BPC7.5NW Reporting - EVDRE: AfterRange adding double rows!

Hi,
I'm having a problem formatting a BPC 7.5 EVDRE report. I want put a blank row, with border top and bottom between my account expansions (GSV, Tonnes, Cases, other units etc)
This is what my report looks like:
ht[http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/1473/evafter.png|http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/1473/evafter.png]
The pink cells are the EVAFTER cells, for which there are only 1 row specified in the Expansion configuration area. I have made them pink so they are obvious where it is populating them.
What I want is to make it so that each section on the report (starting Cases, then Tonnes, then GSV) have borders on the bottom, as well as a completely white space as a gap (no fill, no vertical borders)
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Nick

I have found an OSS note for this issue:
[Note 1652302|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1652302] - AfterRange has been duplicated after click Refresh Workbook
The resolution is to upgrade to BPC 7.5 SP11. Unfortunately we don't do this now so I'm trying to get a fix pushed through.
Thanks,
Nick

    I am looking to add a sequential row number to some reports.Standard or interactive reports?
    >
    I can't use an ID number because they may not be in a specific order and for asthetics, I would like them to be numbered sequentially. I have a report that we run for different meetings and based on the meeting group is what we base the report on. For example, we have a meeting to review cases with our security team and we have a meeting to review incidents with our server admin team so I have a report based on the different teams we are meeting with and would just like to have a reference to go by. There could be 40 returned rows and if I use an ID they may not be in sequential numerical order so asking someone to look at a row could still be time consuming for them to find and view, if that makes sense.
    >
    That appears to require that the order must be fixed in the query like this:
    select owner, incidentname, incidentaction
    from mytable
    where resolvingteam = 'teamnamehere'
    order by ownerin order for people looking at different instances of the report to be seeing the rows in the same sequence? (The only way to guarantee the sort order in SQL is to <tt>ORDER BY...</tt>) It doesn't appear that there is any room for ambiguity here: you don't want someone instructed to deal with case #4 as a matter of priority when their #4 is numbered according to a different order...
    Do the reports use pagination or should all rows appear on one page? The "+...asking someone to look at a row could still be time consuming for them to find and view...+" comment argues against pagination as it may require one or more page changes to find a given row, but retrieving everything on one page may impact performance and lead to issues with scrolling.
    What version of APEX are you using?
    What theme and template (if it's standard reports) are used?
    What browser(s) and version(s) are used?
    (FWIW, permanent, immutable IDs do appear to be a better idea to eliminate any possible ambiguity.)

  • EVDRE AfterRange

    To Fellow BPC EVDRE Experts,
    I'm curently running BPC 5.1 SP03 and I have noticed a problem when using the EVDRE AfterRange.  I have a report with three Column expansions.  I have a formula in the 3rd expansion and noticed that when the report expands, the formula for the last member (right before the subtotal) is not referenced correctly it is off by two rows ..... Has anyone else had a similar occurence???   Any solutions ???
    Thanks Joe

    Joe,
    The fix for this issue is included in SP7, but before you run SP7 please first check this thread. You may want to go for SP6 first.

  • Using sub-report field in cross tab row #2

    I have a sub-report that pulls a product line description that need to be added to row #2 of a cross tab object. I am unable to drag and dropped and it does not appear in the list under the cross tabs expert.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Edmund,
    You cannot add fields from the Subreport to a Crosstab in the Main Report.
    If you're trying to add data for multiple rows, you would need to bring those values as part of the Main report's query.

  • Double rows retrieved in a simple select

    Hi guys, I got an issue that I'm not able to resolve, maybe because I'm exauxted ( I moved more than 600 million of rows today)...anyway:
    create table ff (tote varchar, whe date, period int, added date, cost int)
    insert into ff values ('A', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-06', 10),
    ('A', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-07', 10),
    ('B', '2014-01-09', 1, '2014-01-06', 30),
    ('B', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-07', 40)
    select tote, whe, period, MAX(added), cost
    from ff group by tote, whe, period, cost
    Having the code above I retrieve three rows.
    A 2014-01-08 1 2014-01-07 10
    B 2014-01-08 1 2014-01-07 40
    B 2014-01-09 1 2014-01-06 30
    That's why the cost is different in the tote B. It shouldn't be but with millions of rows you ran into a lot of these errors. The query above inside a procedure works fine ( Is one of the cte on cascade) but in one per cent of case doesn't works because
    retrieve the double rows ( as you can see works for the tote A but not for the tote B).
    Do you have any suggestion? I need to retrieve one rows per tote having the last added. I would like to avoid self join by the moment that the performance is slow...
    Thanks

    create table ff (tote varchar(10), whe date, period int, added date, cost int)
    insert into ff values ('A', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-06', 10),
    ('A', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-07', 10),
    ('B', '2014-01-09', 1, '2014-01-06', 30),
    ('B', '2014-01-08', 1, '2014-01-07', 40)
    ;with mycte as (select tote, whe, period, added , cost, row_number() Over(Partition by tote Order by added DESC) rn

