BPC v 5 client issue

My company recently installed a new BPC v 5 server. I installed the clients on 4 computers so far without any issues. One of the computers can no longer connect to the server at all. There have been no changes to the server and no changes to the computer either. Below is all of the troubleshooting I have done to date. Please let me know if I missed something or if you have any suggestions. Thank you
1.) Re-installed the client on the desktop computer, still can't connect to BPC server
2.) Had user log in on separate computer to see if there is a problem with the domain account. User can log in fine on separate computer to BPC.
3.) I logged in on users computer and I could connect with my profile on their computer.
4.) Since the user can't connect to the BPC server, I can't run the diagnostics to troubleshoot the problem. Is there a way to manually run the diagnostics, even if you can't connect to the server?
Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Here is the error message my user gets when trying to connect to the http://bpc-01/osoft. Like I mentioned previously, everyone else can connect to the server fine. I am able to ping the server as well. I can log in on this computer with my username and password fine as well. It is only a problem when this user logs in with his credentials on his computer. This user can log in with his credentials on others computers without a problem. Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks

    We are trying to install the patch SP07 , upgrading from SP04.
    have u done a successfull patch with SP06 ?
    One suggestion for ur problem, if u have not done the upgrade Patch by Patch i.e SP03,SP04,SP05,SP06,SP07 i mean if not done cumulatively this could occur
    and donot ignore any prior warning or error messages that appear to continue. SAP has already asked to share the errors if any during the upgradation procedures

  • SAP BPC 7.5 Client, Silent install but with progress bar, can it be done?

    Hi All,
    I need to uninstall the BPC 7 Client and then deploy 7.5 to around 250 users accross the country.
    We have SCCM (SMS) in place so will be using that.
    I have the uninstall of 7 sorted and I have the response file etc sorted for the silent install of 7.5 and the install runs, silently, no issue.
    Is there a way though that one can "turn on" the progress bar during the install? So that users dont shutdown or disconnect in the 15min it takes the install to run.
    By way of example, in the SAP Business objects enterprise client on can configure the Silent install so that although it never prompts the user for a reponse there is a progress bar that runs, indicating that there is an install in progress.

    No worries, I am using a pop up countdown so the users have some idea on progress. Would love to know why the install runs for over 15min.
    In the above case the uninstall was easy as we had deployed using MS AppV so it was just a case of deleting the advert in SCCM and the application was pulled from the users desktops.
    For 7.5 I am using a vbscript with following to uninstall:
    The install string pulled from the clients registry uninstall folder:
    RunCommand Chr(34) & "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{EC8753EF-EE78-48B5-A4D0-FBBD237B5D53}\setup.exe" & Chr(34) & " -runfromtemp -l0x0009UNINSTALL -removeonly"
    We create a custom link, so this deletes it.
    DeleteFile "c:\Users\Public\Desktop\SAP BPC 7.5.lnk"
    You should be able to create something similar for 7.0 & 7.1

  • BPC for NW Client SP08 Problem - Runtime Error

    Hello,
    I'm having issues after the installation process. When I try to execute the Client, the software is throwing me the following error:
    "Runtime Error - It is not possible to open the registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OUTLOOKSOFT\50\CLIENT\SUPPORTLANGUAGE""
    The user has full administration rights, Office 2007, windows 7 and we are in SAP BPC for SAP Netweaver SP08.
    Any ideas?

    I am assuming you are on BPC 7.5.
    This issue has been identified on BPC 7.5 SP07 and SP08.
    You may refer to KBA 1596543 for further info.
    Here is how to correct this issue in BPC 7.5 NW SP8:
    1 - Create this folder structure:
    "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\SAP BusinessObjects\Planning and Consolidation"
    2 - Run the installation

  • BPC 7.0 BPC Administration Installation - Authorisation Issue

    I have installed BPC 7.0 on our Windows 2003 server, I have installed the BPC Administration and BPC Client on a Windows XP machine all are working well.
    My problem is when I try the same on Windows Vista Business, I have Domain Administrator rights and Local User Admin rights in Vista, however when I press the BPC Administration Installation button and try to install BPC Admin I get the following message  'You do not have authority to install the BPC for Office'.
    I have followed the exact same procedure as I used for Windows XP and now feel I am banging my head against a wall. Does anyone have any ideas on this issue?

    I have found the problem Vista Business does not have .net 1.1 (see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en ) and Service PAck 1 (see http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/thankyou.aspx?familyId=a8f5654f-088e-40b2-bbdb-a83353618b38&displayLang=en)
    Once installed the installer works fine.

