Binding UI controls with different RowSets in same ViewObject

Hi,
I have a ViewObject vEmp and created two RowSet rowSet1 and rowSet2 for vEmp.
What I want to do is to bind two different JList to these RowSets. These RowSets contain different data as I have used Named Bind Variables.
Can anybody please explain me how can I achieve this?
Thanks.

Hi,
if you use ADF Swing then you do this through the binding layer.
1) Open the pageDef file of your ADF Swing application
2) In the executable section, create a second iterator for the VO
3) Set the RSIName property of this second iterator to the name of the RowSetIterator created in code
4) Create the list box and use the second rowset iterator for the list

  • Is it possible to differentiate one payroll area with different currency under same company code

    Hi experts ,
MY client wants to pay in yemen currency for the employees who working in yemen, but it was comes under same company code created for india.we have differentiated yemen under different payroll area wise . so is it possible to  differentiate one payroll area with different currency under same company code.
    thnx,
    vamshi keshavapatnam

    Hi Vamshi,
I don't think so what you have done is correct. It seems like Global Employment functionality. As I understood you have some EEs which are Indian but working in company branch of Yeman.
If this is the case you should define a new company code for Yeman branch and use Global Employment functionality. By this you can make decision to pay in home currency or traget country currency.

  • [OCI] Parameter Binding, repeated Statements with differing values

    Hello
I am working on an application written in C which sends about 50 different SQL Statements to an Oracle Database using OCI. These Statements are executed repeatedly with different values.
In order to improve performance I would like to know what possibilities I have.
Whats the benefit of the following "techniques" ?
    - Parameter Binding
    - Statement Caching
What else could I look into?
    with friendly greetings.

It doesn't take zero-time of course, and it does level-off after a while, but array-bind/define or pre-fetching can make a significant impact on performance:
    truncated table: 0.907 / 0.918
insert_point_stru_1stmt_1commit: x100,000: 0.141 / 0.144Above I truncate the table to get repeatable numbers; deleting all rows from a previous run leaves a large free list (I guess...), and performance of this little contrived benchmark degrades non-negligeably otherwise. This is a single array-bind insert statement.

select_points_struct: x100,000@1,000: 0.140 / 0.140Above I use array-of-struct defines instead of pre-fetch or array-bind. Performance is just a little better, probably because of better memory "locality" with structures.
    The table is simple:
    create table point_tab(
    id number,
    x binary_float,
    y binary_float,
    z binary_float
So each row is 22 + 4 + 4 + 4 = 34 bytes. There are no constraints or indexes of course to make it as fast as possible (this is 11g on XP win32, server and client on the same machine, single user, IPC protocol, so it doesn't get much better than this, and is not realistic of true client-server multi-user conditions).
There aren't enough data point to confirm or not your prediction that the advantage of array-bind level-off at the packet size threshold, but what you write makes sense to me.
So I went back and tried more sizes. 8K divided by 34 bytes is 240 rows, so I selected 250 rows as the "middle", and bracketed it with 2 upper and lower values which "double" up or down the number of rows:
    truncated table: 0.953 / 0.960

My colleague on linux64 is consistently faster in benchmarks, even connecting to the same servers, when we have the same exact machine). So 32K may indeed be a threshold of sort.
In all, I hope I've shown there is value in array-binds (or defines), or even simple pre-fetching (but the latter helps in selects only). I don't think one can very often take advantage of it, and I have no clue how it compares to direct-path calls, but value there is still IMHO. • Single ERS Invoice for multiple POs with different GS and same IP

    Dear All,
I have a Requirement as per the below scenario:
We need to have single invoice created using ERS (MRRL) functionality in the below scenario:
Two POs created with different Partner function GS (goods supplier) and same IP (Invoice party partner function).
    Ex:
    GS IP PO GR ERS
    vendor1 10001 4500001 500001 Yes ( GR-IV-Yes, GR done- Yes, same payment terms - 001)
    vendor2 10001 4500002 500002 Yes ( GR-IV-Yes, GR done- Yes, same payment terms - 001)
When I run ERS for last 1 week (GR) and select the option (Doc selection – per IP or other criteria like GRs posted in last one week) , system should create 1 invoice document. Standard SAP posts 2 documents for each GS.
I have tried using 2 user exits for MRRL, but none of them work for this functionality.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    Go for  MIRO without MRRL.
Instead ERS, you can post single  Invoice(MIRO) for multiple POs  for one vendor.
    OR
Check with Technical consultant and go for development to have single ERS output for multiple ERS invoice documents for single vendor.

  • Two adf components sharing same VO with different params on same screen

    Hello everybody,
My current problem is that I need to create a screen with multiple graphs sharing the same VO but with different parameters for each one.
Lets suppose that I want to use EmployeesVO to show 2 graphs on the same jspx page.
One graph will show all employee salaries for department "Marketing" and another will show all employee salaries for department "IT".
Remember that I want both on the same screen.
The read-only VO will look like this:
    SELECT First_Name
    , Salary
    FROM employees
    WHERE department_id = :p_dept
To do this I did the following:
For each graph I created one Iterator.
For each Iterator I created one ExecuteWithParams. (one receiving "Marketing Depto" and anther receiving "IT Depto")
For each ExecuteWithParams I created one InvokeAction .
While running the application all graphs show the same information. All of them show only one department (the last InvokeAction in the Executables List).
The question is: How to keep each graph with their own parameter on the same screen?
    I'm using JDeveloper 11.1.2.1 on Windows 7 x64 SP1.
    Thanks in advance!

