Blue screen while running.

While using my laptop I will get a blue screen. It comes out of nowhere and could be from 10 minutes to 30 minutes into using it

Just trying to add some information. Do not know if it will help but hopefully it will.  <script>// function Toggle(node) { if (!window.fullyLoaded) return; // Expand the branch? if (node.nextSibling.style.display == 'none') { // Change the sign from "+" to "-". var tBodyNode = node.childNodes[0]; var trNode = tBodyNode.childNodes[0]; var tdNode = trNode.childNodes[0]; var bNode = tdNode.childNodes[0]; var textNode = bNode.childNodes[0]; if (textNode.nodeType == 3 /* Node.TEXT_NODE */) { var s = textNode.data; if (s.length > 0 && s.charAt(0) == '+') { textNode.data = '-' + s.substring(1, s.length); } } // show the branch node.nextSibling.style.display = ''; } else // Collapse the branch { // Change the sign from "-" to "+". var tBodyNode = node.childNodes[0]; var trNode = tBodyNode.childNodes[0]; var tdNode = trNode.childNodes[0]; var bNode = tdNode.childNodes[0]; var textNode = bNode.childNodes[0]; if (textNode.nodeType == 3 /* Node.TEXT_NODE */) { var s = textNode.data; if (s.length > 0 && s.charAt(0) == '-') { textNode.data = '+' + s.substring(1, s.length); } } // hide the branch node.nextSibling.style.display = 'none'; } } // Toggle "System" element by default so that it's default status is to hide its children function ToggleSystemElement() { var body = document.getElementById("body"); var anchor = body.getElementsByTagName("table")[0]; Toggle(anchor); } // If binary data is present in event XML, show it in friendly form. function ProcessBinaryData(binaryString, binaryDataCaption, wordsFormatString, bytesFormatString, normalFont, fixedWidthFont) { var bodyNode = document.getElementById("body"); // Add a <hr> at the end of the HTML body. bodyNode.appendChild(document.createElement("hr")); // This paragraph (p element) is the "Binary data&colon;" literal string. var p = document.createElement("p"); p.style.fontFamily = normalFont; var b = document.createElement("b"); b.appendChild(document.createTextNode(binaryDataCaption)); p.appendChild(b); p.appendChild(document.createElement("br")); bodyNode.appendChild(p); // // Show binary data in Words format. // p = document.createElement("p"); p.style.fontFamily = normalFont; p.appendChild(document.createTextNode(wordsFormatString)); bodyNode.appendChild(p); // Must use fixed-width font for binary data. p = document.createElement("p"); p.style.fontFamily = fixedWidthFont; var i = 0; var j = 0; var s, tempS; var translatedString; var charCode; var byte1, byte2; // Each character in binaryString is a hex (16-based) representation of // 4 binary bits.   • Computer always crash (blue screen) while running photomerge (Photoshop CS6)

Doing a photomerge of 6 different pictures, I have a systemic blue screen crash using Photoshop CS6 extended.
There is a win32k.sys error message (page fault in non paged aread).
I tried my photomerge 5 times (once with only 2 pictures) and it always crashed!!!
    I have 32 Gb RAM and a i7 3960-X CPU + a GeForce 690 GPU.
Have you heard of such a problem?
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards,
    Alexandre DOLIQUE.

    Hi,
Thank you both Alec and Chris.
My OS is windows 7 64 bits with SP1. I ran windows update to make sure I had everything up to date. I ran an update of my graphic card driver (Nvidia).
I am still having the problem.
The weird part is: I am also having a BSOD while trying to photomerge with Photoshop CS5.1 (included in Master Collection C5.5).
I have ran applications using memory and CPU intensively (DxO treating a series of RAW) and had no BSOD.
I would agree with you Chris if I was having BSOD runing other applications or even Photoshop during another treatment than photomerge.
The fact that I am always having BSOD while runing photomerge is puzzling to the least.
I believe there were Windows 7 updated executed since I last had photomerge working.
The only thing I know now, is that photomerge is not working anymore. Everytime I tried, I had a BSOD.
    Regards,
    Alexandre DOLIQUE.

  • Can anyone help me with blue screen while updating to ios8?

help me with blue screen while updating to io8.2

I don't have a 4G device, but I thought you can use mobile safari, the safari on the iPad, on 4G.
You could also try looking for a third party app. The official facebook app has been non to barely functional for years. I use mobile safari on my iPad although I do have a couple  of apps I've used upon occasion.

