Bought an iPod Touch today but no new apps came with it

Bought an 8GB iPod Touch today from a Retail Store, it didn't come with the new apps, shouldn't I get them since I bought it today? I registered it today but Itunes says I need to purchase the new apps.

You could email Apple and see if you can get the apps. I think in Steve's keynote address he said they were shipping today with the apps, but he didn't say much about the units that are in stores already. Good luck trying to get the apps for free, but don't hold your breath. You could always try and return the unit from the place of purchase when they receive the ones with the new applications, or just pay the $20 if you really want them.

If buying an ipod touch now will the new apps be on it already?

so i am looking at getting an ipod touch. i live in new zealand so iphone is not an option. but i am a little confused if the new apps in 1.1.3 will be on the new ipod touch's. Anyone able to confirm that the new apps will be included in new ipod touch's moving forwards?

I would tend to say that you need to talk to your retailer when you go to buy the itouch as they should know if the new apps are on the unit or not. (if they don't know then assume they aren't on the touch)
Since you live in a country that doesn't have an Itunes store or a way that you can access content on itunes if the itouch doesn't come with the apps there will be no way for you to get them, Oh and I would tend to think that your looking at a month or more before new units with the apps are shipped worldwide, who knows it could be six months or more.
There are tons of other people around the world that bought the itouch and now because they have no way to create an account with itunes (which is the way the apps get on if they don't come from a factory unit) then they are SOL.
From what I can see this whole thing is one big mess and the only winners are going to be the new customers that order from the apple store.

Well you see, I just got this new Ipod 5G that I really wanted but something went wrong when I tried to sync it with Itunes. It said that the ipod needed 10.7 Itunes but clearly I had not so late version 10.6.3. And I can't update my itunes because it is at the point where it can not update for now so I don't know when it will ever update to 10.7 but right now I am stuck on 10.6.3. And if I can't get it to update how will I be able to sync my music into this new ipod, what should I do?

You need to buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD or use a combination of these instructions and iTunes Match to put content onto the iPod touch.

Trying to transfer data to my new Macbook Pro? My current Pro has Lion from last week, but my new Pro came with Snow Leopard. When I connected firewire it said I can't transfer the data because of the OS conflict, what can I do? I downloaded Lion?

We need a little more detail to be really helpful.
Did you download and install Lion on the new MB Pro?
If you didn't that is probably the problem you can migrate from older to newer OSes but not the reverse, so if the new MB Pro is still on 10.6 that's likely the problem.
If you downlaod Lion on the new Pro, you might want to stop the install that starts a automatically and follow these instructions to make a bootable DVD.
If Lion is sucessfully installed on both machines then I'm not sure at this point what the issue is.

Yes .Just add the songs to the iTunes library you use for the iPod touch and sync them.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.
