Functional Location Field In AS02 (Time dependent)

Hi All,
I need to know if it is possible to add or show functional location in time-dependent tab(tcode AS02), because i found TPLNR(functional location) in table ANLZ. Fyi, ANLZ is the source table of time-dependent tab in tcode AS02.

Dear:
          First see  layout assigned to your class through OAOA and then go to the path SPRO....Financial Accounting...Asset Accounting...Master Data....Screen Layouts...Define screen layout for master data...select layout...logical field group...select time dependent data...field group rules.. There you will find 89 (functional area)... Make its status optional or mandatory whatever you require.
This will show the field in AS01 for data input.

    I have chosen the screen layout and review all Logical Field Groups. And there's no field "Functional Location" is available. I also didn't find "Add New" button to add "Functional Location" field.

    I am sorry this is not possible.
    Note 140482:
    The field was created as a precaution. However, it is not being used at 
    present and consequently is not supplied.                               
    In particular, you cannot use the field as a criterion for a selection  
    in Asset Accounting reporting. This is still true even if this field has
    been included in the selection view delivered for the dynamic selections
    by modification.

  • Functional Location field is Grayed out in change mode

    Dear Experts ,
    I have created an equipment automatically  through serial number managed material .
    But the equipment created has no functional location assigned to it .
    Also when in change mode of the equipment the functional location field is grayed out & there is no provision to dismantle & reassign the same .
    Pls tell me how can i assign a functional loaction to this automatically created equipment ??

    In IMG ...
       Equipments --> Equipment Uasge Period --> Define Installation at functional Location
    I have put a tick for the checkbox " Inst . at Func. Loc" against the said equipment category
    Is ther anywhere else in IMG that i need 2 assign/check .
    while trying 2 assign a functional location for this equipment the system give the error :
    No InstallLocation entered: Data transfer not possible
    Message no. IA036

    The field equipment or f.loc can be made mandatory using transaction variants  -- but it would be applicable for all order types .....
    1.use tcode SHD0 , give IW31 in Transaction code and ZIW31 in transaction variants and press create ..
    2.this would take you to IW31 initial screen and enter planning plant and order types and press enter this would give the dialog box of screen variant .Here press continue and this would take you to inside screen .
    3.Here you again press enter and by entering some required data you can finally reach to screen variant of reference object
    and can mark the equipment or f.loc field mandatory as required .
    4.Once this is finished you can you can select local object and save ... and come back and test the same ... now this trans varint ZIW31 can be assigned to user group ...

    Can any one help me out.
    Fields Equipment and Function Location are not refelecting in operation tab of general task list..in my Dev system
    but when i test the same in IDES its refelcting there
    I try to sort out this issue via Task List Field Selection.. but still helpless.. couldn't find these fields here also to make it unhide..

    Hi Kapil,
                 As I know there is no field for Equipment or FLock, as this is the general Task List and can be used in any Equipment.
    If you are using IA05, there wont be any Equipment or FLock field in the same.
    In IA01 you can Definitely find the same as this is the Equipment Specific Task List.
    and IN IA11 you can find the field for the Functional Location.

  • How can I relate an equipment with the PP Work center & functional location

    Hi,
    I'm trying to relate equipments with their PP work centers (field ITOBATTR-ARBPL listed in the Location tab of the equipment) and the functional location (field ITOB-TPLNR listed in the Structure tab of the equipment) through SQVI.
    The workcenter is in a structure and the functional location relation in table ITOB gives me thousands of results with different functional locations per equipment so I can't tell which one is the propper one.
    Additionally I would like to filter the equipments flagged for deletion, but I also can't find the field of thet flag).
    In resume I need to create a query that gives me all equipments not flagged for deletion with their corresponding PP Work center and functional location.

    Please check table EQUZ or view V_EQUI.
    In table EQUZ (GEWRK is the work center object number ) -> Use this go to table CRHD and find ARBPL for the correct time slot.
    For fucntional location in EQUZ (ILOAN is the location assignment ) -> go to table ILOA with the ILOAN and fetch TPLNR.
    Please ensure you fetch records which are currently valid from EQUZ (Use the valid to date field compare . Valid to date must be greater than or equal to current date).

