BI Query in RSRT1

Hi All,
When i open a query in RSRT1 t-code selection criteria is not coming, it is directly opening the report.
But same query when i open in BEX analyzer it is giving me the selection criteria and then getting into the report.
I have defined the selection criteria when i dessigned the query.
Please help me out why this is happenning.

Dear Abbas,
It should not happen generally.Just checkthe query properties and the Variable created.
The transaction sh be RSRT not RSRT1.
Just try to reexecute te query using RSRT t-code.

Getting error when we execute query in RSRT1

Hi Gurus,
I Loaded Transaction data in "0CCA_C11" cube and also loaded master data too.
but when i execute query in RSRT1 i am getting error message
1) Could not enter feature 0COSTCENTER__0PROFIT_CTR with SID 133 into table /BI0/SIOBJNM
2)System error in program CL_RSR and form GET_CHANMID-02- (see long text)
3)Error when generating dataProvider.
For 0COSTCENTER i loaded master data but for '0PROFIT_CTR' i am unable to load Hierarchy data because still the request is yellow even showing 58 from 58 records.
can any once can help me to soleve this issue.

How get Query Monitor (RSRT1) to show variable input screen

Hi,
I'm trying to test a query that has variable input and I can't get the variable input screen to give me a chance to input variables. Since this is key to debugging this query, I need it to recognize my input variables.

Hi,
In rsrt, enter the query name -> select query display as HTML -> In the big text box that appears below it type "variable_screen=x", without quotes and it should show you the variable screen.

SD Query Install - No Entry Found Problem

Gurus,
I have this weird problem in Bex. I installed around 15 Business Content SD query and transported to the assigned Z package. I was able to view the query and have data populated last week.
But recently when i tried to open a particular sales revenue query it says "No Entry Found". The strange thing is that i am able to see the query in the drill down infoarea list. Moreover i checked the query in RSRT1 and ABLE to run it.
Any idea about what is wrong? Even i tried to reinstall it but the same problem again for a particular query.

Hi, if you have transport query just rightnow, then just close the screen and then again open RSRT and execute the query,,,
OR just check the system you are watching for data is proper(i.e. if you see the data in analyzer for PD and in RSRT for DV) or not, (Sometime it may be happend)
Just check it out users are same or not?

Virtual Keyfigures

All,
For a client we want to use virtual keyfigures in a query. Now we have a value in the user exit, but we cannot get the value back into the query. Does anyone have an example of ABAP or some documentation on this subject?

try to put 'break-point' and do debug.
and check with RSRT->click 'technical information', see 'virtual char/key figures', it should 'yes'.
and try to generate the query with RSRT1.

Query executes in RSRT but not in BEx Analyzer

Hi Everyone,
I have a query for an infocube and ods object, in the bex analyzer for the infocube the query executes which has around 5000 records but for the ods object which has also 5000 records comes up with this error.
An exception with the type CX_SY_EXPORT_NO_SHARED_MEMORY occurred, but was
neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING
Message no. RS_EXCEPTION000
when I execute the query in RSRT it comes up.
After closing and re logging into bex analyzer executes the query for the first but for the second time again it throws up this error.
What could be the problem? Can anyone please let me know. Its really really urgent.

hi Prashant,
try check in RSRT, after choose your query, click 'properties' and set cache mode to 'main memory cache without swapping'.
also check oss note 656060-OLAP: Cache main memory displacement not functioning.

Symptom
Although one of the following two cache modes
Main Memory Cache Without Swapping (mode 1)
Main Memory Cache With Swapping (mode 2)
is set for a query, long runtimes occur when you execute the query. The statistics (table RSDDSTAT) display the database times.
If there is a heavy system load, the following message can also appear: RS_EXCEPTION000: No left space in shared memory.
Other terms
Cache, performance, displacement, shared buffer
Reason and Prerequisites
This problem occurs because the shared memory is insufficiently dimensioned.
Solution
Increase the amount of shared memory. The size of the shared memory should be at least 200 MB. You can refer to transaction RSRCACHE for the amount of memory reserved by the main memory cache (RSRCACHE -> Main Memory: Shared Memory/Buffer Reserved).
The corresponding settings are (at least):
rsdb/esm/buffersize_kb = 200000
and, as a precaution, also
rsdb/esm/max_objects = 10000.
Alternatively, for queries with large resulting quantities, you can convert the Cache Mode in transaction RSRT1 to
Cluster/Flat File Cache for Each Application Server (mode 3)
Cluster/Flat File Cache Across Each Application Server (mode 4)

We upgrade the system from BW 3.1 to 3.5 NW
I run t-code rsrt1
I select 0FIA_DS11/ZASSETST1 query and I try to execute, It is working fine
I select 0FIA_DS11/ZASSETST1 query and I try to Generate report, I am getting following error

There is an issue....when i am trying to run my query in Bex Analyzer then its giving some error regarding Read Mode... and asking to go to Query Monitor (transaction RSRT1) here i am finding these two errors...

