Blocking FastEthernet - Inconsistent port type

I am trying to add a new C2950-4 switch to ASA but some for reason the nearby 2950-2 will get shutdown due to spanning tree messages as soon as the interface is active.
ASA Port 1 is connected to a daisy-chain style C2950s and ASA port 2 is connected a brand new C2950-4 switch with nothing attached.

It appears that the ASA is bridging BPDUs. By design, an access interface should not received tagged BPDUs; if it does, it implies that you have a misconfiguration with one side of an interface configured as a trunk and the other side as an access switch port. When this happens, on receipt of the tagged BPDU, the access port is blocked with the error messages that you see in your situation.
I believe the ASA in transparent mode bridges BPDUs silently but I could be wrong. I'm not great with ASAs.

Aninda

    Hi
    I'm trying to add a script to my header on my SSRS report. I've been following this link:
    http://blogs.infosupport.com/reporting-services-javascript-injection/
    I get error stating:
    SEC7112: Script from http//####/HCCReportsServer?/ReportsLibrary/script.js was blocked due to mime type mismatch
    My code:
    ="<a href=""javascript:eval(unescape('function addScript(scriptFile){var head = document.getElementsByTagName(\'HEAD\')[0]; var script = document.createElement(\'script\'); script.setAttribute(\'language\', \'JScript\'); script.setAttribute(\'type\', \'text/Javascript\'); script.setAttribute(\'src\', scriptFile); head.appendChild(script);} addScript(\'http://dc1-sqlrs-d02/HCCReportsServer?/ReportsLibrary/script.js\');'))"">inject</a>"
    Please help. This is urgent to get it working for a demo.
    Thanks

    Hi Sunette,
    Based on my understanding, you come across an SEC7112 error when you inject JavaScript into the Reporting Services.
    In your scenario, you should remove the below setting in the web.config file(Location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\<your port>).
    <add name="X-Content-Type-Options" value="nosniff" />
    As we tested in our environment(SQL Server 2012,SharePoint 2013,IE 11), we can inject JavaScript successfully. Please refer our test steps and results:
    1. Delete “X-Content-Type-Options" with value "nosniff" within the web.config file (Location: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\VirtualDirectories\80).
    2. Design the report as below, then deploy the report to the SharePoint site.
    3. Create the script.js file with code below, and upload to the SharePoint site.
    function test()
    alert("The CHANGEME textbox will actually change…");
    //var doc = window.frames[1][1].document;
    var el = document.getElementsByTagName('span');
    for (var nr=0; nr<el.length; nr++)
    if (el[nr].innerHTML == "CHANGEME")
    el[nr].innerHTML = "I FEEL LIKE A CHANGED TEXTBOX";
    4. Run the report. Click the “inject”->”test”, the final results should look like below:
    If you have any question, please feel free to ask.

  • STP Port type Network in VPC

    Hi All,
    I have a topology like two vpc peer connected to down catalyst switch 3750 with VPC 51. My left switch is primary in VPC and other is secondary.
    if i enable spanning tree port type Network on VPC member ports and peer link. Then Secondary peer device start generating BPDU's and advertise its own bridge ID to Down host swich.
    Then Can you explain how down switch react to that because in this scenario down switch recieve two different Bridge ID's one from Primary and other from Secondary on same port channel which is logical one port.
    How it gonna handle this?
    I read regardless of the Spanning-tree root, VPC primay always generate BPDU and seconday device only rely that bpdu and never generate itself.
    what if somebody enable spanning tree port type Network towards down host switch on VPC member ports. Type network would generate BPDU's.

    Hie Bhanu,
    The STP is working as expected in your design. For a gig port port cost is 4. So for 1st 2950 cost to root is 8 thr 3550a. For 2nd 2950 cost to root is 12 thr 3550a and 16 thr 3550b so first one in preferred and later one is blocked. But for 3rd 2950 cost to root is 16 thr 3550a but thr 3550 b it is 12. Hence 3rd 2950 forwards traffic thr 3550b-6513b-6513a. This operation seems to be ok unless you have some specific requirements to change.
    Changing port channel cost is not a good idea. both the 6500s are using this channel for communication between them. If you block this link, the 6500s will have to communicate thr all the access switches which is not a good design.

