BI Launchpad external Client access

Hi All,
We are using Crystal reports Enterprise server, and most of the reports are developed using command objects, We want to give access to the external clients to access their reports through the launch pad, How can it be done?
Thanks in Advance!

Hi Santhosh,
If there are more reports: Create Enterprise user (or map your existing AD users to Enterprise) and give them 'View on demand rights' on crystal reports.
If there less reports 5-10: You can send users OpenDocument link.
Hope this information helps.
Regards,
Onkar

  • Exchange certificates and services setup for internal and external clients access on separate domains.

    I have the following on my local network.
    Server DomainA -> Small Business server 2003/Exchange 2003
    Server DomainB -> Windows 2008 R2/Exchange 2013
    Clients Domain A ->  Windows XP/Outlook 2003
    Clients Domain B -> Windows 7/Outlook 2007/2010
    Problem:  I want clients from DomainA to log into Exchange on DomainB on the same local network.
    I need to know how to setup the DNS on both domains and the certificates on the DomainB Exchange server
    to accept the connection from the PC on domainA.   All connections from clients on domainB to server on domainB
    work correctly but when adding accounts to Outlook 2003/2007 on domainA clients I am getting certificate errors.
    I have purchased certificates for mail.domainb.com and autodiscover.domainb.com but I dont know how to get
    the clients on domainA to recognize those external URL's of the exchange server (with the certificates bound to them) from the internal network. Hence I get domain errors.
    I am getting issues when a client on DomainA tries to add an Outlook mail profile to connect to the Exchange on DomainB
    Any suggestions on how to set this up?
    thanks

    Domain A & Domain B are two separate AD Forests?
    Users in Domain A either need mailbox-enabled user accounts that are in DomainB or a linked mailbox in Domain B to utilise the Exchange Server in DomainB. In either case with the help of the autodiscover service user can use the services in ExchangeB.
    If the client machines are member of domainA and you are trying to access ExchangeB you will then need to leverage a custom XML file for autodiscover and force the Outlook client to use this file.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Autodiscover xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/responseschema/2006">
      <Response xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/autodiscover/outlook/responseschema/2006a">
        <Account>
          <AccountType>email</AccountType>
          <Action>redirectUrl</Action>
          <RedirectUrl>https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml</RedirectUrl>
        </Account>
      </Response>
    </Autodiscover>
    Then you need to configure the client machine to query that XML file by adding the following registry key:
    Refer to XML file
    for Outlook 2007:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Autodiscover
    for Outlook 2010:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Autodiscover
    STRING_value <your_namespace> = path to XML file

  • External SOAP client Accessing Webservice using built in Java Data type

    We have built a webservice and deployed it on WLS. We accessed this from a swing
    client it works fine.The webservice methods uses non-built in JAVA data types
    as parameters.These are Value Objects and the JAVA Serializer and Deserializer
    classes are generated using Ant task itself.The client coding uses Value objects
    given by the Client_jar (generated using <Clientgen> ant task) to pass to the
    webservice. We dont want to go by this way.Is there anyway were in we can pass
    parameters to the method which expects non-built in java datatypes?
    Why i am asking this is, i want to know how an external client (.Net client )
    will be able to exceute my webservice (i.e., passing the required Object which
    the method is expecting)?

    Hi Anish,
    Well first off, your web service doesn't send or receive "objects". It only sends
    and recieves XML, which is in turn converted to/from Java objects at invocation
    time. Second, a .NET (or Perl, or Python, or C++) client will be able to call
    your web service, because the wsdl.exe tool (for .NET) will generate "programming
    language specific" objects from the <types><schema> elements, in the WSDL of your
    web service :-) The wsdl.exe tool will create C# objects from the WSDL, that will
    convert XML to/from C# when your web service is called. That's the beauty of XML
    schema - it's a "universal typing system", so it's not tied to a particular programming
    language. The only issue is whether or not the web services platform vendor's
    XML Schema/WSDL processor, can successfully process the WSDL. Some vendors have
    more complete implementations of the WSDL and XML Schema specs than others, so
    expect varying success here. The one in WLS 7.0 is pretty good, so you shouldn't
    have too many problems consuming WSDL generated by .NET tools (or any other tool
    for that matter).

