BO CR online support URL now useless

Hi,
I purchased a single-incident support case, and was just getting started with it - an ingineer working on it - and now the URL to access the support site is being re-directed to a new page telling me that BO is now a SAP company. That's great for you, but I'm left without any support. I tried the telephone number, but that now says that you are a SAP company and if I want support I can go to a web page which tells me... you've guessed it, you are now a SAP company. Please can someone tell me how to actually contact tech support - either telephone number or online, as I'm stuck, and very frustrated.

Hi Fritz,
I followed the link you gave, and sent the email with all the information as requested. Then it came back as a delivery failure with the message:
Could not deliver message to the following recipient(s):
Failed Recipient: sap_bosapdata  at sap.com
Reason: Remote host said: 550 5.7.1  sap_bosapdata  at sap.com ... sap.com address not supported
Can you please follow up on this and tell me how to get in touch and get the support that I've paid for?

    I think that was meant as a smart comment because no one seems to like the Jive forums here with their terrible indexing.  Personally I use Invision Power Board, but I'm glad you have a forum running.  That was the only negative I ever saw with PVII (I despise newsreaders).

    I talked with one of the live chat people and they couldn't even link me to the latest firmware for this thing. "Not supported...buzz off" was pretty much what I was told to do.
    I have this thing working with Windows 8.1 using the manual method (LPR1, etc) and I can print , but I can't scan. Do I need to add another device In Windows so my all in one printer will also scan documents>?

    Hi Blahkin, was the all-in-one printer working fine before? What is the make and model of that device? What changes were made on the printer, the WPSM54G print server, and the computer prior to this happening? There's a possibility that some settings on the printer may have disabled the scanning feature. Keep in touch.

    Incident 1. Since many months attempts to download new and updated APPs produced a response – Apple ID Disabled. I had no time to consult an APPLE Store due to work in distant lands. When I finally visited yesterday I was told that as my IPAD has been reported as stolen, and APPLE in its wisdom had blocked its usage! I am not sure how they became so misinformed and nobody every advised me while with a few swift moves APPLE could have located me by email address or SKYPE.
    Incident 2. Once the above anomaly had been fixed I tried to down load a newspaper and diligently input my address, credit card number and personal data. Repeatedly I was advised that my Credit Card was invalid and my postal code was incorrect! Really!
    I was left to guess that having moved from UK to the US I should have advised APPLE! Not being told of this requirement brought about a second visit to APPLE Store in the same day to waste both mine and their time with a routine anomaly. How parochial in the context of a globalized world!
    In each case I tried to resolve the issues using online access to a help line and by calling by phone at the numbers on the APPLE Website. In each of four separate occasions I diligently went through the routine and  ended up with a message that thanked me for contacting Apple followed by a polite ‘Good Bye’!
    In desperation I went to an Apple Store for the second time in a day as it is close to where I live when I am not working. On both occasions I was courteously attended to by Apple Staff.
    However, my work is usually far away from the US and it is generally many thousands of miles to the nearest Apple Store therefore online help is viewed as imperative if one is to resolve issues away from home.
    Why can Apple not provide a clearly marked EMAIL address and Telephone number at a Help Desk with real people to respond to requests for help? It would cost nothing in relative terms and might restore my high level of anti-APPLE sentiment that these two recent events have provoked.

    If that is your question, the answer is at the bottom right of this web page. It is clearly marked "Contact Us" and is the best way, really the only way, to contact Apple.
    If there were a publicly posted email address for concerns such as yours, it would be quickly filled with spam in about three minutes, thereby becoming instantly useless to you and everyone else. Apple would need to change it hourly, if not more often. That is also the reason you ought not to post your name, location, and what appears to be your iPad's serial number on this publicly viewable website.
    Apple does not respond here and I can find no other questions for your fellow Apple users to answer.

    Word Processing documents can be opened directly in Pages 4 (AppleWorks 6 only) but this is no longer available from Apple - the new Pages 5 (Mavericks required) does not open AppleWorks documents. (The older version is contained in the iWork '09 box set which may still be available from Amazon and other independent retailers.) Panergy Software's docXConverter v3.2 ($19.95) can convert Appleworks 5 and 6 Word Processing documents to RTF (though it has been reported that it can only handle documents which contain only text, not those which include images or frames). The latest version of the free LibreOffice has announced that it can open AppleWorks 6 Word Processing documents and an ability to open ClarisWorks documents has been reported: it does appear to be able to handle at least some embedded images.

    Nothing will open Database documents. You would need to export the data as ASCII and import it into another database program; you will lose your formatting and calculations will come over as the result, not the calculation.

