BPM scenario: error in SMQ1
Hi friends,
i have created a basic and simple scenario using BPM. i'm sending a xml file and receiving the same file without any transformation. but i'm getting SYS FAIL error in SMQ1. error is "password logon no longer possible. too many failed attempts".
more details of error table:
user:PIAFUSER
Function module: SWF_XI_MSG_RAISE_EVENT
Destination: WORKFLOW_LOCAL_001
program: SAPMSSY1
i checked for the user PIAFUSER and its not locked.
Note: other scenario which is not using BPM (text file to xml file) doesn't have any problem or error and working properly.
thanks,
Girish

File to RFC with multiple records using BPM Scenario Error...!!!
Hello Guru's,
I have done the File to RFC with multiple records using BPM scenario as per the Materiel available in the sdn.sap. This involves BAPI (BAPI_MATERIEL_AVAILABILITY). I have done exactly the same what is their in the materiel. SXI_CACHE is also giving return value " 0 ". File is getting deleted from the source directory, but no file in target directory. SXMB_MONI is also showing no error (black Flag). BPM is also error free. Checked the interfaces also.
Can any one tell me what mistake would i have done.
Thanks in advance.Hi,
There is one similar discussion I found,

BPM Scenario: Error in SXMB_MONI
hi,
I am using a File- XI(BPM) - File scenario. After completing all the mappings and carrying out the necessary steps for configuration, when I go and see the message in SXMB_MONI - it gives me the following error:
" During the application mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_File2File_Bpm_MM_ a com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException was thrown: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation "
What is causing this error. I have gone back and checked my mapping. Everything seems fine. Please help?
regards,
ManpreetHi Manpreet,
BaseRunTime exception generally occurs in the mapping, when the mandatory fields are not coming the input file. For example, assume <Name></Name> is mapped in your mapping. But in the input file if <Name></Name> tag doesn't come, then mapping will throw BaseRunTime exception. So check your input data contains all the fields mapped in your program or not.

BPM Scenario : " Error accessing table SXMS_AS_STATUS method: INSERT"
Hi all,
Webservice --> XI -->BW .
BPM has been used to send to send the response back.
BPM :
start ->Receive(Request)> Transformation(Responsemap)>Send(SendtoR/3)->Send(Send Response) ---> stop.
We are getting the error as " The error is <SAP:Stack>Error accessing table SXMS_AS_STATUS method: INSERT</SAP:Stack>
There are some messages that Webservice sent and XI received them but this error occured during some process in XI. and this is causing some discrepancy in the data sent and received.
Any idea what might be the problem ? Is there anything which I need to change in the parameters to rectify this error?

BPM Scenario: Message has error status on outbound side
Hi All,
I am doing one BPM scenario. In my scenario i am collecting 12 different type of idocs in BPM and bundling these idocs and sending these to the 12 different files.
If i send 12 idocs from the R/3 then my scenario is working perfectly fine. If i send less than the 12 idocs that time i am getting the error message as "Message has error status on outbound side" with red flag.
Can you please explain what minght be the problem. I have already checked in SM58,SMQ1 and SMQ2.
Thanks & Regards,
PurushothamHi Nutan,
I hv configured my scenario as follows
1. Start
2. Block ( Deadline and Control step for cancell the process)
3. Fork(Necessary branches 12)
4. Loop(12 loops)
Under loop
a. Receive Step
b. Container Operation( For count)
c. Container Operation(For append)
5. Fork( Necessary branches 12)
6. Transformation
7. Send
8 Stop
This is my scenario. In the first Fork step i am checking end condition as total number of idocs is reached then i am sending all the data to the target system. If the idocs are not reaching with in 1 hour then i am cancelling the process.
Now can you please tell me what is the problem.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
I am doing Sync/Async BPM scenario.
-> Receive message and process and response back to the sender.
Sometimes it will correct correctly. Sometime the message will come and stay in XI and fails with error

</SAP:Error>
I observed that the messages will stay in transaction "SXMS_SAMON" . and will fail after sometime.
What might be the reason. ? what need to do to stop these kind of errors?
Thanks
Deepthi.Hi Praveen,
Webservice <--> XI -->BW .
BPM :
start ->Receive(Request)> Transformation(Responsemap)>Send(SendtoBW)->Send(Send Response) ---> stop.
Messages are getting struck in SMQ1 and SM58 at these three points.
1. Message comes and stays in SXMB_MONI in status "Log Version"
The messages are stuck in SMQ1 in READY status without doing any processing.
XBQO$PE_WS90100002 WORKFLOW_LOCAL_100 1 READY 26.02.2009
Once I push the queue by Activating/Unlocking, it will process.
2. when it is trying to send the message to R/3 (Backend system) it is waiting in SM58 with below entry.
WF-BATCH SWW_WI_EXECUTE_INTERNAL_RFC WORKFLOW_LOCAL_100 Transaction recorded
Manually I execute LUW to push it. Once I done the message will go to R/3 system and Response mapping also complete.
3. Again it is waiting at SM58 with below deatails while sending the response to sender.
PIAFUSER SWW_WI_COMP_EVENT_RECEIVE_IBF WORKFLOW_LOCAL_100 Transaction recorded
we are again manually execute LUW. Once we done the response message will go back to Sender.
Any Idea to solve this..?
Thanks

