Bpm to bpm communication

Hello,
I would like to call bpm2 from bpm1 (asynchronous with correlation) wait for bpm2 to finish, evaluate the result and continue.
Is that possible?
Or do I have to nest bpm2 into bpm 1?
Thanks
Matthias

Sure this is possible. You have to have an asyncronous start interface for bpm2, and trigger the IME in bpm1 via an automatic activity.

  • BPM to BPM call without PI

    Hi Experts,
We are working on PO 7.4 single stack.
We want to trigger BPM process from another BPM process without involving PI.
As we have huge data and multiple calls to different BPM process via PI.
Any pointers on this would be helpful.

Implement the process as you normally would. Import the WSDL for the service call to start the process. Use the same WDSL in the start event of the sub process and the automated task that calls the sub process. Make sure that the Service Reference for this Web Service is of type WS. Then configure the Service Group to call the system that should run the child process. If both processes should run on the same system choose local system for the Service Group.
Bottom Line: Implement everything as you're used to. Use a Service Reference of type WS and configure the Service Group accordingly in NWA.

  • When to use BPM Studio & BPM Composer

    Hi,
I'm aware of BPM Studio and BPM Composer components and have used them using Sales Quote example.
I need to know the key differences between studio and composer that differentiate each other interms of usage.
When to go with studio and composer?
    Thanks
    Saleem

    Hello Saleem,
The Process Composer is a web based application and is typically used by Business Analysts, who do not want to have JDeveloper installed. The Process Composer can be perfectly used in user sessions. All process information defined with the Process Composer is stored in the MDS repository. It can be extracted from there and handed over to the developers, who typically do their work in JDeveloper.
Vice versa work from within JDeveloper can be given back from Jdeveloper towards the Process Composer (publish to MDS).
Another neat functionality is the ability to create BPM blueprints/templates in Process Composer and JDeveloper. These can also be shared between the two IDE's.

  • Mega BPM & Oracle BPM Integration

is it possible to integrate Mega BPM Process into Oracle BPM? Can we have any connectors or xmg file import function in Oracle BPM?

Are you using OBPM 10g? or 11g?
And are you just trying to integrate, ie. call your MEGA process from OBPM? or did you want to convert MEGA into OBPM?
Actually these questions are just for more clarification, I do not think that there is any conversion tools, and I don't know anything about MEGA.... OBPM (10g) does allow you to expose a process as a web service, maybe MEGA does too?

  • Mapping between communication channel and bpm

    Hello,
is it possible to use a mapping before a message go into the bpm?
The szenario could be as follows:
    - An E-Mail with plain text (meta data) comes in
    - The meta data should be mapped, so we can use it for correlation
    - The meta data go to the bpm
    kind regards Thorsten

is it possible to use a mapping before a message go into the bpm?
Yes. And it should be done as far as possible.
    It can be used between
    Sender -> BPM or
    BPM -> Receiver

    Dear Friends,
I am working on BPM scenario first time.
I am sending the Idoc from one ECC system to ohter ECC system using XI.
but in receiver side it has to updated after 60 minutes, for this 60 minutes requirment I am using Wait condition in BPM, but it's not waiting 60 minutes.
the Idoc is receiving reciever side whenever sender is sending the Idoc.
the Idoc is not going through BPM,it's going directly. In this case can I do some extra settings?
In BPM  Receiver-wait-send step types are used.

  • N:1 Multimapping  using bpm

    hi all,
i am doing multiple file to single file that is n:1 mapping using BPM. please send me link for the same or give some suggestion regarding this.
    thanks ,
    Anup Banerjee

    Hi,
You can use any of the collect message pattern provided. In your case any one of the following can be used:
    1. BpmPatternCollectMessage
    2. BpmPatternCollectTime
->There are some patterns in SWC : SAP BASIS --> namespace : http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Patterns In ESR of your SAP PI System.
-> please go through this blogs it will help you.