  • Azure can block mysql output port (3306)?

    hello,
    i have two servers one stays in Azure and one in Amazon.
    in some moments of day i get error when try connect in mysql(Amazon), for test, i tryed make a telnet.
    if i try
    "telnet amazon 22"
    i got sucess
    if i try
    "telnet amazon 3306"
    i got failure
    My question is " azure firewall or something can block some port automaticaly for some reason ? "
    how i can "fix" this block?
    Thanks

    Hello mscampos92,
    1. How have you connected your servers from Azure and Amazon?
    Please ensure that you have port 3306 from the portal.
    To configure an endpoint for the MySQL Server service:
    1. In the Azure Management Portal, click Virtual Machines, click the name of your MySQL virtual machine, and then click Endpoints.
    2. In the command bar, click Add.
    3. On the Add an endpoint to a virtual machine page, click the right arrow.
    4. If you are using the default MySQL TCP port of 3306, click MySQL in Name, and then click the check mark.
    5. If you are using a different TCP port, type a unique name in Name. Select TCP in protocol, type the port number in both Public Port and Private Port, and then click the check mark.
    To add a Windows Firewall rule that allows MySQL traffic from the Internet, run this command at an administrator-level Windows PowerShell command prompt on the MySQL server computer.
    New-NetFirewallRule -DisplayName "MySQL56" -Direction Inbound –Protocol TCP –LocalPort 3306 -Action Allow -Profile Public
    You can refer to this link for more information on this:
    http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/virtual-machines-mysql-windows-server-2008r2/
    As long as you have the ports open, Azure would not block the sql output.
    However, if this does not work, I request you to let me know how exactly you have connected your servers.
    Also refer:

  • Do I configure spanning-tree port type ed trunk on LACP port-channels

    Hello,
    Can't seem to see a clear answer and wondering if something could offer some advice please?
    We are using LACP aggregation across all our 10 gig attached servers and also trunking them.  We're running a VPC pair of 5596 Nexus.
    For a standard trunk port I always add the spanning-tree port type edge trunk to the interface config.
    However I think I should be adding this to the overiding port-channel config.  At present a colleague has configured the VPC below omitting the spanning-tree port type config.
    interface port-channel100
      description a-server
      switchport mode trunk
      switchport trunk allowed vlan 100
      vpc 100
    The port member configs are these which do contain the spanning tree port type:
    interface Ethernet1/1
      description a-server(1)
      switchport mode trunk
      switchport trunk allowed vlan 100
      spanning-tree port type edge trunk
      channel-group 100 mode active
    I always try to keep the overiding port channel config the same as its members and obviously for most config, you can't have disparate configs anyway.
    However for the spanning tree config the NexOS allows you to have the members with spanning tree port types and not have to reflect that in the port-channel.
    However I have this issue with STP:
    Switch1# show spanning-tree interface po100
    Vlan             Role Sts Cost      Prio.Nbr Type
    VLAN0100         Desg BKN*200       128.4996 (vPC) Network P2p *BA_Inc
    Is this due to the inconsistency with my port channel to member configs?
    Any advice would be gratefully accepted.
    Thanks!

    Hi Paul, there are some parameters you can define on individual ports and there are some of them that will be inherited from the port-channel configuration no matter what has been configured under the infidividual ports. Spanning-tree configuration is one of the inherited ones. As soon as the port joins into a port-channel, it will start to use spanning-tree settings under the port-channel. When it leaves the channel, then it can continue to use the individual configuration.
    There is a nice summary here under NX-OS Interface Conf Guide > Port-Channel Conf:

  • How to block a Billing Document Type?

    Hi forum
    I need to block the billing document type FV-Invoice Contract.
    Is there some configuration to do that?  I found VOFA where you can change billings documents, but I cant find how to block it.
    Thanks for your support.

    If I am correct, go to IMG Sales and Distribution --> Billing --> Billing document --> Define Blocking reasons --> Aassign blocking reasons to billing types.
    Right now I dont have access to SAP and hence not sure on the path.

  • Creation of client proxy for a WSDL with 2 port types??

    Hi,
    I am trying to consume an external web service from SAP - ECC6.0. The WSDL file has 2 porttype definitions - one for i/p and one for o/p
    When I proceed with SE80 to create a client proxy, it asks me to select any one port type to generate the client proxy. If I select only the input port, it generates proxy for the input port alone.
    In this scenario, how do I create proxies and configure logical ports, and call it from a single program to invoke the whole web servie with both i/p and o/p?
    TIA,
    Regards
    Deepthi

    Hi,
    i.       Import your message schemas from external definitions, or RFCs or IDocs from SAP systems. These definitions already contain data types.
    ii.       Create a message interface and reference the messages of the external definition, or the RFC or IDoc message.
    Check this, it may help you

  • Purchase order Block for UB document type

    Hi
    I have closed the site (e.g. R200) through transaction code WB02; closed the site date and also bloke the vendor u2013 R200.
    When I am trying to create purchase order with document type UB, as supplying site u2013 R200, it is allowing me to create Purchaser orderu2026
    While, vendor u2013R200 is blocking during creation of purchaser order with document type NB, as it should be, because we have block the vendor.
    My requirement is that, I would like to block PO during document type UB as well.
    Please help me, if there are some master data needs to be block.
    Please note that, we have been asked not to remove config from u2018default document type for stock transfer orderu2019,
    Regards
    Vanraj

    Thanks Padmsri,
    as you suggested, supplying site R200 is already assigned to R200 vendor and we have blocked the vendor as well.
    and company code is also same for both,
    but still, we are able to create PO for UB type, however it is blocking for NB type.
    could you please help more on that or guide us to where we can explore... is it some config or master data?