Hi gurus,
I am trying to send IORDER01(pm order) from an R/3 system to a file, which works fine.
but when i try to use some business logic like if order type = 'PM01' then only i have to write to the file, using ccBPM, it fails...
this is my first BPM scenario and am having trouble....have read lot of blogs etc...can u please tell me where i am going wrong...
I have a data type DT_FILE for writing to the file.
I have interfaces:
si_oa_iorder(outbound asynchronous interface for file)
si_aa_iorder(abstract asynchronous interface for idoc)
si_aa_file( abstract asynchronous interface for file)
si_ia_file (inbound asynchronous interface for file)
I have message mapping MM_IORDER2FILE mapping IDoc to flat file structure
I have operation mapping OM_IORDER2FILE where I have mapped si_aa_iorder and si_aa_file
(( Is this right? are both abstract interfaces to be mapped? or do i need to create more mappings like si_oa_iorder to si_aa_iorder etc? please clarify...))
My IP is very simple with just a 'recv step' having container element of type si_aa_iorder and 'send step' having container element of type si_aa_file to start with..i haven't yet put the switch control etc...even such simple IP fails....
I have created Configuration objects like
Business System for file receiver
Business component for Idoc sender with adapter specific details set
Communication channels for Idoc and file adapters
No sender agreement as it is Idoc communication
Receiver agreement between the Integration Process(IP_IORDER2FILE) and the file server
2 Receiver determinations between BC_idoc_send to IP and other from IP to FileRecv system
2 interface determinations , one from si_oa_iorder of BC_idoc_send to IP and other from si_aa_file of IP to file recv system.
This is my setup and this fails....
My question is..is my message mapping and operation mappings correct? and can u see any obvious blunders i am doing?
please bear in mind that with same interfaces and sending and recv components, it runs fine without BPM....so please look at the BPM bit of mappings/config that i might have missed and please advice asap..
Thanks in advance and i am sure there would be lot of gurus for whome it is just a peanut...so please reply...

hi,
Using a BPM scenario (File->File). In SXMB_MONI the status of the process is showing "Scheduled for Outbound Processing", with a green flag associated with it. How would I go about troubleshooting this error? Have checked SM58 and made sure all the queues are registered and activated. Also no messages show up in SXMB_MONI_BPE. Could you please guide on how to proceed?

BPM Collect Scenario errors at transform stage
The BPM Collect scenario is using a Fork within a Block.

Branch 2 - Receive step of triggerIdoc
End of Block
Transform step - multiline container of XML documents to one XML document

BPM Errors at Transform step with JCo mapping not available.
Whilst BPM in Error (Workflow in Error) more messages being received but never processed as the RECEIVE event is "lost" for these messages.
We are looking at redesigning the BPM to reduce the likelihood of this transform error.
In the meantime was looking at ways to Alert the administrator straight away to the error. As we have a workaround to get the process going and to pick up the stranded messages. So have started setting up the ALERT categories as described in How to Guide, for Adapter and Interface. Will this work?
Also in the Transform step there is a box (system exception) but I can't enter anything in. Is there a way to do this if the Alert category doesn't report an error in the BPM. OR do I have to add the Transform step into a Block of its own?
Advice gratefully received if we come up with a working solution will post it out here. Have spent a large amount of time reading posts and blogs on here but have not got a clear picture yet of what is best to do.
thanks,> Whilst BPM in Error (Workflow in Error) more messages

This should give you an issue called Parked Messages. The best way to deal with this is to actually define a Local Correlation. In the Block Step properties, you will have an option, Use Correlation --> Give the name of the Correlation . This will make sure that when there is an error, the Correlation become inactiva and a new BPM instance is created.

Not sure if this will work. The issue is that the messages are passed to the IE already and will be in wait step waiting for an active BPM 's receive step How will another interface pick up this message?

This is what is called exception handler. Defined a Exception handler for the Block. Right Click block, insert Exception Branch, give name of the Hanler and then you can select this in the Transformation Step's System Error. This is like Try - Catch of Java.

