Block CO Fields on Time Dependent Tab

Hi all,
On t-code AS02 we would like to prevent someone from changing the Cost Center and Internal Order Fields once value has been applied against an asset.  I've looked at screen layout and SE93 the t-code maintenance function but I have not been able to figure out how to do this.  I know it can be done, so I was hoping to get some guidance from the experts here.
Thank you

Actually the answer is for one to use t-code:
S_AL0_96000020
Then you make sure there is a check mark in the Bal. sheet column
"Used in Balance Sheet
Specifies if the account assignment object is relevant to the balance sheet. Once the asset has been capitalized, it is no longer possible to change the account assignment object in the asset master record."
This sets the field to block editing once the asset has been capitalized.
Thanks everyone for suggesting ides.

  • Enhance the Time Dependent Tab of the Asset Master AS01

    Hi,
My requirement is to enhance the Asset Master Client dependent Tab transaction AS01.
I have added a field in the ANLZ through some Append Structure.
And added that field in the Custom Screen.
After doing the functional config that field is visible.
In the Time dependent tab, when we press MORE INTERVEL PUSH BUTTON A new screen appear with certain fields which already present in the Time dependent tab.
Now my question is: How I can insert the new enhanced field in that and how we can save the data in ANLZ table.
We are using ECC 5.0 version, requirement is to add some fields similler to ECC 6.0 version in time dependent tab of AS01 transaction.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • WBS on Time-Dependent Tab of Asset Master

OK, so my client wants to make this field changeable.  Its currently populted with a WBS element, but greyed-out.
In configuration at the screen-layout rule, this field is required and maintenance levels are checked for both main and sub and copy is also checked.  There seems to be no box for asset class at the maitenance level, so this should not be controlling if the field is changeable or not.
Can someone please help?  also, other weird point, if i create a new asset and save it, I can change it.  But I cannot change an old asset. I ownder if that's because it was already posted to???
    Thanks for your help.

Hey!  I actually already checked that.  It wasn't the problem.  The problem was actually the account assignment was set so that if an item was already capitalized, we couldn't change it .... so i unchecked that box.

  • Functional Location Field In AS02 (Time dependent)

    Hi All,
I need to know if it is possible to add or show functional location in time-dependent tab(tcode AS02), because i found TPLNR(functional location) in table ANLZ. Fyi, ANLZ is the source table of time-dependent tab in tcode AS02.
    Really appreciate your help
    Thanks

    Dear:
First see  layout assigned to your class through OAOA and then go to the path SPRO....Financial Accounting...Asset Accounting...Master Data....Screen Layouts...Define screen layout for master data...select layout...logical field group...select time dependent data...field group rules.. There you will find 89 (functional area)... Make its status optional or mandatory whatever you require.
This will show the field in AS01 for data input.

  • Not appearing in Time characteristics tab

    Hi friends,
    I have created   Z_FISCPER,   Z_REFYTO,  Z_LOADDAT as time characteristics.
But I am unable to see these fields in time characteristics tab in Info object list. But it is viewable in the characteristics tab. My problem is I am unable to create infocube, since I want to take these time characteritics in the time dimension. It is not accepting whenever I drag these fields to Time dimension area.( in BI 7.0)
Please give suggesions, since it is most urgent.
    babu.

    hi Babu,
You cannot assign non-standard characteristics to the time dimension. If you want to include the new time characteristics to the cube do the following.
    1) Drag them to the Characteristics tab.
    2) assign to dimension Additional time characteristics
map them to the date characteristics in update rule.

  • QA11 Blocked stock field as uneditable

    Hi,
Can any one tell me how to disable the blocked stock field ( In inspection lot tab  of QA11 transaction )
for input based on PO item category ? Is there any user exit or Badi for that ?
    Regards,
    Krishnam Raju
Edited by: krishnam raju on Apr 10, 2009 5:50 PM

i guess, in ur case, user exit or badi is right solution. I guess, u know, How to find available user exit for a transaction......for search BADIs, follow below method,
This is the way to find BADI in transaction
    1. Go to the TCode SE24 and enter CL_EXITHANDLER as object type.
    2. In 'Display' mode, go to 'Methods' tab.
    3. Double click the method 'Get Instance' to display it source code.
    4. Set a breakpoint on 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface'.
    5. Then run your transaction.
    6. The screen will stop at this method.
    7. Check the value of parameter 'EXIT_NAME'. It will show you the BADI
    for that transaction.
actually, the above piece is copied from other thread.
after finding a approapriate user-exit/badi, u can code like
    if PO_item_category = item_category_make_disable_field
    Loop at screen
    if......screen = XXX
    screen-input = '0'
    modify screen
    endif
    endloop.
    endif
these days i dont hv sap access, so, pls. just take my code snippet as an idea.