  • Error: 1:n multi-mapping using BPM for file to file scenario

Hi. Iu2019m trying to do 1:n multi-mapping using bpm scenario. I use file to file. Input file consists of many records and then I want many record to be transformed into many file at target system. I follow step in http://www.riyaz.net/blog/xipi-1n-multi-mapping-using-bpm/. However, I have a problem when file is retrieved in to XI. It doesnu2019t create any output file.
When I look at SXMB_MONI, it shows u201CNo object type found for the message Check that the corresponding process is activated.u201D Besides, it shows error message "Unable to perform action for selected message" when i clikc at PE in SXMB_MONI.
I have check at many previous posts with the same error message but still couldnu2019t solve it. I already activate my BPM and check that status in SXI_CACHE = 0. There is noting left in change list of my IR and ID.
Here is my design and configuration.
    IR

Anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks,
    Pavin

    Hi,
    Yes, thats the problem.
You are creating file from test tab of  1..N mapping .
In case of 1..N mappping in mapping Extra tags of messages are addded to the data.As shown here:-
    Messages
          Message1
               MessageType
When you use this mapping to generate xml message then it will add additional tags for <Messages> and <Message1>, which is not correct. it should only have structure of you MT.
So remove start and end tag of <Messages> and <Message1> from your data file. Mentioned below in bold.
    <xml......>
    <Messages>
    <Message1>
    <MT_...>
    </MT_...>
    </Message1>
    </Messages>
    This should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Sami.

  • When we will go for BPM

    Hi,
I want to know when exactly we go for bpm and how to work simple bpm scenario.

    Hi Sreenu,
BPM is used for Stateful communications, suppose u have to delay message processing,or wait for other messages to arrive and then semd them all together,in that case use BPM.
We will use BPM when ever we want to do the following:
1.Controling or Monitoring of messages in XI
    2. Collect or Merge the messages in XI
    3. Split the messages in XI
    4. Multicast a Message
    5. Need to send an Alert
    6. Transformation
With its BPM capability, SAP NetWeaver:
    • Exploits business-process efficiency by giving your business
users the ability to directly model, manage, monitor, and
    analyze business processes
    • Enables continuous process improvement and the dynamic
    modification of business processes
    • Extends the value of your company’s core business investment
and maximizes the return on its strategic assets by providing
the ability to change process rules without additional IT
    investment
    • Provides greater visibility into critical business operations for
better decision making by delivering the right information at
    the right time
    • Allows the integration of people, applications, and internal
    and external resources
    Process step types:
    Message relevant:
Receive: We use it to receive a message. By receiving a message we are sending the data into process. We can use it to start a process. We can use it for activating or using correlations.
Send: We use it to send either an asynchronous or synchronous message or an acknowledgement.
Receiver Determination: We use it to get a list of receivers for sub sequent send step. It calls the receiver determination that we configured in the integration directory and returns receivers list.
Transformation: We use it to change a message inside the process. E.g. bundling multiple messages into 1 or splits a message into multiple.
Using this we can create N:1 or 1:N or 1:1 transformations. In general scenario 1:N transformation is possible.
    Process flow control Relevant:
Container: We use it to set a value for target container element at runtime. Target container element and assigned value must have same value.
Control: We use it to terminate the current process and to trigger an exception and to trigger an alert.
While Loop: To repeat the execution of steps within the loop.
Fork: We use it when you want to continue a process in branches that are independent of each other. E.g. to communicate with two systems that are independent to each other
Block: We use it to combine steps that you want to execute one after the other and which are to access the local data.
Empty: It has no influence on the process flow. We use it as a place holder for a step that has not yet been defined, and as a step with no functions for test purposes.
Wait: We use it to incorporate a delay in the process.
Switch: We use it to define different processing branches for a process
    T.Codes for B.P.M:
    SXMB_MONI_BPE
    SXWF_XI_SW11
For Example a Small Explanation reg BPM for this Req we used BPM
A background program should be scheduled to run every 10 minutes to analyse any material records that have been created or changed or deleted that have occurred to the material master records in the last minute.
There are two Message Mappings involved in the whole scenario. First mapping is N:1 Mapping which will be used in BPM and second Mapping is 1:1 Mapping:
    1. First Message Mapping  N: 1 u2013 Mapping between IDoc (occurrence u2013 0...unbounded in u201CMessagesu201D tab) to IDoc with changed occurrence of its top node (IDOC) as 0...unbounded. This message mapping will be used in BPM u2013 transformation step.
Description: This BPM collects all Idocs for 10 minutes which are of Message Type (ZMATMAS05) according to Receiver Partner Number (Field u2013 RCVPRN) and calls N: 1 mapping to bundle the collected Idocs in a One External Definition for that IDOC.
    Use
You use a wait step ( ) to incorporate a delay in a process. Usually, you use a delay to define when the next step in the process is to start. You can define a delay as either a point in time or a period of time.
At runtime, the step waits until the specified point in time is reached or the specified period of time has passed. The system then continues the process by proceeding with the next step.