  • Reports XI: Infoview behavior with Row Level Security

    Post Author: pwilliamsbssp
    CA Forum: General
    I have a report that is based off a business view that has project information with an additional table used to assign report users to certain clients (each project has a client).  A filter is used to assign the report user to the current ce username.The report is scheduled by the administrator login.  Each user goes to view their report on Infoview and is able to view data for only those clients specifically assigned.   This functionality seems to work fine - everyone views one instance of the report and InfoView assigns the row level security.However, I'm running into a problem viewing report histories when adding or changing client assignments.   The historical reports come up either blank or with erroneous information (such as the current week's information instead of the previous week's data saved with the instance of the report).   I have not found a logical link between the behavior of the historical reports and the specific users.  Some can see one week and not another while others have the reverse, regardless of their security assignments.Does anyone understand the behavior of view historical reports with row-level security?  I have no idea what data/metadata is saved with each report instance and when the row-level security is being read.  Is it read when viewing the report? or, is it specific to the structure of the data when the report was run?With other reports using the same row-level security model I'm able to view the historical reports although it has the client assignments at the time the report was created.  But, at least I'm able to view the reports.Any insight welcome.Patrick Williams

  • BI-IP - Bex Analyser - Adding colums / rows in workbooks

    Hi experts,
    In BI-IP (BW 7) in Bex Analyser we are facing the following problem:
    In the workbook if the user inserts a column nearby the input ready columns and inputs values at the time of transfer / save values, the system automatically copies these values to the next input column. The same if they insert rows and add values, at the time of transfer values the system deletes the row but adds the values in the above row.
    Is it how Bex Analyser (workbook) works or we are having a problem?

    Hi Maria,
    Please do not take it offesive.
    The issue you guys are encountering is due to lack of Training to Users.
    Planning is an intelligent activity. Planners are expected to do their home work before they embark on planning and layouts help capturing values in an orderly manner.
    It would be wonderful if you restrict the access to queries, else train the users on the impact and relevance.
    As you are aware adding a row is possible in WAD.

  • Report with more than 500 rows

    I have a report with more than 500 rows and i donot know the total number of records returned from sql query before hand. Is there any way to dynamically set the MAX ROW COUNT in the report - layout and pagination.
    Thanks a lot
    Sudha

    Hi All,
    The main problem for the scenario is that....Say you first create a SQL query based report with setting the row per page 15 .Now after the region is displayed if u go through the report attributes of the page and change the no. of row per page and apply changes the same will not going to reflect in the report display page.
    For ur case just select the no. of page u want to show while creating SQL Query based report region say 1000 and after creating the region go to the report attributes -> Layout and Pagination -> Max Row Count : 9000 (say).
    I have solved the problem after creating 700 rows and the all rows displayed in the page fine........If u have further issue plz revert back to me.
    Thats solve ur problem i think.....
    Thanks n Regards,

  • Adding/removing rows in TABLEVIEW

    Hi. I've got a TABLEVIEW in one of my subscreens. But when load itab into that tableview with 'LOOP AT...'  tableview appears but I can't add rows to it. I can't delete existing rows too. What should I add to my programm to have possibility of adding/removing rows from my tablewiev? Greetings. P.

    Hi Friend,
    To add/delete rows in your table view.
    You have to add/delete rows from internal table fro where you are displaying values.
    You have to write code in PAI..
    In LOOP ... ENDLOOP check the OK_CODE if it is ADD (for eg.) you have to add a blank row to internal table by just passing a blank work area.
    And if it is DELETE (for eg.) delete the row of that index (TABLEVIEW-CURRENT_LINE)...
    for these two excersies you have to readjust lines of tableview...after taking number of lines from internal table (DESCRIBE TABLE INT_EX LINES WS_LINES
    TABLEVIEW-LINES = WS_LINES) write this piece of code in Intialization.
    Hope it will solve the problem.

  • Adding a Row to Table, ComboBox as a  TableCellRenderer Problem !!

