Blank screen - white flashes

Question

I'm making software tutorials, recording voice, tracking
mouse clicks, moving screen around etc. Playing on our Intranet
there are quite a few of these dropped frames. Files sizes are
small 5-9MB, no transitions, standard compression. Playing locally
I don't see these dropped frames or see blank frames in the
recordings. Any idea how to fix?

Hi Sharonb,
I think we will need more information to give you some
possible solutions. How many slides on average does your software
tutorial project have? Are the file sizes of 5-9MB the raw
Captivate (CP) files or the sizes of the final published output
(SWF)? When you look at Windows task manager, what percentage of
the cpu time is being taken up with playing your project? Are you
linking one software tutorial project to another when playing the
final output?
The reason I ask is that when linking one project to another,
there is a delay in showing the new project. Locally you won't see
anything but pulling the files over a network will show up the
delay. Also if your Captivate project has too many slides, then you
run out processing power to do nice things such as animation and
sound, resulting in dropped frames.
