BPEL with SAP integration problem.

Hi,
I have a serious problem to integrate with SAP and BPEL.
I have to create a IDOC document in BPEL process.
Can I create IDOC in BPEL process through SAP Adapter?
Does anybody know about this?

Looks like Process B is being called successfully, if it wasn't it wouldn't be in the BPEL Console.
I suggest that you look at the Process B the in the flow in the BPEL Console. It looks like you may be assigning a variable that has not been populated.
The reason why you cann't see a instance for Process A is because Process B has not returned a value, sucess or failure. Therefore Process A is still stitting there waiting. To confirm this go to your BPEL Console select the BPEL processes tab then the manual recovery. You should see a row for your Process A.

Issue with SAP Integration Kit 3.0 to access Query BW on Crystal Reports

I've got an problem with my setup of Crystal Reports Server 2008.
I've install Crystal Reports Server 2008 and Crystal Reports 2008 on my Windows 2003 server.
My SAP Client is 7.1.
When i trie to connect my Reports on CR 2008, the connection doesn't work.
I have install SAP Integration Kit but it doesn't work because an error message says me that i've already install a Webserver for Crystal Reports Server 2008.
My Webserver is on IIS 6
My Database for CRS 2008 is SQL Server 2000.
Do you have any idea why it doesn't work ?
I have to install first my SAP Integration Kit 3.0 before install Crystal Reports Server 2008 ?

Crystal Report XI R2 compatablity with SAP Integration kit

Hi All,
we have suggested to one of our customer the Customized pack of BO XI Edge series which include the licensing of Xcelsius , WEBI , Universe designer, SAP Integration kit and Live office...
He dont want to pay extra for taking the license for cryatal report 2008 as they already using the Crystal Report XI R2 version which they use to do reporting on non SAP data.
My question is :
1 - Now they want to do reporting ove SAP data using the existing CR solution they have is it possible ??
2- Will the integration kit support the CR XI R2 version ??
3- Can he publish the Crystal Report created by CR XI R2 to the Business Object Edge Series plateform ??
They just want to use CR to do reporting on data from R/3 side .

Thanks for the reply.
Actally we have suggested to our client the latest Edge Series Standard pack solution , excluding the crystal report licensing.
My question is will the integration kit which comes along with the Edge series will support the existing Crystal Report XI R2 and can the it be integrated with BOE(can he publish the reports created with the earlier version to the Business Object plateform).
If the above sceanario is not possibe then we have to purchse the older version of integartion and i doubt if we can purchse it stand alone in that case we would be having two integration kits running to solve the purpose.

OWB SAP Integrator Problem

Hello,
i have a problem with the needed library from SAP that should be in the OWB_HOME/owb/bin/admin folder.
I am using OWB 10.1 on a linux machine, so i put the librfccm.so in this folder and set it to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH
When i want to create a sap source module, i get the error message, that the librfc32.dll is not correctly installed. Do i need this file too? Thought it is just for Windows.
Or it is just a display message bug and it could be possible that die librfccm.so maybe is the wrong version?

The librfccm.so is the file, i put into the specified directory. I got the file from the sap support site.
I also installed both the database and the owb client on a windows server. I put the librfc32.dll in the specified directory. But there i have another problem. On this machine it works to create a sap module, but when i want to set the SAP R/3 version. It is just possible to choose SAP R/3 Version 3.X.
When i choose 4.X and want to go further, nothing happens. No error message, it loads just a second. The next page where the connection details are set does not appear, the current page remains.
I tried several dll's from the sap site.
What could be the cause for this problem?

In reference to this change in the Custom Reports... Better experience when exporting data - to prevent customer confusion when exporting data from Mac computers, we have removed the export to excel option and exporting in CSV format by default.
What is the customer confusion we are trying to stop here? I've got even more confused customers at the moment because all of a sudden they can't find the export to excel option but know it exists if they log in on a PC?