  • Can Evaluation Groups In Asset Master Be Set up As Time Dependent Field

I am just wondering whether evaluation groups can be set up as time dependent and if so, does anyone know how?

    This is not possible.
The fields from the time dependend tab are stored in a different table with time interfal then the rest from the asset masterdata

  • Asset Master: Time dependent

    <b>Hi. All</b>
After I created the Asset master, after that , I going to click on Tab Time dependent then click on Further Interval. It’s always show me the date on 01.01.1900 in field Valid From. Could anyone explain to me why its shows like this anytime and how to set the configuration to show the date when I receive the asset, please?
    <b>Thanks for any help.</b>

    Hi,
The Further Intervals tab is relevant for the Cost Centre Allocation perspective. Please refer to help below:-
    Date for beginning of validity
Date, as of which the time-dependent data for the asset are valid.
    Example
You can allocte an asset to a cost center in the asset master record. You can define specific time intervals for this allocation. You can display the time intervals that are available, and you can select intervals for maintenance.  If the allocation changes, and you want to define a new interval, as of a given point in time, you first have to define the new time interval.  The system then processes the data for the new time interval, and takes over the original allocation.  The system then offers the new interval for maintenance.
Example for maintaining a time-dependent allocation to a cost center:
    1. The current interval is displayed
Valid from Valid to Cost center
    01/01/1992 12/31/9999 1000
    2. Enter new interval
    07/01/1992 - 12/31/9999
    3. Maintenance of data is offered
Valid from Valid to Cost center
    07/01/1992 12/31/9999 1000
    4. Cost center 1000 is changed to cost center 2222
Valid from Valid to Cost center
    07/01/1992 12/31/9999 2222
    5. Internally available intervals:
Valid from Valid to Cost center
    01/01/1992 06/30/1992 1000 <--- created automatically
    07/01/1992 12/31/9999 2222

    Hi
0employee_attr datasource have start and end date is mapped 1:1. target is 0employee? but when i check at 0employee attribute tab i have seen any start  and end date attributes.
If you have it in attr u should be able to assign as read from master data.
    Otherwise routine will be
SELECT STARTDATE from /BI0/MEMPLOYEE where employee = source_fields-employee.
    for start date and
SELECT ENDDATE from /BI0/MEMPLOYEE where employee = source_fields-employee.
    for enddate

  • Time dependent Attibute in my Infoobject ?

    Hi All,
Scenario :I have one Char Infoobject with time dependent attribute in that . Data is loaded as Direct update with full load
We are this to maintain History
    Question :
1.When I go to maintain masterdata I get two attribute add along with my attribute as Valid From and Valid To, is it system genrated ?
2.When I go to transfer rule ,we have maped this two genrated attribute as well - so In our system To date is constant as 31/12/9999 and Valid From is assign to 0calday.
But when I see the data I get the entries for one particular material as multiple - and more ever it automatticaly adjust Valid To date = current calday -1 , the big problem for me I am not able to get How system is doing this adjustment for Valid From and Vaild To dates for previous entries . -
Is this feature of Time depeneded attribute ???
Note : When I see the infopakage I cant find start routine But I can find one date field from source made available only in Selection tab and which is assign to getyesterday (0)
But which is not maped in transfer rule, I was thinking that it might be used to map to Valid to Date  through ABAP.. But I am not able to find code for the same ....
Please advice and Give more info on Time Dependend Attibute .?

1.When I go to maintain masterdata I get two attribute add along with my attribute as Valid From and Valid To, is it system genrated ?
Is this referring an additional record generated by system with diff valid to and from dates ?
Yes, system does that for Time dep m data
    Ex : Profit Center - 9999 -12/31/2006- 01/01/1000 - > System Generated  Record
Profit Center - 9999 -12/31/9999- 01/01/2007 - > One in the source system created by user.
    That is how it works.
But what is your concern because of this sys gen records ?
You will only find the user created profit center in the report.

  • Time dependent data load to BW using Fixed Time Interval selection

    Hi,
I'm facing a problem in extracting time-dependent master data to BW. I would really appreciate if anyone can help in this regard.
We have a table in R/3 which has time-dependent data. For example, for a single OBJID we could have multiple records with different BEGDA/ENDDA and different attributes. When we try to load this data into BW InfoObject, we see a time-dependent data selection in update tab of infopackage. We need to select BEGDA/ENDDA in datasource since otherwise during loads we would get a "DUPLICATE RECORDS" load error in BW.
The problem is when we enter a Fixed-time interval Start Data and End Date in the InfoPackage, only the records with that StartDate and EndDate are loaded. Ideally I would want to see all the records whose BEGDA/ENDDA falls in the range of StartDate and EndDate.
I tried modifying the ROOSFIELD table for the data source. I made the BEGDA SELOPTS as GE(16) and ENNDA SELOPTS as LE(64). But still it doesn't seem to work. I checked if the change to ROOSFIELD has any affect in RSA3. Unless we give a range for BEGDA it doesn't seem to behave as expected. Could someone let me know how I can load all records to BW whose BEGDA/ENDDA fall in the range of StarteDate and EndDate.
    Thanks,
    Anil.

