            //access the name of the iterator the table is bound to. Its "EmployeesVOVIIterator"
            //in this sample
            DCIteratorBinding dciter = (DCIteratorBinding)bindings.get("EmployeesVOVIIterator");
            //access the underlying RowSetIterator
            NavigatableRowIterator rsi = dciter.getNavigatableRowIterator();
            while(rsi.hasNext()) {
                Row row =rsi.next();
                // work with the roe
            }Timo