A number of querues often have by mistake the read mode "Read all at once". In many cases, this causes performance problems. To avoid this type of error, the above warning message appears when you execute a query that has been generated with this read mode.
Solution
Change the read mode before you execute the query: You can change the read mode of a specific query using transaction RSRT. Choose Query -> Read mode to set the read mode for a selected query. If this warning message is displayed when you call up a query, you have to change the default read mode for new InfoCube queries in Customizing for BW (Tools > Business Engineer > BW Customizing > SAP Reference IMG ). The default read mode is under the node "BW Customizing Implmentation Guide > Business Information Warehouse > Reporting-Relevant Settings > Set Read Mode for InfoCube
You can also change the read mode for all queries and the default read mode for all InfoCubes using transaction RSRT. Choose Environment -> Repair read mode. This is where you can change all non-allowed read modi to "Subsequenlty read by navigation".

Error when executing query CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C

Hi Gurus,
I activated the query '0CCA_C11_Q0002' from BI content.When i execute the query i am getting the error message: 'System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C and form CHECKALVL-01- (see long text)'.
I execute the same in RSRT1 with 'ABAP Web' , i got the same error message.
But when i click on "Genarate Report' tab i got "Text variable 0T_FPERY in "Variance &0T_FPERY&" cannot be replaced - value not found".
Can any one help me to solve the problem.

A query terminates with message BRAIN 299: "System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C and form SELTO_SELDR_14-02-".
Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
The error occurs if a query does not contain any key figures, but a non-cumulative key figure has to be read becasue of the "Virtual Characteristics and Key Figures" user exit.
Solution
After you implement the corrections, you must regenerate the affected queries.

In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.
You must first read Note 875986, which provides information about transaction SNOTE.
To provide information in advance, the notes mentioned above may already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the note still contains the words "Preliminary version".

How to find static filter on Query designer

Hi expert,
I created one variable ZCALMON_V_001 on the infoObject ZCALMON, and this variable is used on two query (QueryA, QueryB) for filter functionality, however, I tested the queryA and QueryB by tcode RSRT1, I find there is static filter on info tab of result for QueryA, and there is NOT static filter on QueryB, please refer to picture, do you know the root cuase? Hi Andrew,
In Query Designer for Query A, under Filter -> Characteristic Restrictions, there would be some static filters defined at query design time. These are called Static Filters because they have been hardcoded at design time & cannot be changed.on runtime. These Filters get fired at the Query level.

Aggregate proposal for Query View

Dear all,
I'm looking for a possibility to debug a query view in order to determine necessary aggregates which I have to create for this view. I can not use RSRT2, as it is only working on the query and not on the view, and in RSRT1 there is no debug possibility...
Any ideas?

Programatically validate/invalidate cache for specific query

Hi,
I am looking to programatically invalidate and re-instantiate the cache for a specific query.
I know how to perform this manually via RSRT, RSRT1/2....etc. What I am looking for is a way to schedule this and programatically control caching on specific query.
Any help would be wonderful!!

the technical information which u have furnished clearly says that the settings
that u have made does not enable the query to use cache.
u can enhance cache by customizing the inforovider or in the transaction rsrt
even if the concerned query does not have required settings u can make them in rsrt tcode.
goto rsrt set the read mode and cache mode as u wish, however default settings would give optimum performance.
and run the query.
in the rsrt screen a push button execute + debug enter that and unmark the check box do not use cache.

Hi,
RSRQ_QUERYDEFINITION is a program to give all details about query if you executed it in SE38.
And similarly tcode RSRT1 and RSRT used to execute the queries.
Tcode RSRREPDIR to know the Query execution time and details.

How to find the variable in the Query?

Hi Expert,
I test the BEx query by the tfcode RSRT1, after exectued, Go to "Info" tab and we can see the "Variable Values" colum, however, the variable values dont show all variable defined in Query, do you know which type of varible will show in this colum? Thanks very much.

Hi,
The reason you are not able to see all the variables in query designer while they are there in RSRT1 is that:
1. Their might be some condition used in your report which need user input
2. Their might be a restricted Key Figure with restriction based on user input
In order to see all the variables in query designer available in RSRT1 report. Go to properties tab on the rightmost side in BI7 and select the Query. Now click on variable screen tab here you will see list of all the variables used in the report.