  • Idoc to soap using BPM

    Hi,
Plz give inputs/blogs link to do this scenario.
i want to send idoc from R3 to web service(SOAP) using BPM bec i want to get the response.
how many Message Interface i need to develop for this?

    Hi,
    These Steps may help you
    Design objects:
    Data type & Message Type
    1) Import the IDOC and Later you import the Idoc, doble click on it a export it to your driver, next import it as External Definition for reason becouse if not, you wont be able to create a MI type synch with IDOC and genericResponse structure
    2) Create data type for your Response Type of IDOC
    3) Import the WSDL File For Request and the Response Type
    4) Create the Message types according to the Data types which we created
    Messgae Interface:
    1) Outbound synchronous:
output message will be ur idoc external definition file
input message will be ur message type that u have created.
    2) Abstract Outbound Synchronous:
use the same as in Outbound Synchronous
    3) Inbound Synchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    4)Abstract Inbound Sunchronous:
input message will be ur request message of RFC/WebService
output message will be ur response message of RFC/Webservice
    Mapping
    Request Message Mapping:
b/w ur idoc external definiton and request message of RFC/WS
    response Message Mapping:
b/w ur Response message of RFC/WS and ur message type
    Interface Mapping
    Import MI(abstract) of IDOC
    Import MI of WS
select the mapping for request and response Tab
    BPM
    1) In container window define a variable named IDoc_ABS with category abstract interface and
type (select the MI of IDOC alone)
define a variable named GenericRespnse_abs with category abstract interface and type (select
       MI of genericResponse alone)
    2) Create a Recieve Step --> in property message select the container you define before of idoc.
    3) Define a Send Step--> mode synchronous
select MI type abstract and sync (idoc and genericResponse)
for property request message selects container Idoc_ABS
for property response message selects container GenericRespnse_abs.
Save your Changes and thats all for BPM
    Configuration
    1) Create scenario
Assign BS and create comunication channels with QoS (quality of service) type BE
    2) Import your BPM
       Create a Receiver Determination
-->in the target service select the BPM. Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select MI IDoc_abs only. nothing else
    Create a Receiver Determination
-->here the system who send data is BPM
-->in the target service select the BS of receiver system.Save
-->In overview windown at foot windowns select interface mapping and assing communication channel
what we do here. the flow is next
    1) Receive data from sender system and send it to BPM
    2) BPM call bs of target system (WS). how? because in interface determination you selected
       before the interface mapping

    HI,
I think for IDOC to Webservice you are going for Async to Sync bridge with BPM and have the similar steps as mentioned in below link.
Asyn - Synch BPM - Async/Sync Communication using JMS adapter without BPM (SP 19)
If there is some other flow plz let me know. Also let me know the exact error that you are facing with it.
    Thanks