    Thank you for all your helpful answers that I posted earlier!!!
    I am working on master data material sales attribute. I have turned on time dependency attribute material group 2 for this master data.
    There are two new fields valid from date and valid to date generated in the communication structure.
    The source system is R3. I need to do the mapping between R3 and BW.
    On R3, there are:
    LDBFL --->Date to which listed in the store
    LDVFL --->Date from which listed in the store
    LDBZL --> Date to which listed in the central warehouse
    LDVZL --> Date to which listed in the central warehouse
    VDBFL -->Date to which is sold in the store
    VDVFL --->Date from which listed in the store
    I am expecting to use the new "valid to" and "valid from" fields to capture time dependency field Material Group 2.
    I am not sure if I can use the fields above to map it to the new "valid to" and "valid from" fields.
    Please advice!!! If I couldn't do the mapping here, what do you suggest??

    You requirement would let you know which field is the one the user wants to see when analyzing data. Your functional or the business user is the right person to answer your question

    Is possible that one equipment be installed at more than one functional location?
    If not allowed, is there any SAP document stated that one equipment only allow be installed at one functional location?

    It all depends on how you define your equipment in SAP system. SAP system will have one unique number say 123456 for one equipment. Say this is Pump no.1.  Due to your requirements if you want to have the same equipment at other location and want to create another Equipment for Pump no.1., System does not stop you. It will provide you another number say 123457. With this, hope you understand the concept of why one equipment will be there at one place at one time.

  • Functional locations from order to notification

    Hello
    We have a small problem regarding how the functional location field in the notification is filled. The user creates an order Iw31, and on his peronal settings there is defined a value for functional location, the top of a hierarchy. In the order he changes this value to the correct functional location, and everything else in the order, then he saves it and a notification is created (for some ordertypes) in that notification the functional location is not from the order, but from the personal settings, if we remove the personal settings the notification is updated correct. Is there a way to get it updated correct without removing the value from the personal setting?

    Its not possible when you set User Default values settings. Check the below links.
    From SAP Help:
    If you create notifications in which certain data is always the same, you can permanently define certain user default values to make it easier to create the notifications. The system automatically copies this default data into the appropriate notification fields. You can, however, overwrite the proposed information.

  • How is functional location linked with work order tables

    Hi, Experts:
    I am working on a BW project to extract Plant Maintenance data from R/3 to BW system. We need to get work order data with related Functional Location data togather. When check the 2 tables AFIH for Work Order header and AUKF for Order master data, I don't see Functional Location field in neither of the 2 tables.
    Can anyone please tell me how (by which table/field) Functional Location data in table IFLOT is linked to a Work Order stored in tables AFIH and AUKF?

    Thanks for the reply! I tried to get the values of ILOAN from table AFIH. And pass the value to the field ILOAN in ITOB. However, no data returned from ITOB. The ILOAN in AFIH has different set of values from the ILOAN in ITOB.

  • Functional Location should Auto Populate when installed Equipment is select

    Hi All,
    In our client I have made the Functional location mandatory field during the Notification and Maintenance Order creation.
    When a Work Order or Notification is created with Equipment number then Functional Location is not automatically populated.
    If we create Notification and Order through IH01 then only functional location is coming automatically but I need through IW21 and IW31.
    Can anybody please tell me how I can achieve this functionality?

    Hi,
    The functional location will be automatically populated in IW21/31 when you enter the equipment. However there is a problem if you make the functional location field mandatory. In that case the system expects user to fill the functional location field before any logic is executed to set a default. The screen processing, including checks for required fields, is processed first. So an error will be generated asking the user to fill the f/loc field. They will not be able to proceed until the field is filled by user input.
    The solution is to not make the functional location field mandatory. You can then implement exits QQMA0014 (for notifications) and IWO10009 (for orders) to check that functional location field is not empty.

    Created a Info Set (outer Join) based on Emp No and DSO....
    Created a Query based on the infoset and the Location * Job are Free Chars in the report
    In the query property setting entered KEYDATE as 31.12.999
    When i executed report and drilldown on Job or location it is displaying me 2 records for each employee one with Blank and the other with information.....
    It should display only one record..most recent record avaliable in Emp master data