BOE user synchronization with SAP Integration Kit 3.1 sp2

The admin guide provides some information about user synchronization and I have found some in other threads, but not all of my questions are answered. Could someone confirm or explain what is going on in each of the following:
1. BW Roles have been imported previously As new BW roles are created will they automatically import into BOE, or do you have to go to authenitcations role import tab select them from the left, add them to the right, and press update. I can't find anything that says it is automatic, but some people think it shoud be.
2. Similar to above, what happens in BOE when the BI role is deleted? How will BOE identify this and autormatically update? Does each user who has that deleted role have to login so that it is removed from each one? Does the administrator have to force a role import update with "force user synchronization" checked?
3. After initial role import, I understand users are added as they login to BOE. First time it will create the BOE account, Later it will update the BOE user roles based on what is BI system. either adding or removed roles from the user. However, if you will not see these new assignement until the user logs into BOE. Would a periodic role import update with force user synchronization make the changes immediate? Can you schedule the synchronization?
4. When users are deleted from BI system, how is this updated in the BOE systrem? Or do they still exist, but can't login since the BI account was deleted?
5. In BOE, we see one BI user listed twice. The user name is identical with SID~CLNT:USERNAME. Two different modified dates. In BI change records show the user had their user group field changed from blank to TEST and also one profile added and one removed. Does changing the group make this a new user? Which user should be deleted in BOE? or will a role update with Force User Synchronization fix this?

>> users may be added - that depends on the configuration in the Options configuration of the SAP authentication. there is right now no option to schedule a synchronization. if a user logs on and the user has not been imported but any assigned role from this user has been imported then the user will be added to the system.

>> users are deleted on the SAP BW or SAP ERP system and will then - either by a manual triggered update or the next logon try be removed in BusinessObjects Enterprise.

Windows Form with SAP B1 Problem

Dear all,
I'm building an add-on that use some windows form.
In Menu Event i placed the code for open my windows form:
                    MyForm xxx = new MyForm();

                    xxx.Visible = true;
                    xxx.ShowInTaskbar = true;
                    xxx.TopMost = true;
                    xxx.Text = string.Empty;

                    System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(xxx);
All works fine, but, when my form is open i can't operate on SAP.
It's like my form is modal, and until I have it open I can't do anything outside the form.
Can someone help me?

Hi Diego
There's actually two ways to build an add-on, one that runs inside SAP Business One and one that runs along SB1 side but built on windows forms. You can see this clearly if you try some of the add-on samples that come along with B1. Overall, when I did the analysis I ended up with the conclusion that I was going to spend twice the work to achieve windows forms.
First, you would have develop classes and objects that keep in communication with Business One. Second, you have to keep in mind that you cannot create, update, or delete data directly to the database unless you use the SDK provided objects and methods. Which brings you back to the SAP data sources.
Furthermore, you can run into a bit of complexity do to the fact that to illustrate data in your form, you might have to "convert" your data. For instance, say a SAP recordset into a dataset or ADO recordset. In other words, you can end up with a bit more complex architecture the way I see it.
Using the Screen Painter and SAP Business One tools such as the BIDE you can construct bound form (UDOs) which can even require very little coding from your part (if forms are not to be too complex). Once you get use to SAP's way handling data objects you see is a lot easier than trying the alternative.

OIM with ESSO integration problem

I am attempting to build a demo of OIM and ESSO, completely integrated and having trouble. I have OIM setup and working with AD, creating accounts and provisioning passwords. I am failing at integrating ESSO with it.
It seems when I copy the ESSO provisioning gateway files into the JBOSS \lib\endorsed directory, JBOSS throws a fit and I can no longer load the OIM web console.
I am running OIM 9.1.0.1 with JBoss 4.2.3.GA and JDK 1.6.0_16.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It only seems to be the xercesImpl.jar file that breaks it. I have copied all of the other files in and have modified the run.bat in the Jboss bin directory. As soon as I copy the xercesImpl.jar in, nothing works.
Any ideas?

