Block SE16 Access to Table PA0008

How to block se16 from accessing the table PA0008?

Hi,
   you can block this Infotype for maintenance form the perticular user, this has to be done by the Basis people with certain Authorizations. So, ask them to do.

Narendra.

  • Block user access to table

    Hi,
    may be an easy question, but have not managed to find an answer yet.
    I have a table MYTABLE and I have a view MYVIEW.
    MYVIEW is set up as:
    create or replace force view MYVIEW
    as select * from MYTABLE
    Is it possible to restrict direct access to MYTABLE so that users cannot run a select * from MYTABLE, but they can view the results only if they run select * from MYVIEW?
    Thanks very mucyh in advance

    Did you actually grant select on myview to user1?  User1 does not need to have any privileges on the base table to be able to select from it.  Unless there is a synonym defined pointing to the view (either a private synonym in user1's schema or a public synonym) user1 will need to qualify the view name with the owner.
    What are you doing differently than this?
    SQL> select * from t;
            ID DESCR
             0 One
             0 Two
             0 Three
    SQL> create view my_view as select * from t;
    View created.
    SQL> create user user1 identified by secret;
    User created.
    SQL> grant create session to user1;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> grant select on my_view to user1;
    Grant succeeded.
    SQL> connect user1/secret
    Connected.
    SQL> select * from ops$oracle.my_view;
            ID DESCR
             0 One
             0 Two
             0 Three

  • Business user  needs to view tables with out SE16 access

    Hi ,
    There is a requirement where  business user  ( Data team)    need to view some master and transactional data tables  in  production . But , as per our process , end users will not  be given SE16  access .
    Is there any solution where we can allow the end user  to view tables with out SE16 access ?
    Thanks in advance .
    Thanks .
    Dharma.

    Hi,
    Using Function Module C160_TRANSACTION_CALL you can call any tcode which dont have access..
    Create a report  and call function module and pass se16 to parameter .
    CALL FUNCTION 'C160_TRANSACTION_CALL' "
      EXPORTING
        i_tcode =        'SE16'            " sy-tcode
      EXCEPTIONS
        ILLEGAL_INPUT = 1           "
        INTERNAL_ERROR = 2          "
        .  "  C160_TRANSACTION_CALL
    now create a tcode for this report as ZSE16.,
    hope this helps u.,
    You can also create Data browser ( SE16 ) in report and display as ALV., using Field Symbols and RTTS.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran

  • How does oracle accesses v$ tables or views in mount state

    Hi All,
    I want to know how oracle accesses fixed tables/views while the database is in mount state.
    I did the following:
    1. Started the database in mount state.
    2. Query v$database ,v$datafile--Successful
    3. Queried dba_data_files.---ERROR
    SQL> select * from dba_data_files;
    select * from dba_data_files
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01219: database not open: queries allowed on fixed tables/views only
    As per my understanding goes,all these tables are a part of Data Dictionary which is stored physically on system tablespace.
    Now since the database is mounted ,it cannot access any part of system tablespace's data.Am I right??
    So how does it queries v$ tables and other fixed database tables in mount state???
    Thanks in advance
    Saket Bansal

    the v$(dynamic) view comes from instance
    the dba(static) views comes from dictionary
    but there is only one view can be look while instance is in nomount mode
    and that is
    v$instance ,,,
    BUT ONLY THING I DON KNOW IS WHY WE CAN STILL DESCRIBE THE V$ VIEWS WHILE INSTANCE IS IN NOMOUNT MODE,,,
    ORACLE instance shut down.
    SQL> startup nomount;
    ORACLE instance started.

  • Attach a selection screen to a Tcode before accessing the table Contents

    Hi All,
         I have a requirement where when we access table from se16 we get a default selection screen...So the same selection screen should b displayed when that table is accessed directly with a transaction code attached to it..i mean the path is Tcode -->selection screen --> table/view contents.

    Hi srinivas,
    first let us discuss about your requirement.when you go to transaction se16 and enter a table name and then when you press enter you will get a selection screen to cretae or view contents of that table.you want to get that selection screen by entering any tcode in command bar.
    if this is your requirement please follow these steps.
    1)go to se16
    2)enter the table name and then press enter.you will get a selection screen for that table as we discussed
    3)in the selection screen go to menu item
      System->Status...
    you will get another screen
    4)in that screen you will see
    in SAP data->in Repository data->Program(Screen)
    note that program name
    5)go to se93(to create a transaction)
    6)enter a tcode which you like and press create
    7)  you will get another screen and in that screen select the radio button
       Program and selectio screen(Report Transaction)
    8)you will get create report transaction screen
    9)in that screen in program text box enter the program name that you noted earlier
    10)check all the checkboxes in GUI support
    11)save,check and execute the transaction.you will get the selection screen that you get when you use se16 for that table.
    please check the screen by entering the tcode that you created in teh command bar.
    please reward points if useful.

  • Port Access Mapping Table

    PORT_ACCESS
    TCP|*|*|192.168.1.121|* \
    $C$[IMTA_LIB:conn_throttle.so,throttle,$1,1]\
    $N421$ Too$ Many$ Connection$E
    Anyone has any idea what does these lines do? Especially, I would like to know whether $1 refers to the 1st "*" or the 2nd "*" ??

    I suggest having a look at the improved documentation for 6.1:
    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-6266/filter.html
    A particular IP address can be limited to how often it connects to the MTA by using the shared library, conn_throttle.so in the Port Access mapping table. Limiting connections by particular IP addresses may be useful for preventing excessive connections used in denial-of-service attacks.
    conn_throttle.so is a shared library used in a PORT_ACCESS mapping table to limit MTA connections made too frequently from particular IP addresses. All configuration options are specified as parameters to the connection throttle shared library as follows:
    $[msg_svr_base/lib/conn_throttle.so,throttle,IP-address,max-rate]
    IP-address is the dotted-decimal address of the remote system. max-rate is the connections per minute that shall be the enforced maximum rate for this IP-address.
    The routine name throttle_p may be used instead of throttle for a penalizing version of the routine. throttle_p will deny connections in the future if theyve connected too many times in the past. If the maximum rate is 100, and 250 connections have been attempted in the past minute, not only will the remote site be blocked after the first 100 connections in that minute, but theyll also be blocked during the second minute. In other words, after each minute, max-rate is deducted from the total number of connections attempted and the remote system is blocked as long as the total number of connections is greater than the maximum rate.
    If the IP-address specified has not exceeded the maximum connections per minute rate, the shared library callout will fail.
    If the rate has been exceeded, the callout will succeed, but will return nothing. This is done in a $C/$E combination as in the example:
    PORT_ACCESS
    TCP|*|25|*|* \
    $C$[msg_svr_base/lib/conn_throttle.so,throttle,$1,10] \
    $N421$ Connection$ not$ accepted$ at$ this$ time$E
    Where,
    $C continues the mapping process starting with the next table entry; uses the output string of this entry as the new input string for the mapping process.
    $[msg_svr_base/lib/conn_throttle.so,throttle,$1,10] is the library call with throttle as the library routine, $1 as the server IP Address, and 10 the connections per minute threshold.
    $N421$ Connection$ not$ accepted$ at$ this$ time rejects access and returns the 421 SMTP code (transient negative completion) along with the message Connection not accepted at this time.
    $E ends the mapping process now. It uses the output string from this entry as the final result of the mapping process.

  • How do I replace someone else's Mac ID with my own? Bought iPhone second hand. Previous owner re-set the phone but his ICloud account stayed on now my phone. He uses his macID on his new iPhone now?? Any ideas, as this issue is blocking my access to iTune

    How do I replace someone else's Mac ID with my own?
    Bought iPhone second hand on TradeMe.
    Previous owner re-set the phone but his ICloud account stayed on now my phone. He uses his AppleID on his new iPhone now and, understandably, does not want to give me his password. Any ideas?? Please.
    This issue is blocking my access to iTunes and any other file from my home computer. It keeps on telling me that I have to autorise my computer to pass on files, yet, it seems, for all this to happen, I need to get logged in through the phone's Apple ID. This of course is different to my one on my computer - and I have no password for it.
    This phone is not stolen!! I payed still a fair bit for it. Am still in contact with the previous owner. He doesn't know how to fix the problem either.
    Would appreciate any suggestion ????
    Thanks

    Settings>general>resets>erase all content and settings.
    That will put it back to its out of the box state. Set it up with your own apple Id.