  • Problems with java constructor: "inconsistent data types" in SQL query

    Hi,
    I tried to define a type "point3d" with some member functions, implemented in java, in my database. Therefor I implemented a class Point3dj.java as you can see it below and loaded it with "loadjava -user ... -resolve -verbose Point3dj.java" into the database.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    package spatial.objects;
    import java.sql.*;
    public class Point3dj implements java.sql.SQLData {
    public double x;
    public double y;
    public double z;
    public void readSQL(SQLInput in, String type)
    throws SQLException {
    x = in.readDouble();
    y = in.readDouble();
    z = in.readDouble();
    public void writeSQL(SQLOutput out)
    throws SQLException {
    out.writeDouble(x);
    out.writeDouble(y);
    out.writeDouble(z);
    public String getSQLTypeName() throws SQLException {
    return "Point3dj";
    public Point3dj(double x, double y, double z)
    this.x = x;
    this.y = y;
    this.z = z;
    public static Point3dj create(double x, double y, double z)
    return new Point3dj(x,y,z);
    public double getNumber()
         return Math.sqrt(this.x*this.x + this.y*this.y + this.z*this.z);
    public static double getStaticNumber(double px, double py, double pz)
         return Math.sqrt(px*px+py*py+pz*pz);
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Additionally, I created the corresponding type in SQL by
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE point3dj AS OBJECT EXTERNAL NAME
    'spatial.objects.Point3dj' LANGUAGE JAVA USING SQLDATA (
    x FLOAT EXTERNAL NAME 'x',
    y FLOAT EXTERNAL NAME 'y',
    z FLOAT EXTERNAL NAME 'z',
    MEMBER FUNCTION getNumber RETURN FLOAT
    EXTERNAL NAME 'getNumber() return double',
    STATIC FUNCTION getStaticNumber(xp FLOAT, yp FLOAT, zp FLOAT) RETURN FLOAT
    EXTERNAL NAME 'getStaticNumber(double, double, double) return double')
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    After that I tried some SQL commands:
    create table pointsj of point3dj;
    insert into pointsj values (point3dj(2,1,1));
    SELECT x, a.getnumber() FROM pointsj a;Now, the problem:
    Everything works fine, if I delete the constructor
    public Point3dj(double x, double y, double z)
    this.x = x;
    this.y = y;
    this.z = z;
    in the java class, or if I replace it with a constructor that has no input arguments.
    But with this few code lines in the java file, I get an error when executing the SQL command
    SELECT x, a.getnumber() FROM pointsj a;The Error is:
    "ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: an IN argument at position 1 that is an instance of an Oracle type convertible to an instance of a user defined Java class expected, an Oracle type that could not be converted to a java class received"
    I think, there are some problems with the input argument of the constructor, but why? I don't need the constructor in SQL, but it is used by a routine of another java class, so I can't just delete it.
    Can anybody help me? I would be very glad about that since I already tried a lot and also search in forums and so on, but wasn't successful up to new.
    Thanks!

    Dear Avi,
    This makes sense when it is a short code sample (and i think i've done that across various posts), but sometime this is too long to copy/paste, in these cases, i refer to the freely available code samples, as i did above on this forum; here is the quote.
    Look at examples of VARRAY and Nested TABLES of scalar types in the code samples of my book (chapter 8) http://books.elsevier.com/us//digitalpress/us/subindex.asp?maintarget=companions/defaultindividual.asp&isbn=9781555583293&country=United+States&srccode=&ref=&subcode=&head=&pdf=&basiccode=&txtSearch=&SearchField=&operator=&order=&community=digitalpress
    As you can see, i was not even asking people to buy the book, just telling them where to grab the code samples.
    I appreciate your input on this and as always, your contribution to the forum, Kuassi

  • Creating new logical ports for WSDL with several port types not working

    Hi all,
    I am trying to integrate some BODS webservice into the BPM. I am using CE 7.2 Kernel Version:     7.20.3710. When I am trying to assign a provider system in the application configuration I get following error:
    The provider system successfully found the needed service, but its wsdl is without webservice policy. Thus the generated client configuration might not work because of different configurations between service and client (most probable a difference in the security settings). Either assign a provider system with access to wsdl with policy or manually create the client configuration.
    The regarding provider system is using a communication profil where the authentication method is set to "none". Normally this configuration should work, but it isn't.
    So I started to create new logical ports for each port type. But then I get the error:
    Port type name of loaded WSDL does not match the port type name of the Service Reference.
    I checked already the port type names in the WSDL but they are 100% the same. What I found was that the configuration is always trying to use the first port type in the WSDL. So I am not able to configure the other port types in the service group.
    I also tried to do the same thing using a WSDL with just one port type and surprise it is working...
    I hope somebody can help me out
    Thanks in advance