    The iOS 6.01 killed the Apple SD reader on my IPad 3 (purchased new in May). What gives Apple? Support phone call useless. iOS installed today November 3 and dialog box came up say device no longer supported.
    It's an Apple SD card reader (purchased the same week in Syracuse,NY) and it worked fine yesterday after part one of a Day of the Dead shoot in central Mexico.
    As a professional journalist I traveled with the iPad and a Nikon D80 and lenses and flash. My MacBook would be addded weight so this application (the iPad) fits the bill.
    I was in Paris for a month in October and shot thousands of photos. Often did not have wireless and used the iPad as a photo safe to store the photos.
    Back in the Paris apartment the Photostream worked great.
    So what gives Apple...I upgrade my Ipad 1 for an Ipad 3 and now it's useless in this application and the new iOS. Was there any warning or information that this would happen? Or did you test the iOs on the iPad 4? Afterall the iPad 3 is, what 5 months old?
    But, and a big BUT Apple, I can buy an iPad 4 and use the thunderbolt SD card reader. Is this how you become a world class company???
    Our next Apple purchase is not going to be that...was going to be an Ipad mini for my wife to use on the road in her job. She travels giving anesthesia.
    We are an Apple family....My first Apple was an Apple II and had a Newtown (that still works).
    And we now have an iPhone, 2 MacBookPros, 2 Apple TVs.
    My other computer is an old PC that works with my professional weather station and also interfaces with my ham radio. While I dislike the stability of Windows the system allows me to tinker and work with other devices.
    How can Apple not recognize that folks do want to do thing the way they have been and also abandon DVD/CD drives from computers yet at the same time Apple will sell you its own DVD/CD drive.
    I have always loved my early AppleII but had to abandon it for writing and editing  (early photo editing and design was still a dream then) because most companies "did not support Apple," I was told by corporate IT people. So a love hate period of using PCs.
    Now Apple does not support users but it will sell us the latest gadget. This is stupid marketing and wrong consumption by America.
    I don't want to trust the Cloud for everything and want the ability to edit and stroe photos with ease and not always reply on wi-fi.
    Maybe I should shell out $69 for tech support.

    first of all you are not addressing apple in these forums. We are all just users like you trying to help eachother out. I can almost guarantee they didn't pull the support for the card reader from ipad 3. As i have a nikon camera and d5000 and a card reader running on ipad 3 and i just did a import from the sd card after I read your comments. It could be a bug within your ipad. Try restarting the ipad, if you have everything back up to icloud do a full reset then restore from icloud.
    Second, going off on a tangent about apple and their business practices, in support forums which are user based, really wont get you much help. We come here to help people like you and there are way to many folks who go out venting and we all heard it before and kinda getting bit tired off it.
    Third, before doing proper diagnostics, rebooting, restoring ipad, using different SD card, try using usb connector directy to the camera, don't assume that apple pulled the plug on it. It could be a bug that slipped through testing however I highly doubt it since its working for me.
    So try rebooting, restoring ipad from icloud (if you have back up), try inserting a different SD card. Since you are photographer you must have more then one. Try using the other connector that comes with camera kit.

    Has anybody successfully logged an online support request for an itunes card that hasn't been activated properly? I tried the camera to read it but still no good. Get the error about it not being activated properly so i tried to log an online support ticket twice on two seperate days but get another error saying sorry we can't process this request now try later. Very frustrated, my son has a $20 voucher from Christmas he can' t use.

    The newest version of CS2 is CS5. And it was made very clear that these applications would not run in Lion. Not only by Apple, but on all sorts of communities and websites. It has been a long time coming - PowerPC apps were outdated six years ago. Lion does not support Rosetta, and therefore not PPC apps.
    you have to options. Go back to Snow Leopard or upgrade your software. (MS Office 2004 and older will not run either).

    So I went to upgrade my phone today, and i asked if i could add some of my upgrade to the bill, just to split up the payments based upon pay..I figured as being a customer with verizon for years there would be a little trust. So I asked online support yesterday and they said "Oh they can do this at store level with no problem", then today when i went to do it, I was told "Oh verizon is actually phasing this out because of issues we have had with others", I cant hold the sale person responsible, cause he called his manager and asked his manager and thats what the manager told him.
    I almost left right then and there.. not cause I didn't have the money but because I felt like even as a loyal verizon customer that the trust isnt there. It was tempting to just finish my old contract and just switching to ATT or something.
    I had no issues in the past doing this and now all the sudden its an issue. I wish online support and stores were on the same page. I wish loyal customers got loyal customer treatment. I would totally understand if i havent been with verizon for years,
    I' m just ranting cause it really feels crappy to feel like the trust isnt there between customer and business.  if it wasn't for hte fact that I was ready to throw my iphone into a wall, I probably woulda and shoulda switched carriers....