  • AnyConnect error " User not authorized for AnyConnect Client access, contact your administrator"

    Hi everyone,
    it's probably just me but I have tried real hard to get a simple AnyConnect setup working in a lab environment on my ASA 5505 at home, without luck. When I connect with the AnyConnect client I get the error message "User not authorized for AnyConnect Client access, contact your administrator". I have searched for this error and tried some of the few solutions out there, but to no avail. I also updated the ASA from 8.4.4(1) to 9.1(1) and ASDM from 6.4(9) to 7.1(1) but still the same problem. The setup of the ASA is straight forward, directly connected to the Internet with a 10.0.1.0 / 24 subnet on the inside and an address pool of 10.0.2.0 / 24 to assign to the VPN clients. Please note that due to ISP restrictions, I'm using port 44455 instead of 443. I had AnyConnect working with the SSL portal, but IKEv2 IPsec is giving me a headache. I have stripped down certificate authentication which I had running before just to eliminate this as a potential cause of the issue. When running debugging, I do not get any error messages - the handshake completes successfully and the local authentication works fine as well.
    Please find the current config and debugging output below. I appreciate any pointers as to what might be wrong here.

  • Cannot find deployed Remote Bean from external client

    I have a very simple Stateless Session bean running in the SAS PE 9, which from what I can see has been successfully deployed. The application is listed as enabled in the Admin Console. Likewise, when I look at the JNDI tree, I can see the following entries at the top:
    com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness.TestRunnerRemote
    This is the name of the Remote Interface, that I have defined for the ejb TestRunnerBean. It does very little:
    package com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    @Stateless
    public class TestRunnerBean implements TestRunnerRemote, TestRunnerLocal {
        public void runTest() {
            System.out.println("Running test!");
    }and the Remote Interface is
    package com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import javax.ejb.Remote;
    @Remote
    public interface TestRunnerRemote {
        void runTest() throws RemoteException;
    }Now, I'm trying to call this runTest() method from an external client. The client code looks like
        public void connectUsingJNDI(String paramName) throws NamingException {
            Properties env = new Properties();
            env.put("java.naming.factory.initial", initialFactory);
            env.put("java.naming.provider.url", providerUrl);
            String myJndi = jndiName;
            if (paramName != null) {
                myJndi = paramName;
            Context ctx = new InitialContext(env);
            System.out.println("looking for " + myJndi);
            Object returnedObject = ctx.lookup(myJndi);
            System.out.println("returnedObject=" + returnedObject);
        }I am using:
    - com.sun.jndi.cosnaming.CNCtxFactory as the initial factory
    - iiop://<machineName>:3700 as the url. I'm using 3700 because that is the port against which my appServer's orb-listener-1 is using
    I've tried to look for the JNDI name of
    com.intecbilling.svConnectoryHarness.TestRunnerRemote
    because that is what is displayed in the JNDI View. When I do this, I get the following error:
    /svjca-src> runMe.sh com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness.TestRunnerRemote
    looking for com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness.TestRunnerRemote

    Now, no matter what I do, I get this. Running with the AS jars in the classpath or not. Running with the following system variables
    -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBClass=com.sun.corba.ee.impl.orb.ORBImpl -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=com.sun.corba.ee.impl.orb.ORBSingleton -Djavax.rmi.CORBA.UtilClass=com.sun.corba.ee.impl.javax.rmi.CORBA.Util
    Also provide me no joy. I've also tried using the JNDI format with the corbaname embedded in it (looks like corbaname:iiop:machinename:3700#com.intecbilling.svConnectorHarness.TestRunnerRemote) and I get the exact same exception.
    From what I'm seeing, I'm finding the remote NamingContext, but it doesn't like the JNDI name. I've tried fully-qualified names (as it is displayed in the JNDI tree) and unqualified names with the exact same results. From all of the posts I've read, I've tried all the various combinations that I can see to no avail. Is there a security issue going on here? I haven't enabled any security at all. I'm running out of ideas, and if I can't get any joy, I'll probably have to use a different app server to play with.
    Thanks for any help,
    Ed

    Hi Ed,
    We have an EJB FAQ entry that describes how to access Remote EJBs from a stand-alone (non Java EE) client. In a nutshell, put appserv-rt.jar in your classpath and instantiate the 0-arg InitialContext constructor. You can find more details here :

  • Add Client access server with DR MBX to server clients from DR site.