    You needs this driver http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70477
when installing Windows XP you will see probmt to press F6 to add 3rd party driver using floppy disk... yes that right a floppy disk only option!.
or you can add driver to Windows XP cd using Nlite program. www.nliteos.com
maybe the easies option is to change AHCI option from bios that you have already did.
i havent seen any performance issues if XP uses compatibility mode.

The problem was solved when using google chrome. however when i tried internet explorer the problem still persists. I made sure I have the latest version of explorer. This happens when i use youtube or andy video streaming in any web page.
    I appreciate your help

    HI @maha_diwan ,
Thank you for your inquiry, I will try my best to help you!
I grasp that when playing videos your computer crashes unless you are using Google Chrome.  You have updated the graphics drivers.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you ran the  HP Support Assistant  to aid with HP updates?
There is a bios update for your notebook.  If you have not done that update, I suggest contacting HP support for assistance as it does have a potential to cause damage.   Updating the BIOS

  • Blue Screen Crash Running Windows Update on Reboot

I installed Windows 7 and Boot Camp Support Software. Installation went smoothly and no problems. When I run Windows Update, it requires a system reboot; however, each time I boot into the Windows partition, I get the dreaded blue screen of death. Then on reboot, Windows runs startup repair and restores the last installation. I think the problem might be that I am installing too many updates at a single time but not sure if it's something to do with the Boot Camp partition. I deleted the Windows partition and reinstalled Boot Camp but the problem persists. Windows 7 works fine, but can't seem to install updates.

Did you get the Apple drivers installed off your OS X DVD?
Is that what you mean by "reinstalled Boot Camp" ?
Did you get Apple Software Update (in Windows of course) up to Boot Camp 3.2?
Try getting those installed before Windows updates more.
No need to 'delete' Windows partition, just do a custom clean format and install what you meant?
No need to deal with Boot Camp Assistant again, all that does is set aside and create a partition to begin with.

  • Blue screen while printing to PDF with Adobe

    Hi,
I'm using Adobe Acrobat to produce PDF files. A few days ago, all of the sudden, each time I try to create a PDF with the virtual printer, I get a "Blue Screen Of Death" reporting some problem on the win32k.sys file.
I'm using Windows Vista Professional 32 bits and Adobe Acrobat 9.
    Best regards.

Which version of AA9. There have been 7 updates or so. You might try a repair and then do any uninstalled updates (in order, they are not cummulative). The repair may resolve the issue or you may have run into some other bug that the updates might fix.

  • Mac gets blue screen while installing Windows 7 with bootcamp

I had a problem while trying to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on my MacBook mid-2010.  When i would create the partition using bootcamp assistant and my computer restarted into the install process, i would get a blue screen.  The blue screen would occur after my computer restarted and was completing the installation.  If I try to reboot the machine, it gives me an error "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error.  Windows installation cannot proceed.  To install Windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."  I first tried this on yosemite, but when it was not working I tried wiping the hard drive and i installed mavericks.  I got the same problem, so it does not have to do with the OS.  I have installed Windows 7 32-bit on this computer before.  But i still get the same error with 32-bit also.  I know that this computer supports windows 7 and 64-bit too.  If anyone know why this might be happening and how i can fix it, please let me know.  Thank you.

It is good to see that it is indeed a USB2.
The support software on the USB is used in the Pre-boot environment setup and provides drivers for Apple specific hardware, GPU, BT, Mouse, etc. You can verify that by looking at the USB contents. The DVD contains generic drivers when hardware is not recognized as defaults to use. Apple does enough 'secret sauce' to make them different. The following does not explicitly state the USB2 need when using the DVD Installer and mentions W8 (not W7).
From Boot Camp: Creating an ISO image from a Windows installation DVD - Apple Support
Insert a blank USB 2 flash drive that is a least 16GB in size into a USB port on the computer. Boot Camp Assistant uses this drive to store the Windows 8 install media and support drivers during installation of Windows.
Note: This flash drive needs to be formatted for the FAT32 file system and must use the Master Boot Record partitioning scheme. Use Disk Utility to check the format of the flash drive before proceeding, and partition or erase the flash drive if necessary.
I suspect the GPU is not getting the correct driver and the Installer fails. The Generic VGA should work. From the OS X side, can you see files in your BC volume? If yes, can you look for logs in the BC volume at the following locations.
    ./Windows/Inf/setupapi.dev.log
    ./Windows/Inf/setupapi.offline.log
    ./Windows/Inf/setupapi.setup.log
    ./Windows/Logs/SetupCleanupTask/setupact.log

  • Blue screen while installing Boot Camp support software in Win7 Ultimate x64

2012 macbook pro with OSX Mavericks. Installing Win7 ultimate x64 using boot camp assistant and a USB drive went flawlessly. Then I downloaded and installed the boot camp support software from support.apple.com/kb/DL1638
Running setup.exe bluescreens my computer and makes the windows partition unbootable after that, even in safe mode. I performed a system restore to roll back the boot camp software and booted again, and checked the log file. It pointed to an intel USB driver. I then deleted IntelxHCI from the Drivers/Intel folder, ran setup.exe again, and everything installed perfectly.
My question is: what is the Intel usb 3 extensible host controller, why is it included in the support software, and why does it immediately brick my Windows partition?