  • BPC 7.5NW - Client SP6 - Unable to log in to clients on older versions

    I'm having a similar problem with 10.5.2 Leopard server and client -- no Tiger involved.
    I have the green light on the login screen and am able to log in as an OD administrator, but regular OD users are rejected with a login window shake. I never specified any home directories because they were auto-generated on machines locally when I logged in with the OD administrator.
    Apple phone support were able to duplicate my problem and had me do an Enterprise Data Capture. Apple engineers were also able to duplicate my problem. Here is some of what phone support emailed me:
    +I got a reply from engineering. They said they were able to duplicate the issue with a 10.5 up to a 10.5.2 client with no home directory specified. The only current workaround is to set up an automount location for home directories and specify a home location place for the users. The clients do not have to be bound to the server, they just need to have a home folder directory specified.+
    +Engineering is aware of the issue and are working on it. For now this is the only workaround we have.+
    I haven't had a chance to try this Apple workaround, but maybe it will help you.

  • SAP BPC 5.1 "Client Software center" icons missing

    Hi,
    I had installed newly SAP BPC 5.1 (Single server installation) and installed Administration client & Office client on the server. It was successfully installed and all functionality was working fine.
    Now I want to access this server from client machine (desktops). The desktops has Microsoft Office 2007 installed and trying to access SAP BPC using http://<servername>/osoft
    I am able to get the home page, but when I click on icon "Client Software Center", I am not getting any icons for installing Client software (Ex: BPC for Office Installation, BPC client Diagnostics or BPC for Administration Installation)
    Appreciate if someone can help me on this.

    That address should get you to the default landing page where you can access the software center.  Since this is a single server environment you should obvioulsy be addressing the web server.  I assume when you installed the client components on the server you were logged in as the service account that you installed the software with.  If you are connecting from your desktop using authentication, then you would be connecting with the ID and password that you login to your PC with.
    Have you gone through the BPC Administration security console and added your network ID to the application?  If not, then the system will know you are not a vaild system user and you would not be able to install the software.
    If you feel you have done this, then run the connection wizard and choose the option to connect with an alternate user ID and use the service account and verify you can access the software center.  If you can with the service account but not with your ID then it is a application security issue with how your network account is setup in the system.
    The other thing to check, when you say you cannot get the software center icon, are you getting the landing page and just not seeing it or are you getting a page error accessing the page?  If you are getting a page error and you did not use the default port to connect with then you would need to pass the port number through when you are addressing the server (e.g. http://servername/osoft:8080)

  • BPC 4.2 connectivity issues with server

    Hello All, I have a user that is experiencing connectivity issues with our server.  This appears to be at a client level and I would like to know how to correct it.  We are currently using BPC 4.2 (service pack 2).
    The problem occurred when they had IE8 uninstalled and installed IE6 today.  This morning he had no issues connecting to BPC w/ IE8, but lost that connection when IE6 was installed.  When working through the connection wizard, the following errors appear.
    Here are the pop-up error messages they are receiving:
    "The server name, or IP address (srvbpmarl01) is unreachable now.  Please check the following:
    1.  LAN connection or Internet connection is working properly.
    2.  Server name or IP address is invalid
    Detailed Error Message:  Internet connection is not available"
    "The system cannot download information from server:  SRVBPMARL01.
    There may be a network or security issue.
    Error message:  Your LAN connection or Internet connection is not working properly.
    Detailed error message:  Internet connection is not available."
    I can't help but feel this issue is a result of the IE 8/6 complications, but I do not know which actions to take next.

    I don't think the problem is related to IE.
    It seems to be more a problem of configuration of IE.
    I suggest to chec the follow:
    1. Please make sure you are not using any proxy into connection of IE. Ot if you neede then make sure you will add your server into exceptions of proxy.
    2. Try to connect with IE to server. use: http://nameofserver/osoft and also http://nameofserver.
    If you received errors in both cases then it seems it is a problem with installaion of IE.
    If you are able to connect and to display the default page for osoft then it must be a configuration problem.
    I suppose MSDTC or Pivot table services is not correct.Try to use slow connection when you connect to server not High connection.

  • BPC NW Office Clinet - Issue

    Hi,
    I am getting a weird messagewhen i login to office client.
    once i enter the logic credentials, id, pwd the excel client opens up.
    then when i click on dimensions from Current View or when i try to expand menu options from 'More' then a message appears saying ......"Preparing to Install" and then nothing happens, Excel client just hangs.
    this started all of a sudden. We are currently on SP08, Patch 02.
    any one faced this issue? Inputs / thoughts appreciated.

    If its working on other client systems, then the problem is there in the installation in your machine. I would suggest you to uninstall BPC once again. Delete the PC_NW folder from "my documents". Install VC++ from the below link:

    Make sure all the prerequisites are installed. Delete any relevant entries from the registry. I would advise you to reinstall MS office and then install BPC.