    Hello,
    We have a medium size implementation at our company. It is as below,
    - Two mail box servers (MBX1, MBX2) at production Site.
    - One mail box server (MBXDR01 at DR site (Active))
    - One DAG (name: IDKUDAG ) (MBX1,MBX2 and MBXDR01 are members)
    - Two Client access servers at production site (with MBX1 and MBX2)
    There is a high speed WAN connection between two sites.
    What I need to do, I want to add additional CAS server at DR site as in case of production site maintenance or outage I want to migrate the DBs to DR MBX and the CAS server handle mail
    client’s access.
    Can I add a new server at the DR site with the same configuration as the production site???
    Or there is another solution for this case.
    Please advise.
    Best regards,
    Ahmed Salah

    Hi Ahmed,
    The CAS configuration for Exchange service in the second datacenter can be the same configuration as you mentioned. For example, the same internal&external namespaces for OWA, Autodiscover, EWS, OAB etc. in two datacenters.
    Also make sure the certificate has included all needed namespace for the second site. For your reference, here is an article talked about the details of site resilients:

  • Mailbox and Client Access on the same servers for CAS HA (L4 LB) and Mailbox DAG

    Hi, I would like to ask this question.
    I'm reading all sort of documentation that I'm finding on the internet, but I can't understand if what I'm thinking to do is possible.
    I would like to setup a basic environment configuring only two Exchange 2013 on two Win 2012 R2 servers. Both servers will be Mailbox (MBX) and Client Access (CAS). I will create a two-member DAG using File Share Witness or Disk Witness for the Dynamic Quorum.
    Then I will setup Outlook Anywhere with internal and external namespace for CAS redundancy and layer 4 load balancing.
    In this scenario I will not need to install a third part load balancer.
    Am I doing right or I watching a movie?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi ,
    You could need to have the HLB or virtual load balancers for redundancy.
    Disadvantages of some load balancing methods :
    If you use Windows NLB then it can provide redundancy on server level failure and not on application level.
    In case if we use the windows round robin method for load balancing then it wouldn't provide server level and application level redundancy during the failures.At the Same time we need to manually adjust the DNS records during the server failure but on the
    client end dns caches will create the issues.
    Lets consider you are having the internal and external names for outlook anywhere like below .
    internal and external outlook anywhere name :
    mail.domain.com
    For the above name just configure the HOST A record in windows DNS and map it to load balancer ip.Then the second step would be to configure your exchange servers in LB .So all the internal and external outlook client connectivity will happen via LB to exchange
    servers.In that case if anyone of the server is down then LB will automatically make the outlook client to get connected to the server which is alive and at the same time none of the request from outlook client to LB will get forward to the server which is
    in down state.
    Note : Make sure you are having the redundancy for LB devices also otherwise it would be a single point of failure on the LB end .
    Please reply me if anything is unclear.
    Thanks & Regards S.Nithyanandham

  • Exchange 2013 - Client Access - Wrong Servername

    Hi,
    i have 4 exchange servers running, 2x Client Access, 2x MAilbox with DAG.
    i configured the external URL on all virtual directories and outlook anywhere to cas.contoso.com
    the internal url is cas01.contoso.com and cas02.contoso.com.
    All Clients connect from outside the company, so the internal url doesn't matter.
    When i client connects from outside, it's very slow. I saw on the firewall, that outlook is trying to connect to cas01 or cas02.contoso.com and then gives up and go to cas.contoso.com which is right.
    how can i check, why outlook is trying to access the servers instead of the alias cas.contoso.com ?
    cas.contoso.com points to KEMP Load balancers which distribute the load to the two Client access servers.

