  • Tax calculation on sales order and invoice is different

    2007A, SP0, PL49
The tax on a sales order does not match the tax on the linked delivery and invoice by 1 cent. We take payment based on the sales order amount as the delivery and invoice are done after the fact. Why is the tax calculated differently on the delivery/invoice? We would want it to always match.
Item price = $111.04. Taxcode rate 13% has combination of 5% GST + 8% ONTAX.
On Sales Order, ONTAX = $8.88
    On Delivery/Invoice, ONTAX = $8.89
Can someone please explain the difference? Is rounding/tax calcualtion controlled by system settings per document?

Something must be wrong with your Sales Order tax.  The actual tax would be 8.8832.  Round up to 8.89 is correct.  Do you have any SP, FMS or add-on been used?

  • TDS TAX AMOUNT  IS NOT MACHING WITH INVOICE WTAX AMOUNTu2019

    Dear All,
I am Facing Following Problem in TDS
While creating an A/P Invoice after putting row level information when user click on u2018ADDu2019 button u201CWithholding Tax Tableu201D opens for deduction of TDS amount. When user selects u201CWithholding Tax Codeu201D in u201CWithholding Tax Tableu201D to deduct TDS amount for an invoice system shows WTax amount as per rate of deduction. But when user click on u2018OKu2019 to u201CWithholding Tax Tableu201D window, WTax Amount will comes as zero on A/P Invoice window.
Then when again user will go to u201CWithholding Tax Tableu201D and manually put the value of WTax Amount system reflects it on A/P Invoice window.
In case when we set approval procedure to A/P Invoice, this invoice goes for an approval. After coming back as approved invoice when originator of invoice going to u2018ADDu2019 the same document system shows an error as u2018TDS TAX AMOUNT  IS NOT MACHING WITH INVOICE WTAX AMOUNTu2019
    please reply me ASAP

    Thanking you
    Pradnya

    Hi Pradnya......
    You can do one thing.
Create a UDF at SO header level and via FMS pull Document No. to that UDF.
for this FMS please try this...
    Select $[ORDR.DocNum.0]
Save above FMS to UDF at SO level.
When you copy SO to Delivery and then to Invoice the SO no. gets copied to Invoice...
from this fiedl you can pick in PLD....
    Hope this will help you......

  • Tin no in pld for A/r Invoice

    hi all..,
Im  creating PLD  for A/R invoice in which i need to pick TINNO from BP master ..,for which i had create a database type field and  had set the Table for that field  as OEI12 and column field as  TAXID 11.But after fixing the table and column it is not possible to view the tinno for that field.can any one help to fix the problem.

Field Taxid11 is for TIN no. only,
but problem is you created incoming excise invoice
first and then updated BP master.
That's why changes made in BP master
won't get reflected in incoming excise invoice.
Try to retrieve it fromtable CRD7- Fiscal IDs for BP Master Data from the same field-Taxid11.

  • Posting taxes and revenue account seperately in invoice

    Dear Team,
As per our client requirement, they want to post taxes immediately at the time of invoice creation. However, they want the revenue recognition after some time/days of invoice creation. This is requirement of revenue recognition for aerospace industries.
Could you please suggest any possible configuration/development.
    Thanks and regards,
    Suhas

it applies to only few materials on a sales order as items
and with only 1 specific item category
This should have been posted in sales forum.
Better go with a new pricing procedure with new sales / billing document types based on which, the requirement can be met. Hope, you know the basic SD configurations like assigning pricing procedure to document type etc., based on which, system will trigger the required pricing procedure when you create a sale order.

  • Tax total breakup in A/R Invoice udf

    Hello all,
I am trying to print the tax total in the PLD of the Tax Invoice. I have created udf in the invoice and added the following code as formatted search.
    SELECT T1.[Taxsum] FROM OINV T0 inner join INV4 T1
    WHERE T0.[Docentry] = T1.[Docentry] and T1.[staTtype] = -90
    and T0.[Docnum] = $[OINV.DocNum]
The above code is for VAT. this returns correct value for 1 item, but when there r more than 1 items, it gives me a choice to select the vat amount for the individual items. I need to sum up all the vat amounts and enter the summed amount into the field. How do I use the Sum function to correctly reflect the total vat amount of the whole invoice instead of giving me individual amounts?
I use a similar code for the tax percent. but that has the same problem as well.

    Hi Gordon,
I was going through previous threads and I came up with a query suggested by K Shreyas
Formula for tax break up in PLD documents
Suppose you want the total Excise Amount for the document in A/R Invoice
attach this query as a formatted search
    SELECT sum(taxsum), t0.docnum as "Doc Num" FROM OINV T0, INV4 T1
    WHERE T0.Docentry = T1.Docentry and T1.statype =-90
    and t0.docnum =$http://OINV.DocNum group by t0.docnum
I modified the above query as in the first post to give me a single value successfully, but when I try the sum function it doesn't work. I thought I was not using the correct syntax and hence my question. The client needs the total sum of the Taxsum column for each of the percentages to be mentioned in the invoice generated.