I have re-installed Windows 7 about 20 times already, I am experiencing the same problem as you are. The issue must be some kind of driver being installed by Boot Camp. When I leave my fresh Windows 7 install with no Boot Camp, the error or blue screen never occurs. This is weird.
    Help please Apple...

  • Blue Screen while loading desktop

    HP Pavillion Series P7-1003w
    Windows 7 Home Premium
About 2 days ago I've started having an issue with my comp (HP Desktop, 8gb Ram, x4 Processor, ATI Video Card), It started when I noticed my Windows Firewall had shut down and would not restart, immediately I assumed a virus/rootkit had sneaked past my Avast! Anti-virus. So I began running scans. My first scan (Full system scan) came back with 38 infected files inside windows temp files folder, all were malware except for 2 Trojan, Avast immediately deleted these files and I restarted comp to see if I could restart the firewall.
Now about 10 seconds after loading the desktop I get the BSOD. I restarted and ran in safe mode to see if I could asses the issue but nothing worked, I tried running memory diagnostics, system repair (No recovery points found), startup repair, and even ran a CHKDSK but everything came back as fine. So I did a full system restore twice using HP's Built in partition recovery. The computer was fine immediately after restore, but I noticed every time I tried to right-click on something explorer would crash and then restart. The only thing I can think of is a bad video card, but I'd like confirmation/Other options before I throw money at a new one.

    Product:   768_1
Now its gotten to the point it wont even load Safe mode, the boot screen comes up but after a few seconds a small line of corruption appears at the top. I need a quick solution to this please, this computer needs to be running at 100% again before 6/11/13.
Update: I just plugged in mouse, keyboard, and monitor to see if I could pull the product ID from the system properties before it crashed, it worked fine so I zipped up the dump file and plugged in the Ethernet to try and post a link to it here, but as soon as it became connected to the internet it blue screened again, I'm thinking the windows updater is to blame, even though its disabled.

     Hello Erose90,
I see you’re stating your computer blue screens,is that correct? I will be happy to help you.
I would like you to try and create a diagnostic disk, this disk can be run outside of the operating system giving the results more clarity.
This link will show you how to create the disk and run the disk once it has finished. When you open the link scroll down to the sectioned headed “Creating the HP Vision Diagnostic Media”, from there follow the information it provides.
Try to only have this program opened and running so it will lessen the chance of a possible blue screen during the process.
Please respond back at your earliest convenience.
    Thanks

  • Blue screen while n100 XP Bios-Update

    Hello and good night!
My Topic says nearly everything. I just came back from an friend i should install XP prof over a crashed Vista. I had deleted both partitions and installed XP Prof on one new overall partition. After a good install I installed all the driver, but USB killed my nervous. I googled and saw the new bios. After downloading i tried the automatic detect. I should use Realtek-bios. So I used it. The program run, backuped and got to the last point the new flash. 2 green dots and the blue kernel crash and reebot.
So my question, what did I wrong? How can i patch and kick this bad usb-bug?

Ähm thx for your ähm helping answer. BUT:
I downloaded the Update, started the automatic. I took the automatic choice and startet the patch. After that it worked until the blue-screen and reboot.
I can't see the point where acted wrong or took the worng choice... I worked like the program said...And I'm sure that I want to patch the USB-Bug in the old bios...

  • Blue screen while session iniciates

hi, i got a problem with my macbook.
when i turn on my mac is starts as normal, but when apple logo appears with little circle running on, a blue screen appears for four minutes and then appears the desk as normal. My mac is completly new and this is the first time that happens this. On past sessions never happen this. Can u help me?
    thanks

Some one else may correct me, since I am a new user too, but the blue screen is a normal part of start-up, all Macs with OSX do this; however, four minutes seems like too much time to start up. My blue screen lasts five or ten seconds, then changes in shade a little, then the desk top appears. All this takes only about a minute at the most. Good Luck!