BOE XI 3.1 + SAP Integration Kit on AIX 5.3 with WebSphere 6.1 (SOLVED)

On a recent installation I encountered a problem with SAP Integration Kit using BW Query with prompts; I want to share with you what I did to solve this problem:
First of all, the environment:
IBM Server with AIX 5.3
BO Repository on DB2 9.5
Application Server IBM WebSphere 6.1
BOE XI R3.1
Crystal Reports 2008 SP1
After installing and configuring everything on the system, I encountered some problem launching in InfoView reports created with Crystal Reports 2008 based on BW query with SAP Prompts.
The error that I recieved everytime was:
com.sap.mw.JCO.$Function
What I did to solve this was:
1) Configure the absolute complete classpath inside the Application Server (path/sapjco.jar)
2) Put the sapjco.jar version 2.18 at 32bit (unix version) that you can download at https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000463654&

Dear Gurus,
The issue I am facing is described exactly in the document "Upgrading to CR 2008 V1 / SP1" by Blair Wheadon.
The problem occurs when installing CR2008v1 and BOE 3.1 on the same machine.
The solution is to download and install SP1.
Unfortunately for me, I have downloaded SP1 but the installation is not going well.
Message prompts that installation files are corrupt and that I should download again.
I have downloaded twice. And tried several times.
So I guess it might be due to the platform.
But why wasn;'t the message displayed after BOE3.1 installation was completed?
Do you guys have an idea?

Finding Download for SAP Integration Kit Fix Pack 3.1 / ADAPT01412706

by using Crystal Reports 2008 V1 SP3 in combination with SAP Integration Kit 3.1 (SBOP INTEGRATION FOR SAP SOLUTIONS XI 3.1 SP3 WINDOWS (32B)) i get an error during the inportstep of the transports in our BW System.
This error is descriped and solved in Note 1484086

An Fix Pack for the SAP Integration Kit itself seems to be not aviable,
therefore I tried several downloads beginning with:
Crystal Reports 2008 Fix Pack 3.1 - Click Once
Crystal Reports 2008 Fix Pack 3.1 - Redist Install
Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 Fix Pack 3.1
there are no transportfiles in any of these packages.
If any from you have some idea where to find the right transport files, please let me know.

SAP Authentication problem when loggin into CMC

Hi,
I've recently started getting the following error when using SAP authentication to log-in to Designer or CMC:
Account information not recognized: All of your system's 0 Concurrent Access Licenses are in use at this time or your system's license key has expired. Try again later or contact your administrator to obtain additional licenses. (FWB 00014)
This is a pilot system so had intially entered trial licence keys, but some time back had changed these to the permanent equivalent in CMC. All was working but now get this error.
When it first appeared I noticed that the entry in registry editor did not match permanent licence key so changed this there and also in CMC - Authentication have changed licence type from concurrent to named users per our licence agreement.
This has not resolved the problem and struggling to find any other recommended solutions, any help greatly appreciated.
I'm running BOE XI 3.1 at SP3 with SAP integration kit and crystal 2008.

Thanks Seb,
All a bit odd, initially deleted licence key and replaced with a trial NUL licence, and got the same errors. Then tried with trial CPU which worked.
Also didn't make any changes to the CMC Authentication (still named licences) when inputting the CPU licence key but this seemed to have any effect.
Have you seen this behaviour before?

InfoProviders versus Queries Data Source for BO SAP Integration

Hi All,
I would like to know if there is any discussion or suggestion on commonly used choice of data source for BO with SAP Integration. I do know there is a best practices suggestion from Ingo on Webi and the choice is to use queries so that we could leverage the functionalities of calculated key figures, exit variables and etc. But as I see from another website it claims that this will slow down the access of data using queries.

Is there any slide presentations from anyone that has that kind of information? We are in the midst of implementation right now and are selecting the method. I need to come out with pros and cons of the choices that we have in order for us to select the best one even though from my gut feeling I would still prefer the Queries.
Especially it will also make use of aggregates and also data flow size might be fewer due to variable that exists. Compared to using MultiProvider, it might transfer the whole data lot and if we were to create parameter there in Crystal or something else it will filter data only from there onwards.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Diagnosis
An error occurred in the desktop application while opening a document.
Procedure
Check first whether you can insert a document from this desktop application as an embedded object in another application. The necessary menu item is usually 'Insert --> Object'. The application then lists all of the OLE document types. Choose the type corresponding to the desktop applciation. If the insertion fails, the error is in the desktop application itself.
This error has various causes. Often, it is caused by activating certain add-ins. Sometimes, the desktop application is wrongly installed. The error should not recur once you have disabled any add-ins or reinstalled the desktop application.
Procedure for System Administration
If you cannot solve the problem as described above, enter a problem message. There are notes relating to how to generate the log file using the program SAPROFFICEINTEGRATIONTRACE.