    hi,
    we have no internal traffic, all clients connects from external sources.
    anyway, i changed all URL's to the external URL now, for OWA, ECP, EWS and Outlook Anywhere.
    I created a new outlook profile and it still tries the internal URL first.
    BTW: the internal URL is also a public IP address but firewalled POrt 443, only the cas.contoso.com IP is open on 443.
    So the internal Hostnames are DNS resolvable on the internet? If so, that is not what you want to do. Make only the external Host name resolvable.
    Twitter!:
    Please Note: My Posts are provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied.
    Well, the hole system is resolvable on the Internet, i can switch them to https://localhost/...
    but in my case, i switched everything from cas01 or cas02 to cas and outlook still shows up with
    cas01.contoso.com  connecting....
    cas.contoso.com conneted...
    where does this client get cas01.contoso.com from ?!

  • Do we have to install Client Access mode if we only want mailboxes

    Do we have to install Client Access Role if we only want mailboxes, if we do not need that role how do we get the ecp web management program which does not install with just the mailbox role

    Hi,
    From your description, I would like to clarify the following things:
    1. Each organization requires at a minimum one Client Access server and one Mailbox server in the Active Directory forest.
    2. Each Active Directory site that contains a Mailbox server should also contain at least one Client Access server.
    For more information, here is an article for your reference.
    Install Exchange 2013 using the Setup wizard

    Hope my clarification can be helpful to you.

    I used the setup wizard before purchasing everything and during the installation, one question asked by the wizard, was do you want to install on one machine and my answer was yes, ( these are servers that are to replace on premises
    SBS 2003 servers in local charities premises ), I have followed the wizard and still it does not work, I now think the problem might be because I am using different names ( similar to that format used by previous versions of SBS ) for the
    internal name and the external domain name, I am using <servername>.domain.local internal and <sameservername>.domain.org.uk for external, now I am trying an install with the following <servernameinternal>.domain.org.uk and <servernameexternal>.domain.org.uk
    to see if that might be the problem, some of the text in the wizard suggested using the same name for both internal and external domain names, that is a little fraught with danger, I used the same internal and external method on Linux back in the 1990's and
    it caused a few problems.
    The problem seems to be when I generate a certificate request for the internally installed Certificate Authority then complete it in Exchange ecp, I then add the services and the internal and external names are listed but it does
    not seem to be adding them to the actual Certificate when added to the machine.
    Outlook 2010 will now AutoDiscover as long as I install the certificate before or during the setup, Outlook 2007 will corrupt if I do not install the certificate first, I still have no external access but that might be because I am bench
    testing before taking it to customer premises, although the name of the server is in the public DNS, so it should work, it sends and receives email OK.

  • External Client Interface

    Our system is developed on Oracle Application express. Now we need to create an interface with an external client. We need to create data packets in their fomat from our system and call the external program developed in C++. Outcome of the program should be sorted out and stored in our system.
    Is there any sample programs or suggestions , as to how to start with this interface

    Thank you very much!
    In other words: the SAP-System doesn't need a RFC-destination when accessed by a client-jco-application.
    I will try that as soon as possible.

  • Installation of Client Access role fails on Windows Server 2008 R2 (Execution of: "$error.Clear(); Install-ExchangeCertificate -services "IIS, POP, IMAP")

    Hello
    I am trying to install Exchange Server 2010 beta 1 onto a Windows Server 2008 R2 (build 7000) machine which has also been set up as a domain controller.
    However when attempting to install the Client Access role, setup fails with the error below.
    Does anyone know of a way to get around this please?
    I have already searched for this error and not found any similar threads.
    Also every time I press the code button on this forum it crashes the browser and I keep losing the message! (IE8 from within Server R2). Also the message box is very small, will not expand and keeps jumping to the top.
    Thanks