Why dont you add 2 instances of the same Vo in the AM. For each instance set the different VC.

  • How to Populate a Dropdown field for a table control with different keys

In table control if there is only one project ID value say 'P000715' i can populate it but when i have more than one project ID (P000715, p000716, P000717.....) in display in rows of table control i want to have different values in my dropdown field corresponding to that row of project id. Experts please tell me how to achieve this functionality.
    Thankx in Advance

The only way you may be able to do this is using
    MODULE PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST. User-programmer F4 help
    in your PAI routine.
In this routine you would build the list and get the returned value to update the field.
    Something like this.
DATA: BEGIN OF value_tab OCCURS 0,
        field1 TYPE zlmltype,
        field2 TYPE zltypex,
      END OF value_tab.
    * Drop down values
      REFRESH it_return_tab. CLEAR it_return_tab.
      REFRESH value_tab. CLEAR value_tab.
      SELECT ltype ltypex
        INTO TABLE value_tab
        FROM zlmltyp
WHERE auth NE '9'.    "System Only
      CALL FUNCTION 'F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST'
           EXPORTING
                retfield   = 'FIELD1'
                value_org  = 'S'
           TABLES
                value_tab  = value_tab[]
                return_tab = it_return_tab.
      READ TABLE it_return_tab INDEX 1 INTO wa_return_tab.
      CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
      p_pleadtyp = wa_return_tab-fieldval.

  • MIRO for multiple PO's with different Pymt Terms (Same vendor)

    Hi,
Is it possible to process many PO's for the same vendor with different payment terms (PO has got diff. pymnt terms) thru MIRO. Vendor has sent invoice clubbing diff. PO's.
    Regards
    Nilesh

    Hi,
There are different payment terms in financial accounting, sales & Purchasing. When you then enter a business transaction, the application in question will use the key specified in its area of the master record.
For exmple, in vendor master we have 2 payment terms one is at Company code level and the other one is at purchase organisation level.
I hope in PO, the payemnt terms will be picked up from the purchasing view, and in invoice payment term will be picked up from the company code level.
Since Payment term is at header level in invoice, it is not possible to have different payment terms for single invoice.
Also in terms of finance its not possible to have different payment terms for single vendor.

    Prabu

  • Can I use two different Touches (2G and 4G) with different OSs on same comp

I have a 2G 32 GB Touch running OS 3.13, which is just fine. I'm expecting a G4 64 GB Touch to arrive this coming week. I understand that OS 4.1 is already loaded on it.
Will I be able to use both Touches with differing OSs on the same computer? I really have no desire to update the OS on the older Touch as it has worked beautifully for 22 months!

You can have multiple ipods with different os's. For a few minutes I had my 2G at v4.0.1 and my 4G at v4.1.
I've never seen itunes automatically update the os on the ipod so you should be ok.

  • Homesharing - struggling with different accounts on same computer

Hi - hope somebody can help with this. Could you talk me through how to set up homesharing on the same computer for 3 different accounts (me, wife and son - the latter with parental controls). I've tried turning on the homesharing function and the "look for homesharing" but am having no joy. would be grateful for any help. Thanks.

I have been able to share my media using Home Sharing on different accounts on the same computer. All you need to do is make sure you use the same Apple ID for all of the accounts when you set up homesharing and have all of the accounts logged into at the same time. Then you will be able to transfer media back and forth.

  • Multiple users with different Ipods on same computer

My household has one general computer that is used by myself and my two teenage daughters. We don't use separate logins because it is used mostly to just go online, check our email, and use Itunes along with updating our Ipods. This works fine for us except that we have different Ipods. My girls have the Ipod Mini's and I have the Ipod (with video screen).
My question is this: Can one computer (running WinXPProSp2)authorize two different Ipods under the same user name? Also, can two (or three) different Ipods be "authorized" on the same computer?

Yes, your not really authorizing ipods, you just authorize a PC to play songs you buy from iTUnes. Once its authorized all ipods can play the song that connect to it.
You can separate the music that is loaded to each iPod (Like your music only added to your ipod and your girls ipods only updating there music to there ipods) By creating your own playlist and setting the ipod to update them. • Error MDX when executing WBI query with different prompt but same text

Current version is BO XI 3.1 SP2 FP 2.6
    Connected with SAP BI7
    Identified problem :
when using same text prompt in different filters, only the first one is correctly answered, the MDX code for following ones are not correctly generated : the engine uses the right filter but applied to the object from the first filter which gives a MDX code error.
    Example :
    In a report :
    - asking a user choice on 'document month' for operational view
    - using the same answer to fill up the 'posting month' in financial view
Document month (0FISCPER) filter is filter !V000001
Posting month (FISCPLCD) filter is filter !V000002
Question text is unique : "Single Year Period ?" and should be sent to both prompts/variable.
When using the same text prompt, the MDX code generated is :
    SELECT  { [Measures].[4IUX93YJGXQEHGLX0T0GPNA9Y] }  ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( [0FISCPER].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, [FISCPLCD].[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ) DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION ON ROWS FROM [CATS_M01A/ZGL_CATS_UTILISATION] SAP VARIABLES [!V000001] INCLUDING [FISCPLCD].[Z12010006]
Please notice that in this generated code, the filter !V000001 is applied to the FISCPLCD object, while filter !V000001 is related to document month. A MDX error is generated.
Any clue to solve this issue ?
    Thank you for your help.

