There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
1. Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows XP w/Service Pak2, Vista, or Windows 7. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
2. Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
3. VM Fusionand Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
4. CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
5. VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system.

Except for Crossover and a couple of similar alternatives like DarWine you must have a valid installer disc for Windows. You must also have an internal optical drive for installing Windows. The battery died so I had it replaced. Now it stops playing music (It was doing this before with the old battery when plugged into power cable)... it won't even make it through a whole track. I have tried turning off and on, turned off autolock and restored several times to 3.1.3 with no apps, just music but the problem persists.
Any help is much appreciated.Thank you for the speedy reply! I suspected it to be a hardware fault but found a lot of people online had experienced the same problem. What should I do? Obviously it is well out of warranty and the battery is literally brand new. Seems a sad waste if it cannot be repaired. I've yet to find a definitive answer or what to do, be it contact Apple etc....

My iPod touch 4th gen. Won't charge with a enercell charger that I've used since December. It will only charge with the apple USB cord that came with it. And even the takes it about 6 sec. To realize its charging. Help me fix this?
Yes, I've been using it for months. And I can charge other devices with it. (my iPhone) but something weird just happened..... I kept on pluging it in the iPod and sometimes it would start to chàrge then sometimes it won't charge. Charges every time with the iPhone though.

I think in Steve's keynote address he said they were shipping today with the apps, but he didn't say much about the units that are in stores already. Good luck trying to get the apps for free, but don't hold your breath. You could always try and return the unit from the place of purchase when they receive the ones with the new applications, or just pay the $20 if you really want them.

I am running a Ipod Nano think it's 3rd or 4th generation, when I had windows seven the ipod would be syncing fine with my iTunes, not that windows has updated windows to windows eight, I am now experiencing problems with my ipod syncing to my iTunes. It recognises the ipod but will not allow me to access it or change the music on it. I have followed all the More Info steps from the box that appears on my iTunes, I now am at a loss as to how it will ever work again, so I am stuck with the music on my ipod until I can change it. Hi, my phone was stolen a few days ago and just a few days ago the phone was online and it automatically locked itself since I've put it under lost mode and the thief probably switched off the phone immediately so that I cant locate it. The only way to locate/disable/erase any lost/stolen iPhone/iPod Touch is through Find My Phone or a similar app. However, this requires that Find My Phone be setup/activated, on your phone, before it was lost/stolen. You would then login at iCloud.com & try to locate it. This requires the phone be turned on & have an Internet connection. There is no other way to locate a lost/stolen iPhone. Apple can't/won't help you, nor will your carrier. Report the loss to the Police, your carrier & Insurance company. Change all of your passwords.
If your carrier offers Blacklisting & they Blacklist the phone, it will be unusable as a phone.
If locked with a passcode, and running iOS 7.0, then phone cannot be activated or the passcode removed without knowing your Apple iD/Password. It will be nothing but a useless paperweight.
If not running iOS 7.0, the phone can be forced into recovery mode & restored. -

This is a standard issue with iPod Touch 4th Gen so nothing to do with your iPod Specifically :-).
If it says 100% when it's plugged in but the you unplug it and it goes to a number in the 90s then it is just a standard ipod touch 4 issue. :-)