  • Source port type for BPELProcess does not match target port type for EJB

    Hi gurus,
    I have a problem with calling EJBs from a 11.1.1.3 composite. The following summarizes the issue:
    - there are several EJBs within the same package deployed on a WLS server.
    - these beans have method names that are the same, for example create(), delete() etc.
    - using the EJB Service Adapter I have created 3 References, one for each of the 3 beans I need to invoke in a BPEL process.
    - each bean is imported into the project with their own *.wsdl *Ref.wsdl files.
    - each wsdl imports a namespace based on the java package name
    - now i have 3 wsdls, importing the same namespace and namespace conflicts arise.
    At this point I'm thinking, 'no problem, just change the namespaces manually'
    - whenever i try to change the namespace that JDev gives the Reference components I end up with the compilation error:
    Source port type for "BPELProcess" does not match target port type for "EJBRef"
    It seems that the namespace must be the same as the package name, even though I resolved all the references to the new namespaces and ensure they all match.
    The problem appears to be in the BPELProcess.componentType file.
    <reference name="HelloEJBRef" ui:wsdlLocation="HelloEJBRef.wsdl">
    <interface.wsdl interface="http://package.workspace.com/HelloEJB#wsdl.interface(HelloEJB)"/>

    Hello ,
    I am having Request Response Port in Orchestration View (Port Type), i have linked this with Receive Shape and Send Shape in orchestration and deployed this application.
    I have realised that my Port Type should be Type Modifier = Public
    insted of type Internal.
    But it is read only and not allowing me to change it now ????.
    One way to do this is create new port type assign it's Type modifier...
    Any Ideia how to do that other way  ?
    Thanks,

    Thanks and Regards, Nilesh Thakur.

    Thanks Boatseller for help ...
    As I already explained that this Port Type was already created (by one of my team member) and deployed.
    1) How many way we can create Port Type ?
    I know by right click on Port Surface and New Port or New Configure port ???
    what I mean is that not able to make changes in property window for
    Type Modifier.
    This port type is grad out and also All option in property are disabled.

  • ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: expected NUMBER got BINARY

    ORA-00932: inconsistent data types: expected NUMBER got BINARY
    Hi,
    Could anyone help in resolving my problem?
    I ‘m developing cmp beans in Jbuilder X,
    My database is Oracle 10g, running on Linux and Application server is Oracle10gAs. Running on Windows.
    I can deploy my Entity EJB’s OK and look then up using finder methods as long as I’ve created the data directly in the database using SQL*Plus for instance.
    In the database I have my primary keys defined as type NUMBER
    In my EJB the corresponding number fields get mapped as java.math.BigDecimal.
    which according to the Oracle JDBC specification is how they are mapped.
    Problem:
    When I try to create a new database entity through my EJB entity bean I get:-
    Error "ORA-00932: inconsistent datatypes: expected NUMBER got BINARY".
    The value of the number being used as the primary key in this example is 10.
    Eg:-
    BigDecimal pk = new BigDecimal(10);
    TestBean test = home.create(pk);
    The datatype in my EJB Deployment descriptor ejb-jar-xml <pri-key-class> is java.math.BigDecimal>
    The jdbc driver defined in my application.xml is
    oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriverand url="jdbc:oracle:thin..." in the connection.
    I’ve even tried mapping a datatype as described in the Oracle FAQ’s but this didn’t work.
    21.     I'm trying to deploy a CMP entity bean with a field type BigDecimal and the table creation fails with an error. How do I work around this?
    You have to perform the following steps prior to deploy your application.
    o     Define the mapping for java.math.BigDecimal in the database-schemas/oracle.xml as follows:
    <type-mapping type="java.math.BigDecimal" name="number(20,8)" />o     Use this schema in your data-source as follows:-
    <data-source

    Further clarification of my problem.
    Originally I said the error occurred when deploying EJB's
    Correction: I can deploy them OK on the application server However the Error message occurs when I try to create a new EJB entity, the only value required is the Primary key which I pass as type BidDecimal.
    If I create entries directly in the database my EJB findByPrimaryKey can find entities OK.
    But I cant create new ones through EJB.
    What realy baffels me is why I'm able to read data through the connection but not write.
    The datatype in my EJB Deployment descriptor ejb-jar-xml <pri-key-class> is java.math.BigDecimal>
    The jdbc driver defined in my application.xml is
    oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    and url="jdbc:oracle:thin..." in the connection.