  • BPC 7.5NW Report Issues When Requesting Year To Date Data

    Dynamic reports built with 2 row expansions (Cost Ctr, Account) up to 3 columns (not expansions, set to different categories with excel formulas for variance calculations...Act vs. Bud for example) result in error messages (error retrieving data and another related error messge) when requesting YTD data vs. Periodic data.  The report runs fast and properly with Periodic measure.  When running with the YTD measure, attempts to reduce the report data volume by removing comparative categories and removing formatting (after ranges) still results in YTD data retrieve errors.
    Has anyone else had similar issues with BPC 7.5NW, SP9, and YTD data not pulling into reports?  What are the common causes for issues with YTD data retrieval?  Given the design by SAP of the BPC NW product and promotion of using BPC for both Periodic and YTD data, should I expect this report to work properly, meaning that I can get output with YTD data without long runtimes or errors that result in terminating the report?  Thank you.

  • Historical Reporting Client issues

    Cisco Unified CCX Administration  - HA Setup
    System version: 8.0.2.11002-3
    Supervisor PC:
    Windows XP SP3
    I've client facing some issue with HRC. He seems duplicate entries for few of the agents. He can recall those entries were earlier added/deleted from UCCX but still sees it in HRC.
    For example: Agent1 has two entries in HRC. AGENT1 and Agent1. The valid entry is Agent1 as configured in CUCM. The other entry (AGENT1) is not visible anywhere in CUCM or UCCX (Active/Inactive agents).
    There are 4 HRC users and they all see the duplicate agent entries.
    Another issue is that while running Agent summary or some other report for one of those duplicate agents, HRC throws following error. We've tried putting Agent1 and AGENT1 both entries in HRC but same issue. We know the Agent1 is taking regular calls and there should be reports for that agent. The error is:
    "There were no report data to view in the data range selected. Please select a different date/time and try again"
    Same agent, when trying to pull in the Agent Summary or some other report for March 2011, HRC throws the follwoing error:
      "A runtime error occurred while executing the query. Please check log for more details"
    I was suspecting Bug CSCtc79010 but as per the release notes for UCCX version client is running this bug is fixed in that version.
    Not sure if Bug CSCtj88620 is causing some issue. The problem description in the bug doesn't match exactly.
    I've already done the following but all the above mentioned issues remain there:
    1) I've verified the configuration in CUCM and UCCX. The Agent1 is only visible, there is no entry for AGENT1.
    2) Disabled/Enabled the UCCX DB Synchronization.
    3) Un-installed the HRC on a PC, deleted the HRC folder in Program files and re-installed by downloading the file from UCCX Server directly.
    FYI, all other agent reports are being run fine, not suspecting any admin rights/services issue in Supervisor PC.
    Would appreciate if anyone can give some more pointers what else can I check?

    HRC shows duplicate entries for few agents.
    There are duplicate agents, due to changes made ​​in its number or its name. (view image).
    There is some file in the server UCCX to save the information to agents after being modified or deleted?

    dear support community ,
    Am using windows 8.1 pro and cisco vpn client version 5.0.0.7.0410
    .my issue is that am able to connect to the VPN succesfully but  when connected i cant ping nodes inside the VPN
    whereas when i do the same test with a windows 7 and xp PCs , am able to ping and even remote desktop nodes.
    someone help please ??

    funniest thing is , after using my PC for two weeks and doing regular updates , am now able to ping and RDP to nodes
    inside the VPN..:-)

    I am using Cisco RV325-k9 router, I am configure "Easy vpn" in this router.
    Our some users use Windows 7 pro and others users use Windows 8.1 pro with Cisco vpn client version 5.0.070290.
    Issue is VPN client connected but not access remote machine and ping on windows 8.1 pro machines. but Working fine on windows 7 pro.
    But When i am using wifi through MTS wifi usb device then working fine.

    Cisco VPN clinet is not supported for the windows version 8.1. And also it is EOL announced. Might be the below mentioned work around might help you. Try this.

  • BPC 10.0 - Hierarchy Issue

    I am trying to load a hierarchy to BPC 10.0 and I am having issues.
    I am getting the error:
    "HIERARCHY DATA SOURCE:
    An exception with the type CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING clause Part - field access (offset = 4, length - 10) to a data object of the size 11 exceeds valid boundaries.

    We are going through an upgrade and this was one of my test cases to try. I have all the hierarchy information filled out on the set selection screen (no blanks).
    I also tried peeling back the number of levels, and the first 3 loaded successfully, it was the 4th and beyond that would cause this.
    In my conversion file I have the first four digits ignored from these values at the 4th + level but it is still considering it all over 10.
    One example is "CIGMC500000" so CIGM would be ignored but it is still not allowing it to load.
    The prior version we had with this never gave us this problem. Is there a way I can change the hierarchy allowance for the H1 length?

    Have you set a condition in your conversion file that the length only can be10 positions or lower?
    The example you gave is 11 positions long , even if you remove the 4 first positions the lenght from the BW side will come as 11. So what I think you have to do is to correct your conversion file sop it will allow length above 10 postions.