    Hell All:
    I have a JTable with one of the Cell as ComboBox. Initially I draw the JTable with Three Rows and the
    the ComboBox in the Second Column works fine. I see each comboBox has different Items. The ComboBox also has a Renderer (as I am customizing the Item's Text )
    Here is the snippet from my Code.
    ==========================
    // UIEditSubAllocation.ALT_ACCOUNT = 2;
    // Get the Viewindex.... to get the correct column
    int viewIndex = this.m_suballocTable.convertColumnIndexToView(UIEditSubAllocation.ALT_ACCOUNT);
    // get the Table Column...
    TableColumn altActColumn = this.m_suballocTable.getColumnModel().getColumn(UIEditSubAllocation.ALT_ACCOUNT);
    // Create Three ComboBox..
    JComboBox[] altActCell = new JComboBox[3];
    for (int i =0;i< 3;++i) // adding Three Rows of Table Data...
    String [] alternateAccounts = new String[4];
    for(int j = 0; j < alternateAccounts.length; j++) // Each Alternate Accounts i.e combobox has 4 items..
    alternateAccounts[0] = "Tom";
    alternateAccounts[0] = "Vic";
    alternateAccounts[0] = "Tracy";
    alternateAccounts[0] = "Andy";
    altActCell[i] = new AltAccountComboBox(alternateAccounts,this.m_suballocTable);
    } // End of adding Three Rows
    altActColumn.setCellRenderer(new AltAccountTableCellRenderer());
    if (viewIndex >= 0)
    ComboBoxEditor altActCellEditor = new ComboBoxEditor(altActCell);
    altActColumn.setCellEditor(altActCellEditor);
    The CombBoxEditor code is...
    ublic class ComboBoxEditor extends DefaultCellEditor
    * Constructs a ComboBoxEditor that uses an array of items of type object.
    * @param items - an array of items of type object
    public JComboBox[] m_comboBox;
    public ComboBoxEditor(JComboBox[] box)
    super(box[0]);
    m_comboBox = box;
    for(int i = 0; i < box.length; i++)
    m_comboBox.setEditable(false);
    public Component getTableCellEditorComponent(JTable table, Object value, boolean isSelected, int row, int column)
    if(row >= this.m_comboBox.length)
    return super.getTableCellEditorComponent(table, value, isSelected, row, column);
    return m_comboBox[row];
    But when I click a Button (in a Panel) which adds a Row (with No values for the ComboBox ).. to the Jtable .. The Row Gets added fine.. but the JComboBox comes with Values from the First Row's ComboBox. I Don't want any Values in the JComboBox for the new added Row. Can someone tell me
    how do I remove the Items from the ComboBox.
    I will really appreciate for any help...
    Thanks

    Hi ,
    as per my opinion one approach would be that ,
    you create a custom table region same as standard one using Jdeveloper and create other required fields also using jeveloper ,and then put this region in extend property of existing standard table region .
    thanks

  • Reports region only shows 15 rows

    I have a strange problem with a reports region. The region runs a simple SQL select against a table. My table has 18 rows but the report region only displays 15 rows.
    I ran the SQL directly against the database and all 18 rows are returned, so it's not a problem with the query.
    Under the Report Atrributes tab for the region, I checked the Layout and Pagination section. Number of rows was set to 15, which I thought explained my problem.
    I deleted the value in number of rows. But the region still only shows 15 rows.
    If I change the value in number of rows to 20, all 18 rows are shown. But again, if I delete the 20, only 15 are shown.
    Is there some other setting somewhere which is defaulting the report to 15 rows?

    That item is cleared as well. Very strange. Still can't see anything on the page that's causing it to only show 15 rows.
    Edit -
    Setting it to 999999 seems to cure the problem until I find a solution. Very strange, maybe it's a bug?

  • Can iOS Numbers copy formulas when adding new rows?

    iOS Numbers table add row is not copying previous cell formulas. Is this supported or not?
    I have a table with lots of columns and all of them have formulas. When I click at the lower left of the table to add a row, none of the new cells have the formulas. I have to manually go through every column and copy the formulas to the new row.
    This is not very practical if you're planning to use Numbers on the go with an iPad. In my case, I have to quickly get a new row ready as needed. I was hoping there is a preference setting somewhere like "copy formulas when adding new row".

    I had the same issue with the added twist that I wanted to reference the created cells in formulas in other sheets. This is what works for me:
    I use a form to enter data. The referenced sheet is set up like this:
    1     Name     Date     ServPayment    SalesPayment     Total
    2     Week1                                                                 =sum (ServPayment,SalesPayment)
    3                                                                                =sum (ServPayment,SalesPayment)
    4     TotWeek1                                                            =sum (Total2,Total3)
    "Total" sums the 2 Payments, TotWeek1 sums the totals.
    In the entry form I never add data to the empty line. In this example, I would start at "Week1" and tap the "+" to add a new form. This creates the line in the referenced sheet with my formulas. As I continue, I always start at the last entry I have made and tap "+".
    When I create a line that does not have the formula on either side, I do not get the formula.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adding/deleting rows from a treeTable with a read-only view object

    Hello --
    I'm getting a JBO-25016 error when I go to delete a row from a treeTable. I want to create the hierarchy from a stored procedure, have the user add and remove nodes without calling back to the database. I will iterate through the tree and see what has changed and made the necessary updates on the database manually.
    What is the correct method for adding/removing rows form the UI component?