    Hello
    Thanks for all the replies.
    I have since wiped the system and installed everything again and it all worked this time so not sure what was wrong last time. I did try to uninstall all Exchange components and then uninstall IIS and Application server, reboot and re-install but I received the same error still when it came to installing the client access role.
    Walter: I just attempted the standard installation which should have used the default self-signed certificate. Everything was a fresh install done at the same time on a freshly formatted PC.
    For info last time when it failed to work:
    - Installed Windows Server 2008 R2
    - Installed Domain Controller role using dcpromo. I set the forest and domain as Windows Server 2008 R2
    - Added a forest trust between main domain and test Exchange domain (set up as ex2010.local)
    - Installed IIS and Application Server role
    - Installed Hyper-v role
    - Installed Desktop Experience feature
    - Installed Exchange and recieved the error
    When it worked I set up the forest and domain in Windows Server 2008 mode (i.e. not R2), installed Exchange first and then set up the forest trust and then Hyper-v. It did say it failed to configure dns which was probably because it started trying to do automatic updates half way through the dcpromo! DNS seems to work ok though.
    I did notice this time that Hyper-v gave a warning about the virtual network adapter not being set up correctly and the local network did not work correctly although I could access the internet. Not sure if this could have been related to the cause of the problem previously. For now I have disabled the virtual network until I get time to try and get it working and so the mail will work in the meantime.
    I also noticed that Hyper-v added an extra 443 ssl binding to the default website so as it had 2 bindings on port 443 it refused to start. After deleting one it worked.
    I decided to install Exchange onto a domain controller as it is only a test and I wouldn't do it in a live environment. I am also short of test machines! It didn't give me any warnings about this actually, I think previous versions warn you that it is not recommended.
    Andreas and Chinthaka: I did not know about the requirement to run the domain at 2003 mode. The main domain is running in 2008 mode with Exchange 2007 so I assume this is just a temporary beta related requirement. It does seem to be working (second attempt) so far in a 2008 mode domain although I haven't had a chance to fully test it yet.
    Thanks
    Robin
    P.S. Sorry it's taken me a while to reply!

    Hi Eliran,
    Thank you for your question.
    Are there any update recently?
    We could refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
    1)disable A/V
    2) Run: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821/en-gb
    3) follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-gb to upload %WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
    4) disable snap-ins exept DNS-snapin
    5) run SDP
    6) enable A/V
    We could also re-install .Net 4.0 to check if the issue persist by the following link:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718
    If the issue persist, we could install Exchange 2010 SP3 CU8 by the following link:

    Hi,
    When a client accesses MBeans of more than one domains (Weblogic 8.1)
    that have
    different passwords, it receives a SecurityException. This occurs when
    the MBeanHome
    for each domain is looked up at initialization and reused for each
    request ( to
    access MBeans ). The security exception does not occur if the MBeanHome
    for each
    domain is looked up for each request. On initial review, this behavoir
    seems inconsistent.
    Looking up the MBeanHome for each request may introduce a significant
    overhead.
    I am not sure if concurrent lookups would also cause the same problem.
    I have read on another post that we can work around this problem by
    establishing
    a trust relationship between the servers, but this may not be feasible
    when one
    is monitoring a lot of servers and the overhead of configuration may be
    an issue.
    I have attached code that can reproduce the problem.
    Please advise on the correct approach.
    Thanks

    * Note: the exception is caused only when the MBeanHome for each domain is cached and used for subsequent
    * transactions. The exception does not occur if the MBeanHome for each domain is looked up for each transaction. This
    * would significant overhead in practice. Also the transactions across the various domains occurs serially, hence
    * the effect of concurrent lookups has to be tested.
    * Usage:
    * This class has been tested with weblogic 8.1
    * The class needs weblogic.jar in its classpath
    * One can specify the weblogic details as System properties. The properties need to be specified in
    * the following format:
    * wls.host.n, wls.userId.n, wls.password.n where n is the weblogix instance number. Also specify
    * the boolean system property reconnect.each.iteration to toggle between reconnecting or not reconnecting
    * for each iteration. When not reconnecting for each iteration, the MBeanHome is reused and the Security Exception
    * occurs.
    * Following is the example of system properties
    * -Dwls.host.0=localhost:7001 -Dwls.userId.0=weblogic -Dwls.password.0=weblogic
    * -Dwls.host.1=localhost:7011 -Dwls.userId.1=weblogic -Dwls.password.1=weblogic1
    * -Dwls.host.2=localhost:7021 -Dwls.userId.2=weblogic -Dwls.password.2=weblogic2
    * -Dreconnect.each.iteration=false