    Anil,
If you are using a custom dataSource, make sure the dataSource fields for begda and ennda are labeled "datefrom" and "dateto".
    Cheers,
    T-

  • How to: from time independent hierarchy to time dependent hierarchy in BW

    Hello goeroes outthere,
I am facing the following problem and was wondering if some of you have faced the same issue.
In ECC we have a time independent hierarchy on Profit Center. Our customer wants to perform time DEPENDENT reporting in BW.
As the standard datasource does not support to be loaded via PSA in the datasource definition (only IDOC) we cannot enhance the datasource with fields such as DATEFROM and DATETO. I've tried doing so but this results in the following error message when loading : Selected number does not agree with transferred number of records.
So I have cancelled out this as being an option.
I am analyzing the following two options :
    1. Making the hierarchy time dependent. (globally). The idea would be to create a custom ABAP program that would copy the loaded hierarchy to a hierarchy in which we define the datefrom as the actual system date and the dateto as 31.12.9999.
Prior to doing so the abap program should change the already loaded hierarchy by modifying the dateTO as actual system date -1 in the header of the hierarchy.
In theory this seems to be a good option, but I am afraid of the complexity of the ABAP program to be created by looking in debug how the copying process is handled in SAP.
    2. Making the hierarchy structure TIme dependant. THis has as a consequence that the table  /BI0/HPROFIT_CTR is adjusted to include DATETO and DATEFROM fields. A custom program could read the entries and perform the same activities as described above. So meaning finding and modifying the existing entries with DATETO fields with as an entry 31.12.9999 to adjust to sysdatum -1 and modfying all entries that don't have dateto and datefrom entries by putting datefrom (=sysdate) and the dateto (=31.12.9999).
The issue here is that first we need to find the link between the hierarchy ID and the Hierarchy loaded and that I am not sure how SAP will deal with this SID wise.
Option 1 seems feasable as the hierarchy does'nt change every single day and doesn't require to be loaded every single day. But before going in this direction, I would appreciate some confirmation of my approach.
Thanks in advance for sharing your lights on this topic.
    Rgds,
    Bvpe

    Hi Bart,
I just solved this very problem today in a two step process:
In our implementation, we only want to control when a new version of the hierarchy is created.  If nothing changes, whatever is brought in from the source system will just replace the current version.  We imagine we'll only create versions at month end or major re-organization.
    1) I created a Select Options variable in tcode: stvarv called ZPROFCTR_FROMDATE.  I added a value to the low position and set the option to equals.
    2) Open the infoPackage that is used to load the hierachy from the source system.  Go to the Hierarchy Selection Tab and click on the button at the bottom of the tabbed frame "Dynamic Hierarchy Selections".
You should see two check boxes, place a check in the second box: "Determine Using Routine"  Click on the create icon and put this in the routine
      p_s_sel_hier = l_s_presel_hier.
      data: tempfrom type tvarv_val.
      select single low
      from tvarvc
      into tempfrom
      where name = 'ZPROFCTR_FROMDATE'.
      move tempfrom to p_s_sel_hier-datefrom.
      p_s_sel_hier-dateto = '99991231'.
      clear p_subrc.
I've include the entire subroutine for context, and so you can see the SAP generated coments in the form that attempt to explain what the form is going to do.
Long story short, the hierarchy you have selected with the radio button on the Hierarchy Selection tab will be the one that is affected by this logic.
    form compute_hier
      tables l_t_all_hier structure rshiertrsf
      using l_s_presel_hier like rshiertrsf
            l_infopackage   type rslogdpid
      changing p_s_sel_hier like rshiertrsf
               p_subrc like sy-subrc.
*Insert Source Code to decide which Hierarchy shall be loaded.
*The Hierarchy you select from table l_t_all_hier and fill
    *into p_s_sel_hier will be loaded.
*The Structure l_s_presel_hier contains the pre-selection of the
*BW-Scheduler - just to inform you what the BW wll load
    *if you change nothing.
*$*$ begin of routine - insert your code only below this line        *-*
      p_s_sel_hier = l_s_presel_hier.
      data: tempfrom type tvarv_val.
      select single low
      from tvarvc
      into tempfrom
      where name = 'ZPROFCTR_FROMDATE'.
      move tempfrom to p_s_sel_hier-datefrom.
      p_s_sel_hier-dateto = '99991231'.
      clear p_subrc.
*$*$ end of routine - insert your code only before this line         *-*
    endform.                    "compute_hier
    Hope this helps,
    Quack