    Hi all,
    I am writing a code where in i have to transfer data from excel to database table.
    Iam getting the excel data in an itab. Can anybody help me with how to access internal tables at runtime ?
    i am using the following code with sy-tabix. here, when the sy-tabix is odd it picks up the value,
    but i want that within the same loop when i increment sy-tabix by 1, then it should fetch the second column of same row. But its not working as it shows an error that it does not permit subfield access.
    the code is as follows:
    LOOP AT t_tab[] into wa_tab .
      data: l_tabix type sy-tabix,
            name_index type sy-tabix.
            data: c type i.
            l_tabix = sy-tabix.
            name_index = l_tabix+1.
            c = ( l_tabix mod 2 ).
    ******to check if sy-tabix is odd**********
           if c ne 0.
             READ TABLE t_tab into wa_tab index l_tabix.
             wa_product1-product = wa_tab-VALUE.
    ************incrementing sy-tabix*************
             READ TABLE t_tab into wa_tab index name_index. (here it shows error)
             wa_product1-product_name = wa_tab-value.
           endif.
      endloop.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Accessing BKPF table takes too long

    Hi,
    Is there another way to have a faster and more optimized sql query that will access the table BKPF? Or other smaller tables that contain the same data?
    I'm using this:
       select bukrs gjahr belnr budat blart
       into corresponding fields of table i_bkpf
       from bkpf
       where bukrs eq pa_bukrs

    The report is taking too long and is eating up a lot of resources.
    Any helpful advice is highly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi max,
    I also tried using BUDAT in the where clause of my sql statement, but even that takes too long.
        select bukrs gjahr belnr budat blart monat
         appending corresponding fields of table i_bkpf
         from bkpf
         where bukrs eq pa_bukrs
         and gjahr eq pa_gjahr
         and blart in so_DocTypes
         and budat in so_budat.
    I also tried accessing the table per day, but it didn't worked too...
       while so_budat-low le so_budat-high.
         select bukrs gjahr belnr budat blart monat
         appending corresponding fields of table i_bkpf
         from bkpf
         where bukrs eq pa_bukrs
         and gjahr eq pa_gjahr
         and blart in so_DocTypes
         and budat eq so_budat-low.
         so_budat-low = so_budat-low + 1.
       endwhile.
    I think our BKPF tables contains a very large set of data. Is there any other table besides BKPF where we could get all accounting document numbers in a given period?

  • TIME_OUT when accessing Oracle table from SAP using native SQL

    Hi,
    I have a problem in one of my native SQL statement. It takes a long time accessing the table considering that the number of records to be retrieved is only small.
    Something happened on the Oracle system. But, stilll to be confirmed. Looking further at the issue, it seems that when the value in the where clause equated is a literal (meaning the value is not declared in DATA or CONSTANTS in the ABAP Program)
    Example
    1.
    EXEC.
    WHERE FIELD = '1'
    ENDEXEC.
    instead of
    2.
    CONSTANTS: c_1 value '1'.
    EXEC.
    WHERE FIELD = c_1
    ENDEXEC.
    i found that when the way of coding is same as Example 1, a time-out error occurs. But when in Example 2, no issue.
    Can someone explain this?
    Thanks!

    Repetitively asking the same question again and again is against the forum rules.
    Please post an explain of the SQL statement on the remote machine.

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14200/statements_7001.htm
    How ever, the user accessing must have SELECT (and INSERT/UPDETE/DELETE?) permissions granted.And also we can use public synonymes.