  • Why is online support unavailable for the iPad Air?

    I tried to contact support today because of a probem I experienced with iTunes U after updating to IOS 7.0.4 but, on entering my serial number I get a message saying that online support is not available for this product.
    The iPad air has been out for two weeks now, is it normal for support to be unavailable this late after release?
    Surely there must be another option other than driving to an apple store to ask the question in person???

    I also have this problem.  Fortunately there was still some Apple Care available on our iPad 3, so I used that serial number to get through.  Once connected I told them what appeared when I tried to use the iPad Air serial number ( same message you got).  They checked to see if my iPad Air's serial number was registered and it was and showing that I have Apple care on it.  I really thought this would be resolved by now....it is 2 weeks.  We have paid lots of money for this service!

  • XP sees iPod,  iTunes does not, exhuasted online support , issue persists

    My XP Pro sees my ipod fine. But iTunes fails to see the ipod when connected. The latest iPod Updater also fails to mount ipod after thinking for several full minutes. Interestingly, Task Monitor shows Updater application doing something very briefly after my Ipod is connected.)
    Many things have been tried based on reading apples on-line tech support: removing and re-installing both itunes and the updater software; using windows Install clean up the registery; repeatedly resetting the ipod & restarting the computer; using msconfig to disable all other services to avoid conflicts; double checking my mother board usb jumpers to insure my USB ports are 5V are things i have tried.
    My ipod was labeling itself with the letter "C", and I changed that to "B" and restarted the computer, but there is no change in behavior -still XP sees the ipod but the apple software does not.
    I verified my ipod and its USB cable work using another computer.
    SO I am at the end of ideas?
    If anyone conquered this issue using something I have not tried I would consider it a generous christmas gift if youd share your solution.
    Otherwise I am about to buy a otherwise un-need USB card to add to my machine in the desperate belief that the ipod is really only compatible with some windows based USB ports, but not all. (MY USB ports are integrated on a Biostar TForce 6100-939 motherboard; is anyone using one of those without issue with a 5th genreration iPod?)

    I also exhausted the online support and spent over an hour with a live support person, who just ran me through the online support steps (which I'd already done 3 times myself) then told me "that's all we've got".
    I feel really bad because this was a present for our 14 year old and he has only been able to "play" with the calendar & date function for 2 days now.
    I have a question about your solution: do you mean that when the ipod software installer asks where to store the ipod folder, I should enter some other location letter? My system & programs are stored on a drive named "F" and that's where the Ipod installer suggests to install the software. Here's where I'm not sure what you mean:

    is "I" some brand new drive designation? After installation of the software & connecting to the port, my ipod shows up on the usb port and calls itself "IPOD" Drive C. Should I just rename it to "IPOD" Drive I?

  • ITunes Store Not Loading with no error message and have gone through all online support procedures

    Hi I am trying to conect to the iTunes store here in NJ via my laptop and my school's Wifi network, but nothing ever happens...
    I click on the iTunes store button and it comes up with the loading bar at the top of the screen where the song time marker would be, but nothing ever happens. It just loads and loads and loads, I don't even get an error message...
    I have followed all the iTunes online support procedures for trying to reslove the issue including: reinstalling iTunes, wiping the ipconfig cache from the run dialogue box, adding iTunes to the firewall "allow" list, and even running the iTunes diagnostic for store connectivity. The diagnostic comes back saying that everything is fine but that iTunes cannot make a secure connection to the store, when I try to follow the help button from the diagnostic, iTunes tells me that it cannot connect to the internet and to make sure that my computer has all network cables plugged in etc. but obviously that is not the issue, or I wouldn't be able to be online to post this message...
    I know that it has nothing to do with my campus' network, because I am able to view the iTunes store via my iPhone 3GS on the same network.
    I am using a Dell Precision M6300 with an intel Centrino Duo and Windows XP service pack 3.

    With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
    Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

    Go to http://appleid.apple.com to manage your iCloud ID and check to see if your @me.com address is associated with your ID.  If it isn't you'll have to contact iCloud support to see if it is still active, and if so, how to associate it with your account.

    If so, what happens when you try to download? Is it a case of nothing happens? If so, take a look at the suggestions under 'Stalled Download' in this link:

    Also, some usrs have found that logging out of the Mac App Store and then back in again and starting over has kick-started the download. It seems that the 5+gb download can take a long time to give any feedback as to what's happening.