    Ok, I've simplified the case.
Here is the real case :
    Object filter =
    Based on object =
    .[LEVEL01]
    Object filter =
    Based on object =
    .[LEVEL01]
In WBI query result I take these objects :
    .[LEVEL01]
    .[LEVEL01]
    .[4IUX93YJGXQEHGLX0T0GPNA9Y]
In query filters, my 2 filters with same text :
    1.
    I run the query.
Answer to question 'Single Year Period ?' = Period 06 2010
    ==> MDX error
A database error occured. The database error text is: Echec de l'exécution de la requête MDX SELECT  { .[4IUX93YJGXQEHGLX0T0GPNA9Y] }  ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( .[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, .[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ) DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION ON ROWS FROM SAP VARIABLES INCLUDING .[Z12010006] INCLUDING .[Z12010006] avec l'erreur Invalid MDX command with . (WIS 10901)
And you can see that the value sent to both filters is the same and come from the first filter .[Z12010006] instead of applying the value to each filter .[Z12010006] for the first one and .[Z12010006] for the second one.
Please, notice that if I change the order of this 2 filters in the WBI query, the MDX generated become :
SELECT  { .[4IUX93YJGXQEHGLX0T0GPNA9Y] }  ON COLUMNS , NON EMPTY CROSSJOIN( .[LEVEL01].MEMBERS, .[LEVEL01].MEMBERS ) DIMENSION PROPERTIES MEMBER_CAPTION ON ROWS FROM SAP VARIABLES INCLUDING .[Z12010006] INCLUDING .[Z12010006]
    Thanks for your help.

  • Commit handling with Different sessions on same Database

    Hi,
We have a requirement, where-in we have two modules working on the same database but different schemas.
In this case, also the oracle session for both the module is also different.
We want to ensure a two phase commit logic in this scenario, wherein the integrity of the data commit is maintained across sessions.
How can I achieve the same, Because I have heard two phase commit works of Distributed database using DTC(Distributed transaction co-ordinator.

Why do you think that the integrity of the data would not be preserved with the commit functionality ? What do you think two phase-commit does?

  • VIs with different inputs and same functionality.

    Hi everyone
I need to know how to implement a single VI (without using the copies of that VI) which takes different inputs at different instance but the inbuilt functionality being same.
For example, I need to write data of COM1 to one excel at time instance T1
I need to write data of COM2 to another excel at time instance T2. (T1+n)
According to above example the functionality is same i.e writing to excel file. But inputs are taken from different Port outputs. I tried concept of Polymorphic VIs but i found it id restricted to variation in data types.
Plese let me know whether I can use concept of Polymorphic VI in any way to solve this problem? Or completely different solution is there?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi divyaa,
    split functionality into several VIs:
    - one VI to communicate with your COM ports (one for each port?)
    - one VI to save data "in Excel"
Call each subVI when needed (according to your T1/T2 parameters).
I don't think polymorphic VIs will help you here!

  • Sharing iPhoto Library with Different Users on Same Mac

Surely what I'm trying to do is not that unusual!!?? I'm a new Apple User coming from the 'dark' PC side and was hoping Apple would be better.
Our family has a single Mac running Mavericks. My wife, children and I have our own logins but  we'd like to use iPhoto to store our photos and share the same library. Has to be common......right?
I'm told if we try to share a photo library on the Mac it will cause problems and therefore two choices are:
    1. Move the iPhoto library to an external drive or
    2. Move the iPhoto library to a disk image.
I'm not sure about this disk image option but luckily(I thought) have both a 2TB Time Capsule and 3 TB WD MyBook Live Drive. I don't really use the MyBook Live and simply use 'Time Machine' to backup the Mac to the Time Capsule.
I thought the easiest way to resolve the iPhoto library problem was simply to put the library on the MyBook Live drive and then I thought I could simply get 'Time Machine' to backup the MyBook Live drive as well as the Mac. From what I can see, 'Time Machine' won't backup external drives.
Given my configuration and hardware can someone PLEASE suggest a good option. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible. :-)
Surely if Apple would simply allow the iPhoto library to be shared but only accessed by one User at a time it would make it dead simple.
Your earliest possible reply would be appreciated.
    Thank you!!

Is that MyBook Live a NAS?
iPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, exporting, saving edits and sharing the photos.
    See this article
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5168
for more. Note also the comment:
“Additionally, storing the iPhoto library on a network rather than locally on your computer can also lead to poor performance or data loss.”