  • Tax Line in R12 in Quick Invoices Screen

    Hi Friends,
Actually, am facing some problems relating to eB Tax architecture of R12.
In R12, I am trying to create one invoice through Quick Invoices screen.
    The invoice contains.. 2 Lines.
    1. Item Line.
    2. Tax Line. I have entered all the information related to Tax (Tax Regime, Tax, Tax Status, Tax Rate Name).
I saved the invoice and ran the Payables Open interface import program.
It is getting rejected during import process with the following error.
"The invoice cannot contain Tax Lines as tax calculation will be done for the invoice".
Kindly help me with this issue.
    Regards,
    Ajit

    Hi Suhasar,
Thanks for your response. But the main thihng, i would like to know is:
In 11i, we used to create a new line of type TAX and work.
Doesn't the same thing work in R12?
If not, then why are we allowed to create a line of type, "Tax" in R12?
What could be the reason for providing it but the same thing does not work out while importing, which works very well in 11i?
I am quite confused about this. It would be great, if you could help out with this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
If you are using TAXINN procedure, check apart from VK11 check you have maintained TAX CODE for excise condition types. Example FTXP or VK19 (using application as TX). Also check whether you are using UTXJ condition type. If you are using UTXJ condition type then please remove it.
For TAXINN you need not have UTXJ condition type.

  • Tax G/L account error in invoice

    Hi friends,
We have two scenario ie sales from DC(distribution center) and sales from MFG plant. the tax G/L account are different for both but after analysis in FTXP and OB40 for our tax procedure  I found the G/L account for MFG plant only.
I am not able to track that what is the source for DC tax G/L account.
what are the different sources where we can define the tax G/L account.? is there can be diffrent source for DC G/L account.
    regards
    jitendra singh

    Hi jitendra singh
As your sales are happening from DC and also from Mfg plant also ,First of all tax G/L accounts will be different only. Because for sales from DC & sales from MFG Plant will have different G/L accounts.
Secondly , as you are seeing only the G/L account which is for MFG plant then check in VKOA wheather you have maintained properly all G/L accounts or not , if you have maintained in VKOA correctly then you can see once the billing document is forward to FI .
But make sure that for MFG plant G/L account & Sales from DC G/L account both the G/L accounts are maintained as Tax purpose in FS00

  • Tax code on the basis of Invoice Date in MIRO

    Hi Gurus!
Tax rate change from 12.5% to 15 % is due on 1st October in NZ._________________
Client requirement is that in MIRO transaction w.r.t. PO instead of the tax code being picked up from PO, the Tax code should be picked up depending upon the Invoice Date. _____________
For Eg. Tax rate changes from 12.5% to 15% on 1/Oct/2010,
    Invoice Date = 20/Sep/2010, Posting Date = 20/Sep/2010, Tax Code = H1 (12.5%)
    Invoice Date = 20/Sep/2010, Posting Date = 01/Oct/2010, Tax Code = H1 (12.5%)
    Invoice Date = 01/Oct/2010, Posting Date = 01/Oct/2010, Tax Code = H3 (15%)
Is there a way this can be achieved?
    Kind Regards,
    Mehul

    Hi Mehul,
We just had such situation in Canada.
It is recommended not to change the tax rate in the Tax code which is being used in open invoices because that could cause reporting and discount problems. And I am sure there will be open invoices with tax rates 12.5% come october 1. The solution is:
Create a new Tax code in transaction code FTXP with rate 15%( effective date Oct 1 and set the same GL Tax account) everything as old tax code except for 15%  which will used for POs initiated from Oct1 onwards. For PO's prior to Oct 1. just use the same tax code with 12.5%.
During MIRO the Tax code/rate  used in PO will be default,  you will have the option to go with old Tax code-12.5% or new tax code 15%.

  • Tax Jurisdiction code for EDI Incoming invoice

    Hi,
We have implemented EDI incoming invoice using INVOIC02. The process code is INVL.The invoice is to be posted against a Purchase Order line item. It is noticed that the EDI invoice is not getting the Tax Jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order line . Instead the Tax Juridiction code is copied from the company code. However when we post the invoice manually using MIRO , then the Tax Juridiction code is copied from the Purchase Order. We understand that the system should take the Tax Jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order even for EDI invoices. Is it compulsory that we have to use the user exit EXIT_SAPLMRMH_014 in order to populate the Tax Jurisdiction code field TXJCD from the Purchase Order line? or is there any config required to enable the transfer of Tax Juridication code from the Purchase Order? In transaction OBCE there is a config to transfer the tax jurisdiction code supplied by the external vendor. If we do not check that box , then system is supposed to get the tax jurisdiction code from the Purchase Order.
    Thanks
    Sukumar

The issue is resolved through OSS Note 506343. In the standard R/3 system, the tax jurisdiction code can't be written to invoice via EDI and only the Ship To Plant's Tax Jurisdiction Code is written to the invoice.