BPM for error handling and acknowledgements
Hi,
Can any one tell me how to handle BPM for error handling and acknowledgements in one scenario.
Please send me the link if you have other wise give me the solution on the same.
Thanks,
NageshHi !
Just check out these links This might help you.
Usually Application Level Acknowledgement is considered during Sync communication. If you are using RFC, you can make use of Sync communication. So you can handle it without bpm, provided your both sender and receiver are sync interfaces.
To know about Ack-
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f4/8620c6b58c422c960c53f3ed71b432/content.htm
you can not dirrectly access the content of the ACK, however the BPM shows different behaviours based on the ACK status. E.g. if the ACK contains a success message the BPM will continue in its normal process, if the ACK contains a permanent error, it will either stop or go through an exception branch (provided such a branch has been defined). Have a look at the documentation: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/65ce41ae343e2be10000000a1553f6/content.htm It doesnt"t state the above mentioned behaviour in detail but says that you need to define an exception branch.
The trickiest part is always to find out, when you will get a transient vs. as permanent error ack. If you are using ACKs with Proxies refer also to this link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/29/345d3b7c32a527e10000000a114084/content.htm and this http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f4/8620c6b58c422c960c53f3ed71b432/content.htm

Webservice response in BPM scenario
I am doing a BPM scenario where I take data from ERP asynchronously using proxy and send it as a request to a third party synchronous webservice. The webservice gives a response and I am using the response to send it further along to other systems.
Everything works fine if correct messages are sent and received. The problem starts when PI/BPM receives an un-expected response from the webservice. If the webservice sends an unknown error message in the response, the mapping fails and goes into the error queue. (smq2)
And the real problem is every successful message or response after that also goes into the same queue and getting stuck. Why is this happenning? Do we need to monitor and clear the error queues all the time so that subsequent successful messages go through BPM corrrectly?
Do you guys think it is a cache problem or something else?
Thank you.this is because there is no proper error handling in your BPM.
you need to handle the exceptions in case of mapping or communication failures.

File to RFC to File with BPM Scenario
Hi all,
I am trying to implement a Sender File ( async ) to RFC (sync ) to Receiver File with a BPM. I using the blog https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1926. [original link is broken] But it doesnt work. First message FileRequestOut is correct in SXMB-MONI, but the second is showing a error. I checked in SXMB-MONI-BPE and I say in workitem is follow message:
Message Error Workflow
Error handling for work item 000000001714
Work item 000000001714: Object CL_SWF_XI_MSG_BROKER method SEND_SYNCHRON cannot be executed
No reference message specified when sending a response
No reference message specified when sending a response
I configured my BPM scenario in this way:
( Sender File Adapter )
First Step
Receiver Step ( Asynchronous )
Mode: Asynchronous
Receive Message: File Request
( Receiver RFC Adapter )
Second Step
Send Step ( Synchronous )
Mode: Synchronous
Request Message: File Request
Response Message: File Response
Receiver From: Send Context
( Receiver File Adapter )
Third Step
Send Step (Asynchronous )
Mode: Asynchronous
Receive Message: File Response
Receiver From: Send Context
I have changed it, many times and I can get solve it. About my configuration objects, I think it is ok, because a tested my Interfaces in Configuration Test Tools it was ok. ( Receiver Det. Interface Mapping, etc )
I have seen in SDN, this error maybe Sencond Step must be Synchronous e Third Step must be Synchronous too. Is it true? In other hand, I have seen, it is possible to use a Async / Sync Brigde.
Could you help me about this problem?
Thanks for help

Send Step is Async

BPM: Permanent error in BPE inbound processing
Hi guys...
i am having a problem in my scenario which is involving BPM.
The problem is when i execute the interface it is showing green flag aginst PE in sxmb_moni and in smq2 one queue is showing with sysfail and BPM: Permanent error in BPE inbound processing error.
yes..i searched on SDN and found resources like Note number 1126656
i checked al the steps which were earlier mentioned posts like:
SWWL: there are no entries existing
SMQ2: cleared the queues ,regenerated but still no luck.
My undertsanding is no work is being generated at all .
I checked BPM with F7 : its correct no errors
BPM has return code of 0 in sxi_cache
In ID BPM is latest and refreshed.
Is there any way i can overcome this problem.
Your inputs will be of real help.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Kiran. My undertsanding is no work is being generated at all .
If you are getting the error for Source ---> BPM flow then there is a possibility that the ID objects (RD, Interface determination) are to be blamed.
1) Recreate these particular ID objects/ make some dummy changes
2) Activate and ensure that Cache is refreshed
3) Delete the entry in the queue (or delete the queue)....do this only if the XI system is not of Quality, production
4) some times the BPM cannot be triggered from sending a test message from RWB .... so make a testing from the source application .... this particular case has heppened to me and hence suggesting to you.

Hi
i created a bpm scenario according to the blog "RFC Scenario using BPM --Starter Kit" by Arpit Seth. I get the file into XI successfully, but after this first step nothing else happens. In the SXMB_MONI i have only one successful message that read my file.
How can i debug the reason of this problem?
thx in advance
Michaeli haven't a SXMB_MONI_BPM. But i checked SXMB_MONI again and found 2 error messages from BPM belonging to the resend tests from the PE trace.
The Response message contains following error:
